As part of the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving and Ecology #TogetherBrighter, a group of 4th year students of the Faculty of Energy and Electrification of the Izhevsk State Agricultural Academy visited the training ground of Udmurtenergoneft LLC in the Votkinsky district of the Udmurt Republic.
Employees of Udmurtenergoneft LLC showed and spoke in detail about the operation of the 35/6 kV transformer substation. We, the students of the last year of the bachelor's degree, saw the device of a power transformer and its protection means, as well as a closed switchgear 6 - kV. They did not disregard the operation of the 35 kV oil circuit breaker. They explained to us in great detail the installation of power transmission poles (power lines), how birds are protected from electric shock on the poles. At the end of the informative tour, the equipment and operation of the 110/35kV substation were shown
Personally, I was interested in the automation of technical processes, namely, the control and monitoring station of the substation, which greatly facilitates the work of electricians and engineers. Automation, for example, controls and shows where the accident occurred at the substation.
The first trip to the training ground only increased the desire to become an electrical engineer both for me and for everyone who was present on the tour, as well as for working at Udmurtenergoneft LLC. We were told that the company provides social guarantees for young professionals and there is an opportunity to develop and implement scientific projects by obtaining grants.
During the way back, we exchanged impressions all the way, as we understand how interesting it is to work at transformer substations.
I would like to say a huge thank you to every employee of Udmurtenergoneft LLC accompanying us, thanks to their professionalism, the time spent at the training ground passed very quickly. Everything was interesting, exciting and informative, and most importantly, the information given to us during the tour helped to consolidate the theoretical material and better understand transformers.
P.S. The All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving and Ecology #TogetherBrighter is held with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Russian Schoolchildren Movement, the State Corporation Fund for Assistance to Housing and Utilities Reform and is open to participation in the organization of federal , regional, municipal authorities, business, public and educational organizations.
