Explanatory note to the administrative control work in English

for grade 7

This quiz is for 7th grade students. Test tasks include a text for reading and tasks for it, lexical and grammatical material studied by students in the first half of the 2014-2015 academic year, as well as material from previous years of study. Run time - 45 minutes.

aim control work is an assessment of the state of education of students in grade 7 in English in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Standard.

Tasks:

    establish the level of formation of skills in working with text (search reading);

JUDGING CRITERIA

The work of students is evaluated in points, with subsequent transfer to a five-point system.

1 task. The number of points depends on the number of correct answers. The maximum number of points is 7.

2 task. The number of points depends on the number of correct answers. The maximum number of points is 10.

3 task. The number of points depends on the number of correctly inserted words in the gaps. The maximum number of points is 10.

4 task. The number of points depends on the number of logically correctly chosen words and the design of the address. 1 point for each correctly chosen word in the text of the letter + 5 points for the correct design of the address. The maximum number of points is 12.

5 task. The number of points depends on the number of correct answers. The maximum number of points is 5.

The total number of points is 44.

The tasks are checked by the teacher, the number of points for each task and the final grade for the work are set.

Explanatory note

The administrative test for the 8th grade was compiled in order to identify the quality of students' basic knowledge in the field of grammar and the ability to work with information in English: perceive information, including by ear, highlight the main facts in it and apply them to solve a communicative task, and as well as readiness to perceive more complex educational material.

To achieve this goal, the following tasks are set:

to test knowledge of the formation and use of the tense form of the verb Present Perfect Continuous, the ability to use modal verbs with the meanings of obligation, opportunity and permission.

control the ability to perceive information by ear and solve a communicative problem,

test reading and translation skills.

This administrative test was compiled on the material of the first half of the 8th grade, which included the following topics: the tense of the verb Present Perfect Continuous, modal verbs can, must, should, may and modal constructions to have to inf., to be able to inf. in the present, past and future tenses, the use of prefixes with a negative meaning, relative attributive clauses, clauses of purpose, translation of sentences on the topics “The political system of Great Britain”, “Means of communication”.

To differentiate the examinees by the levels of foreign language proficiency, which allows to identify the potential and readiness of students to learn a foreign language at an advanced level, along with level 1 tasks, level 2 tasks are included. Tasks of both levels within this examination do not exceed the requirements of level A1 + scale), which meets the requirements of the FC GOS for basic general education in a foreign language.

The level of difficulty of tasks is determined by the complexity of the language material and the skills being tested, as well as the type of task.

To complete this work, it takes 40 minutes, of which 15 minutes for translating sentences, 12 minutes for completing the grammar task, 6 minutes for task 1, 6 minutes for the lexico-grammar test, 1 minute for familiarization with the tasks.

Criteria and evaluation norm

For each correct answer in the tasks, the student receives 1 point. In task 4, each correct answer is worth 2 points. If a spelling mistake is made in a short answer, the answer is considered incorrect. For an incorrect answer or no answer, 0 points are given.

For task 1, a student can receive from 0 to 5 points, for task 2 - from 0 to 7 points, for task 3 - from 0 to 5 points, for task 4 - from 0 to 10 points.

The maximum number of points is 27.

Grades are given in accordance with the following conditions:

A grade of "5" is given if the student completed 89 to 100 percent of the assignments and scored from 24 to 27 points.

A grade of "4" is given if the student completed 59 to 88 percent of the assignments and scored from 16 to 23 points.
