They say that it undermines trust not in the ROC-MP, but in Orthodoxy as such. Let us agree with them that we recognize: Fr. Andrei began a discussion about Orthodoxy as such. Moreover, he began so that everyone was interested. And theology, in general, is such that it becomes interesting to “everyone” when it succeeds in seriously offending at least a few. Even Jesus couldn't do it any other way.

Himself about. Andrei understands this perfectly, but he has no time to explain: acting and explaining his actions are two different jobs, and here, God forbid, he can cope with at least the first one. So I decide to at least slightly take on the second. Here, I hope, it is not a hindrance that Fr. Andrew believe in different orthodoxy.

So, what exactly is trust being undermined for, if it is not only the ROC MP?

Trust is undermined in the class of the clergy. Or so: to the clergy, which is kept as an estate, that is, as an isolated corporation. There are enough such clergy outside the ROC-MP.

The clergy like to keep themselves corporate and separate themselves from the "laity". And here comes o. Andrey drives straight into the brain with nails that such behavior is characteristic of psychopaths of varying degrees of social danger. Once again I repeat: not crooks, namely psychopaths.

Secular people also poorly understand this idea of ​​Fr. Kuraev. They are accustomed to perceive church swindlers, especially bishops, in the same way as secular swindlers. It seems to them that the corporate closeness of the clergy is an automatic consequence of the main law of the corrupt business “money loves silence”. But such an opinion is refuted by the experience of small church organizations, where there is almost no business and money, and the corporate isolation of the clergy is at its best. It is in the world that Karl Marx is right, and the economy is ahead. And in religion, economics always catches up with psychology, and psychiatry cannot keep up with it at all.

If the clergy treat the laity as "strangers among us," then a healthy response to such behavior is to consider isolating such "strangers" from society. This is a problem that ordinary believers should be freed from by law enforcement and the healthcare system.

Such is the leitmotif of Fr. Kuraev, and I very seriously disagree with him, but only in one thing: in my opinion, believers - if they believe in what I believe in, but Fr. Kuraev, they must free themselves, and not wait for the help of the state.

Mutant swan

Father Kuraev, apparently, was the first to describe the phenomenon of the psychopathologization of an entire class - the clergy, isolated from the rest of the believers by the conditions of their lives. This is the kind of clergy who serve for money, and do not work in secular work.

In such class, in itself, there is nothing criminal or psychopathological. But a lot of danger. Therefore, early Christianity did not really approve of it. The Apostle Paul has reasoning that he would have the right not to work, which is given in the Law of Moses, but it is better for him to work - in a secular job.

Where Christianity became a state cult, a professional clergy inevitably arose. Here appeared their difficulties, but they could not become catastrophic. There was a continuum between professional clergy and everyone else: society as a whole lived by the same values ​​and it was all in the whole interested in some part of it being engaged in these values ​​without being distracted. This part, in turn, understood what society wanted from it, and tried to comply. Therefore, under the watchful and competent gaze of society, it was capable of self-purification. This ability manifested itself somewhere better, somewhere worse, but the understanding of right and wrong was common to everyone - both for clerics and for everyone else. A social division arose between the clergy and society, but there was no gap in the understanding of good and evil.

If there were not even a social division between the clergy and the flock - as was the case with the Apostle Paul and in early Christianity - then there would not even be ground for a gap in the understanding of good and evil. Now the soil has appeared, but the difference in understanding of basic values ​​still did not grow on it - the atmosphere did not allow it.

The atmosphere changed when society became secular. Secular society as a whole does not need any priests at all. He has his own rulers of thoughts, he has enough. And the priests have only two ways in it: either marginalization among small groups of believers, as was the case in the first centuries of Christianity, or ... And what is “either”? There's a big question here. It is answered by militant Islam when it tries to crush a secular society. But where can our lured "political Orthodoxy" care about martyrs and Mujahideen... And then what?

This is where the endless clumsiness of hands and numerous frauds begin. In Western countries, even the most secular, the problem is at least mitigated by the fact that society is accustomed to a large number of priests in their own environment. There are two parallel processes going on: priests are trying to convince society that without them it will lose something worth regretting, while at the same time they themselves are trying to change and adapt. This is a normal social process. It is different in the post-Soviet space: historically — now “historically” this is precisely what — there were no priests on it, and they need to be able to crawl across it for the first time. This is a completely different task.

The vast majority of reasonable people, including believers, but not financially interested, seeing such a grandiose goal, will ask only one question: Why? If there is no flock, then why so many shepherds?

Another part of no less intelligent people, including non-believers, but sympathizers, including Fr. Kuraev, - he will say: Then, that there will be shepherds, then the flock will gather for them.

Those who argue in this way are formally right: a Russian proverb says that a minimum of parishioners gather even around a log, if a phelonion is put on it. The only thing that is debatable here is what would be the value of such a church. The normal church order presupposes the construction of church communities from below: first the community gathers, and then it itself and from its own midst chooses a candidate for the priesthood. But for this, the community must consist of conscious Christians, and not consumers of ritual services who will gather around a religious business professional sent to them.

Missionary about. Kuraeva attracted the public to those priests who were stamped by the authorities. It came out successfully, although unsightly. But about twenty years ago, it seemed to many that these were difficulties of growth. The youth of that time, as Fr. Andrei, in a dozen or two years it was necessary to turn the ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. And today we contemplate that swan, the grandiose mutant swan.

The huge human flows that overwhelmed the ROC-MP in the 1990s, for the most part, poured back - they “de-churched”. And those that didn’t pour out - they just stagnated, bloomed, fermented and smelled ...

Did the missionaries with Father Kuraev at the head teach them this? - In words, of course, something else. In fact, who knows.

The genetics of pop mutations

Missionary calculation Fr. Kuraev could justify himself in historical Russia. There society knew what it wanted from the priests; there the clergy would have been under competent public control. But, as we said above, the external environment in post-Soviet Russia has changed. A change in the external environment has a mutagenic effect. So the priests mutated. The new generation did not begin to correct the sins of the old, but began to take new and new heights, which they could reach, standing on the shoulders of the Soviet church giants who raised them.

In the country of unbelievers, it is possible to recruit believing clergy, but only in small numbers. Enough for the sect, but not for the mass church. And for a mass church, you need to take what is given, which means unbelievers. And, most importantly, all the clergy must be trained in such a way that faith is not necessary for service. A believer in such a company is possible, but accidental, and his most likely fate is to be spit out of the "system", as happened with Fr. Kuraev, or be crushed by her, as this also almost happened with the same Fr. Kuraev (when he sat for a long time in the pose of Humpty Dumpty on the bell of this meat grinder).

The environment of the mass clergy in a non-religious environment consists of money. Not from people and their money, as in a country with religious traditions, but money simply alienated from those who brought them. Yes, there are a lot of poor rural parishes where there is no money. But there is no life there either. There are no career lifts, but, on the contrary, there is a cemetery of priests' careers: these are places of exile and imprisonment, where priests cry and gnashing of teeth.

But where there is money, there is a super-profitable business. The more non-church the population, the more superstitious it is, and the easier it is then to make money on its superstitions. The foundations of such an economy laid down in the 1990s are described by Nikolai Mitrokhin. What was added to this in the "fat zero" in a few years will be described by some journalists based on the materials of the Investigative Committee. Now these details are not important to us.

Another thing is important - that is why the life of the ROC MP is so incomprehensible to secular people and the current criticism of its Fr. Kuraev. They do not understand why, among the many sins of church leadership, there should be such an emphasis on homosexuality. Alas, it is impossible otherwise: this is the fundamental feature of the studied psychopathological group.

Narcissism and homosexuality

It is very difficult to explain to secular people how the leadership of the mass church works for the non-church population. I will try to do this in several stages, moving from the usual to "aliens among us."

So, stage zero: imagine a corrupt official inside the power vertical. Now, by the method of successive iterations, we will modify this image.

Iteration one: we abolish any financial control by law enforcement agencies, leaving financial responsibility only within the “vertical”. - Money is not just more immediately, but it changes the quality: it is built into the metabolism, like a drug. At the same time, the feelings are ambiguous: serenity in relation to external threats, unattainable for a secular official or businessman, but because of this, a panic fear of the elders along the “vertical” – the drug addict’s fear of being expelled from his artificial paradise.

In the secular corruption "vertical" such a state is achieved on much higher floors, and in the church - already at the level of the rector of a small, but not quite provincial temple. The administrative prospects here, however, are not great. You can become a dean, you can change temples from less rich to more. A few can reach high positions in the apparatus of the patriarchy. But that's all. If you are jealous of greater gifts, you need the following modification of the image.

Iteration two: celibacy. - The ROC MP has to outwardly follow the pan-Orthodox standard of the celibacy of the episcopate. Let us imagine that civil servants, starting, say, from the federal level, are required to be celibate. Imagine again that they obey this requirement; someone still supports some women, but officially it is impossible, and colleagues for such deceptions are not respected. Question: for which young people will the career of an official be of interest? More like hetero or more like homosexual? - The answer is obvious. In the Church, too, he was always known, but within the traditional society there was always enough control over this. There were many homosexual seekers of the bishopric, but there was someone to filter them out, or at least weed them out after ordination. "Blue lobbies" smuggle their candidates in were possible, but rarely and not for long, and more often in monasteries than in the episcopate.

But in the very project of a "mass church for atheists" all these control mechanisms are not provided for, and no new ones have been invented. And it cannot be invented: because there is no reasonable reason to believe that a homosexual priest should have a worse understanding of what is pleasing to the public than an ascetic priest. So there is another question, which of the two of them in such a church is “more superfluous”. No wonder Nikolai Mitrokhin, sensitive to the needs of life, proposes to legalize the homosexuality of the clergy.

Starting from this point, I ask special attention to those who criticize Fr. Kuraev for discrimination against homosexuals.

Third iteration. Let's put ourselves in the place of a homosexual who thinks where to make a career. There are many options where no one is interested in sexual orientation. But there is one where the orientation is quite interesting. Officially, homosexuals are not allowed there. But it does not matter: there are many "ours". They will help you make a career there, and the fruits of that career are flows of money straight out of thin air and power over people. The work is not dusty, even the performance of meaningless rituals is pleasant: all the time on the podium, like a prima against the backdrop of a corps de ballet. Will you go?

To go, you need some special personality traits besides homosexuality. One must not be burdened by lies as a way of life, one must really want to live one's life for the sake of money and power, one must really love the rituals of public worship of one's own person ... The list is incomplete, but already quite specific. Now homosexuality can even be excluded from it: it is desirable, but not obligatory. It is only necessary not to forget who is the boss in the house, and to play along with homosexuals in meeting their specific needs. Then you too will be accepted as a member of the club.

We have obtained a generalized average portrait of a church leader or a contender for leadership in a mass church for a massively non-religious population. This portrait can be replaced by one psychiatric term: malignant narcissism (according to Kernberg).

Psychiatric diagnosis has great heuristic power. Here it allows us to predict and explain other features - those that have recently focused the attention of journalists:

The sadistic and exploitative behavior of the patient is “morally justified”, at least for the patient himself. … such patients … react with intense rage at attempts to question the “justification” of their cruel and exploitative behavior. These patients seem to identify not just with a sadistic killer, but with a cruel deity, with an inhuman and egocentric god.

But speaking of fathers. They are not homosexuals, and it is still not so easy with them. First, it is the money addiction described above; it is relevant for the entire middle command staff. For junior priests who do not manage anything, there is no money in a narcotic dose, but there is a prose of life: a secular profession, if it was, is forgotten far behind. The fear of losing a job - albeit not super-profitable, but stable and dust-free - is quite enough to become a neurotic factor that makes you endure humiliation from your superiors for granted and easily lie to parishioners.

Therefore, those who are now talking about the feudal slavery of priests among the bishops judge very superficially. Such feudal slavery was a disease of the state church in pre-revolutionary Russia. And in our society, only the outer shell of economic coercion remains, under which there is a psychopathological dependence of a drug addict on a sadistic leader. The most drug-addicted fathers here are the abbots. Being far from the thought of offending anyone personally and having in mind only to explain the predominant psychological type and intensity of their dependence on pathological leaders, I can cite as an analogy only the status of drug-addicted prostitutes in an illegal brothel. Therefore, the feat of pastoral service has become so difficult - especially for the flock.

And for the higher authorities, homosexuality is just a characteristic, but optional symptom. In principle, homosexuality can have a very different psychological background. Malignant narcissism is a rather rare pathology, and therefore people of the "bishop" type are rare among homosexuals. The intensity of "bishop" homosexuality depends on the degree of development of the pathology. For the narcissist, the object of libidinal aspirations is himself. As the narcissistic pathology intensifies, the attractiveness of one's own sex increases in comparison with the opposite. With a stronger pathology, homosexual pedophilia occurs, tk. the narcissistic self-image is that of a baby. An even more pronounced pathology generally suppresses sexual activity. This is the continuum where homosexuality is at the center.

That's why the "blue lobby". And from the blue lobby, sado-masochistic drive belts extend to all the clergy. All this mass of middle and junior commanders invested their mental strength in not noticing their true position.

Father Kuraev showed that if a certain class in a non-religious society claims to be a special non-worldly, then with such a class, in fact, there must be something special. Most likely, these are some kind of mutants - a system of pathological groups with narcissistic leaders and sadomasochistic control mechanisms.

Missionary fork

Missionary Fr. Kuraev continues to believe in the Church, which is capitalized, and therefore is not afraid to destroy what he so convincingly described. Let's do a thought experiment: imagine that Fr. Kuraev won, and all the representatives of the control system he described disappeared somewhere. What's next?

As a result of the “second baptism of Russia”, the people became even further from Christianity than they were under Soviet rule. He will not give a second carte blanche for an "Orthodox revival". If we continue to imitate the state church, then even the breakthrough of the early 1990s will not be repeated. But let's not limit our imagination: suppose we could bring back that popular enthusiasm. And then what? Isn't it the same thing, but with different names and, perhaps, in calmer forms, like what happened under the previous patriarchate?

Strictly speaking, the problem of creating a state church in an absolutely secular state has no solution. Loosely speaking, it can be solved by growing the "mutants" described above, but not for very long - before being exposed. But even knowing the "system" from the inside, the missionary may not understand this. He found his drug in it - the opportunity to "shepherd the nations", using the fame that he could accumulate only in the company of those same pathological leaders. The high pleasure of “shepherding the nations”, even if it is called missionary work, is still BDSM, as Erich Fromm explained to us. Therefore, liberation from a pathological group is as complex a process as quitting drugs.

This is the fork of a missionary: if you want a wide influence, then if you please, invite you to where you were seduced by this influence. And if you want to preach Orthodoxy, then do not be afraid to be in a sect. If you don't work too hard, you will end up in the same marginal Jewish sect that Jesus came to, and which will remain on earth until the end of the world.

Isaac differs from the Pussy Riot church in Moscow (such is the international name of Luzhkov's new building on the site of the Moscow pool) as the general uniform of the Russian Empire from the crimson jacket of the nineties. And here it is not necessary about money, even if everything here smells of money.

Isaac is the frontier. If Isaac turns into a nest of the Russian Orthodox Church, then... So what?

Frankly, I would not envy the ROC in this hypothetical situation: Isaac flashes a red light on the mental map of Russia - drawing attention to the ROC as the first target for popular anger. One must really believe in two non-obvious things at once in order not to be afraid of this: in the police omnipotence of the current regime and in its desire to protect the Russian Orthodox Church more than its own stomach. But everything is possible for believers who have ceased to believe in God - therefore, the most intricate superstitions are found in the ROC. And that's what we're interested in. What is this Isaac dream?

And this is: in it, the Russian Orthodox Church, created by Comrade Stalin, turns into the state church of the Russian Empire. It will be similar to Stalinist

But really, seriously. The current state of the Russian Federation does not have succession from the Russian Empire, but it wants to have it. But legally it succeeds the miserable state of the Bolsheviks. But such a succession with the empire will appear in the ROC. Crawling into St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Stalinist creature is instantly transformed into a princess. Will there be anyone like her in the state of the Russian Federation? What will all these and future descendants of “thin-necked leaders” mean in comparison with the radiance of the patriarchal belly? They will be wild animals grafted onto the thick trunk of Russian statehood, embodied in the Russian Orthodox Church alone.

But, I repeat, this whole picture is only in my dreams. It is curious only because it explains to us the seeming madness of the clerics in the struggle for Isaac.

But in reality, Isaac is a turning point, even though the ROC will capture him, though not. A similar turn in the fate of the Russian Orthodox Church occurred in August 2012, after the verdict of Pussy Riot. Then the ROC lost its reputation. Reputation is a category that is important for a small part of the population, but it is she who forms public opinion. As long as the state protects you, you don't give a damn about public opinion. After August 2012, there is no one to protect the ROC. Even the police and traffic police are sometimes protected by someone, but the ROC - no one will come.

Now the ROC will begin to lose property - exactly according to the same scheme by which it lost its reputation (this scheme is described by the theory of catastrophes: for lovers of thoughtful reading, I am in 2013). With property it will be the same as with reputation. Once the reputation of the ROC was artificially inflated. Therefore, all negative information was not accepted by society, and the authority of the Russian Orthodox Church grew pathologically. And then - kaaak shied away! In a catastrophic process there is no return to the equilibrium value, but can only be "up to the foundation", without any "then".

Now the same thing will begin with property. Public attention was fixed at some point of maximum, similar to the verdict for Pussy Riot. But now we have this attention not only of harmless people with glasses. Serious people have also pulled themselves together, and we already feel their invisible presence in the split in the camp of officials. Everyday life is full of unexpected, and often very banal situations, when a person's life hangs by a thread and only a very small amount of time is given to save it. There are two options for sudden suffocation - complete and partial. With partial suffocation, the foreign body narrows the airways, but does not completely clog them, and with complete suffocation, the airways are completely clogged. Usually, the foreign body gets stuck at the height of the vocal cords, leaving a partial entrance to the trachea near the vocal cords, or the foreign body is smaller than the limited opening for the vocal cords and falls into the trachea, partly narrowing its lumen.   • Coughing is the best way to remove a foreign body from the airways.
  • Do not knock between the shoulder blades of the victim - this can prevent him from coughing effectively.
  • Do not do the Heimlich maneuver: during this maneuver, the remainder of the air that remains exhaled is pushed out, so this residual air in the lungs may not be enough for an effective Heimlich maneuver with a complete asphyxiation.
  • If this condition persists, call an ambulance.

Complete suffocation

If the airway is completely blocked, the person will not be able to speak. Action must be taken when:

  • A person gives a sign that he is choking - he hugs his neck with his thumb and forefinger.
  • Cannot answer the question: "Can you speak?"
  • Cough weak, not effective.
  • When breathing, a whistle appears.
  • Respiratory failure is getting worse.
  • The man starts to turn blue.
  • Loses consciousness.

Actions

  • Hit the victim five times between the shoulder blades.
  • If the person's condition does not improve, use the Heimlich maneuver five times (do 5 pushes).
  • Perform these steps in turn until the foreign body that interferes with breathing is removed, or until the person loses consciousness.
  • If the victim is unconscious, start initial resuscitation: take two mouth-to-mouth breaths and press the chest 30 times. Repeat these steps. Before taking breaths, open the victim's mouth and inspect the oral cavity. If you notice a foreign body in your mouth, carefully remove it.

Even after exhaling very deeply, some air remains in the lungs, which, under the action of an external force (pressure), can be pushed out of the lungs. In this way, the effect obtained is similar to the shot of a champagne cork.

You are alone in the room

Perform the Heimlich maneuver yourself: put the fist of one hand on the place intended for this technique (on the midline of the abdomen, above the navel, immediately below the end of the sternum), then grasp your fist with the other hand and quickly press it up. Lean on a nearby stable object, such as the back of a chair, a sink, and press it with your whole body. Keep in mind that the thing you will lean on should not have a sharp end.

A pregnant woman or a fat person choked

Performing pressure on a choked, conscious person, put your hands not on your stomach, but on your chest: stand next to you, hug your chest from the back, put your palms clenched into a fist on the middle part of the sternum at the height of the nipples. Do five pushes. The further sequence of actions is standard.

What to do if a child chokes

In this paragraph, we will talk about how to behave if a small child chokes, which is still too small to explain this to parents. That is, we are more interested in how to help the baby, since the actions that we have already discussed above are suitable for an older child.

The baby's head is usually quite large and heavy, but their neck muscles are too weak to hold a stable head position during blows to the back, therefore, if the child is not properly assisted, the child can get injured due to sudden head movements. It is strictly forbidden to shake the child, holding the legs upside down. If you think that the baby is choking (he cannot tell himself) - he is conscious, but does not cry, cannot cough, has stopped breathing, provide help in this way:

  • Lay the child on his back on the forearm of your right hand, and hold his head with a brush.
  • Place the forearm of the other hand on the baby's chest and grasp the lower jaw with your fingers.
  • Turn the child and hold him on the forearm of the left hand so that the head is slightly lower. With the base of the palm of your free hand, hit hard on the back between the shoulder blades five times. The arm will be more stable if it rests on the slightly bent thigh of the leg of the same side.

If these actions did not help to remove the foreign body, holding the baby's head with the free hand, and putting the forearm to the back, put the baby turned upside down, and sharply press the sternum five times with two fingers at the height of the line connecting the papillae (pressure depth - 1, 5 cm - 2.5 cm). The arm will be more stable if it rests on the thigh of the leg.
