How difficult was it for you to pass?

Now that we have a rough idea of what steps need to be taken to obtain a driver's license, let's move on to the analysis of information related directly to the training itself.

Terms of training for rights in a driving school in 2019

Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 1097 "On admission to driving vehicles"(together with the Rules for Driving Examinations and Issuing Driver's Licenses) also answers the most exciting question, how long does it take to study for a driver's license in 2019. If you want to get a driving license category "B", then the duration of training in a driving school will be 190 hours:

  • of which 130 hours is the theoretical part of the exam;
  • 56 hours are allotted for practicing practical skills;
  • 4 hours are allotted for the examination part.
Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 1097 fixed more stringent requirements for driving schools, training vehicles, areas for practicing basic driving skills, and equipping classes. Any driving school, which is engaged in the training of future drivers, is now must receive a specialized certificate from the traffic police confirming compliance with the curriculum.

It will be easier to get rights!

In accordance with the new rules, which are presented in Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 1097 "On admission to driving vehicles"(together with the "Rules for conducting examinations for the right to drive vehicles and issue driver's licenses"), new modular training programs have been drawn up.

Due to the innovations that came into force in 2016, the theoretical course will prepare you much more effectively for the exam. The creators of the updated program are counting on a decrease in the percentage of those who did not pass the theory. The developers also assure that now it will be much easier to learn the rules of the road for passing on the rights.

Theoretical part of the training program formed from compulsory disciplines:

  • legislative framework to ensure traffic safety on the roads;
  • skills practical application traffic rules;
  • psychophysical foundations of driving vehicle;
  • first aid rules injured in an accident;
  • theoretical basis for safe management vehicles;
  • car operating rules.

In driving schools that meet the standards established by the state, it is allowed for inspectors to pass exams on theoretical knowledge and practical driving.

New requirements also began to be presented to the examiners. According to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 1097, the examiner must be at least 25 years old, with a higher education and have a driving experience of at least five years. He is also automatically required to have the right to drive a vehicle of the same category for which examinations are taken in driving practice.

Licensing of driving schools and requirements for them

Before choosing a driving school for driving lessons, pay attention to whether the institution has the appropriate license.

  • have modern and equipped training ground to develop practical skills;
  • educational the site must be at least 0.24 ha(with all the necessary attributes to perform practical exercises);
  • introduce new (agreed with the traffic police) training programs;
  • have enough equipped and serviceable training vehicles(corresponding to the categories of transport);
  • the number of students cannot exceed the capacity of the school;
  • in a group to learn no more than 25 people;
  • have computers for conducting psychological tests;
  • A traffic police-approved video recorder must be integrated into each training vehicle.

The price of training for a driver's license in 2019

In 2019, the minimum tuition fee for category A license in Moscow will be 15 000 rubles. In general, at the moment there has been a steady increase in prices, which is associated with the past crisis, as well as with the changes made to the delivery procedure. According to experts, the average tuition price increased by 30%. As a result, the approximate cost of training for a driver's license category B rights since 2017 is 30 000 rubles. For category B1 this amount has increased to 35 000 rubles.

Representatives of driving schools claim that the increase in prices is due solely to an increase in the duration of theoretical and practical courses, as well as an increase in the requirements for the level of qualification of instructors, the fleet of vehicles and the quality of teaching aids.

It should be noted that the cost of education is not legally regulated by the state. The minimum and maximum limits are determined by the institution itself on an individual basis. Therefore, no matter how much you study for law, the prices for the service can deviate in any direction from the average.

Categories of rights

The future driver should also familiarize himself with the ones that have been in force since August 2014, on the basis of the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated December 26, 2013 N 1408 “On Approval of Exemplary Vocational Training Programs for Drivers of Vehicles of the Relevant Categories and Subcategories”:

Conclusion

The terms of study in 2019 for obtaining rights are presented in Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 1097 “On admission to drive vehicles” (together with the “Rules for conducting exams for the right to drive vehicles and issue driver's licenses”).
Unfortunately, the cost of education is not regulated at the state level. Any institution has the right to set the price that it considers optimal.

It should be noted that according to the new programs (they came into effect only in August 2014), a student of a driving school has the opportunity to choose the type of transmission of the car on which he will take a practical driving course in a driving school and take an exam.

Driving hour 60 or 45 minutes? Does it include delivery from the driving school to the circuit?

As you have noticed, the duration of driving for an automatic transmission is only 2 hours less and this does not affect the cost of training. But after graduating from a driving school, in this case a certificate with a special mark “AT” is issued, which prohibits the driver from driving vehicles with a mechanical type of transmission. The choice is yours.

Since the beginning of 2014, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation “recommended” schools that train drivers to increase the number of hours of practical driving training from thirty to fifty. Now, in the example programs, respectively, the number of astronomical hours, equal to fifty, is indicated. And in the requirements for organizing the training of future drivers for schools, it is written that they must complete training according to exemplary programs. Driving schools can change at will only the number of hours of both driving and theory, they have the right to do this only upwards. But, nevertheless, there are schools that say that fifty hours are required for those students who have never been behind the wheel.

How long is the driving hour?

And, some of the driving schools provide an opportunity for students who have already acquired certain skills to choose special budget programs with a reduced number of hours in them. And before a driving school sends its student to pass exams at the traffic police, it must conduct its own, that is, internal, certification. And, depending on the results, he will either be allowed to take an examination at the traffic police, or they will still be left at school for additional training. In general, the number of hours will generally depend on the ability of the person being trained.

Learning the rules of the road for vehicle owners is only half the way before driving a personal car on your own. The main task is to get practical driving skills in a driving school.

But experienced instructors try not to violate the current legislation and to convey to the course participants the experience of driving and responding to non-standard, sometimes very dangerous situations that often occur on the roads. The educational process in a driving school takes place strictly in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "On the approval of exemplary programs for the vocational training of drivers of vehicles of the relevant categories and subcategories" dated December 26, 2013 No. 1408. 2. Those who train for the most common category "B", according to the program approved by the Ministry, must ride a training car with an instructor for 56 hours in cases of a manual transmission or 54 hours for an automatic transmission.
  3. Persons who are going to become truck drivers (category "C") must complete a practical driving course of 60 hours. The program provides 72 hours for manual and 70 for automatic transmission.
  4. Mastering the category "D" is provided in accordance with the type of gearbox 100 or 98 hours.
  5. For category "BE" 16 hours of driving practice are required.
  6. Category "CE" involves "rollback" 24 hours before passing the qualifying exam.
  7. In order to gain driving skills with a trailer and the rights of category “DE”, a student of a driving school takes a practical course of 32 hours.

The term of training in a driving school, taking into account new driver training programs

Usually, when we talk about learning to drive a vehicle, we mean young people behind the wheel who successfully master the science of driving in our driving school at the Water Stadium. However, recently, due to the growing prosperity of the population in the Russian Federation, a fairly large number of elderly candidates over the age of 50 wish to obtain a driver's license. There are a few things that need to be clarified for a person of this age who wants to gain independence of movement and, finally, be free from grueling journeys in public transport. Undoubtedly, absolutely all representatives of the “golden age” believe that it is too late for them to study at a driving school and public opinion plays a huge role in this. There is an assumption that at the moment when a young man turns 18, he already has his driver's license in his hands, and behind his back he has completed a training course in one of the driving schools in Moscow SAO.

How many hours of driving should be in a driving school by law in 2018

While this approach does fit most people, there is a percentage who put off learning until a later time. The reasons may be different, but many of them are related to the time constraints that life dictates to us. Often, studying at a college or higher education institution, working, having children and a well-developed public transport network do not cause a feeling of urgent need to study and get behind the wheel. Some of us may have started driving courses but put it off until later in life due to bad experiences and negative feelings.

Then, a lot of time and age passes after 40 - 50 years and people begin to realize that they need a driver's license.

In our driving school at the River Station, the first communication with such driver candidates occurs through a series of absolutely the same type of questions on the phone:

  1. I am 40/50 years old, how many driving lessons do I need to take?
  2. Am I too old to learn how to drive?
  3. Am I starting too late, is there any point in learning to ride?

Despite the initial fear and insecure life position in this matter, many “age” drivers are capable of learning and, in the end, after good preparation and lessons with a professional instructor, they begin to drive very dignified and competently.

Benefits for older students

  1. Confidence - for most of us, one feature is characteristic - the older we get, the more our sense of confidence manifests itself. This allows mature students to relax and gradually, step by step, master the science of driving a vehicle.
  2. Due to the fact that mature students have spent quite a long period of time as public transport passengers, they have a good level of road safety sense and a developed ability to recognize potential risk factors, which makes it possible to prevent accidents in time.

Negative aspects of an older driver

This does not characterize every age student at all, but may affect some of them due to their older age.

  1. While driving, traffic situations develop very quickly, and the older we get, the slower we react to all sorts of dangers.
  2. Cognitive skills are acquired much more slowly and require more practice repetitions.
  3. Examination tests in the traffic police include a part of the exam on a computer, which causes a number of difficulties for the elderly due to their lack of knowledge in this area.

How many practice sessions should an older student take?

Each person, regardless of his age, of course, is different from others and requires a certain number of driving lessons, corresponding to his temperament, reaction speed, learning ability, observation and other factors. The specialists of our driving school on Voykovskaya keep special statistics on mastering practical driving skills depending on age:

  • 17 year old will need about 30 hours
  • A 30 year old should practice for about 40 hours
  • A 40 year old needs at least 50 hours

You can probably see a certain pattern: for every 10 years of life, you need to add 10 hours of study.

Driving test age statistics

A young person at the age of 17 is likely to learn and absorb material much faster than mature people. Thus, young men under the age of 25 have the highest percentage of successful passing exams for the right to drive a vehicle on the first try.

It's never too late to learn to drive

The table shows that the older we get, the lower the likelihood of passing a driving test. This will continue until we reach the age of sixty, when the percentage of change starts to rise again. The decrease in the level of positive marks on the exam is partly due to the fact that the reaction time becomes a little slower. This is most likely due to the fact that as we age, we more carefully evaluate our actions and the impact they have on others. For example, an older driver is never in a hurry to quickly leave an intersection, and this may seem too indecisive for the examiner.

To be completely honest, the advice for 40+ students doesn't change too much compared to youth, but some of them are worth considering:

  1. Driving instructor. Feel free to be picky about choosing a driving instructor. It is important that you find a teacher that you feel comfortable sitting next to and clearly understand his teaching methods, as well as find sufficient motivation to continue studying. A good instructor is able to make your driving lessons exciting and fun, and in this case, a positive emotional background and maximum return will undoubtedly bring results.
  2. Regular practice session. Infrequent and spontaneous lessons reduce your chance of success, and you will spend more time at the beginning of each lesson, reviewing and remembering the material covered. If possible, try to have at least two meetings per week, each about 1.5 hours long.
  3. An experience. The more experience, the better! If possible, get additional driving experience from family members or friends. But use it only as an addition, and leave the learning process to the teacher.
  4. Manual or automatic gear box? For the purpose of safer and more comfortable driving, drivers 50+ should give preference to automatic transmission. For many students, this significantly reduces the learning curve and allows them to concentrate on the road and the surroundings, rather than thinking about shifting gears.

How many hours of driving must a driving school legally have?

There is no learning process in a driving school without practical driving lessons. But each driving school creates its own training programs, and the cost of training in a driving school will directly depend on the number of driving hours issued at the school. Driving theory for all programs will be the same. Why does the number of driving hours depend, why does this number differ in different driving schools, and how many of these hours should be issued at a school according to the law?

If during the training process or after obtaining the rights you need a transport trace examination, click on the link. Professional approach, reasonable prices and high quality are waiting for you on the proposed site.

But, nevertheless, there are schools that say that fifty hours are required for those students who have never been behind the wheel. And, some of the driving schools provide an opportunity for students who have already acquired certain skills to choose special budget programs with a reduced number of hours in them.

How many hours of driving must a driving school legally have?

And before a driving school sends its student to pass exams at the traffic police, it must conduct its own, that is, internal, certification. And, depending on the results, he will either be allowed to take an examination at the traffic police, or they will still be left at school for additional training. In general, the number of hours will generally depend on the ability of the person being trained.

Most often, the program includes 50 hours of driving, and these hours are issued for twenty-five lessons. Let us analyze in more detail how it is calculated how many hours of driving will be in a driving school.

Since the cost of training depends on the number of hours, carefully look also at what hours the driving school offers you. Hours are academic, forty-five minutes, and astronomical, for sixty minutes. When you enter into an agreement with a driving school, do not forget to ensure that it indicates both the number of hours and the number of minutes in these hours.

As a rule, the fifty hours of driving provided to you include both the internal driving test at the school and the exam at the traffic police, and the exams take about four hours. Ask for detailed explanations of these points too.

In the methodological developments in which the driving programs are written, it is indicated that the very first three lessons, and this is usually six hours, are held either on simulators or on training cars.

Let's calculate: from twenty-five lessons we subtract 2 lessons for exams and three lessons on simulators and get the remainder of twenty lessons.

It also happens that the driving school staff themselves will provoke a reduction in the number of full-fledged lessons, for example, by telling you that you are not yet doing the exercises well enough on the site, and that you should not go to the city yet. This is dangerous, and if you have not received the necessary minimum skills, then you should not drive around the city on your own.

The number of hours, how, in what form these hours will be given to you, should be written on special cards, in which students sign each time after class.

The length of time you study at a driving school depends on various factors, for example, which category of driving you are studying, how you organize your schedule, and so on.

Driving lessons in category B

So, for example, the theoretical training course for category B drivers is 130 hours. It is during this period of time that the entire theoretical material of the course is studied. The time frame for which the training will stretch depends on the form of classes that you prefer.

The number of lessons per week can be different: these are 2 lessons, and 3, and 4, and even 5. Each lesson, on average, lasts about 3 hours. Thus, in order to master the theory of driving, you will need from 2 to 5 months, depending on the density of the training schedule.

As soon as the theoretical part is mastered, you can start hours of practical training.;

Each future driver must “roll back on the site” for about 24 hours. Then you need to master the city routes, which will take another 32 hours.

By this time, it is worth adding hours for passing exams, both internal and in the traffic police.

Driving instruction in other categories;

As for passing on the rights in other categories, future drivers of mopeds and scooters will have to learn the least. The whole process; training category M will be 122 hours, which includes; 100 hours of theory, 18 hours of practice and 4 hours for exams.

The process of learning to drive in category "A" or "A1" will take 130 hours, of which 108 hours are theoretical lectures, 18 hours are practical classes and 4 hours are allotted for the exam. The term of training for obtaining the rights of category "C" or "C1" takes the same time as learning to drive a car. Those who want to master driving skills in category “D” will have to study the longest - 257 hours.

Surrender by external

In fact, it is impossible to reduce the number of hours for teaching theory and practice by law: each enrolled student is enrolled in a group, after which the group's educational journal is registered with the traffic police. Traffic police officers keep a strict record of all students, which excludes the possibility of enrolling in a group “backdated”. If the learning process of any student is less than 2 months according to the group journal, then his documents are recognized as illegal.

In 2016, the system of training future drivers has undergone significant changes. And it continues to change to this day. This also affected the duration of training. How long does it take to study at a driving school in 2019 to become a full-fledged category B driver?

What did the reform affect and how did it affect the timing

The reform carried out was aimed at improving the quality of driver training and thereby affecting the adverse situation on the road. Indeed, according to statistics, the lion's share of accidents occurs through the fault of those whose driving experience is less than three years.

First of all, the requirements for driving schools themselves have been tightened. Thus, “gray” educational institutions that operate without appropriate licenses disappeared from the market. The quality of education in most of them - as you might guess - left much to be desired. Now only licensed institutions that have their own program approved by the Ministry of Education and the traffic police have the right to conduct educational activities. Professionals with the appropriate permissions can teach.

Secondly, the changes affected the terms of training. The number of hours has increased - now there are 190 of them against 156 before. According to the legislature, an increase in the time spent at the desk and behind the wheel in the company of an instructor will increase the result - namely, the quality of education.

Attention! Despite the fact that many argue that the legislation defines specific terms of study in months, this is not the case. Only the minimum number of hours remains unchanged, and even stretching them for six months or putting them into three months depends on the specific program.

What is the number of hours

Let's figure out in more detail how many hours of driving should be in a driving school and how many lectures you need to listen to.

The number of hours - 190 - consists of the following parts:

    • theoretical classes - 130 hours;
    • practical driving - 56 hours;
    • exam - 4 hours.

The practical part includes classes on the circuit and practicing exercises, as well as driving around the city with an instructor. Theoretical classes include:

    • Traffic Laws;
    • specialized law;
    • the basics of behavior on the road of a traffic participant;
    • the basics of first aid (unlike the other sections, the number of this, on the contrary, has decreased - 16 hours instead of 24);
    • theory of safe driving;
    • rules for the operation of the vehicle;
    • basics of the correct transportation of goods and passengers.

The exam consists of a theoretical and practical part. The practice includes riding in the city and practicing exercises. There used to be three, now there are four. Added the correct disembarkation of the passenger.

How many months to study law?

However, there are some obligatory hours - it's all so vague. I would like to know a specific figure: how many months do you need to study for law? It depends on the program. Ours conducts a full course of training from recording to obtaining rights in 3 months. By the way, the same driving school almost always provides a choice of different options: with training on weekdays or only on weekends, in the morning and in the evening. This is done so that every person, even the busiest, can choose the most optimal schedule for himself. Accordingly, the number of hours per week also differs.

One theoretical lesson lasts an average of three hours. The busiest schedule that can be handled, perhaps, by relatively free students, is daily classes on weekdays. Total - five classes or 15 hours a week. The weekend schedule provides two classes per week, or six hours.

Thus, an intensive schedule with daily classes will allow you to master the theoretical part in a little more than two months. But on weekends, you will have to go to classes for more than five months. On average, the standard schedule involves three classes per week. At this intensity, the study will last approximately three and a half months.

And this is just a theory. However, since the practice goes along with the theory (and not after it) and takes about a month at the autodrome and the same in the city, this will practically not affect the total duration of training in months.

However, it is worth considering that someone may need additional hours of driving or practicing exercises, which will affect the increase in terms. Another point is the exam. First internal, then in the traffic police. And, unfortunately, not everyone manages to pass them the first time. In addition, even if the exam at school was passed immediately, it is not a fact that you can go to the traffic police the next day. Most likely, the interval will also take time.

So it turns out that the minimum period of study for category B is three and a half to four months. Often - longer, but to meet a shorter period, you need to try hard.

Also you can learn in Moscow for driving cars.

Is it possible to reduce the training period, and if so, how?

Not everyone, especially a working person, has the time and desire to spend so many weeks getting a driver's license. Therefore, many are interested in the question: is it possible to somehow reduce this period? It should be said right away that the number of mandatory hours cannot be reduced. This is the minimum that needs to be worked out.

The exception is experienced drivers with rights of another category. Now they do not have to sit at their desk again and go through the entire basic course. Obtaining the rights of another category belongs to the driver retraining program and takes much less time. For example, to retrain from category B to C, it will take about 2 months; from B to D - about 3 months; from C to B - less than 1 month; from D to B - about 1.5 months.

But in order for the owner of the rights to four-wheeled vehicles to become the owner of categories A, A1 and M (motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, etc.), you will have to complete the full course and vice versa.

So getting additional categories by experienced drivers is now faster and therefore cheaper. The innovation also affected cars with automatic transmission and mechanics. The license now indicates which of the two checkpoints the driver was trained for. And if it's automatic, he can't drive a manual car. But on the contrary - it is possible. If the driver wants to switch from automatic to manual, he will have to take a small additional course, which will take about two weeks.

As for beginners, there is no way for them to bypass the required 190 hours. However, driving schools are trying to make life easier for their cadets. So, for example, many of them help to create an individual training schedule that will be as convenient as possible. In addition, the innovation of modern driving schools is distance learning. It allows you to take a theoretical course remotely, using an online classroom via the Internet. Studying at home, you can, if not reduce the number of hours, then at least not waste time on the road to the classroom and make learning as comfortable as possible.
