This body is also different from the physical body - it is larger than it, surrounds it, including it in itself, and is usually invisible to us and known to us as an aura, feeling and a dream body. This book owes its existence to many people. But do I then feel obliged to take a vow of celibacy or to discourage women from having sex with men in every possible way? In other words, these are the new rituals of the new Toltecs. And everyone's spiritual work is actually done by the Spirit. : Moreover, even the feelings that you experienced in those bygone times can change. Introductory words

The goal of the group is to reveal to the people of the modern world the priceless treasures of the ancient vision of the world. It is recapitulation that helps to accomplish this. It remains only to shift the focus of attention from the mind to the body, to embrace it with your expanded awareness. Auxiliary Techniques Chapter In addition, in the beginning we made efforts for an exclusively left-sided shift of awareness.

All of them will help you to understand the essence of this process more deeply.

First, it was necessary to set out in writing and in sufficient detail all the events of past years, which achieved two results: But it turned out to be superficial in many respects - it took years to finally understand: does not at all mean an obligation to lose one's own view of things and blindly follow what is written. This practice is amazingly effective in exposing the illusory nature of the ego.

I never had a girlfriend! In other words, the connection with one's own destiny has been lost. At thirty-three, she's still a virgin and knows full well that it's just not normal. The wisdom of the Toltecs, Mayans and their predecessors - the Olmecs and Teotihuacans - that's what guided his thought and pen. Let me tell you a story about my close friend, which gives the clearest example of all of the above.

Shamans do not act on their own. Let's take the first step.

For I know well how undividedly real shamans devote their lives to serving their neighbor without any hint of self-aggrandizement or demands for reciprocal rewards. Recapitulation is a natural process of recovery, energetic healing of our body from past injuries, which consists in bodily remembering and re-experiencing the events that caused these injuries. And, I must say, I changed my mind.

But there is also another side of the coin:

I call the surviving Toltecs those peoples that have preserved in their midst the traditions of the ancient Toltecs. After all, I'm completely normal. But there is another side of the coin here: Not always and not everywhere humanity was imprisoned in the tight fetters of illusion. It reminds us of the enormous importance of the task that we have entrusted to ourselves: Its theme is recapitulation, an ancient Toltec technique for self-healing the human energy body from injuries inflicted in the past.

With his wife, who was nearby, nothing of the sort happened. I lived with them, I dedicated my previous book to them. They are horrified that even the worlds are on trial. The closer we are to our true nature, the closer to the Great Spirit that gives life to all of us.

These traumas usually manifest themselves as a constant internal conflict, and in addition, they give rise to a vicious circle of routine and meaningless activity in the psyche, through which vitality is constantly flowing. Unlike the Aztecs, whose aggressive worldview was clearly reflected in the emblem of the Mexican flag - an eagle devours a snake - the Toltecs understood duality as an opportunity for a future harmonious merger: from the worst material poverty.

Thanks to Armando Cruz and his associates for their support and courage in the struggle for the purity of the spirit of the new Toltec warriors.

Toddlers These creatures are already doing well, so there is no particular need for recapitulation.

Just a few moments - but they are enough to be able to see everything important and significant from the past. Freemasons - do not count. Personally, Carlos Castaneda never participated in my work. And not in the form of a clear and complete idea, without words and, perhaps, even without thoughts. But Mary was not in the mood for games, she kept looking and looking at the gate, hoping to hear familiar steps. What should I do?

The form that this technique has taken today is the result of more than thirteen years of research conducted by me and members of the society. Over the years I have lectured and taught seminars all over the world, and some of the organizers of the groups, advertising agents, managers and journalists have tried to call me a shaman for various reasons. Life seems to go on as before, but inside this boy will never be the same.

In the most general terms, a shaman is a person endowed with the knowledge and power to contact supernatural forces - mainly for the healing of a fellow tribesman. In boxing, Juan was especially restless, so that the instructors even began to glance in that direction more often than usual.

What are your memories? You can live your whole life unaware of its endless possibilities, but it is impossible to exhaust them. Ordinary memory and body memory Recapitulation, the definition says, is accomplished by recalling significant events of the past, more precisely, bodily recall. Just a few moments - but they are enough to be able to see everything important and significant from the past.

After all, our goal is not to copy senselessly and blindly, but to give the reader the opportunity to achieve mental and physical health, spiritual knowledge and, ultimately, freedom, which our practices serve.

But imagine that the physical body has forgotten all these skills.

It's so clear. Just a few moments - but they are enough to be able to see everything important and significant from the past. Finally, Sam gathered the remnants of his strength and mind and trudged home. A friend of mine, over many years of hard work, became a well-known physician with a huge clientele and more than a solid income. And this greatly slows down the launch of natural processes of self-healing - in particular, such a process as recapitulation.

The Snake that does not leave the earth is the tonal, the material world.

Victor Sanchez - The Toltec Way: Recapitulation. Healing past traumas

I had to stop the process, and the man was left with the impression that something mysteriously terrible had happened to him. And here's the main thing: Castaneda gave in it a temptingly colorful, but at the same time extremely general description of the technique, so that for those who would like to use it, there was simply no way to apply it in the context of our everyday life. In other words, these are the new rituals of the new Toltecs. But they also knew very well about the left side of their consciousness - the nagual, silent knowledge, capable of realizing such facets of life experience that the right side, the tonal, the mind, is absolutely powerless to comprehend.

I think, nevertheless, we should not forget that everything written by Castaneda is not only his merit, even if it is true that don Juan exists only on paper, as many people believe.

We need these ancient practices modified for our time and our society. Black holes in our energy bodies One has only to scratch the skin or slightly injure a finger, as the physical body immediately gets to work - forms the necessary substances, coagulates the outflowing blood, covers the wound with a crust - in general, does everything possible for the fastest healing. I shudder every time I hear that they are from Chapter 4 How the Recapitulation Process Works Now is the time to put the finishing touches on the overall picture of the recapitulation in order to comprehend the whole process: First, it was necessary to write down in sufficient detail all the events of past years, which achieved two results: I don't want this!

For the sake of final clarity, I will give a clear definition of three concepts that you will constantly meet on the pages of this book: And after that, most likely, you simply won’t want to smoke.

Chapter 2 The Essence of Recapitulation

Auxiliary Techniques Chapter This practice owes its origin to the rituals of the ancient Toltecs, these rituals are still in use today among the Mexican tribe of Virrarica. These forces can be spirits, deities, natural Elements, energies, or the almighty God himself. Our universe is a strange place in general. And a month later, he became so popular with women that we involuntarily burst out exclamations like:

That's why now I'm lonely and miserable.

In other words, recapitulation is not at all what they need. These traumas usually manifest themselves as a constant internal conflict, and in addition, they give rise to a vicious circle of routine and meaningless activity in the psyche, through which vitality is constantly flowing. As a result, people's lives undergo profound healing changes in a very short time. Carlos was neither my teacher nor my role model. One may disagree with other ideas and points of view that are explicitly or implicitly contained in Castaneda's books, and even with his personal lifestyle, but his works are undoubtedly of great value.

Duality By rejecting everything that lies beyond the understanding of the rationally thinking mind, a person ceases to perceive a large half of himself. And here's what's sad: They are working on creating new forms of old rituals, responding to the spiritual needs of modern society. Gradually overcoming the tightness in an atmosphere of trust, he managed to express to us a secret confession: After this, should we be so selfish as to close the endless stream of life on ourselves?

Power lines did not reach it, and a small generator generated electricity for a few light bulbs. They are felt by a person and are directly related to what does not belong to this world. The result of the process is healing in the form of recreating the integrity and harmony of the body that we had at the time of our birth.

Maybe you are ready to start practicing right now and are trying to quickly flip through the entire book in search of a direct guide to action?

And also in the books of Carlos Castaneda. The magic of ice patterns on a winter window and the dance of flames in a hot fireplace. Thanks to Armando Cruz and his associates for their support and courage in the struggle for the purity of the spirit of the new Toltec warriors. The culture that has served all mankind, preserving for us the sacred practices of expanding consciousness and awakening the spirit, is undoubtedly worthy of undistorted coverage on the pages of books and periodicals.

The purpose of the recapitulation, as we already know, is to restore the human energy field from damage received in the past from interaction with other energy fields. The very frantic desire to discover supernatural gifts in oneself is only the other side of the vaguely felt meaninglessness of everyday existence. But what perhaps sets them apart from us is their unique ability to transcend the pain and suffering of physical existence in order to reach the Spirit and become one with God.

Relatives and friends of the dying, who stood at their bed, say: Gg "grows above himself", along the way collecting "buns" and becoming steeper and steeper. His wife was quiet, indecisive, and therefore always silent. With the one who brought them such a lot of money! Unfortunately, in those circumstances it was not at all the place and time. Shamans are the same creatures of flesh and blood, like you and me, they also need shelter, food and clothing.

How did this book come about?

This book is written for those who are looking for a way to freedom and getting rid of the dictates of naked rationality, which suffers from modern civilization. Its theme is recapitulation, an ancient Toltec technique for self-healing the human energy body from injuries inflicted in the past. The form that this technique has taken today is the result of more than thirteen years of research conducted by me and members of the AVP society. The work of Carlos Castaneda has had a significant impact on these studies, but I want to make it clear once and for all that we have always gone our own way. Although many aspects of Castaneda's books have helped me and my colleagues, there are also many significant differences in our approach to goals and specific techniques. It's not hard to see if you read carefully. AT respect actually recapitulating, I will note that in some terms, ideas, points of view and certain parts of the ten steps of practice, a special influence of Castaneda's book "The Gift of the Eagle" is noticeable. But it is also true that the general direction, all the auxiliary techniques and the very structure of the steps are the result of my own many years of searching and Experience. Personally, Carlos Castaneda never participated in my work. Our only contact was fifteen years ago in Mexico City at an informal meeting. Carlos was neither my teacher nor my role model. While his books have inspired me over the years, I still find some of their ideas to be a significant barrier to personal and spiritual growth. My main source of inspiration is the ancient shamanistic traditions preserved by the surviving Toltecs (as I call the people of the Virrarica tribe) who live in the mountains of Northern Mexico. I lived with them, I dedicated my previous book to them. One may disagree with other ideas and points of view that are explicitly or implicitly contained in Castaneda's books, and even with his personal lifestyle, but his works are undoubtedly of great value. Carlos's early books prompted me to search for those practices carefully preserved by the Aboriginal tribes that could help modern society get out of the spiritual impasse. Second attention, cessation of internal dialogue, feeling of self-importance- these and many other concepts from his books have become an integral part of the vocabulary of today's researchers of shamanic practices. I think, nevertheless, we should not forget that everything written by Castaneda is not only his merit, even if it is true that don Juan exists only on paper (as many believe). The wisdom of the Toltecs, Mayans and their predecessors - the Olmecs and Teotihuacans - that's what guided his thought and pen. The dual world and the dual essence of man, tonal and nagual- all this was taught by their ancient knowledge. It is necessary to pay tribute to the talent of this man, through whose efforts the wisdom of the ages became involved in our time. And even more so - to honor those who created this knowledge in the past and preserved it to the present day. The closer we are to our true nature, the closer to the Great Spirit that gives life to all of us. And everyone's spiritual work is actually done by the Spirit. For everything is born from Him - and everything returns to Him.

Foreword

When death comes for us, in one brief moment all the events of the life that has come to an end flash before our inner gaze - brightly, visibly, in the fullness of sensations and feelings re-lived. Just a few moments - but they are enough to be able to see everything important and significant from the past. An opportunity opens up to bring harmony into the former chaos of turbulent incidents, to notice amazing beauty in the simplest things that we often indifferently pass by: be it the petals of a delicate flower that unfold towards the radiant sun, or the smell of the soil after a downpour. The warm breath of a loved one who happily fell asleep next to you, or the fascination with this wonderful world around, which is read in the wide eyes of children. The healing handshake of a friend at the moment of turmoil or the indescribable mystery of the night sky in the quiet glow of the stars. The bliss of a first date and the thrill of a tender kiss. The magic of ice patterns on a winter window and the dance of flames in a hot fireplace. Autumn foliage, suddenly plucked from the branches by a gust of icy wind, and the endless, quiet expanse of the sea. In other words, the magic of the ordinary, the mystery of the everyday. Surprisingly, only at this moment, on the very threshold of death, do we understand that have been dead for a long time, and only the last moment revived us for a moment, revealing the miracle of life. And then death takes us. Is it really only her arrival that makes us, half-blindly wandering through life, truly sighted? What is this, a rule without exception, a course of events laid down by the very nature of things? Is there no other way? There is. This is Toltec practice. recapitulation that gives fullness to life already in life- without having to wait patiently for this coming of death. This book contains all the necessary exercises, techniques, precise recommendations, a description of the key points and steps of progress. But it is also about the dawn of a new life. About you, about the call, about fate. Forward!

Introduction

This work is part of a report on twenty years of research into the knowledge of native tribes and their shamanistic practices, among which recapitulation is one of the most powerful. Since the word “shamanism” today has incredibly expanded the range of its meaning in comparison with its original meaning among the peoples of Siberia (where it came from), I will briefly outline how I understand it and how I intend to use it on the pages of my book in the future. In the most general terms, a shaman is a person endowed with the knowledge and power to contact supernatural forces - mainly for the healing of a fellow tribesman. These forces can be spirits, deities, natural Elements, energies, or the almighty God himself. Literally over the past twenty years, an amazing metamorphosis has taken place - shamanism has ceased to "huddle" in the narrow scientific field of anthropological research, attracting the attention of those many and many who are sincerely interested in the practice of healing and spiritual growth. Initially, such people only dreamed of meeting a “real shaman” in order to fully experience the impact of his mighty power and supernatural abilities. But over the years of searching and experimenting, sophistication has also grown - now they themselves want to become shamans, healing others and bringing joy to the world around them. But there is another side to the coin: countless books, groups, and seminars offer everyone an easy path to mastery of shamanic abilities, tempting people with low self-esteem with the opportunity to become important in their own eyes. The very frantic desire to discover supernatural gifts in oneself is only the other side of the vaguely felt meaninglessness of everyday existence. It is no coincidence that shamanism is inextricably linked with the idea of power for a modern person - the power to heal, change the course of life, "improve" fate, command, possess, control. My long-term stay among the Mexican Indians (direct descendants of the ancient Toltecs, as I believe) enriched me with a completely different view of this phenomenon: shamanism is, first of all, service, and only in the very last place - power. The real shamans that I knew carried out the mission of serving their fellow tribesmen as their first duty. And they are valued not by how great their strength is, but by how selflessly they help others, without demanding anything in return. They are forever the poorest of the poor, because, hunting or cultivating the land on an equal basis with everyone else (to feed themselves and their families), they spend most of their time on gratuitous healing. It is in view of such generosity and nobility of spirit of these people that I have always refused to use the word "shamanism" in that distorted, but so widespread in our days sense, which I have already mentioned. Look how many newly minted "shamans" today claim to possess higher powers, revered by a crowd even more ignorant than themselves! Over the years I have lectured and taught seminars all over the world, and some of the organizers of the groups, advertising agents, managers and journalists have tried to call me a shaman for various reasons. And there was no case for me to agree with this. For I know well how undividedly real shamans devote their lives to serving their neighbor without any hint of self-aggrandizement or demands for reciprocal rewards. I would never dare to put myself on the same level as these people; therefore, my audience will never be as overwhelmingly large as those of those "great naguals" and "shamans" who for some reason like this stupid masquerade. In my opinion, behind the impulsive desire to be called one or another resounding title is a sense of self-importance. And it brings nothing but harm both for the “guru” himself and for his followers. I understand perfectly well: a big name, a profitable image - without this now there is no advertising, no fees, but the freedom to be myself is still a great value for me. In the end, we all will die someday (since we were once born), and death will not impress our titles and titles at all. Real shamans are not at all like the “sleek” to nauseating characters of many books devoted to this issue. In fact, their bodies are often exhausted to the extreme, their hearts are tormented, and their souls are shaken by silent weeping. Today, before the eyes of these people, the whole world of their existence is collapsing to the beat of the "victorious" tread of the white man. And they bravely resist it. They fight to survive, they fight to save the treasury of spiritual tradition - not for themselves, not only for their descendants, but for the whole world, for you, for me. What makes their experience so valuable to humanity? The miracle of the insurmountable ascent from the gloomy abyss of existential loneliness in which modern man languishes - the ascent to complete merging with that inexpressibly powerful and mysterious force of the Universe, which is called the Great Spirit. The most amazing thing is that, while realizing this miracle of finding the once lost unity, at the same time they suffer from the most terrible material poverty. Shamans are the same creatures of flesh and blood, like you and me, they also need shelter, food and clothing. But what perhaps sets them apart from us is their unique ability to transcend the pain and suffering of physical existence in order to reach the Spirit and become one with God. And here's the main thing: perhaps what shamans manage to do, we will succeed too? They showed the way, the rest is up to us: whether we decide to bring the miracle of transformation into our own lives. My experience of contact with shamanism shows that the goal is not at all to achieve personal goals. Shamans do not act on their own. They, together with their entire tribe, are part of the memory of unity with the Spirit, part of the path to it, part of the knowledge of how to live with it in peace and harmony. This is what is called living tradition, is not a set of rules and beliefs, but rather a continuous practice of putting what is learned into practice. On the one hand, the shaman is undoubtedly a separate human person, but in the magical space-time of the ritual he performs, his experience, what he lives at that time, embraces all participants in the action. In this sense, the shamanic experience is both individual and collective at the same time, that is, available to everyone who participates in the ritual. Both the ritual and the experience gained in its course have the goal of regaining the once lost unity with the Force that moves the entire Universe and every part of it. Sacred-profane, eternal-mortal, spirit-matter, I-he - everything becomes One in the shamanic vision. Our two inner beings - tonal and nagual- converge again, reuniting, and only then are we able to see the deep integrity of our dual nature. This integrity is expressed by the Toltec symbol of the feathered serpent - Quetzalcoatl. The Snake that does not leave the earth is the tonal, the material world. The Eagle soaring in the sky is the Nagual, the Spirit. But unlike the emblem of the Aztecs - in the claws of an eagle the snake he killed - Quetzalcoatl of the Toltecs is a fusion of an eagle and a snake, spirit and matter, a harmony between tonal and nagual. For us, modern people of urban civilization, the shamanic experience is significant not at all because it is so “fascinating”, so “delightful” to imagine ourselves dancing a wild dance around a fire with a tambourine and a rattle, but because we lack the ability to find a way to merge with Spirit. This tragic inability triggers an irreversible process of destruction - both personal and species, that is, threatening the entire human race. All these years, my work has been to find that connecting thread that would connect modern society and shamanism, carefully preserved by some other tribes. I am completely convinced that the root disease of our time is the lack of proper practices that allow us to remember the sacred "I", usually dormant in the depths of the soul, about the indissoluble connection of everything with everything in this Universe; and not only allow you to remember, but also actualize all this in the course of directly experienced experience. We need these ancient practices modified for our time and our society. It is not enough just to try to imitate the tribal rituals of ancient times, for they were performed for communities of farmers or hunters. We also need rituals for the inhabitants of the "stone jungle" - modern cities. The long-term efforts of the New Toltec society served precisely this goal - to “transfer” the shamanic experience of past centuries to the rhythms of the new time, so that in our days it would be possible to make a “shaman’s leap” to another Self, to the other side of reality. Why do we need it so much? Because there is no healing without reaching integrity. Only by harmonizing and reuniting the polarities of our dual nature, we gain what rightfully belongs to us from the very beginning - inner strength, health, freedom.

Toltecs and the practice of recapitulation

The Toltec Way: Recapitulation is the title of my book. Both the second and third word of the title need the most specific clarification, which is what this section is devoted to. So, Toltecs. Every time I shudder when I hear that they come from other planets, or from Atlantis, which has gone into the abyss of the ocean, or even from other dimensions of space. All this is fundamentally wrong. There was such an ethnic group in the long history of Mexico - the Toltecs, and now there are still tribes (their direct descendants) that keep the living continuity of the Toltec culture from those very times. I well understand the motivation that prompts today to call all the keepers of the shamanic traditions of the Indians of Mesoamerica as Toltecs, but out of respect for history and specifically for this ethnic group that has survived so many centuries, it seems to me quite important not to confuse this issue. The culture that has served all mankind, preserving for us the sacred practices of expanding consciousness and awakening the spirit, is undoubtedly worthy of undistorted coverage on the pages of books and periodicals. Unfortunately, some authors under the name of Toltecs portray only the fruits of their imagination and aspirations. In part, this is even not bad - in any case, the attention of readers is drawn to the life and culture of the Mexican Indians, and at the same time to their plight. On the other hand, these books make a “worthy” contribution to the confusion that has arisen when, instead of getting acquainted with the knowledge system, tradition and worldview of real, ethnic Toltecs, the reader, without knowing it, is dealing with completely different tribes and nationalities. Recapitulation. This practice owes its origin to the rituals of the ancient Toltecs (these rituals are still in use among the Mexican tribe of Virrarica). But, we note, we are talking only about the roots, since neither the former nor today's Toltecs recapitulation in its current form has not been carried out and is not being carried out. On the tongue Nahuatl(this language was spoken by the Toltecs, Aztecs and many other ethnic groups of Mesoamerica) the word "tlakentlalia" means “gathering together all sins to bring them into memory” - this is how Alonso de Molina, a Catholic missionary of the 16th century, translated this concept (Fray Alonso de Molina. "Vocabulario en lengua Castellana y Mexicana", Madrid, 1944). Of course, de Molina could not have known about the healing practice of recapitulation, which is why he brought in the Christian concept of sin to interpret the unfamiliar word. The end of the practice was called "teochihua", or - according to de Molina - "deliverance from sins". Today we understand that we are talking about healing catharsis. This whole practice is carried out in our day by the people of the Virrarica tribe, one of the rituals of which is to tell the story of their life to the “Great-grandfather Fire”, especially for those moments that are considered “sinful” or marked by mental pain. There is also an energy exchange in this practice outside of verbal confession; in general, it is performed in a special ritual place "caligue", which is reached by performing an act of pilgrimage. It was these rituals that formed the basis of the technique developed by our group, which took us almost twenty years. Our technique is a modern modification of ancient practices. In other words, these are the new rituals of the new Toltecs. For the sake of final clarity, I will give a clear definition of three concepts that you will constantly meet on the pages of this book: - Speaking of ancient toltecs, I mean the Central Mexican ethnic group that existed in the 7th-12th centuries of our era and whose spiritual influence on other peoples of pre-Hispanic Mexico was incomparable in its depth. Contrary to the stories of the conquistadors about the bloody, cruel customs of this people, they were distinguished by the highest degree of spiritual, cultural and technological development, which had no equal in Mexico of that period. There is absolutely no doubt the existence of tribes today that are direct descendants of this ethnic group. - Toltec survivors I name those nationalities that preserved in their midst the traditions of the ancient Toltecs. For many years I lived among these people and dedicated my book Toltecs of the New Millennium to them. - New Toltecs- these are those who, regardless of the circumstances of life and nationality, are trying to preserve the Toltec traditions and put them into practice. They are working to create new forms of old rituals, responding to the spiritual needs of modern society. Following in the footsteps of the ancient Toltecs, they open up new ways- paradoxically, but this is precisely the way of action and the way of life of these people.

About the structure of the book

This book - the result of many years of research and discovery - is entirely focused on the implementation of the practice of self-healing of the energy body, which leads to fundamental changes for the better in the life of the practitioner. I divided the book into two parts: the first is devoted to theory, the second, a large part, to its implementation in practice. Since I myself am a man of action, I understand very well those readers who, omitting theory, immediately start reading chapters on practice - especially if they are already at least somewhat familiar with theory. But in the case of this book, I would not recommend this course of action, since it is structured so that each subsequent section is most deeply understood in the light of the previous one, so it is better to read it sequentially, page by page. Part I has two purposes: 1. To explain the essence of recapitulation, the importance of this practice for us and its results. 2. Give a deep understanding of the phenomena occurring in the course of its implementation. Maybe you are ready to start practicing right now and are trying to quickly flip through the entire book in search of a direct guide to action? In this case, the information in the first part will be especially useful to you. In addition, it contains the most valuable testimonies of those who have practiced recapitulation over the years. At the end of the first part are listed those special circumstances in which recapitulation is not recommended. Part II - practice: detailed, consistent, with precise directions and key tips. At the end - additional sections: - about a special technique that allows you to recapitulate any one important event, and not the whole past life from beginning to end; - about breathing technique during recapitulation; - about additional practices of harmonizing life after fundamental changes begin to occur in it as a result of recapitulation - these are exercises in the bosom of nature, energy conservation, health improvement, etc.; - information about the activities and seminars of our AVP group ("el Arte de Vivir a Proposito" - The Art of Purposefully Whole Life), thanks to whose work the practice of recapitulation in its current form was born. Now you know the route of travel. Let's take the first step.

Part I Recapitulation: What, How and Why

Chapter 1 Beginning

Main idea
To put it simply, recapitulation is a self-healing technique that allows you to relive the events of past years in order to heal the trauma that many of these events leave in our souls. These traumas usually manifest themselves as a constant internal conflict, and in addition, they give rise to a vicious circle of routine and meaningless activity in the psyche, through which vitality is constantly flowing. Recapitulation does not leave a trace of all this, because, to put it correctly, it eliminates breakdowns and eliminates leaks in the human energy field. The result of this practice is the restoration of that state of blissful integrity in which we were at the moment of our birth. Now, in adulthood, this state gives us the freedom to choose: what we should be, where to go and how to live, instead of endlessly expending energy on the incessant internal dialogue that was once started in connection with the received mental trauma. My previous book - The Teachings of Don Carlos - already contained a description of this technique. But almost ten years have passed since that publication. Ten years of continuous research into the practice of recapitulation - clarifications, deepenings, new discoveries, detection and correction of errors. Thus was born the "Ten Steps of Recapitulation", developed by the already mentioned AVP group, which formed the basis of the content of this book.
origins
The practice of recapitulation has its roots in the mists of time. Legends that have survived to this day report an extremely developed system of knowledge of the inhabitants of the ancient city of Tula and other Toltec settlements. Rituals like recapitulation are still performed by a number of tribes that can be considered direct descendants of this people. Confession to Great-Grandfather Fire (see "Introduction") is one of the simplest, but by no means superficial options for recapitulation. Modern psychology and psychoanalysis directly connect knowledge of the past with a correct understanding of what a person is in the present. Of course, Toltec practice and Freudian psychoanalysis are quite far apart, but the importance that both of them give to the past events of life clearly shows how much humanity has been able not to lose this valuable understanding over many centuries. Explanatory dictionaries of the English language explain the word like this recapitulation: "brief repetition, summation, total." Repeated, compressed, saturated experience of the past in consciousness, as a result of which the healing of mental trauma occurs - this is the technique that my book is devoted to.
Development
Working with the past and even the idea of its mental re-creation for healing are present in many therapies - this is bioenergetics, hypnosis, body-oriented psychology, the "first cry of a newborn" therapy, and much, much more. But the very term "recapitulation" first sounded since 1982, when Carlos Castaneda's book "The Gift of the Eagle" saw the light of day. Castaneda gave in it a temptingly colorful, but at the same time extremely general description of the technique, so that for those who would like to use it, there was simply no way to apply it in the context of our everyday life. Indeed, the difference between that mysterious world in which don Juan's disciple found himself and our lives is too great. As I explained in The Teachings of Don Carlos, my approach to Castaneda's books was somewhat different from that of most of his readers, due to my contact with the tribes - the direct successors of the traditions of the ancient Toltecs. (more about this in the book: Victor Sanchez. Toltecs of the New Millennium. [email protected], 1996) . Living among these people and participating in their rituals gave me the practicality that Castaneda's books lacked. Ever since I was taught the system nimomastic(in Nahuatl this word means "self-learning") - the key to the entire Toltec tradition - I was able to perform any technique that interested me in his books. So - my individual work and the activities of the personal growth group, which I have been heading for almost twenty years, have developed a set of practices that make up the content of this book. In their present form, these practices are composed of the following: - The methods of the Virrarica tribe (in my terminology, the surviving Toltecs), which are relevant to the recapitulation, as well as their adaptation to modern times. ...

One of the consequences of a thorough review- cleansing the body from the remnants of someone else's and, most importantly, alien you the energies that make us live and act in a completely different way than we would like. In other words, the connection with one's own destiny has been lost.

Have you ever noticed that your voice or, for example, your gestures are strikingly similar to the demeanor of a certain acquaintance? That you are fighting desperately on battlefields far away from your life path? Do not forget: the closeness of other people, especially those who are authoritative for us in some way, is firmly imprinted in the energy field.

How to build a box

The recapitulation box is a simple rectangular wooden box. One of the side walls should have two door hinges - it also serves as a door for entry and exit. The dimensions of the box are determined by your dimensions when you sit cross-legged on the floor.

It is built in three stages:

  1. Sizing
  2. Purchase of necessary materials
  3. Self assembly.

Dimensions

The position that you will take in the process of recapitulation is as follows: sitting on the floor, facing the front wall (door), leaning back against the back wall. There should not be too much free space left after this, but not too little either: between the knees and the side walls - about 7-8 cm, and about the same from the crown to the "ceiling", finally, from the knees and feet to the door - about 12 cm.

So, in order to find out the dimensions of the box, you should first measure yourself (it’s easier to do this with the help of a friend). So, sit cross-legged on the floor with your back against the nearest wall. Now measure these distances:

A = distance from the wall to the front of the knees + 12 cm

B = distance from the side of one of the knees to the side of the other + 15 cm (7.5 on each side)

C = floor to crown + 7.5 cm

From here we get the dimensions of the box:

Ceiling and floor: two boards in size AxB

Side walls: two boards AxC

Front wall (door): VhS board

Back wall: HxC board (it is better that the back wall is a centimeter shorter)

The last note is due to the fact that the smaller rear wall better provides fresh air through the holes. For the same reason, do not place the box close to the walls of the room (so as not to block the openings).

materials

You can order boards of the right size, or you can buy standard ones and cut them yourself (it will be cheaper this way). The best material is wood. You can not use plastic and metal, because their energy is not very friendly to us. I do not recommend cardboard, because it is rather fragile.

List of materials

Six wooden boards 2-2.5 cm thick.

Nails 4-4.5 cm long Two metal door hinges on wooden bolts.

Latch or hook (in order to close the door from the inside).

200-250 grams of wood glue.

Assembly

The main thing is that you do it yourself. Of course, it’s easier than ever to pay mere pennies to a carpenter so that he can assemble this simple structure for you in an instant. But then a large part of what boxing can give will be lost.

There is probably no need to describe the assembly stages (after all, this is not an airplane or a submarine). And if you have never held a hammer in your hands - well, so much the better! The effort invested in the work is a kind of sacrifice that will pay off handsomely in terms of the results of the process.

The construction of the box is a ritual, on which it directly depends on what power the box will be endowed with before starting work in it. It requires deep concentration on what is happening, no extraneous thoughts.

Establish an internal connection between your past, which keeps you in the grip of conditioning, and the boxing assembly. Think about what you've lived, about the good reasons that led you to recapitulate, imagine how you will go inside, start the process. Promise yourself to reach the end of it, having achieved liberation.

When building a box, do nothing else. Do not talk casually, do not listen to the radio, do not squint at the TV with one eye. This is a ritual, it is done only once in the whole process, treat it with full awareness.

Choose a proper location for assembly. This is usually the same place where you will then start the recapitulation. For example, if this is a house surrounded by trees, then nothing better could be desired. But many other options are also suitable, as long as it is calm and quiet enough there.

And lastly, there is no need to decorate the box with stucco molding and elegant wood painting. It should be a simple rectangular wooden box.

The warm breath of a loved one who happily fell asleep next to you, or the fascination with this wonderful world around, which is read in the wide eyes of children. Just a few moments - but they are enough to be able to see everything important and significant from the past. And I want to thank them all. Our technique is a modern modification of ancient practices.

Modern psychology and psychoanalysis directly connect knowledge of the past with a correct understanding of what a person is in the present. Your realities will differ even with a seeming coincidence. The culture that has served all mankind, preserving for us the sacred practices of expanding consciousness and awakening the spirit, is undoubtedly worthy of undistorted coverage on the pages of books and periodicals.

The Toltec Way: A Recapitulation. Healing past traumas

Our two inner essences - the tonal and the nagual - converge again, reunite, and only then are we able to see the deep integrity of our dual nature. In the end, we all will die someday, since we were once born, and our titles and ranks will not impress at all. Three times she was visited by deep love - and not once did it result in a marriage and the creation of a family that was desired for both. Shamans do not act on their own. In other words, these are the new rituals of the new Toltecs. On another occasion, I saw a woman spontaneously go into recapitulation due to a slight gust of wind that knocked her to the ground.

More precisely, it is your very body that you know nothing about.

More precisely, it is your very body that you know nothing about. The work of Carlos Castaneda has had a significant impact on these studies, but I want to make it clear once and for all that we have always gone our own way. Thanks to Magnolo Setina - his deep insight into the essence of the practice has made an invaluable contribution to the content of the book. They are working to create new forms of old rituals, responding to the spiritual needs of modern society.

Although many aspects of Castaneda's books have helped me and my colleagues, there are also many significant differences in our approach to goals and specific techniques. Confession to Great-Grandfather Fire, see. Perhaps for the first time in many centuries, it became possible to connect the experience of shamans with the field of modern psychology; I will mention that many of the psychologists participating in the experiments eventually adopted our techniques as an integral part of their methods of working with patients, and the group contributed to this case invaluable contribution.

At the end - additional sections: I divided the book into two parts: The body is different from the physical body - it is larger than it, surrounds it, including it in itself, and is usually invisible to us and known to us as the aura, feeling and dreaming body.

There is absolutely no doubt the existence in our days of tribes that are direct descendants of this ethnic group. The result of the process is healing in the form of recreating the integrity and harmony of the body that we had at the time of our birth. Is it really only her arrival that makes us, half-blindly wandering through life, truly sighted?

In part, this is even not bad - in any case, the attention of readers is drawn to the life and culture of the Mexican Indians, and at the same time to their plight.

Sacred-profane, eternal-mortal, spirit-matter, I-he - everything becomes One in the shamanic vision. They, together with their entire tribe, are part of the memory of unity with the Spirit, part of the path to it, part of the knowledge of how to live with it in peace and harmony. Therefore, everything that happens to any of the creatures of the Universe is determined by the level of its energy and the quality of energy interaction with the creatures surrounding it.

Recapitulation is a natural process of energetically restoring our energy body and healing it from past damage. And humans are no exception. I call the surviving Toltecs those peoples that have preserved in their midst the traditions of the ancient Toltecs. The result of this practice is the restoration of that state of blissful integrity in which we were at the moment of our birth. Our only contact was fifteen years ago in Mexico City at an informal meeting.

The What, How, and Why Chapter 1 Getting Started The Basic Idea Put simply, recapitulation is a self-healing technique that allows you to relive the events of past years in order to heal the trauma that many of these events leave in our souls. Thanks to Magnolo Setina - his deep insight into the essence of the practice has made an invaluable contribution to the content of the book. Is there no other way? For thirteen years, more than two hundred people - among them psychologists, psychiatrists and psychoanalysts - have been developing these techniques, testing them on themselves, identifying and correcting errors, deepening and expanding the possibility of application.

Rituals like recapitulation are still performed by a number of tribes that can be considered direct descendants of this people.

Inability to trust, surrender to love, open your heart Decision. . Contrary to the stories of the conquistadors about the bloody, cruel customs of this people, they were distinguished by the highest degree of spiritual, cultural and technological development, which had no equal in Mexico of that period.

Is there no other way?

I well understand the motivation that prompts today to call all the keepers of the shamanic traditions of the Indians of Mesoamerica as Toltecs, but out of respect for history and specifically for this ethnic group that has survived so many centuries, it seems to me quite important not to confuse this issue. The warm breath of a loved one who happily fell asleep next to you, or the fascination with this wonderful world around, which is read in the wide eyes of children. Contrary to the stories of the conquistadors about the bloody, cruel customs of this people, they were distinguished by the highest degree of spiritual, cultural and technological development, which had no equal in Mexico of that period.

But over the years of searching and experimenting, sophistication has also grown - now they themselves want to become shamans, healing others and bringing joy to the world around them. Its representatives have lost contact and even memory of our magical side to such an extent that they are not even aware of its existence.

Thanks to Magnolo Setina - his deep insight into the essence of the practice has made an invaluable contribution to the content of the book. According to the knowledge of the Toltecs, attempts to rationally comprehend oneself from the standpoint of the ego are fundamentally contradictory, because they give rise to an insoluble conflict between, for example, a certain thought A and another thought - B. The Toltecs offered a deeper, and most importantly, more practical look at the true nature of man. The Toltec Indians of Mexico never made such an unforgivable mistake.

This book owes its existence to many people. . This is what is called a living tradition - not a set of rules and beliefs, but rather a continuous practice of putting what is learned into practice.

My many years of living among the Mexican Indians, direct descendants of the ancient Toltecs, I believe, has enriched me with a completely different view of this phenomenon: The process of psychoanalysis is based on thinking and the ability to express the ego - mainly verbally.

Its theme is recapitulation, an ancient Toltec technique for self-healing the human energy body from traumas inflicted in the past. And there was no case for me to agree with this. To better understand this thought, one should see our existence as the life of a field of energy, and this is a completely different view compared to how we are used to perceiving ourselves in everyday life.

Literally over the past twenty years, an amazing metamorphosis has taken place - shamanism has ceased to "huddle" in the narrow scientific sphere of anthropological research, attracting the attention of those many and many who are sincerely interested in the practice of healing and spiritual growth.

My long stay among the Mexican Indians (direct descendants of the ancient Toltecs, as I believe) enriched me with a completely different view of this phenomenon: shamanism is, first of all, service, and only last but not least - power.
