1. People like different seasons.

1) What is Dan’s favourite season?

I like sunny, frosty weather. The days are short but it is often sunny. When the weather is snowy, I like going skiing and skating. Trees are white and roads are white, too. That"s fantastic! When it is very cold, I don"t go out to play. I watch TV at home.

Мне нравится солнечная морозная погода. Дни короткие, но часто солнечно. Когда погода снежная, мне нравится кататься на лыжах и на коньках. Деревья белые, и дороги тоже белые. Это волшебно! Когда очень холодно, я не выхожу играть. Я смотрю телевизор дома.

2) What weather does Dan like?

I like winter very much. In winter the days are short. But they are often sunny. It is sometimes snowy in winter. Trees are white and roads are white, too. That"s fantastic! When the weather is snowy, I go skiing. I like skiing very much. I like sunny, frosty weather. We play snowballs and make a snowman. In winter I usually put on my warm coat and my hat. But when it is very cold, I don"t go out to play.

Мне очень нравится зима. Зимой дни короткие. Но они часто бывают солнечными. Зима бывает снежной. Деревья белые, и дороги тоже белые. Это волшебно! Когда погода снежная, я катаюсь на лыжах. Мне очень нравится кататься на лыжах. Мне нравится солнечная морозная погода. Мы играем в снежки и делаем снеговика. Зимой я обычно надеваю тёплое пальто и шапку. Но когда очень холодно, я не выхожу играть.

I like winter very much. I was born in winter, in December. I like skiing and skating.

- Yes it is. Days are often warm in spring.

What do you do when it is snowy?
- When it is snowy, I usually stay at home. And you?
- When the weather is snowy, I go skiing.

There are four seasons in the year: winter, spring, summer and autumn. Every season has its fine days and is pleasant in its own way. As for me, I try to enjoy each season of the year. I like warm and beautiful days of early autumn. People often call this period «Indian Summer». In winter the trees are covered with white snow and look beautiful. Besides, winter is a time of joy. Winter holidays are always connected with presents, good mood, parties and a lot of fun. When spring comes, the air is full of freshness and aroma of flowers. Summer brings warmth and new joys.

My favourite season is summer. As I am a student, I may enjoy my summer holidays. They are always full of fun. The weather is usually fine, it is warm and the days are the longest in the year. I may spend a lot of time with my friends. When it gets very hot, we usually go to the river, sunbathe swim and play different games. Sometimes, the weather gets cold. Dark clouds bring thunder and lighting and it starts raining. But I like summer thunderstorms, they make the air fresh and we can see a rainbow across the sky. Besides, in summer the first fruits and vegetables appear. My favourite fruit is a melon. But I also like peaches, plums and cherries. Summer is a really good time for me.
