Слова и словосочетания, которые авторы считают обязательными, перечислены в списках активной лексики, данных после каждого текста, и подробно разработаны в поурочных словарях. В учебнике заканчивается изучение системы времен изъявительного наклонения, рассматриваются такие грамматические темы, как неличные формы глагола, модальные глаголы, сослагательное наклонение и некоторые другие.

The words and phrases that the authors consider to be mandatory are listed in the active vocabulary lists given after each text, and are detailed in the overtime dictionaries. The textbook ends with the study of the system of the time of the expressive inclination, such grammatical topics as non-personal forms of the verb, modal verbs, subjunctive mood and some others are considered.

The textbook can be used on courses of foreign languages, in circles, a second language groups, educational institutions, where the task is installing an active learning oral expression in English, as well as for self. The textbook consists of 20 lessons, pourochnogo grammatical handbook pourochnogo vocabulary and grammar reference tables. Subjects texts textbook household and social-political.

The words and phrases that authors consider binding, are listed in the active vocabulary lists, after each text data, and elaborated in detail pourochnyh dictionaries. Настоящий учебник предназначен для взрослых учащихся, впервые приступающих к изучению английского языка.
Учебник рассчитан приблизительно на 500 часов аудиторной и примерно такое же количество часов самостоятельной работы. К концу работы над учебником учащиеся должны приобрести навыки правильного английского произношения и овладеть устной и письменной речью на английском языке в пределах пройденной лексики и грамматики.
Тематика текстов учебника - бытовая и общественно-политическая. Ею определяется и характер лексики. Словарь содержит примерно 1 250 слов и словосочетаний. Грамматический материал соответствует программе по грамматике для первого курса языкового института. Учебник состоит из вводного курса (10 уроков), основного курса (26 уроков), поурочного грамматического справочника к вводному и основному курсам, грамматических таблиц и поурочного словаря.
