Completely about bitterness (do not read the cores). Eastern suburbs refuses left turns

The federal highway M7 "Volga" is almost the only road leading to the east. There is also the M5 Ural highway, which connects to the M7 in Ufa, but the entire traffic between Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Izhevsk falls on the old Vladimirka. It is constantly being reconstructed, asphalt is being changed, bridges are being repaired, which further exacerbates the “impassability” of the route.

M7. A bit of history

Within Moscow, “Vladimirka” is called the “Enthusiasts Highway”, coined by the Bolshevik People's Commissar of Education Lunacharsky. Prior to the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, along “Vladimirka”, there were stages of those sentenced to hard labor and exile to Siberia, among whom were “revolutionaries”. In memory of them, Lunacharsky proposed to rename the Siberian tract.
The Enthusiasts Highway is undergoing permanent reconstruction. The most difficult place is the intersections with Budyonny Avenue and Electrodnaya Street. In the early morning of May 1, no problems were felt, but you can imagine what happens here on a weekday evening.

Balashikha - Noginsk. Traffic jams on M7

We leave Moscow and find ourselves in the zone of “constant traffic jams”. The name "Balashikha" has long become a common swear word in the mouths of drivers who are forced to go east. Even before entering Balashikha, the first problem awaits us - this is a left turn at the Dzerzhinsky division. A new bridge is being built here across the Gorenka River near the Mazurinskiye Ponds. In Balashikha, with its numerous traffic lights, a permanent reconstruction is underway. Overpasses are being erected at the Saltykovsky crossroads and the turn to Zhelezka Zheleznodorozhny. Life-affirming pictures with a free road were made in the early morning of May 1. Further, no difficulties were noticed up to the border of the Moscow and Vladimir regions.
On the way back on May 8, we stood to our heart's content from Noginsk to Balashikha. The problems began on the Noginsk bypass and continued with a permanent traffic jam in Staraya and Novaya Kupavna, Obukhovo and further almost to Moscow itself.

M7 in the Vladimir region

The bridge over the Kirzhach River is being repaired here. The carriageway has been narrowed to one lane in each direction. Large-scale traffic jams are possible, moreover, on weekdays due to trucks, and on weekends due to mass migrations of summer residents. The next “ambush” awaits the traveler behind the Pokrov. This is another repair of the bridge across the river Topka in the village with the euphonious name Omutishchi. From the point of view of traffic jams, the place is unpredictable. Usually the traffic in Omutishchi is weak, but on a traffic jam on May 8, I took a detour. In general, the condition of the road surface is good, even in places of repairs. Where there are none, it is simply pleasant to drive along the M7. However, you should not relax. The next repair is waiting for you between Boldino and Lakinsk. For a kilometer and a half, both lanes from Moscow are blocked. Capital work is underway here to replace not only the asphalt, but also the sand and gravel pad, because no one has touched this site since at least the 80s of the last century.

Lakinsk. Traffic jams on M7

As soon as we were glad, our valiant road builders dug up the road again and dismantled another bridge across the Undolka River. The photos were taken on the third day of the May weekend. You can imagine what happens here on weekdays.
The following picture shows a traffic jam from the side of Vladimir on May 8, 2017. It started before reaching Demidovo. Having stuck in a traffic jam for about 20 minutes, I crawled to the U-turn and left for Stavrovo. During this time, it lengthened by a good kilometer.

“Beijing”

Further, the road is kept in perfect order, including the Vladimir bypass. We went to the southern detour, and not to the northern "Beijing" with heavy traffic and traffic lights. The popular name "Beijing" appeared shortly after the war, when "Stalin and Mao listened to us ..." The "Leader" ordered the construction of a road from Moscow to Beijing.
Actually, most of the route existed long before it, because the construction of the Trans-Siberian highway began back in ... 1905 and managed to reach Chita. Then the October revolution happened, as a result of which there was simply no road to Vladivostok until the beginning of the 21st century. “Beijing” is a bypass road around Noginsk, Vladimir and Vyazniki. It is a pity that they did not manage to build around Balashikha - Mao quarreled with Khrushchev and friendship with China went apart.

This is not a “Beijing”, but the southern bypass of Vladimir. The two-lane section stretches from the fork with the old Vladimir to the interchange to the village of Raduzhny

On the way back, at the exit from the bypass, a sluggish traffic jam gathered. Most likely it was caused by the sign (30) and the poor condition of the asphalt on the overpass. After the bridge over the Klyazma, a real autobahn begins. Unfortunately, the speed limit here is normal, so I do not advise you to fly low. The condition of the road surface is good, in some places it is excellent. But after the Vladimir bypass highway M7 passes through the villages. Observe the speed limit. Another repair on the M7 is located in the area of the Tara River. On the section 266-268 km, the asphalt is being changed on both sides of the highway. There are no traffic jams. In the Vyazniki area, cracks and pits appear on the asphalt, but they are not dangerous. Nevertheless, a global repair has been started at the Vyaznikov bypass. For 9 km, traffic is carried out in one line. The lanes towards Nizhny Novgorod are blocked. In the repair zone, for the first time, we came across a very unpleasant sign. There were no difficulties on this section on May 1 or 8. The road infrastructure is quite developed. However, the farther from Moscow, the fewer branded gas stations. In the Vladimir region, “horns and hooves” are most often encountered, but it is difficult to dry out: every 30-40 km there will definitely be Lukoil or Tatneft. In the photo, there is a Lukoil gas station near Gorokhovets. There are cafes and other eateries in almost every village, motels are also found. The entrance to the Nizhny Novgorod region is marked by a chapel. An excellent four-lane highway goes all the way to Nizhny Novgorod without narrowing or repairs.

Speed control on M7

It is on this stretch of the M7 that tripods are found in abundance. Most often they are placed outside settlements. Away from the road, behind the bushes, there is a civilian car with a watchman who monitors the safety of the expensive device.

Here, both the tripod and the car are in the frame. Tripod separately

Machine separately

After turning to Dzerzhinsk, we carefully follow the signs. We need an exit to the Nizhny Novgorod bypass at the sign “Saransk. Kazan”. In the village of Lesnaya Polyana, turn right and go to the bypass. I will tell about the section of the path from Nizhny Novgorod to Cheboksary in the next part -.

Around the town of Pokrov, Petushinsky district, Vladimir region, through which the federal highway M7 passes, a ring bypass road will be built. On July 11, this was stated at least twice by the governor of the Vladimir region, Svetlana Orlova, while on a working trip to the Petushinsky district.

"I SORRY YOU ALL"

Governor Orlova first touched upon the topic of overhaul of the M7 highway at a meeting with local entrepreneurs at the site of the Ellara drug manufacturing plant.

Photo by the press service of the administration of the Vladimir region

Currently, on the federal highway in the Petushinsky district, repair work is being carried out on bridges across the Tanka (in Omutishchi) and Kirzhach () rivers.

Svetlana Orlova told the entrepreneurs that the repair of the M7 was being completed, apologized to the residents of the Petushinsky district for the inconvenience, but made it clear that they should be patient, because after the repair the federal highway would be "will be illuminated and practical accident-free".

As for Pokrov specifically, a ring bypass road will be built around this city. The governor said that this issue with the locals “we talked, consulted, discussed several times”.

Svetlana Orlova, Governor of the Vladimir Region:

I apologize to all of you [for the inconvenience], because you are the most likely to encounter it here, but it will be a good route - [in Lakinsk they will organize] 11 [aerial and underground pedestrian] crossings, it will be illuminated, practically accident-free

In Pokrov, we will make a ring road, a ring road, [my first deputy Alexei] Konyshev will talk about it

We, it seems, talked everything with the residents, consulted, discussed several times

And today I [at the Pokrovsky city market] met with ordinary citizens - of course, there were questions, but they were not tough, angry, they were so normal, working

People note that there are changes, and that the roads have been made, and the lighting has been done, but we need to strengthen where the youth can practice, sports facilities, so we will deal with this.

Several public activists and deputies of the City Council, on condition of anonymity, told Zebra TV that the residents of Pokrov do not know what is really happening either around the repair of the M7 federal highway in the city, or on the construction of a ring bypass road, since the authorities have nothing to do with the townspeople not normally discussed.

"THIS IS A ROAD OF DEATH IN GENERAL"

The second time Svetlana Orlova touched upon the topic of the M7 highway at a meeting with workers in health, education, culture and social institutions of the Petushinsky district, which took place in Petushki, at school No. 1.

The governor again announced the completion of repairs on the federal highway in November 2017, and admitted that the M7 highway "got everyone":

“I even asked to hang a poster: “We apologize [for the inconvenience]” - we have kind people, they will read the poster and swear less. But they didn’t take money from us [repair of M-7] - 8 billion, we are completing it with you.”

Orlova painted the following picture for the residents of the Petushinsky district: the route will be safe and accident-free. And she again announced that a ring road would be built around Pokrov:

“You will have a bypass in Pokrov. Well, this is a difficult topic, and, of course, about transitions, remember how many people died. It was generally the route of death.

The Governor of the Vladimir Region promised that on July 12, her first deputy for industry and economic policy, Alexei Konyshev ( he oversees road construction) will come to Pokrov to hold a series of meetings on repair issues on the M7 federal highway.

Svetlana Orlova, Governor of the Vladimir Region:

He [Vladimir Putin, when he was last year in Kovrov and Dobrograd during the forum "Russia is a sports power"] liked our roads

I told him that we had made one and a half thousand kilometers of roads in the region. Fifteen thousand!

We gave 22 billion from the budget to roads [over the past four years]. As you remember, there were simply no roads [before this].

In November we complete M-7. I understand that she got you...

Laugh

She got everyone. I even asked to hang a poster: “We apologize [for the inconvenience]” - we have kind people, they will read the poster and swear less

But the money [repair of M-7] was not taken from us - 8 billion, we are completing it with you

Now there are [only a plot within the village] Kirzhach [Petushinsky district] and [a plot within the city] Lakinsk [Sobinsky district]

The track in Lakinsk - you know, you're driving, [inaudible], the track is no worse, and even better, I personally take pride. There will be 11 transitions, it's safe. These crossings move - for example, there will be more pedestrians there, it can be moved a little

We are constantly in touch with the [management of the federal highway] M-7

[My first deputy Alexei] Konyshev will be with you tomorrow in Pokrov [to hold a meeting with residents on M-7 issues]

You will have a bypass in Pokrov. Well, this is a difficult topic, and, of course, about transitions, remember how many people died. It was generally the route of death

Everything, we complete it with you

If they also complete Balashikha, and 2 [hours]-2 [hours] 15 [minutes], and we are here with you

Interlocutors of Zebra TV from Pokrov reported that, according to their information, the leaders of the city and the Petushinsky district this morning went to the vice-governor Alexei Konyshev in Vladimir. They are not sure if the first vice-governor will come to Pokrov today, but they know for sure that so far there have been no announcements of Konyshev's meetings with local residents.

The editors of the Portal of the Roads of Russia

Today, the M-7 Volga highway is one of the main highways in Russia, connecting Moscow and the central regions of the country with the cities of the Volga region: Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Ufa, and through other roads with the industrial centers of the Urals and Western Siberia. At the same time, it is the M-7 highway with a length of 1351 km that is considered the main highway connecting the European part of Russia with Siberia and the Far East over the shortest distance. The track is constantly being improved, performing all kinds of overhauls and reconstructions. The DorInfo portal recalls the most significant events that occurred with the Volga highway in 2017.

Section from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod

Repair and overhaul

In 2017, over 88,000 km of pavement was repaired on the M-7 Volga highway in the section from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod. On the Moscow region 5.6 km fell on the section from km 50 to km 57; in the Vladimir region, repairs were carried out on a 4-kilometer section from km 266 to km 271. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, 5 sections were repaired at once: from km 397 to km 412 (near the village of Lesnaya Polyana, the village of Stroiteley and the village of Lesnye Dvoriki), from km 442 to km 455, from km 465- th km to the 490th km, from the 544th km to the 560th km, and also from the 564th km to the 574th km.

More than 18 km of the road were subject to major repairs in 2017. Within the boundaries of the Moscow region - one section from the 90th km to the 94th km. In Vladimir region four sections with a total length of about 14 km were overhauled. These are sections: from km 144 to km 146, from km 150 to km 152 in the Lakinsk region, from km 167 to km 168 in the area of the turn to Koloksha station and from km 300 along the 309th km in the area of the city of Vyazniki and the village of Ilevniki.

Repair work, including capital repairs, was also carried out on 6 bridges and on one overpass. On the Vladimir sections of the M-7 Volga highway in 2017, 3 bridges were overhauled: across the Kirzhach river at km 94 (right), Topka at km 111 and across the Klyazma river at km 2 of the highway at the entrance to Vladimir. In the Ivanovo region, a bridge over the Ukhtokhma River was overhauled at the 103rd km of the access road to the city of Ivanovo.

As part of the overhaul, the bridge and roadbed, expansion joints, supports, superstructures, metal barrier and railings were replaced on all bridges, the slopes of the cones were restored and strengthened. In the Nizhny Novgorod region the overpass at the 409th km, as well as the bridge over the Shava River at the 452nd km were repaired.

Key objects

“The most significant and large-scale projects of recent years, implemented on the M-7 Volga highway in the Central and Volga regions, can rightly be called construction of flyovers at the entrance to Moscow city of Balashikha, Moscow region and overhaul in the city of Lakinsk, Vladimir Region. In 2017, they were completed, ”the FKU Uprdor Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod notes.

So, in Balashikha, construction work on the 18th, 21st and 23rd km of the M-7 highway, which began in 2014, was completed. Three overpasses, three lanes wide in each direction, have risen above the intersections, leaving local traffic below them. The implementation of the project ensured the continuous movement of transit vehicles along the main course on the route section. This unleashed a transport hub on the federal highway at the entrance to Moscow and increased the throughput and safety of the route: now transit flows can freely pass along the flyover part of the route, while urban transport goes to local roads along specially constructed two-lane side roads. These measures helped eliminate the possibility of traffic jams within Balashikha. Three overpasses, side driveways were built, barrier and pedestrian fencing, noise screens were installed, a drainage system and local treatment facilities were installed, and electric lighting lines were replaced. The width of the carriageway has increased from 6 to 8-10 lanes.

Major overhaul of the track on the section from km 145 to km 156 started in 2015. Over the three years of implementation, to ensure unhindered passage on the site, 4 reversal loops and transitional speed lanes were arranged, new electric lighting lines with a total length of more than 16 km, a drainage system, a barrier fence, noise screens, new bus pavilions and signs were installed. In addition, the road builders built five elevated and two underground pedestrian crossings, as well as eliminated traffic lights.

Also in 2017, the construction of a transport interchange began. on the 27th km of M-7 "Volga" on the outskirts of Balashikha. The project here provides for the expansion of the roadway to six lanes in the section from km 26 to km 30, the construction of two-level reversal loops at km 26 and 30 to organize U-turns and left-turn exits. In addition, it is planned to eliminate three traffic lights, erect four stationary elevated pedestrian crossings and install noise screens. The site will be equipped with an automatic traffic control system. The entire complex of works is planned to be completed by the end of 2019.

In the Vladimir region, a large-scale overhaul section from km 94 to km 118, which passes through the village of Kirzhach, the town of Pokrov, the villages of Novye Omutishchi and Annino. The project will be implemented in 7 stages until 2020. In 2017, work began on sections from km 104 to km 108 and from km 94 to km 99. Approaches to the bridge across the river were arranged. Kirzhach, a modular elevated pedestrian crossing was erected, and the pavement was replaced on the section from km 97 to km 99.

Nizhny Novgorod - Kazan

Repair, overhaul, reconstruction

By territory Chuvash Republic runs almost 195 km of the M-7 Volga highway. Over the past year, 23 km of the road surface has been updated here. In particular, as noted in the FKU Uprdor "Prikamye", a 7-kilometer section from 643 km to 650 km in the area of \u200b\u200bthe settlements of Yaushi, Bolshiye Karachura, Lapsary was repaired. The pavement here was strengthened in places where rutting was formed, a new pavement was laid, and culverts were repaired. An overpass 130 meters long was repaired at km 732. It should be noted that in 2017, the section of the M-7 Volga highway in Chuvashia was administered by the FKU Uprdor Prikamie, but now it has been transferred to the management of the FKU Volgo-Vyatskupravtodor.

In the territory Republic of Tatarstan In 2017, Volgo-Vyatskupravtodor FKU completed the reconstruction of two sections of the M-7 highway with a total length of about 30 km: from km 888 to km 901 and from km 941 to km 957. As part of the reconstruction of sections passing through densely populated areas of the republic, the road builders expanded the carriageway of the route from 2 to 4 lanes. A roadbed was erected on both sections for the construction of two new traffic lanes. Then, the worn-out pavement of the existing road was dismantled, and after repairing the subgrade, a new, more durable and heavy-duty pavement was installed.

On the section from km 947 to km 955, due to the non-compliance of the existing route with the requirements of building codes, it was decided to straighten the road by building a new section 7.8 km long. Thanks to this measure, it was possible to eliminate the area with limited visibility and increase the maximum speed limit from 50 to 90 km/h.

In addition, as part of the reconstruction, two two-level interchanges equipped with electric lighting were built to enable uninterrupted access to nearby settlements with the construction of overpasses (Lower and Upper Yaki, Middle Kirmeni, Russian Kirmeni and Urazbakhtino). Rest areas for drivers and passengers of transit transport have been reconstructed at km 945. Deceleration and acceleration lanes were made at the entrance and exit, and an underground pedestrian crossing was built near the recreation area at km 944.

Work on the reconstruction of the section from km 888 to km 901 started in February 2015 and was completed according to schedule in October 2017. The cost of the construction object amounted to 2983.6 million rubles. The reconstruction of the section from km 947 to km 955 began in April 2012. The cost of the construction object amounted to 6622.06 million rubles. With the commissioning of these facilities, the length of sections of the M-7 Volga highway of the 1st technical category with four traffic lanes within the borders of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 255 km.

Also last year, on the 785th km of the M-7 highway, a transport interchange was repaired at different levels. In the works, the method of designing asphalt concrete mixtures was used, this technology makes it possible to obtain a more rigid framework of asphalt concrete and eliminate the formation of rutting. The overpass in the Yelabuga region at the 1028th km was overhauled. Repair work was also carried out on five sections of the highway with a total length of more than 37 km, of which 4.2 km were overhauled, another 32.8 km were overhauled.

Key objects

In 2017 was the biggest bridge across the Volga at the 777th km highway M-7 "Volga" within the borders of the Republic of Tatarstan - its length is more than 1000 meters. The specialists repaired the bridge's control structures and coastal supports, replaced the expansion joints with multi-profile ones, and also arranged a new coating using vibration-resistant ASPHALIT granite-cast composition. The use of this type of asphalt concrete will increase the turnaround time of the coating and reduce the cost of maintaining the bridge. Repair work on the bridge started in April 2016, and they were completed a month ahead of schedule - in September 2017.

Kazan - Ufa

In Elabuga (Tatarstan), the M-7 highway has a branch to Izhevsk (Udmurt Republic) and Perm (Perm Territory). For this access road to Perm FKU Uprdor "Prikamye" answers. The total length of the route section in the Perm Territory is 134.5 km. Of these, last year the federal road builders brought 55 km to the standard, almost 5 km of which (from km 382 to km 387) in the Ochersky district were overhauled.

Uprdor "Prikamye" notes that in this area the top layer was made of crushed-stone-mastic asphalt concrete based on polymer-bitumen binders. This improves the grip quality of the coating and reduces noise on the road by 3-4 times. In general, the object is also distinguished by the fact that for the first time during the overhaul on the M-7 Volga federal road in the Perm Territory, a 3D automatic control system for construction equipment was used. Its use allows you to repeatedly increase the accuracy and productivity of work, which makes it possible to achieve maximum evenness of the pavement.

The repair was carried out at almost 33 km, the installation of wear layers to extend the life of the roadway was completed at 17.5 km of the route. AT Republic of Bashkortostan federal road workers from Uprdor "Priuralye" repaired and restored worn layers of pavement on 3 sections of the M-7 "Volga" highway with a total length of 33 km: from km 1188 to km 1192, from km 1192 to km 1205 km and from km 1235 to km 1251.

The most serious accidents

The M-7 Volga highway is not the most dangerous in the country, but serious accidents with tragic consequences regularly occur here. Of the largest for 2017, we can recall, in particular, the January accident at the entrance to Perm. On January 26, on the 398th km of the access road to the city of Perm, the driver of a Nissan foreign car allowed it to cross into the oncoming lane of the road, where it crashed into a Scania truck. As a result of the impact, 4 people were killed, three on the spot and one more in the hospital. In the spring, one of the most terrible accidents on the M-7 occurred in the Vladimir region, not far from the village of Pekshi. On April 28, a Hyundai Solaris car drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a truck at high speed. Two people died on the spot. After the accident, the federal highway was blocked - the trailer of the truck overturned on the roadway, the road was strewn with fragments of a flying car. Due to the accident, a traffic jam accumulated on the highway, motorists had to go around the accident site on the sides of the road.

Last summer, an accident on the M-7 in Chuvashia claimed the lives of three people. On July 26, at the 673rd km of the highway near the village of Tabanry, a wheel burst near the truck, after which the truck driver lost control and crashed into a Peugeot car. Another notable accident happened in August - in the Vladimir region, a raised crane arm hit the structures of a pedestrian bridge located above the roadway. After that, the structures collapsed onto the roadway and completely blocked traffic. Last autumn, one of the most serious accidents on the M-7 occurred in Bashkiria - on September 10, 3 people died in a head-on collision between Toyota Crown and Kia Rio cars. Three more died in an accident on November 16 in the city of Vladimir. The driver of a MAN truck crashed into a parked Ford Transit that was about to turn left. From the impact, the truck was thrown into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into a Toyota Corolla and Mitsubishi Lancer.

Road safety

In order to improve road safety and reduce the number of accidents, each of the federal departments carried out a large amount of work on the subordinate section of the M-7 Volga highway. Thus, in 2017, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and traffic without traffic lights, 13 pedestrian crossings at different levels were erected on the section under the administration of Uprdor Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod.

“In the Moscow region, two elevated pedestrian crossings were built at km 21 in Balashikha and km 94 on the border of the Moscow and Vladimir regions. In the Vladimir region, 7 overground and 2 underground pedestrian crossings were built. Seven of them were erected in Lakinsk (five aboveground and two underground), one more was built in the area of the turn to the Koloksha station at km 168 and in the city of Vladimir at km 13 of the M-7 Volga highway to the city of Ivanovo," the Department notes.

Also, 6.5 km of lighting lines were built and 44 km repaired. In the Moscow region, within the city of Balashikha, lighting was replaced on the section of the M-7 Volga highway from km 18 to km 23. In the Vladimir region, 39 km of electric lighting lines were repaired in the section from km 255 to km 294, passing through the villages of Pavlovskie Dvoriki, Simontsevo, Likhaya Pozhnya, Kourkovo, Chudinovo and the town of Vyazniki. More than 6.5 km of new lighting lines were built on the M-7 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2017. We illuminated sections of the route from km 424 to km 426, from km 519 to km 521 and from km 532 to km 534, which pass through the village. Fedyakovo and the village of Lvovo.

In Tatarstan, as part of the reconstruction of sections from km 888 to km 901 and from km 941 to km 957, almost 35 km of a metal barrier fence, more than 1,600 signal poles, over 340 lighting poles and 600 signs were installed. In addition, 23.6 km of barrier fencing was installed on sections M-7 Volga of the I-B technical category from Kazan to Naberezhnye Chelny. On two sections of the route in Vysokogorsky and Pestrechinsky districts, 1903 anti-dazzle screens were installed to avoid dazzling drivers with the headlights of oncoming vehicles on “curved” and dimly lit sections.

“For the safety of pedestrians, more than 2 km of a pedestrian fence was installed on a section of the M-7 Volga road within the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. In addition, four traffic lights have been installed in Naberezhnye Chelny. Now pedestrian crossings on federal highways have become regulated. The length of artificial electric lighting lines has increased by more than 9 km. The bulk of the work fell on the lighting of villages through which the federal highway passes, and bus stops, ”the Volgo-Vyatskupravtodor FKU said.

In the Perm Territory in 2017, work was completed on the installation of traffic management tools, including at the places of concentration of accidents. The road builders installed 5 L-shaped supports with signs "Pedestrian crossing" to further attract the attention of drivers and more than 2 km of barrier fencing. FKU "Prikamye" also installed an LED information screen at the 477th km of the entrance to Perm, near the traffic intersection in Krasnokamsk. The electronic shield was installed as part of the Safe and High-Quality Roads project and is designed to inform drivers as quickly and around the clock as possible about changes in weather conditions or aggravated traffic conditions.

In Bashkiria, in the village of Layashty, a traffic light with a call button was installed and a pedestrian crossing was equipped, the same traffic light appeared at km 1323, a metal barrier fence was installed in the section from km 1291 to th km along the 1306th km - road signs on L-shaped supports at pedestrian crossings.

The departments note a decrease in the number of road accidents on the M-7 highway - the result of not only repair, overhaul, reconstruction and construction work, but also the result of programs to improve road safety. In particular, in Tatarstan, the number of accidents last year compared to 2016 decreased by 8.5%. At the entrances from the highway to the cities of Vladimir and Ivanovo, the number of accidents decreased by 6.6%, deaths - by 16%, injured - by 7%.

“This result was achieved thanks to a set of measures - the construction of 11 overground and 2 underground pedestrian crossings, the installation of about 18 km of barrier and 2.3 km of pedestrian fences, and the additional arrangement of 3 ground pedestrian crossings with innovative equipment,” according to Uprdor Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod .

Plans for 2018

In the Moscow Region, work on the 27th km at the exit from Balashikha, which began at the end of 2017, will enter the active phase. Currently, the road builders are dismantling the existing pavement, widening the subgrade, erecting supports for elevated pedestrian crossings. In 2018, the overhaul of the section from km 83 to km 94 will continue. The complex of works will be carried out on the section from km 84 to km 90 in the village of Malaya Dubna. Here, on the 88th km of the M-7 highway, a traffic light will be eliminated, two turning loops and transitional speed lanes, a drainage system, and electric lighting lines will be installed. In the spring, in the city of Vladimir, it is planned to begin a major overhaul on the section from km 10 to km 21 of the M-7 Volga highway at the entrance to Ivanovo. During the overhaul, the roadway will be replaced, a dividing strip will be arranged, and the shoulders will be strengthened and expanded. The overhaul of the section of the M-7 highway from km 94 to km 102 will be carried out in the village of Kirzhach and at the entrance to the city of Pokrov. The road builders will build reversal loops, transition lanes, replace and reinforce pavement, install a drainage system, and install a barrier fence.

FKU "Volgo-Vyatskupravtodor" will continue the reconstruction of three sections of the route: from km 856 to km 868, from km 868 to km 878 and from km 878 to km 888. The road workers erected a subgrade and arranged the clothes of two new traffic lanes. At the moment, the worn-out coating of the existing road is being dismantled. The reconstruction involves the correction of the subgrade, after which a new, more durable and heavy-duty road surface will be erected. On the reconstructed sections, 11 exits and eighteen assigned left-turn turns (loops) are provided. Work at the facility, which started in May 2014, is expected to be completed as scheduled in September 2018. After commissioning, the throughput capacity of the sections will increase to 6,080 vehicles per hour.

Within the borders of Tatarstan, a major overhaul is planned at three sections of the M-7 Volga with a total length of 20.1 km, repairs - at 6 sections with a total length of 35.9 km. On the 787th km, it is planned to repair the bridge across the dry valley. Within the borders of Chuvashia, plans for 2018 have not yet been fully formed. The overhaul will take place on two sections with a total length of 7.857 km. In addition, the design of the reconstruction of the M-7 Volga on the section from km 735 (border with Chuvashia) to km 771 (interchange with the Kazan-Buinsk-Ulyanovsk highway) has been completed. It is planned to proceed directly to the reconstruction in the next 2-3 years.

On the territory of the Ufimsky and Kushnarenkovsky districts of Bashkortostan, it is planned to complete a large-scale project in 2018 - the reconstruction of the M-7 highway in the section from km 1310 to km 1321, which provides for bringing the road section to technical category IB, the construction of a transport interchange and a pedestrian overpass in near the village of Podymalovo, a bridge over the river. Sikiyaz, electric lighting devices, arrangement with modern means of organizing traffic.

Values that goes through such major cities as Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Kazan and Vladimir. Also, the road passes with entrances to a number of other cities, and part of the European route E22 belongs to E017.

Despite the fact that the Siberia, Irtysh, Amur and Baikal highways are continuations of the M-5, it is the M-7 that is considered to be the main highway connecting the Far East with the European part of Russia, since it provides the shortest route from Moscow to the eastern regions.

basic information

This highway originates in the east of the capital, from the intersection of the Entuziastov highway and the Moscow Ring Road, but it should be noted that all distances are measured from the center of Moscow. In the future, it passes through the Vladimir, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as the republics of Chuvashia, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. Its total length is 1351 kilometers.

In addition, the highway also includes various access roads to:

  • Ivanov, the length is 101 km;
  • Cheboksary, western entrance - 11 km, eastern - 3 km;
  • Izhevsk, the length reaches 165 km;
  • Perm, length 294 km.

It is also worth noting that the M-7 highway includes the Southern bypass of Vladimir with a length of 54 km, as well as Nizhny Novgorod, which has a length of 16 km.

The road itself passes through slightly hilly terrain, and in some areas there are steppe and wooded-marshy areas. The temperature conditions on this road are often exactly the same, and in January the average temperature is -10 ° C, and in July - +20 ° C.

For a long time, a project to extend the highway was hatched, and it was supposed to go from Ufa through the Zhukovsky interchange with the M-5 highway, as well as through the villages of Taptykovo, Berezovka, Zhukovo, Bulgakovo and further through Kartaly up to the border of Russia with Kazakhstan. In the end, the M-7 Volga highway was never developed, because due to the existence of the ZATO Mezhgorie, the project was not approved, although the area of the design route in the area of Zhukovskaya interchange was nevertheless built up.

Moscow region

Through the Vladimir and Moscow regions, this route passes through flat areas of swamps located in various watercourses, which were changed during the construction process, as well as relatively high humidity, which negatively affects the state of the M-7 Volga highway. Within the boundaries of the region, the road is quite straight, and the only exception is the 52nd km, which is located under the A-107 overpass, and does not have any strong longitudinal slopes. It is also worth noting that the road here passes through a fairly large number of settlements and traffic lights.

Almost throughout the entire territory on which the M-7 highway runs, the direction has at least four lanes, with each of them having a width of more than 3.5 meters. The entire section of the road is characterized by an improved asphalt concrete surface, and in most dangerous and high-speed sections it is also equipped with an axial barrier. In the period from 2005 to 2007, capital work was also carried out on the overwhelming majority of overpasses and bridges, and from 2006 to 2008 interchanges were also built on the 52nd km of the track. From May to June 2008, the pavement of the section from km 68 to km 79 was restored, and in autumn the bridge located at km 86 was also repaired.

In 2009, a decision was made to repair the pavement, as well as install an axial fence at the 33-37th km section, and at the end of the year it was also decided to install specialized cameras for recording violations in especially dangerous areas. In 2010, we also installed axial barriers and an additional chamber stand located at the 66th km.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that the state of the M-7 highway is constantly updated and modernized. In 2012, a large-scale improvement of the lighting system was carried out, as well as traffic lights equipped with a specialized time meter were installed, and in the next year an elevated pedestrian crossing was built.

Attractions

As mentioned above, there are a lot of significant places near which the M-7 highway is located. The destination includes the following attractions:

  • The estate of the princes Golitsins, which is located in Balashikha.
  • The house where Sergei Fedorovich Pankratov lived, which is a unique manifestation of personal creativity.
  • Assumption Church, located in the village of Bogoslovo, on the 64th kilometer of the way.

Vladimir region

The per-kilometer diagram of the M-7 Volga highway shows that in the Vladimir region the road differs in many respects from the Moscow one in that it passes through a more rugged terrain, which provides for the presence of a greater number of longitudinal slopes and bends, which can somewhat complicate the movement.

The section that runs from the border of the Vladimir region to Vladimir itself includes a fragment that has a four-lane traffic. In this section, the construction of the M-7 bypass road was carried out in such a way that the dividing fences along the axis are encountered only periodically, and the traffic intensity in this section is approximately 40,000 vehicles per day. Due to the fact that the route is quite busy and insufficiently equipped, traffic along it is tense, and sometimes quite dangerous, especially in adverse weather conditions.

The southern bypass of the city of Vladimir, which has a length of 54 km, has a two-lane road for the first fifteen kilometers, and the further section already has four lanes with a normal dividing line. It is worth noting that you can get to Nizhny Novgorod through the Southern Bypass of Vladimir, which was opened in 2001. You can also do this along the old section of the highway passing directly through Vladimir from the north side. It should be noted that its length is approximately 2 kilometers less compared to the Southern Bypass. After the repair of the M-7 highway, 15 traffic lights appeared on it, and as a result, traffic jams can be noticed during peak hours. Special attention should be paid to the fact that from the 193rd to the 222nd kilometer the road has only two lanes.

In the future, in the Vladimir region, the path passes along a fairly satisfactory four-lane highway, often with a dividing fence (not counting some settlements), therefore, it does not cause any particular complaints.

Posts

The construction of the M-7 highway was carried out in parallel with the construction of posts, while the government made sure that there were enough of them to ensure the safest possible traffic. Thus, the following posts can be distinguished:

  • At the junction of the Southern bypass near the village of Penkino and the northern bypass of Vladimir. In this place, a car radar or camera is often located behind the eighth lighting column, if you count in the direction from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.
  • In the Vyaznikovsky district (approximately the 285th kilometer). A specially disguised tripod is installed here, which is located near the village of Kourkovo in front of the overpass across the railway, and the crew itself is located directly near the bridge. It should be noted that from time to time the direction of control may change, and sometimes it is carried out from the Moscow side, and sometimes from the Nizhny Novgorod side.
  • In the village of Simontsevo (approximately the 276th kilometer). The duty post, together with the radar, is located in the gap of the dividing line opposite the cafe, located in the center of the village. Here, control is already being carried out immediately over both directions of movement.

Nizhny Novgorod Region

It should be noted that in the Nizhny Novgorod region, for the most part, the section of the highway is covered with a fairly good road. The total width of the canvas here is from two to six lanes, and its length itself is 250 kilometers. At the moment, this section of the route passes directly through Nizhny Novgorod, and every day more than 45,000 cars pass through the M-7 highway. Hotels are located almost along the entire stretch of the road, constantly accepting more and more new guests. The choice is large, you can choose the option according to your pocket.

Southern Bypass

This is a relatively new bypass road, which includes a section of the track that fully meets all modern quality and safety requirements. According to the level of execution, it is a highway with a dividing lawn, as well as various metal fenders along the edges, having an embankment height of 12-22 m. It should be noted that this highway has not yet been completed to the end, therefore it breaks off at the intersection with the road R158. After that, they indicated that they were already going to Bolshoye Mokroe and, approximately in the Kstovo area, they were taken to the main road.

The construction and reconstruction of the M-7 highway in the area of the Southern Bypass has been going on since 1984. The first stage, which is 16 kilometers long, connected this road with P125, and its construction was carried out between 1984 and 1993, including a bridge over the Oka River. The second line, passing through P125 and P158, having a length of 14.5 kilometers, was laid in just two and a half years, and it was opened in 2008. The third and fourth were never built due to the fact that the state could not finance construction work due to the economic crisis. In 2010, after a proposal from Sergei Ivanov, it was decided to work out a plan for the construction of the third stage, where public-private partnership with the further organization of paid travel should also be used. The third section was 46 kilometers long, and the cost of laying it is estimated at 20 billion rubles.

At the beginning of 2016, the construction of the third stage of the Southern Bypass was already at the final stage. The roadbed and main engineering communications have already been laid, as well as artificial structures have been erected. Among the remaining work, it is worth noting the laying of two additional oil pipelines, as well as the construction of another power line, followed by laying the final layer of the roadway. Traffic on this section opens in 2016, and it is worth noting that the dates were originally scheduled for 2017. The working movement should start by July 25, and the final commissioning will occur only at the end of August or the beginning of September, after the necessary tests have been carried out.

The fourth phase of the Southern Bypass is expected to be the longest and most costly section, and its length will be about 40 kilometers. Due to the construction of this section, it will subsequently be possible to provide a full-fledged bypass of Kstov and Nizhny Novgorod, providing access to the main M-7 Volga highway. Financing of this stage will be organized exclusively from the federal budget, and its construction is planned to be completed before the 2018 World Cup.

Nizhny Novgorod - border with Chuvashia

After the route continues to the Kazan highway, after which it goes to the Photo of the M-7 route clearly shows how the terrain changes noticeably, as a fairly large number of steep ascents and descents appear. The site has a fairly high accident rate, because the road has only two lanes, but there is no dividing line on it. The quality of the pavement is average, and only periodically the authorities carry out repairs. On this section of the road, you can only meet the urban settlement Vorotynets, as well as the cities of Lyskovo and Kstovo, through which the M-7 highway passes. Refueling is also quite rare.

Chuvashia

The so-called Gorky highway passes through the Chuvash Republic, the length of which is from 160 to 170 kilometers. On the way of this road there are a lot of geographical objects, including Cheboksary, the Sura River, the city of Tsivilsk and many others. Due to the fact that Chuvashia itself is characterized by a predominantly hilly-ravine relief, the road surface is not of the highest quality in many sections of the highway. In 2013, a bridge was built across the Sura for vehicles to cross, and roads began to be built at various sections of the entrance to that bridge. At most major intersections of bypass roads, there is an established traffic light regulation, but it works mainly only during the day.

Bridge across the Volga

Before the construction of an automobile bridge across the Volga on the M-7 began, the route initially passed in Tatarstan, and again returned to Chuvashia approximately at a section of about the ninth kilometer. At the same time, two ferries were regularly launched, which could transport various trucks.

After the bridge near the village of Naberezhnye Morkvashi was put into operation in 1990, the M-7 highway was changed, and a new section was built in Tatarstan, passing through a picturesque place at the renovated bridge crossing with Svyaga near Isakovo. In the future, a four-lane road begins in the Verkhneuslonsky district after a turn from Ulyanovsk.

Which is located near Nizhniye Vyazovye, is still functioning, and one ferry for trucks, cars and pedestrians runs through it. In winter, it is customary to organize a special ice crossing there, along which cars can move.

For some time, on various maps (including electronic ones), the M-7 highway near Türlema was indicated by two separate roads - this is the new one, which led to the bridge over the Volga River, and the old one, going through the ferry to Zelenodolsk.

Tatarstan

After the bridge across the Volga ends, the route goes around Kazan via the Kazan bypass road, where it also crosses the Kazanka River.

Then the road goes through the Pestrechinsky district. A fairly large amount of work was carried out here, aimed at extending the bypass road to R-239, performing it in the form of a full-fledged four-lane highway. Further, the route in the format of a 2x2 road passes to the village of Shali, where it rests on a two-level interchange, from which there is also an exit to the R-239 highway. After this interchange, there is a two-lane road again.

The continuation of the four-lane highway can be seen again only at the 900th kilometer, and it is located at the entrance to the Rybno-Slobodsky district. At the end of the Pestrechinsky district, the road goes through Mamadyshsky and Rybnoslobodsky districts. It should be noted that 20-30 kilometers before the Mamadysh exit, which the highway bypasses to the south, there is a large parking lot with a fish market, and the highway here is two-lane. But after the bridge over the Kirmyanka River, the route again divides into four streams, and so it goes through the new bridge along the Vyatka River, passing through the Yelabuga region. The Elabuga bypass road also has four lanes, and three kilometers after the bypass there is a connection with the highway towards Mendeleevsk.

All this information can be quite useful for those who do not know where the M-7 highway is, or who must cross some of its sections. Thanks to detailed explanations, you can not only overcome various obstacles, but also visit a lot of sights, having a good time along the way.

A large number of new interchanges, overpasses and roads will open in Moscow and the Moscow region this year. Sections of the North-Eastern chord, an interchange on the Dmitrovsky highway, a large bridge in Dubna are being completed. At the same time, the road workers are preparing to start new construction on the Yaroslavl, Dmitrovsky, Rublevo-Uspenskoye highways, in Lyubertsy: in these places, drivers need to prepare for overlaps and traffic jams. In parallel with this, the planned replacement of asphalt begins on many roads and streets. Details - in the material "Kommersant".
