On May 22, 2017, in the assembly hall of gymnasium No. 17 of the Voroshilovsky district of Volgograd, an award ceremony was held for the laureates of the educational Action “Let's Do It Together” within the framework of the federal project “Ecology of Russia”. 2017 is the Year of Ecology in Russia, this is the year in which issues of environmental education are especially relevant. The action covered all regions of the country. At the forum in Volgograd, our school was awarded in the “Best Organization” category. The laureates of the All-Russian project were warmly welcomed by I.A. Solovyova, deputy. Chairman of the Regional Duma on Ecology and Nature Management, L.L. Kochergina, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the Volgograd Region. School No. 7 was awarded a Laureate Diploma and a set of badges to be awarded to students who took an active part in the event.

From April 10 to May 10, 2017, new environmental education lessons were held at the school. The action “All-Russian environmental lesson “Let's do it together”” consisted of several competitions designed for primary and secondary school students. As part of the lessons, schoolchildren were explained what garbage and waste are and what the difference is. A series of educational events were organized, during which schoolchildren learned that waste can be recycled, and what losses Russia is suffering due to unresolved problems associated with waste disposal.

At school, 420 students took part in the all-Russian environmental lesson “Let's do it together.” The action made it possible to increase schoolchildren's awareness of waste management, improve the social culture and activity of children, and identify environmental leaders. Interestingly, the school is hosting a campaign to collect and further recycle batteries, which is the children’s contribution to solving environmental problems. Our eighth graders took part in the “Clean Coast” campaign. And the environmental lessons, which were conducted by the students themselves, were not just educational in nature, they were rather practical in nature; there were no indifferent people in these classes. The team of eco-leaders consisted of students in grades 9 and 10. 15 high school students conducted 20 eco-lessons for schoolchildren in grades 5-8. Based on the results of their work, each eco-leader posted a presentation on the website of the Let's Do Together campaign, which included a photo report. After the eco-lessons, students from each class produced their own eco-poster on the topic “Freedom from Waste”, the best of which were posted on the campaign website.

By participating in environmental competitions and lessons, schoolchildren brought points not only to their school, but also to the regional headquarters. The Volgograd region took 4th place in this regional competition. And we are glad that a piece of our work has yielded such good results.

And the action is long-lasting. Summer is coming. A specialized environmental camp is opening at our school, where work on studying environmental issues will continue, new projects will be created and implemented under the guidance of teachers. There will be eco-quizzes and competitions, which will help identify new eco-leaders and potential activists in the environmental field.

Create a team of like-minded volunteers to implement socially significant environmental projects for the benefit of their cities, regions and the entire country. Ksenia prepared a portfolio of the work done as part of the “Freedom from Waste” event and lesson. I also prepared a video about myself and my work. But, unfortunately, she did not become a winner at this level.

As a result of the action, Alena Viktorovna Lukashuk was awarded a letter of gratitude from the State Duma of the Russian Federation as “The best curator of the action in an educational institution”

At the Magadan Ecological and Biological Lyceum, on April 7, students in grades 8-10 conducted eco-lessons among students in grades 5-7. The lessons were attended by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources for the Magadan Region, Evgenia Mikhailovna Kovtun.

13 eco-leaders of our lyceum spoke about a responsible attitude towards nature and proper waste disposal. Eco-leaders worked in pairs: Ksenia Shishkina and Angela Rybakova, Alena Neklesa and Alina Timofeeva, conducted lessons in 7th grade. The result of their work was the active participation of the children in eco-games, which the students created on their own, and the 7th grade children also prepared emblems calling for the conservation of natural resources and waste disposal, after listening to the lesson.

Andrienko Anastasia and Lastochkina Natalya conducted eco-lessons in the 6th grade, Dostovalova Tamara and Mustafina Alexandra, Aleksina Ekaterina and Arkhipova Ekaterina conducted eco-lessons in the 5th grade. The children of these classes were very interested in one of the questions of the lesson, this is “The Life Cycle of Things”. Eco-leaders held active games on this issue and identified the most active participants. At the end of the lesson the children received medals.

Eco-leader Yulia Nalobina taught a lesson in 6th grade. At one stage of the lesson, Yulia prepared things and objects (old jeans, a plastic bottle, a candy box) that require recycling, and invited the children to make a list of how these things can be given a second life. The guys offered a lot of options, but the most important thing they remembered is that you can’t just throw away things or household items, they can be reused.

Zharkova Sofia and Ulybina Karina taught eco-lessons in two different 5th grades. The children really enjoyed the eco-games prepared by the eco-leaders. At the end of the lesson, the children drew pictures in defense of nature.

In all classes where eco-leaders taught lessons, all participants were invited to participate in the Eco-Poster competition.

Many guys were surprised by the carelessness of man when they saw the “Pacific Garbage Patch.” Others were surprised by the decomposition cycle of things they use every day (plastic bottle, tin can). Many have changed their attitude towards the environment and, most importantly, realized that they need to protect nature and properly dispose of waste.

On April 14, students of the Lyceum of Ecological and Biological in Magadan, being active participants in the All-Russian environmental lesson “Let's do it together!”, held an environmental event among students of 5th and 4th grades. Eco-leaders Ksenia Shishkina and Angela Rybakova, having become interested in their first eco-lesson conducted in the 7th grade, decided to continue teaching junior schoolchildren.

During the lesson, the eco-leaders had a fascinating conversation with the children and suggested that the whole class draw an eco-poster. Having prepared the necessary details, they and the children managed to design the drawing in the form of an appliqué. The children were very interested in working in the lesson. They asked questions with great interest, and the eco-leaders answered them in the form of a game.

From March 15 to May 20, 2017, new environmental education lessons will be held throughout Russia. “Let's do it together!” – an annual educational event within the framework of the federal party project “Ecology of Russia”. 2017 is a year in which environmental education issues are especially relevant. That is why this year the All-Russian Action “Let's do it together!” will cover all regions of Russia.

The theme of the 2017 Promotion is waste management. Participants of the Action will learn more about environmental issues related to waste, the life cycle of things and conscious consumption, as well as the separate collection and recycling of waste into new things. The action will improve the social culture and activity of children and identify environmental leaders and potential activists in the environmental field, who will become a worthy replacement in activities related to environmental protection.

The action “All-Russian environmental lesson “Let's do it together!” will consist of various elements, mandatory of which are eco-lessons. As part of the lessons, schoolchildren will be explained what garbage and waste are and what the difference is between them. A series of educational events will be organized, during which schoolchildren will learn that waste can be recycled and what losses Russia suffers due to environmental problems.

In addition, the participants of the Promotion will conduct various social and environmental extracurricular activities and competitions.

By participating in competitions, schoolchildren will be able to bring points not only to their school, but also to regional headquarters, which will also compete with each other in their activity. According to preliminary estimates on a national scale, in the all-Russian environmental lesson “Let's do it together!” Several million schoolchildren will take part.

The action, which started this spring as part of the party project “Ecology of Russia,” involves 438 educational institutions in the city and more than 56 thousand schoolchildren. In Moscow, 872 environmental lessons have already been conducted, which are designed to improve the environmental and social culture of schoolchildren, to identify among them eco-leaders who will become a worthy replacement in activities related to environmental protection.

On April 25, an open environmental lesson took place in the Northern District of Moscow at school No. 1288 named after Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Trojan.

It was attended by: coordinator of the “Environmental Education” direction, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko, deputy of the Moscow City Duma Nadezhda Perfilova and member of the Public Chamber of Moscow, chairman of the Public Council of the Northern District of Moscow Sergei Ladochkin.

Together with high school students, they carried out landscaping of the school grounds: they planted rowan seedlings, and then conducted an environmental quest. Thanks to the modern technical capabilities of the school, intercom switching allowed several classes to simultaneously take part in the lesson and subsequent discussion on environmental issues. In turn, the guys showed the guests videos that they filmed themselves on an environmental theme: “Garbage to the wind,” “Save energy,” “Don’t pour water.”

Representatives of the All-Russian environmental social project “Ecobox” donated an eco-container to the school for collecting used batteries, broken thermometers and used energy-saving lamps. Now children can independently dispose of hazardous household waste.

“It is obvious that in the development of environmental awareness, the role of the school is great, which can and should instill in children a sense of belonging to nature, a sense of its beauty, which does not allow them to treat it in a consumerist, barbaric manner, or show soulless carelessness,” noted Moscow City Duma deputy Nadezhda Perfilova.

Ecological lesson “Let's do it together!” is an educational project that aims to attract attention and interest in environmental issues. In addition, the events carried out within its framework make it possible to unlock the potential of adolescents and young people, increase their interest and activity in solving environmental problems. Therefore, the main venues for conducting eco-lessons are schools and other educational institutions. Today during the lesson, students learned about how waste, unlike “garbage,” can serve as a valuable raw material for recycling and the production of new useful things, what separate waste collection is, and what contribution everyone can make to solving these issues. It is gratifying that the problem of waste and its disposal deeply affected the children, the discussion was very lively.
