Eve online main storyline. Missions

Any ships in EVE Online are a multi-level constructor, thanks to which the game mechanics allow you to assemble combat or peaceful vehicles that are completely different in terms of capabilities. The possibility of equipment (fitting, from the English "fitting") of each model of the ship's hull is incorporated in its basic parameters and cannot be changed. Nevertheless, within this framework, each hull can produce up to several hundred equipped variations with unique characteristics.

Effective fit (from the English "fit") ships in EVE Online represent the cornerstone of success for the pilot flying it. It should be understood that there are no perfect fits in the game. Thanks to the game balance, it is impossible to assemble a machine that could effectively solve many game tasks at the same time. As a rule, a thoughtful "fit" of a ship in EVE Online solves only one or two game tasks.

In the meantime, sign up for an EVE Online trial and get started. The initial training and numerous consultants in the help chat will help you figure it out.

Only the general concept of the ship's fit and understanding of the features of its application will allow the pilot to emerge victorious from battles.

In industrial activities, a good fit of an industrial ship will allow you to achieve higher economic performance. In order to be elusive and generally outperform other pilots in terms of efficiency, you should carefully consider the fit of your ship in EVE Online.

There are many ways to earn money in EVE online, but the most suitable for the description of "AFK-farm" seems to me to be crabbing on ships with drones that themselves attack and kill NPCs, which allows the player to be practically afk. We will talk about these ships today.

Today (07/25/2019) CCP pleased EVE online players with an unscheduled update, which included nerfs to alpha clones and everyone's favorite ships Vexor Navy Issue*. A complete list of updates can be found.

Let me remind you that VNI was a favorite of crabs due to the good combination of low cost and relatively high DPS (~750 DPS), which was achieved with 5 heavy drones. Now, of the remaining ships, ordinary ships can become good alternatives for budget farming. Vexor* and Myrmidon*.

Vexor*

Vexor is a Gallente T1 cruiser with a cost of around 20-30 million in fit and 3 heavy drones.
Approximate DPS: ~400

Myrmidon*

Murmidon is a Gallente T1 battlecruiser with a cost of around 70-80 million in a fit and 4 heavy drones.
Approximate DPS: ~500

As you can see, the murmidon gives out slightly more DPS, which guarantees a slightly larger tick. On the other hand, the cost of murmidon is several times higher, and it’s especially strong to swing the skill Gallente battlecruisers* not everyone wants. In addition, both of these ships, unlike the following, cannot cope with some anomalies, which once again encourages the purchase of more expensive ships.

What to steal in AFC?

Well… Now that Blackout is over, more expensive ships can be considered for afk farming:

Gila*

Gila has sometimes been used instead of VNI before, but I never understood why. Without rocket launchers, it gives out about 520 DPS, which was less than the Navi Vexor, and its higher defense parameters were not compensated by the significantly higher cost (~ 200-250kk) compared to the same VNI. Now that VNI is no longer the same, she is the main ship for newcomers.
Approximate DPS: ~500

Dominix*

Once the house was already used for afk-farm, but then the vexor forced it out of the anomalies for a number of reasons: the house gave out less DPS, cost more and studied longer. Perhaps now it will become relevant again, since at the price of the same gil, it gives out more damage from heavy drones, which have already been pumped out from people who drove Vexor Navi yesterday.
Approximate DPS: ~650

Ishtar*

The leader of afk-pharma, I believe, will be Ishtar. With a price tag of 250-300 million, which is slightly higher than the previous two ships, it has a similar DPS to the old VNI. On the other hand, this ship has the longest learning curve that is mentioned in this article, and this without a doubt gives us the opportunity to see something other than ishtars on anomalies in crabs.
Approximate DPS: ~750

Also in this article, it might be worth considering Rattlesnake*, but now its cost is several times higher than everything described in this article, which, in my humble opinion, makes it unsuitable for the afk-farm that was discussed.

Completing quests is an important part of the gameplay in EVE Online. Completing missions is not only one of the main PvE aspects of the game that allows you to earn money, but also helps earn attitude certain corporations and even factions, which can greatly expand the possibilities of a pilot in the world of New Eden.

However, in addition to simple tasks, there is a separate type - Storyline missions EVE Online. Similar story missions are more rare. They are also much more profitable in comparison with the usual agency assignments.

Start playing EVE Online today to experience the new features of this MMORPG with the entire global community.

What characterizes the Storyline missions of EVE Online

Usually, completing a Storyline mission in EVE Online will result in a more generous reward. In addition, reputation with factions can only be raised through story and rarer epic or COSMOS missions. The player gets access to the story mission automatically after a successful completing 16 tasks the same difficulty level for the same faction.

Story missions allow you to better understand the basic principles of the world of EVE and learn something new. However, they can also be taken in unlimited quantities, just like regular tasks.

If you want the EVE Online storyline to really open up for you, then try to find rarer EpicArc or COSMOS missions, but be prepared for the fact that they will be much more difficult and interesting than simple tasks. Also, such tasks are characterized by very high rewards, but can be completed just once for the entire life of the character, therefore - do not ignore their text, because later you will not be able to get acquainted with their plot component, except by creating a new protégé.

The epic quest ends with a mission to neutralize a certain criminal named Dagan. It is necessary to destroy his ship, and capture him alive. Sharing my newbie experience.

Most of the storyline coming to this turn is already dissected on destroyers or cruisers, studded with long-range guns and missiles. And all this is effective until this mission. What is the difference? Dagan meets us surrounded by a weak escort, which quickly melts away. So we are left alone with him. His ship is a pretty high-quality cruiser, and it's not as easy to "fry" her as it usually happens with enemy frigates and destroyers.

The strength of the guns is not enough to suppress Dagan's shields simply because long-range weapons have rather modest damage stats. If it comes close, the low tracking speed of these guns will further aggravate the situation.

What do?

The easiest way is to find someone with good firepower. Of course, you should not expect that someone will immediately respond and help.

There is a second way - to re-equip the ship specifically for this mission. Instead of long-range hybrid turrets - railguns and heavy rockets, I put on my Moa - 5 blasters, which, although they shoot close, but have a faster tracking speed and do more damage. Counting along with the drones, the firepower has increased from about 100 to 170 hits per second. It would not seem like much, but it was enough to win. Didn't even have to reload the guns. Firstly, the vast majority of shots hit the target, and secondly, the firepower was significantly greater.

This mission shows that equipping a ship is not a one-dimensional task. And what is good for one case may not be a good choice for another.

Hi all! Due to some force majeure circumstances, there was a delay in the publication of information on Epic. Fortunately, now everything is “settled down” and I can continue.

There are no pictures for Epic yet, but I promise, if possible, to fill this gap.

So let's get started! Today I will tell about first episode epic!

Hi all! Today, as I promised, I will start posting my observations in Epic Arc ( next Epic) campaigns.

Where to begin? Probably from the beginning =)

In order to start the campaign, you need to complete at least one agent tutorial ( you can find them in the HELP -> Tutorial Agents tab). After successfully fulfilling all his/her requests ( basically there are 10 positions), the agent will recommend that you talk to a certain Sister Alitura at the station Sisters of EVE (Sisters of EVE Bureau) in system Arnon IX, Moon 3 .

If you are a beginner, get ready for the jump drive to be your best friend. There will be a lot of flying.

So you got to the sisters and contacted Sister Alitura. Straighten your shoulders, move your eyebrows and with a serious menacing grimace press the button accept / accept.

Congratulations, you have accepted your first mission in Epic.

There is no way back! =)

Tip: remember that it's highly recommended to go through all the agent tutorials before starting an epic!

Kabuum .. and there is no me, or rather, there is no my ship. As I predicted, on mission 27 of Epic Arc, I lost my ship. I lost it quickly and confidently, within 1 minute =) After that, with a sour face on my face, I flew on the "egg" through 17 systems for a new spike. Thank the Creator, I had one more destroyer, which means I'm already saving 650K, which once again confirms the need to go through the agents' tutorial, because that's where I got the destroyer for free. The insurance paid me back about 450K, which is also nice. But 4 lyama ISKs per fit disappeared forever. And it’s not so much a pity for money as it takes time to collect the fit back .. Fortunately, I have enough money for the fit, but I need to fly around about 15 systems, which is rather tedious .. But good about the bad. Today I will go to battle again! With new tactics! New fighting spirit!

One more thing, in the military tutorial of the campaign, you are being prepared for the fact that you will inapplicably lose ships .. But, the feeling when you lose the spike that the agent gave you just so that you lose it cannot be compared with the loss earned spike with all the acquired fit =) Be ready for this. Take it easy, as an invaluable experience, otherwise resentment may be the reason for the end of your adventures in EVE.

About what mistake I made and about the Epic Arc campaign, I will write later today.

Have a nice day everyone!

Well, as planned, I flew to the sisters and started the Epic Arc campaign. I had to make 17 jumps to the place of their deployment. And I just wanted to relax my “fifth point”, as the sisters, without remorse, send me again to distant systems. That is, be prepared to constantly travel. In this regard, I have excellent advice that my friends in the corporation gave me. Jump manually. The autopilot warps far from the stargates and for a long time, at cruising speed, reaches the gates themselves. Manually, however, you can warp directly to the gate and immediately jump, which, believe me, saves time. But, autopilot has its advantages. While he is flying, you can go to the toilet, make yourself some tea and spend a few minutes with your family =). But, remember that long journeys can lead through systems with a low security rating and while you are dipping crackers into tea, the remnants of your thorn are already salvaging. Therefore, act according to the circumstances. What exactly awaited me in the first missions of Epic Arc, I will tell in the next post.

Have a nice day, everyone!
