Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School. Rules for admission to the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School (military institute) named after Army General V

Good afternoon residents of SM!
I want to write about my youngest son, Danya, about his dream and how it came true.
As Danya says, if I could have been born wearing combat boots, I would have done it

Since childhood, he has been very fond of weapons, military uniforms, and has watched all the films about the Airborne Forces. When the question arose about buying new shoes, he asked for ankle boots. I had to buy it because I couldn’t walk in other shoes. With the money I saved, I even bought myself an airsoft machine, which shoots quite accurately at targets.
Closer to 9th grade, he said that he wanted to enter the Ryazan Military School. My husband and I were not very happy with this choice in our hearts, we tried to dissuade him, but when he successfully completed 9th grade, he said that he would finish 11th grade and enter the RGVVDKU (Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Order of Suvorov twice Red Banner Command School named after General army of V.F. Margelov).

I'll digress a little from the topic
We ourselves moved to Russia from Uzbekistan in 2001, and now we live in a village in the Vladimir region.
How much we had to go through to obtain citizenship, probably more than one post could be written, but that’s not about that now.
In 2014, my husband’s work required him to undergo an FSB check, which he failed because, as it turned out, we had dual citizenship. No one considered the notarized renunciation of Uzbek citizenship, which we sent to the Uzbek embassy in 2005 (or 2006, I don’t remember). We decided to refuse with the whole family so that the children would not have problems in the future. To renounce citizenship of Uzbekistan, in April 2014, we collected a pile of documents, paid $30 per person, wrote an application for renunciation of citizenship at the Uzbek embassy and began to wait for the refusal. According to the law, they were supposed to give us the treasured papers within a year, but in fact we received a refusal only in May 2018.
I am writing in detail about the refusal, because without this refusal Danya would not have been able to enter the RGVVDKU; he later said that there were about five people with dual citizenship who were not accepted for this reason.

So. In our village, school is only up to 9th grade, and in 10-11 you need to go to the city.
When he was studying, I still hoped in my heart that he would change his mind, he is so stubborn that it was simply useless to talk him out of anything.
Since the school is new, it turned out that his math and physics skills are not very good. We looked at the RGVVDKU website to see which exams are needed for admission. Russian, mathematics and physics. Well, of course, physical education must be passed according to the standards already there, in Ryazan, with 100 points.
There are no problems with physical education, he runs and pulls up normally, within the standard. But for the Unified State Exam in all three subjects, he studied with tutors at school and completed assignments at home almost every day.
In December 2017, we went to the military registration and enlistment office and began collecting documents, going through doctors, filling out a bunch of questionnaires, characteristics, autobiographies, etc.
They didn’t tell him that they wouldn’t take him without renouncing his citizenship, so that he wouldn’t lose heart and continue studying. We hoped that a refusal would come.

In April 2018 we went to Ryazan for an open day. I liked everything very much, everything was organized at the highest level. The cadets performed, then we were divided into groups and given a tour. The territory is huge, clean, there is a swimming pool, the barracks are also clean and cozy. They let me shoot with a weapon (training). Danka knocked out 9 out of 10 (who would doubt it).

Who are the current sergeants? What does their training look like? Having visited the RVVDKU, I received an answer to these questions, communicating with teachers and cadets for two days, observing their life and studies. In this part we will talk about contract cadets studying sergeant training for 2 years and 10 months, the so-called. professional sergeants.

Faculty of Secondary Professional Education of the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School (Military Institute) named after Army General V.F. Margelov (branch) of the Federal State Military Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces “Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” in Ryazan was created in accordance with the directive of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated December 31, 2008 No. D-112 and on the basis of the staff approved by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated September 25, 2009 No. 17\269.

At the faculty, cadets are trained in the following specialties:

Total for studying at the Faculty of Open Secondary Education in 2009-2010. 448 people were enrolled, 343 people remain to serve at the moment.
Several hundred people were screened out before admission because... they showed no desire to study, but simply hoped to receive a 10-20 thousand scholarship, eat for free and have a roof over their heads. There is evidence of poor performance by military registration and enlistment offices and unit commands in selecting candidates.
During the training, another 105 people dropped out for the following reasons:
Cadets who pass the entrance examination “satisfactorily” receive a salary in the amount of 7,000 rubles, this amount does not satisfy them;
During service (by conscription or contract) in other troops there were no strict requirements regarding service, but when entering for training they were faced with demands, the need to comply with established rules of behavior, and fulfill the prescribed norms of military service;
They made a mistake in choosing their future profession and realized that military service was not their calling;
Close relatives and family members are not happy with the choice made and do not agree that training takes place in isolation from families.

Initially, C grade students received 7,000 rubles each, but at the moment the situation regarding payments with all bonuses looks like this:
if there is at least one C grade in any of the subjects - 10 thousand;
if there is at least one B in any of the subjects - 15 thousand;
if all grades are A - 20 thousand.
Those who fail are simply expelled. The teachers very much approve of this decision, because... There is no need to drag out outright incompetents and quitters.

The training program is as follows:

At the end of the training, final state certification of graduates is carried out:
1. Final interdisciplinary exam in the specialty
- General tactics
- Specific tactics
- Management and communications
- Engineering support
- RCB protection
- Military topography
2. State exam in the discipline “Physical education (preparation)”

The working time schedule looks like this:
...after morning activities (getting up, exercise, washing, examination, breakfast, training), the FSF cadets leave for scheduled classes. From 9.00 to 14.00, in accordance with the class schedule, cadets are in class. After scheduled classes and lunch, they are given time to independently prepare for classes the next day. After completing independent training, from 18.40 to 19.20, planned activities are carried out with the cadets: sports work and educational work.
After completing self-training and carrying out mandatory activities, from 19.30 cadets are given personal time with the right to leave the faculty territory (departure for the city).
Since all cadets of the Faculty of Secondary Professional Education are military personnel undergoing military service under a contract, then in accordance with Art. 244 of the Charter of the Internal Service of the RF Armed Forces is allowed to stay outside the school for up to 24 hours, and for family cadets (whose families live with them) until 7.30 the next day.
Control of personnel departing from the territory of the faculty is carried out by the unit commander, the officer who controls the daily routine and the company duty officer.

At the moment, first-year (193 people) and second-year (150 people) cadets are studying. We can confidently say that only those who really want to study and serve as a sergeant remain, the rest have dropped out, for example, now 43 cadets are excellent students, 128 are studying for four and five, the rest have a range of grades from “3” to “5”. I talked to the guys about why they decided to become sergeants. Many are motivated by a good salary and social package promised upon admission, which adds up to the desire to be a military man. There are some cadets who were unsure that they would be able to study under a higher education program to become an officer, so they chose something simpler - a secondary vocational sergeant. The contract is signed for 8 years at once - 2 years and 10 months of training, then 5 years in the military. Recently an order was issued according to which a cadet who refused further studies at his own request must return to the state the money spent on his education; until this moment it was possible to quit without any consequences.
Sergeant cadets and officer cadets undergo training in the military directly at the school, commanding platoons of three-month conscript cadets.
The guys’ vision of their future is very interesting: “We are sergeants of the new army! We are the best! We will change the armed forces! We will train soldiers in a new way!” Moreover, they say this without any bragging, but as a matter of course.

I'll move on to photos and videos. On the day of my arrival, the Faculty of Special Education was supposed to have parachute jumps. During a year of training, future sergeants make four jumps, and the fourth is necessarily from an Il-76.

Snow fell every now and then, so the flight was postponed and postponed. In order not to stand on their feet, the cadets rested their legs

I took a photo of one of those landing in a circle

Sling cutter

This is a mechanical safety device designed to open a parachute after a specified time interval (using a clock mechanism) if the parachutist for some reason did not do this on his own.

Shoes for jumping were clearly chosen democratically - some in felt boots, some in high boots, some in sneakers

When the sky brightened a little and the snow stopped, several people boarded the An-2 for a test jump

The first one is gone!

The next group is getting ready

As you can see, the gloves are quite a free sample

Unfortunately, as soon as the An-2 landed after the second batch, it started snowing again and the jumps were finally canceled that day.

I took these photos and videos during classes

One of the teachers. At the moment, 60% of the school’s teaching staff is on staff, awaiting either appointment or dismissal, while the prospects are not very clear. The school needs to reach a full recruitment of three-year sergeants (according to the plan, 1,615 people) in order to retain all the teachers, but so far there are not so many candidates recruited. A real solution to the problem can only be achieved next year, when pay for military personnel is increased, and military service will regain its former prestige.

Having entered the Airborne Forces School, each cadet becomes a member of a single airborne brotherhood for life, because in the Airborne Forces they say: “There are no former paratroopers.”

One of the most prestigious military colleges in Russia today is the Ryazan Airborne School. In November 2018, it will celebrate its centenary; it was originally formed as the Ryazan Infantry Course. Over the course of its existence, the school has graduated several hundred thousand first-class military personnel who have defended and continue to defend the country for many years.

Ryazan Airborne School and its history (1918-1947)

RVVDKU (formerly RIVDV) today bears the honorary name of General V.F. Margelov, who put a lot of effort into making this educational institution one of the best in the country. On November 13, 1918, the Ryazan Infantry School (that’s what it was called then) opened its doors to its first students. Three years later, the institution became the owner of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee award for the courage shown by its students.

In August 1941, a decision was made to form a military parachute school on the basis of an existing educational institution evacuated to Kuibyshev. The school was engaged in training military personnel for the airborne troops, but few people knew about this; the uninitiated took it for an ordinary military unit.

In the fall of 1943, the school received an award - the Order of the Red Banner, which was awarded for the front-line successes of officers trained by the school. In 1946-1947, the current secondary school was located in the city of Frunze (now Bishkek), after which it returned to its rightful place - in Ryazan.

History of the school: post-war years

In 1958, the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union decided to reorganize the existing educational institution into the Higher Combined Arms Command School. The duration of study was increased to four years, and the diplomas that graduates received became equivalent to any document confirming higher education. The training of students remained at the highest level.

Who does the school teach?

In addition to the school itself, there is a large training center, a parachute club and an aviation military transport squadron. Cadets live in barracks-type dormitories and study in educational buildings, laboratories, complexes, and gyms. The school has its own shooting range, as well as a stadium with a sports complex. Next to the establishment there is a consumer services plant.

RVVDKU (Ryazan) trains certified specialists in three specialties and two specializations at once, adhering to the state order, which is formed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. All programs are structured so that the duration of study for each of them is five years. Girls are admitted to the school on a general basis.

Ryazan Airborne School: faculties, departments

In total, the educational institution has three faculties: secondary vocational education - 8 (this is where you can get secondary vocational education), additional vocational education and a special faculty, where military personnel from abroad are trained. The role of the leading units of the RVVDKU is performed by platoons, departments and companies. As of 2015, there are 19 departments operating on the territory of the school.

15 out of 19 departments are military, the remaining 4 are general professional (Russian and foreign languages, humanities and natural sciences, mathematics and natural sciences, general professional disciplines). The school employs experienced specialists, among them more than 20 doctors of science and more than 150 candidates.

Extrabudgetary faculty

The school also has a Faculty of Communications and Automotive Transport, where you can get education on an extra-budgetary basis. It trains bachelors in the specialties “Automobiles and Automotive Industry” and “Personnel Management of Organizations”. The training lasts four years, the student can receive education in full-time and part-time forms.

To enter the first specialty, you must pass the Unified State Exam in the Russian language, mathematics and physics, and for the second - in the Russian language, mathematics and social studies. For each discipline, it is recommended to check with the school itself, since it may vary. The cost of annual training in both specialties has not changed since 2013. As of June 2015, it is 64 thousand rubles for full-time studies and 28 thousand for correspondence courses.

Educational process

RVVDKU (Ryazan) differs from all other military schools in that the educational process is structured completely differently here. The training is organized in such a way that all students receive not only theoretical, but also practical skills, and quite often this happens within the same lesson. There is practically no division between lecture and practical courses.

The duration of training is 5 years for cadets, and those who want to become officers will have to study a little longer - 5 years and 10 months. Cadets study for 10 semesters, at the end of each of them they must take tests and exams, this is similar to the examination session in civilian higher educational institutions.

Theoretical classes include attending lectures, writing laboratory and test papers, and attending extracurricular consultations. Practical work includes internships, group classes and exercises. From the second year onwards, all cadets must defend coursework on a topic previously agreed upon with their supervisor.

Over the entire five years of training, cadets spend more than 12 months on field trips. Every year, cadets go on a thirty-day vacation in the summer and a fourteen-day vacation in the winter. Those cadets who graduated from the school with honors receive an advantage in choosing the place where they will serve, according to the existing order.

Who can become a cadet at the school?

Admission to the Ryazan Airborne Forces School begins on the first of July every year. Young people face quite serious health requirements. Those who have not served, if they are not yet 22 years old, as well as those who are currently serving on conscription or on a contract basis (up to 25 years old) can become cadets. Even those who previously served in the army are allowed to enroll, provided that they are not yet 24 years old.

All potential cadets are required to undergo a medical examination and submit the relevant documents to the admissions committee. Active military personnel must attach a medical record to the card. It should be noted that applicants with criminal, anti-Russian, nationalist and obscene tattoos are not accepted into the school; these are its internal rules.

To enroll in the Ryazan Airborne Forces School, you must provide photocopies or originals of documents proving your identity and education, as well as certificates of passing the Unified State Exam. Candidate cadets who already have secondary education can enroll after internal examinations, which the school organizes independently.

Admission conditions: Unified State Exam

All potential students of the RVVDKU school (Ryazan) planning to study in higher education programs undergo an assessment of general educational skills, which is carried out based on the results of the Unified State Exam. To enroll in the specialty “Human Resources Management”, you must provide certificates of passing exams in mathematics (passing score - 27), social studies (42 points) and Russian language (36 points).

To study the specialty "Translation and Translation Studies" you must pass a foreign language (passing score - 22), Russian language (36 points) and history (32 points). For the specialty “Infocommunication Technologies” you will need to pass physics (passing score - 36), mathematics (27 points) and Russian language (36 points).

Those who plan to study in a secondary education program may not provide Unified State Examination certificates; the decision on enrollment will be made by the admissions committee based on other parameters. We are talking about fitness for health reasons and assessing the physical fitness of the future cadet; they will also be helped to determine the category of professional suitability without conducting any exams.

Admission conditions: physical training

The Ryazan Airborne Military School has a special status, and all its cadets must have excellent physical training. That is why applicants are required to go through a physical fitness level test, this applies to both boys and girls. If an applicant is going to receive higher professional education, he will have to take pull-ups, running and swimming (if conditions permit).

If the applicant plans to receive secondary vocational education, the same exercises are offered, but the standards for enrollment in this case are slightly higher. You are given only one chance to perform a physical exercise; the results are entered into the competition list along with data from the Unified State Examination certificates. Based on them, the decision on enrollment is formed.

Admission to the Ryazan Airborne Forces School requires the applicant to be in good physical shape, so it is best to start preparing in advance. Having diplomas, certificates, and awards in the field of sports disciplines is welcome, but this does not give priority in admission.

Educational and methodological work

The Ryazan Airborne Forces School is famous for its teachers, all of them have extensive service experience, about 150 of them were participants in combat operations in Afghanistan, South Ossetia, and the North Caucasus. Thanks to this, all cadets receive the most necessary skills for further military service. Among other things, teachers constantly conduct methodological work with their students aimed at improving the quality of education.

Beginning teachers here can also acquire the skills necessary to work with cadets; a “School of Pedagogical Excellence” has been opened especially for them, the duration of training is two years. Periodically, the school organizes methodological experiments, as a result of which the latest teaching methods are developed in military educational institutions.

Oath

The oath at the Ryazan Airborne Forces School takes place in early September; parents and friends of first-year students usually come to this solemn event. The school management congratulates all students.

According to existing tradition, the oath always ends with a solemn march and demonstration performances in which officers and cadets take part. Parents can ask all their questions to the head of the school, as well as to the teachers who are always present at the oath of freshmen.

How to get there?

The educational institution has a favorable location and is located near the Ryazan-1 railway station. The address of the Ryazan Airborne Forces School is pl. General of the Army V.F. Margelov, 1. To get from the station to the school, you need to take bus route No. 5 “Railway Station - Turlatovo Platform”, then get to the stop “Library named after M.
