Together with my friends we always make a snowman, throw snowballs at each other and go sledging from the backyard hill. Secondly, I’m quite good at such winter sports as skiing and skating. At weekends, I go to the nearest ice-rink with my friends and we can spend several hours skating there. As for skiing, I usually do it with my father. But most of all I like the moment on the 31st of December when the clocks strike 12 am and all the family gathers together around the dining table. We then share delicious meal and drinks. My name is Marta. I"m sixteen years old. I would like to tell you about my favourite weather.
There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season brings its weather. For example, in it’s usually hot, dry and sunny. We often go to the Spain at this time of the year.
The weather in autumn turns cooler and often windy and rainy. I like watching how red and yellow leaves fall down from trees and cover the ground. Winter in my region is rather cold. It snows a lot and the average temperature is about 20 degrees below zero. The first part of spring is still chilly. However starting from the middle of April it gets warmer. I like all seasons and all kinds of weather. I can find an interesting pastime at any weather condition.
In summer I go swimming in the river Volga. In autumn I prefer spending time at home. I read books, do my homework, do some knitting and invite friends over. In winter I go skiing and sledding. In spring I often go for a walk in woods to pick flowers and listen to birds’ singing. However, my favourite weather is 20 or 25 degrees above zero.
Most of all seasons . There are many reasons for that. Firstly, it’s the time of the longest holidays during the academic year. Starting from June I know that I have three months ahead to do whatever I like. Secondly, I’m really fond of swimming and sunbathing. Sometimes I go swimming with my friends in the nearest lake. At other times my parents and I go to the seaside. Apart from swimming, I play lots of outdoor games with my peers. We play volleyball, ping-pong, hide-and-seek, etc.
One or two time a week I visit my grandparents, who live in the countryside. That’s an especially beautiful place. It’s always quiet and peaceful there. The air is also much cleaner than in the city. I have a couple of friends there, who are happy to see me. I usually stay for a couple of days to help my grandparents with their garden and to spend enough time playing, swimming and horse riding. In conclusion, I’d like to say that all weather conditions are good, but sun and heat are definitely the best for me.

Зима тоже по-своему особенна. Деревья стоят в снегу, словно яблони в цвету. Белые-белые. А снег блестит на солнце, искрится и переливается. Мороз рисует нам узоры на стекле.
Сколько за год было хорошего.

When spring comes nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter. The ground is covered with emeraldgreen grass and spring flowers. The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless, and the sun shines brightly. The trees are in full blossom. The nightingale begins to sing its lovely songs, and sweet melodies may be heard from every wood and park. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy.
Spring is followed by summer. The weather is usually fine in summer, but it can be very hot, especially in July. Sometimes there are storms with thunder and lightning. In summer people try to get away from the city noise and spend more time in the open air. They pick mushrooms and berries in the forest, swim in the rivers and lakes, go fishing and boating. Most people prefer to have their holidays in summer.
Autumn begins in September. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The leaves turn yellow, red and brown and fall to the ground. Most birds fly away to warm countries. There"s a short spell of dry sunny weather in September which is called Indian Summer. It"s a beautiful time when the sky is cloudless, the trees around are golden, the air is transparent and it"s still warm. But gradually it gets colder and colder.
