TV Debate Secrets: Why Trump Beat Clinton

Premonitions of civil war continue to hover over the election campaign in the United States, and that is why the last and, as Stirlitz (aka Colonel Isaev) said, the most important issue of the televised debates was the question of the candidates' readiness to admit defeat and support the winning candidate.

Well, no one was interested in Clinton's pledge of allegiance to democracy, since Trump has no way to fake the election results yet, and he can only win honestly. But Trump’s answer immediately caused a lot of controversy, and over time, the cloud of mystery around his answer not only thickened, but lightning began to strike from it and thunder rolled. I must say that the debate was initially very strange: the hooligan and bully Donald Trump, whom the American media accuse of “boyfriendship” more often than Russian liberals accuse Vladimir Vladimirovich of this, suddenly decided to show himself a gentleman and spoke about Hillary Clinton’s numerous failures as if she is indeed a former first lady of the United States, not a power-grabbing criminal whose any mention would cause the Republican convention to chant "Jail her!".

Trump was very careful in his choice of expressions, especially explaining that it was Hillary Clinton's experience that disqualified her as a candidate for the presidency of the United States, since her experience in senior government positions had terrible consequences for the United States. But he used arguments so complex for this that only experts could understand them. For example, Hillary Clinton, in her election campaign, very successfully fights off accusations of creating ISIS (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation), “turning the arrows” either on President Bush, who started the war in Iraq and concluded an agreement with the transitional government of Iraq, which determined the exact date the withdrawal of American troops, or on President Obama, who carried out this withdrawal in 2011. It was as a result of this that a power vacuum formed in Iraq and an insignificant Syrian group called the Islamic State (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) a year and a half ago was able to come from Syria to Mosul and seize 2,300 American Humvee armored vehicles there, as if specially prepared for them. in this key city of Iraq from the point of view of its strategic position.

Well, who, except for specialists who have been closely following the ups and downs of American foreign policy for years, could understand Donald Trump's hints that Hillary Clinton, who led the negotiations on extending the stay of American troops in Iraq as Secretary of State, deliberately failed them against the wishes of both President Obama, and Iraqi government? Meanwhile, it was the failure of these negotiations that created the very force that, after dozens of terrorist attacks, not only Donald Trump, but also many of his opponents consider an existential threat to the United States. Well, the fact that Islamist groups pose an existential threat to Russia is clear to everyone after the events at Dubrovka.

Meanwhile, the Mosul incident, in a sense, turned out to be the fulfillment of the “prophecies” of Saudi Arabian intelligence chief Bandar bin Sultan, who arrived in Moscow in January 2014, when a fire was already blazing in Kyiv, set on fire by Angela Merkel’s Fourth Reich. And if you remember that he then threatened to disrupt the Olympics if Russia did not stop supporting the legitimate government of Bashar al-Assad, reaching the already partially fulfilled predictions of a terrorist war that would shame nuclear weapons, then the connection between Hillary Clinton's policy and very large donations to her foundation on the part of Saudi Arabia and Germany becomes almost obvious. But the way Donald Trump framed his response to Hillary Clinton's allegations of cavalry (verbal) attacks on Iran in a televised debate, specifically mentioning Hillary Clinton's cavalry attacks on Russia, combined with the assertion of NATO's inability and unwillingness to respond to terrorist threats, was very little. understandable as a hint that the main existential threat to both the United States and Russia is represented by people who prevent the two great powers from agreeing on joint actions against ISIS (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation).

Why Trump preferred the allusional tactic in the first televised debate, without even mentioning that - unlike Iran - Russia can destroy the US at the touch of a button and cavalry attacks on it are significantly more dangerous than attacks on Iran remains a mystery, but for those in the know, it is clear that during the debate he indicated his willingness to move further from accusing Hillary Clinton of weakness as secretary of state to accusing her of deliberately provoking a conflict between Russia and the United States in the interests of Saudi Arabia, the European Union and ISIS. The latter speculation has taken on particular significance following threats of terrorist attacks on Russia last week from US Navy Rear Admiral John Kirby, now a State Department spokesman for Hillary Clinton. Moreover, the fact that Donald Trump expressed his assumptions in this form 4 days before the rear admiral contributed to the art of diplomacy, to some extent, was explained in the answer of Hillary Clinton, who at the end of the televised debate simply switched to piggy squealing accusing Trump of ungentlemanly treatment of women.

It seems that this time the result of the US elections will really be determined not only at the polling stations, but also in high offices, where a week ago they watched televised debates, after requiring the candidates to behave within certain limits. And Donald Trump, having "predicted" the State Department's cavalry raids on Russia, stepped on Hillary's sore spot, forcing her to leave this framework, and without leaving it himself. That is why he bowed in front of her during a televised debate, and only after she broke down, told how he imagined a rude, or rather tough, answer from Hillary Clinton, but simply could not do it. It is difficult to interpret this statement other than an explanation of her gentlemanly behavior during the first televised debate, addressed to her supporters, and a threat addressed to listeners in high offices to refuse it if Hillary Clinton does not return to the stipulated limits.

And she cannot return to them by virtue of her character, although she declares Trump's temperament inappropriate for the presidency. The fact of the matter is that she put forward the thesis about his temperament in order to evade the discussion of foreign policy on the merits, but after Vladimir Putin's announcement about withdrawing from the weapons-grade plutonium disposition treaty, this is hardly possible. Especially when you consider that it was Hillary Clinton who signed the protocol to this treaty in 2011, which filled it with concrete content. It will be very strange if, at the next TV debate, the presenters do not ask the candidates about 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium, which is enough for 17,000 warheads, especially since the Russian president linked the issue of returning to this treaty with the Western policy in Ukraine, the opinions of the candidates about which came to head-on collision, best demonstrating their differences. It can be said that Vladimir Vladimirovich rolled the ball to Donald Fredovich into the penalty area at the next televised debate, and he chose the most convenient moment for this, since on the day of the announcement of the withdrawal from the treaty, the vice presidents' televised debates were to be held, showing all the unprotected places of Hillary Clinton in connection with this question.

Now, if the next televised debate between Trump and Clinton raises the question of the damage to US security caused by the experience of Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state, already raised by Trump in the previous televised debate, 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium will give this issue a special radioactive poignancy. A large part of these 17,000 plutonium warheads can be put very quickly and cheaply by Russia on its new missiles capable of carrying 10 warheads each and already installed on the latest ultra-quiet nuclear submarines that have become operational in the two years that the Nazis have rampaged Ukraine, especially if President Hillary Clinton, as she promised, would officially begin supplying the Ukronazis with the latest weapons.

In addition, they will undoubtedly add a degree to the confrontation between Trump's supporters, who do not believe in the ability of the self-proclaimed Democratic candidate to win the election honestly, and her supporters, who are ready to plant a complete criminal in the US President's chair in the name of the political axioms hammered into their heads about "The only Superpower” that just collapsed after the announcement of the President of Russia about the withdrawal of Russia from the treaty on the disposal of decaying materials.

That explains the host's final question about the candidates' willingness to admit defeat and why this election represents an emergency of apocalyptic proportions that required the intervention of those Trump's address in the televised debate. And his story in response to this question about how thousands of illegal immigrants illegally obtained US citizenship was undoubtedly a veiled statement that he would only recognize elections that were fair. In particular, they will not use the votes of freshly minted US citizens who obtained citizenship illegally solely so that they could vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming elections.

The organizers of the televised debates and those who are able to stop Hillary Clinton's political machine from rigging the election results are clearly afraid of a civil war, and if they wanted to take Trump at his word, then they did it poorly. Indeed, all those who listened to Trump's answer to this question live now argue that it was distorted by interference, and in the final version of the televised debate, in which this interference is not heard, the adjective "fair" applied to the noun "election" in Trump's promise to recognize their results were cut out, and those thunders and lightnings that beat out of this cloud of mystery around this issue will, perhaps, be more dangerous for the United States than those 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium that Vladimir Vladimirovich just refused to dispose of.

Plot

The girl Ellie lives in the steppe with her mother and faithful dog Totoshka. One day, a hurricane, caused by the evil sorceress Gingem, picks up the van in which Ellie and Toto are located, and brings it to the Magic Land, where wizards, talking animals and other unusual creatures live. The wagon crashes right on Gingham and the sorceress dies, so the Munchkins - the inhabitants of the Blue Country - decide that Ellie is a powerful fairy. The wise sorceress Villina predicts to the girl that she will be able to return home when she gets to the Emerald City and the great wizard Goodwin will fulfill the cherished desires of the three creatures she met along the way. Ellie, wearing silver shoes left over from Gingema's death, sets out on her journey along the yellow brick road, accompanied by Totoshka, who has spoken. Along the way, they meet the Scarecrow - a straw scarecrow who dreams of getting a mind; the Tin Woodman, whose cherished desire is to have a heart; Cowardly Leo, who wants to become bold. New friends save Ellie from the captivity of the Cannibal, help her cross the river on a raft, defeat the saber-toothed tiger ... The guards of the Emerald City, seeing Ellie in silver shoes for the first time, decide that a fairy has come to them, and allow her and her friends to Goodwin. The Great and Terrible wizard appears before them in different guises and announces that he will fulfill all their desires when the friends defeat the evil sorceress Bastinda, who sends Flying Monkeys to the Emerald City, who cover flowers with sand. Ellie, the Scarecrow, the Woodcutter, the Lion and Totoshka set off again and come to the Purple Country, where for some reason the wells are covered with sand. The stupid Wolf, Bastinda's servant, says that the mistress does not like water: if you splash it on it, it will melt. The Scarecrow offers to go to Bastinda's castle, taking water. The sorceress, wanting to get magical shoes as soon as possible, forgets about caution and falls into a bucket of water. The locals of Miguna gain their freedom. Ellie finds a wonderful Golden Hat in the castle and becomes the mistress of the Flying Monkeys: they transfer the girl and her friends back to the Emerald City. There, Goodwin's secret is revealed: the imaginary magician turns out to be an ordinary artist. Nevertheless, he treats Leo with a delicious drink that "gives courage"; The Scarecrow gives a wreath of roses, in which "the mind is enclosed"; The Tin Woodman has a silk heart inserted into his chest. Then Goodwin is going to fly away with Ellie in a balloon, and leaves the Wise Scarecrow as the ruler of the Emerald City. However, the balloon with Goodwin rises into the sky ahead of time, and the girl remains in the Magic Land. Then she orders the Flying Monkeys to bring Stella, the good sorceress of the Pink Country. Stella reveals the secret of silver shoes: you need to click your heel on the heel and say your desire. Ellie and Toto return home.

Time passes. Ellie's uncle, the old sailor Charlie, is visiting Ellie. Crow Kaggi-Karr brings a letter from the Scarecrow, from which Ellie learns that her friends are in trouble. It turns out that the eagle owl, who used to serve Gingem, brought a chest with the life-giving powder of his former mistress to the gloomy and power-hungry carpenter Oorfene Deuce. Oorfene learned about his strength by accidentally reviving a bearskin, which he stuffed with sawdust, and he had a faithful bear. Then he made several dozen formidable soldiers out of wood and captured the Emerald City. The former ruler of the Scarecrow ended up in an underground prison, where the soldiers later threw the Tin Woodman and the Bold Lion. Uncle Charlie, Ellie, Kaggi-Karr and faithful Totoshka are sent to the Magic Land on a land ship. On the border of the country, there are black stones of Gingema, attracting all strangers to themselves, but the crow turns to Villina for help, and she eliminates the evil spell with wonderful berries. Ellie, the sailor and Totoshka get into the underground passage, drive away the terrible Six-paws along the way, reach the palace prison and get out of it together with the released friends, sawing through the bars on the window. Toto, having learned that Oorfene took the ax from the Woodcutter in order to make new soldiers, beats off the tool. The sailor tries to shoot back at the wooden army from the ship's cannon, but the cannonballs quickly run out. The whole team has to leave the ship, damaged by soldiers' clubs. Then the Scarecrow comes up with the idea of catching Oorfene's soldiers with the help of tree resin. The Tin Woodman carves the captured wooden figures with kind faces instead of evil faces, and the former warriors become gardeners and foresters to grow new trees in place of those cut down. At this time, Oorfene runs out of powder, and the self-proclaimed ruler escapes into the dungeon, unable to withstand the onslaught of the rebellious inhabitants of the Magic Land. The Winkies fix the landship, and Captain Charlie, Ellie, and Toto return to Kansas.

Ellie is home again. Neighbor boy Tim, who heard about her travels to the Magic Land, also decides to brag to the girl and takes her with him for a boat trip to the Singing Cave. An underground river leads to the Magic Land; confirmation of this - Totoshka starts talking again. The friends meet a huge but cute chick, which Tim protects from the Six-Clawed, and then end up in the country of the Underground Miners, ruled by seven kings; each has its own day of the week. The Keeper of Time watches over a clear change of sovereigns and every evening lulls the king who has reigned with the Water of Oblivion. Meanwhile, Oorfene Deuce wanders through underground corridors and, having heard human voices, breaks a pool of soporific water. The water goes into the ground. Oorfene declares to King Tuesday (it is he who rules on the day of the catastrophe) that the fairy Ellie, the winner of Gingema and Bastinda, will be able to return the water. A week passes, the rest of the kings wake up, it becomes difficult for the Keeper of Time to maintain order. Ellie begins to defiantly cast spells, and Toto secretly escapes into the underground corridors. The scent takes him to the Emerald City, and the Scarecrow with the Tin Woodman and the Bold Lion rush to the rescue, taking with them a pomp and a drill. Having reached the Underground Country, friends drill the earth, extract the Water of Oblivion, the kings get drunk and fall asleep again (even King Sunday, who is supposed to rule by the clock, drinks water, explaining that "Sunday is a day off"). Deuce, frightened that he will be left without support, also drinks magic water (“They don’t beat the lying down!”). The wise Scarecrow offers to re-educate the kings, and the Keeper of Time distributes to the awakened masters of the craft, who do not remember anything about themselves, so that the former oppressors work honestly. They decide to make a man out of Oorfene: the Scarecrow promises to teach him to be smart, the Tin Woodman is kind, and the Lion is brave. There are no more villains left in the Magic Land, and the underground inhabitants are getting upstairs.

Continuing to look at the site, I often wonder who, in fact, are the positive characters here, and who are the negative ones? And I can not clearly answer this question. It would seem that the most negative heroes, in the future, do very good deeds, and the heroes, it would seem, positive - quite the opposite.

Bastinda - the evil witch from the fairy tale "The Wizard of the Emerald City"

Before ending up in Wonderland, the sorceress Bastinda lived in the Big World, on the American mainland. The change of her residence surprisingly coincided with a similar decision of three other fairies - Villina, Stella and Gingema.

Immediately upon arrival in the Fairyland, powerful sorceresses decided to divide it among themselves. As a result of the lot, Bastinide got a remarkable country - Violet.

Bastinda was a charming fairy and sorceress. She had power over animals: wolves, iron-beaked ravens, and black bees, whose stings were harmless to her. Bastinda also controlled the Flying Monkeys with the help of the magic Golden Hat: according to legend, the Monkeys must dutifully fulfill the three wishes of the owner of the Golden Hat. With the help of the magical Monkeys, Bastinde managed to capture the country of the Winkies, and also successfully repel Goodwin's attacks. Bastinda also had an amazing means of transportation - a magic umbrella - which worked on the principle of a flying carpet, carrying the sorceress from place to place.

The last time the sorceress had to resort to the service of the Monkeys was during the campaign of Ellie and her friends in the Purple Country, when she lost control of the wolves, bees and crows. Then, by spending her last wish, she was able to win.

Probably, negative characters are liked because they are first beautiful, second they all have a sad story, thirdly they must be smart, fourthly he must be unhappy and lonely. But I think that the negative characters are mysterious, brave, but it's a pity that sometimes these characters often die at the end of the movie or at the end of the anime ... But some heroes realize their guilt and begin to fight for the side of good.

Story: "The Wizard of the Emerald City"

THE LAST MAGIC OF BASTINDA

A green-bearded soldier led the travelers to the gates of the Emerald City. The gatekeeper took off everyone's glasses and put them in his bag.
Are you leaving us already? he asked politely.
“Yes, we have to go,” Ellie answered sadly. - Where does the road to the Purple Country begin?
“There is no road there,” said Faramant. “No one willingly goes to the country of the evil Bastinda.
– How do we find it?
"You won't have to worry about that," the gatekeeper exclaimed. – When you come to the Purple Country, Bastinda will find you herself and take you into slavery.
“Maybe we can deprive her of magical powers?” said the Scarecrow.
“Ah, you want to defeat Bastinda? So much the worse for you! No one has yet tried to fight with her except Goodwin, and even that one, - the guard of the gate lowered his voice. - Failed. She will try to capture you before you can do anything. Be careful! Bastinda is a very evil and skillful sorceress, and it is very difficult to deal with her. Go where the sun rises and you will enter her country. I wish you success!
The travelers said goodbye to Faramant and he closed the gates of the Emerald City behind them. Ellie turned east, the others followed her. Everyone was sad, knowing what a difficult task they had to do. Only the careless Totoshka was merrily running around the field and chasing large colorful butterflies: he believed in the strength of the Lion and the Tin Woodman and hoped for the ingenuity of the Straw Scarecrow.
Ellie looked at the dog and yelped in surprise as the ribbon around her neck turned from green to white.
- What does it mean? she asked her friends.
Everyone looked at each other, and the Scarecrow said sagely:
- Sorcery!
For lack of another explanation, everyone agreed with this and walked on. The Emerald City was disappearing into the distance. The country became deserted: travelers approached the possessions of the evil sorceress Bastinda.
Until noon, the sun shone directly into the travelers' eyes, blinding them, but they walked along a rocky plateau, and there was not a single tree to hide in the shade. By evening, Ellie was tired, and Lev had injured his paws and was limping.
We stopped for the night. The Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman stood guard while the others fell asleep.
The evil Bastinda had only one eye, but she saw with it in such a way that there was no corner in the Purple Country that would have escaped her gaze.
Going out in the evening to sit on the porch, Bastinda looked around her possessions and shuddered with rage: far, far away, on the border of her possessions, she saw a little sleeping girl and her friends.
The sorceress blew her whistle. A pack of huge wolves with angry yellow eyes, with large fangs protruding from their gaping mouths, ran to Bastinda's palace. The wolves sat down on their hind legs and, breathing heavily, looked at Bastinda.
- Run west! There you will find a little girl who brazenly entered my country and her companions with her. Tear everyone to shreds!
Why don't you take them as slaves? asked the pack leader.
- The girl is weak. Her companions cannot work: one is stuffed with straw, the other is made of iron. And with them Leo, from whom also do not expect any sense.
This is how Bastinda saw it with her one eye.
The wolves took off.
- To shreds! To shreds! the sorceress squealed after her.
But the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman did not sleep. They noticed the approach of the wolves just in time.
"Let's wake up the Lion," said the Scarecrow.

“Don’t,” said the Tin Woodman. “It's my job to deal with the wolves. I'll arrange a good meeting for them!
And he stepped forward. When the leader ran up to the Tin Woodman, his red mouth wide open, the Woodman swung his sharpened ax - and the head of the wolf flew off. The wolves ran in file, one after the other; as soon as the next one rushed at the Tin Woodman, he was already ready with his ax raised up, and the head of the wolf fell to the ground.

Bastinda had forty fierce wolves, and forty times the Tin Woodman lifted his axe. And when he lifted it for the forty-first time, not a single wolf remained alive: they all lay at the feet of the Tin Woodman.
- Great fight! - the Scarecrow admired.
“Trees are harder to cut,” the Woodcutter replied modestly.
Friends waited for the morning. Waking up and seeing a bunch of dead wolves, Ellie got scared. The Scarecrow told about the night battle and the girl thanked the Tin Woodman with all her heart. After breakfast, the company boldly set off.
Old Bastinda liked to soak up her bed. She got up late and went out on the porch to ask the wolves how they killed the impudent travelers.
What was her anger when she saw that the travelers continued to walk, and the faithful wolves lay dead.
Bastinda whistled twice, and a flock of predatory crows with iron beaks swirled in the air. The sorceress shouted:
- Fly west! There are strangers! Peck them to death! Hurry! Hurry!
Crows with an evil croak rushed towards the travelers. Seeing them, Ellie was frightened. But the Scarecrow said:
- Dealing with these is my business! After all, it was not without reason that I was a scarecrow! Get behind me! - And he pulled his hat on his head, spread his arms wide and took on the appearance of a real scarecrow.
The crows were confused and discordantly spun in the air. But the leader of the pack croaked hoarsely:
- What are you afraid of? Scarecrow stuffed with straw! Now I'll ask him!

And the leader wanted to sit on the Scarecrow's head, but he caught him by the wing and instantly twisted his neck. Another crow rushed after her, and the Scarecrow twisted her neck too. The evil Bastinda had forty ravenous crows, and the brave Scarecrow twisted their necks and threw them into a heap.

The travelers thanked the Scarecrow for his resourcefulness and again moved east.
When Bastinda saw that her faithful crows were lying on the ground in a dead heap, the travelers fearlessly go forward, she was seized by both anger and fear.

">

The travelers said goodbye, and he closed the gates of the Emerald City behind them. The Emerald City is gone. The possessions of the one-eyed Bastinda appeared, the sorceress herself stood on the purple balcony and looked through binoculars. Seeing something, she blew her whistle furiously. Pitifully blinking inhabitants of the Purple Country began to gather around - blinkers.

BASTIND. A little girl has brazenly entered my country! She has four companions with her. Catch them all and tear them to shreds!
ONE OF THE WINNERS (timidly). Why doesn't Bastinda want to take them as slaves?
BASTIND. The girl is weak. Her companions cannot work: one is stuffed with straw, the other is made of iron. With them is a lion and an incomprehensible beast, from which there is also nothing to be expected. There they are! The aliens are near! Arm yourself!!! Whoever disobeys my command will not escape death himself.

The winks blinked pitifully, and tears rolled from their eyes, but they did not dare to disobey the order of their mistress and began to search for weapons. But since they never had to fight, they armed themselves with a saucepan, some with a frying pan, some with a flower pot, and some loudly clapped children's crackers. At that moment, Ellie and her friends appeared.

BASTINDA (she gnashed her teeth and for a long time could not utter a word from anger). (And then she screamed with all her might). Beat them to death! Hurry! Hurry!

The Winkies cautiously approached their friends, hiding behind each other, pushing each other and blinking and squinting fearfully. The Cowardly Lion laughed.

COALY LION. With these, the battle will not be long!

He stepped forward, opened his huge mouth, and roared so that the Winkies dropped their pots and pans and baby crackers and scattered in all directions. Bastinda jumped up in anger, took out a golden hat, put it on her head and began to conjure.

BASTIND. Bambara, chufara, loriki, eriki, pickup, trikapu, skoriki, moriki! Appear before me flying monkeys!

And the sky darkened with a flock of flying monkeys that flew towards Bastinda's palace on their mighty wings. And their leader stood before Bastinda.

THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. Lady of the Golden Hat! You called us for the third and last time! What would you like to do?
BASTIND. Attack the foreigners who have entered my country and destroy all but the Lion! I'll harness him to my carriage!

Ellie and her friends backed away and took to their heels. And now, in the distance, the shadows of two monkeys flashed, which carried the Scarecrow and the Woodcutter. The Cowardly Lion is behind bars. Ellie, hugging Totoshka, prepared for death. The leader of the flying monkeys himself rushed at her, but then he saw silver shoes on Ellie's feet and froze.

THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. The girl must not be touched! It's a fairy!

He snatched Toto from Ellie's hands and threw him into the cage, and dragged Ellie by the hand to Bastinda.

BASTIND. You didn't follow my order!
THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. We smashed the iron man and gutted the scarecrow, caught the Lion and put him behind bars. But we could not touch the girl with a finger: you yourself know what misfortunes threaten the one who offends the owner of silver shoes.
BASTIND. Those are Gingema's shoes! So Gingema is dead...
THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. Do with the girl what you want! Farewell forever!

The leader fled. Frightened winks were slowly peeking out from everywhere. Bastinda approached Ellie.

BASTIND. Hey! If you don't work well, I'll beat you with a big stick and put you in a dark basement where rats are big greedy rats! - they will eat you and gnaw your tender bones! Hee hee hee! You will clean pots, pans and pans, wash the floor and heat the stove! My cook needs help for a long time! Hey winks! Take the girl to the kitchen! (The winks took away the crying Ellie, and Bastinda went to the cage with the Lion). Leo, I will harness you to the carriage so that the blinkers say: “Look how powerful our sovereign Bastinda is - she even managed to harness a lion!”
COALY LION. I will eat you!
BASTINDA (follows Ellie) The girl doesn't seem to know anything about the mysterious power of the slippers. If I succeed in getting them, I will become more powerful than before.

Bastinda whistled. At her call, two blinkers came, and she signaled them to hide in ambush. Ellie appeared with a bowl in which there was food, and quietly crept to the cage where Lev and Toto were sitting.

ELLIE. I'll bring water now!

While Ellie ran for water, Bastinda stretched the rope, the ends of which were held by frightened winks. Ellie returned with a pitcher, but she tripped on a rope and fell. The slipper fell off, Bastinda grabbed it.

BASTIND. Hee hee hee! And I have a shoe! I'll take the second one off you too! And only then, be calm, I will avenge you for Gingem!

Bastinda went to Ellie, who, out of surprise, grabbed a jug and doused Bastinda with water.

BASTIND. What have you done! 'Cause I'm growing up now! For five hundred years I did not wash my face, did not brush my teeth, did not touch the water with my finger, because I was predicted to die from water, and now my end has come!
ELLIE. I'm sorry ma'am, but it's your own fault...

A cloud of steam enveloped Bastinda, and in a minute all that was left of her was a wet spot, an umbrella, a bunch of keys, and a silver slipper.

WINKING. Bastinda is no more!
TOTOSHKA. Ha ha ha! It turns out that Bastinda was no stronger than those snowmen that our boys make in the winter in Kansas!

Winkers came running, they danced for joy and winked at each other. Ellie opened the cage. And Totoshka immediately rushed off somewhere.

ALLY (winks). You are free! I ask you to help find our friends! The flying monkeys said they smashed the Tin Woodman and gutted the Scarecrow!
SOMEONE OF THE WINKINS. Our country has long been famous for its wonderful watchmakers, jewelers, mechanics and tailors. We will find the friends of the owner of the silver slippers and fix them!

Toto brought Bastinda's golden cap in his teeth. Ellie put it on her head, and she was greeted with joy by the inhabitants of the Blue Country, who had already dragged the Scarecrow and the Woodcutter. Some blinkers played cheerful music in honor of the victory over Bastinda, others, dancing, sewed the Scarecrow together, and still others, dancing, adjusted the Tin Woodman. And so they parted, and Ellie saw her friends whole and unharmed.

SCARE. Prsht ... frsht ... stsh ... prybry ... khrybry ... I Scarecrow brave! I'm back with Ellie!

Three women from the Purple Country approached the Tin Woodman.

FIRST. Iron Man! Stay with us! We are so helpless and timid. We need a sovereign who could protect us from enemies.
SECOND. Suddenly, some evil sorceress will attack us and enslave us again! (At the mere thought of the evil sorceress, the blinkers howled in horror.)
THIRD (addressing everyone). Think for yourself how convenient such a ruler is: he does not eat, does not drink and, therefore, will not burden us with taxes. And if it gets hurt in a battle with enemies, we can fix it: we already have experience.
TIN WOODMAN. Now I can't leave Ellie. And I need to get a heart in the Emerald City. But then... I'll think about it, and maybe I'll get back to you.
ELLIE. We have a difficult road ahead of us.
SOMEONE OF THE WINKINS. What can a man with a golden hat on his head be sad about? ELLIE (she took off her hat and began to read the words written on the lining). Bambara, chufara, loriki, eriki, pickup, trikapu, skoriki, moriki… Appear before me, flying monkeys!

The Winkers parted apprehensively, and the Leader of the Flying Monkeys appeared in front of Ellie.

THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. What do you order, mistress of the golden cap?
ELLIE (bravely). Take us to the Emerald City!
THE LEADER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS. Will be done!

He bowed, and Ellie and her friends followed him to where the pack was waiting for them. And when the shadows of the flying monkeys flashed in the sky, the blinkers saw them off with cries of welcome.
