Education abroad for Kazakhstanis. Master's Degree Abroad: A Selection of Free Programs for Kazakhstanis

What is education in China and why is it worth studying here? Do you know that the policy of the PRC takes the process of educating the new rising generation very seriously. The state cares about the growing resource and its future, therefore all universities are controlled by the state and teach according to strictly established and controlled training programs.

The quality of education in China is valued all over the world. This is easy to explain - the point is that there is not a single private institution in the PRC. All educational institutions are supervised by the government, and the curriculum of all educational institutions is standardized and strictly controlled by the government. Most universities have a long history of teaching, a serious research team, recognized scientists in their field, and educational programs that are quoted all over the world. Every year, the majority of students who go to China in the hope of getting the best education in the world is growing, and you have a chance to be among them too.

Western education

In recent years, it has become possible in the PRC to receive a Western-style education after graduation. That is, you get 2 diplomas at once - a Chinese-style diploma and a diploma from a Western partner university. This is a wonderful way out for those who dreamed of a Western education, but because it is expensive, it is not available to everyone. The cost of education, living in China is more affordable than in the EU, England and America, and you will eventually receive a Western-style diploma.

Of course, the possibilities are not limited to these programs. There are many other scholarships, projects, grants in various specialties. Seek, study, dare and learn!

A huge number of countries and universities around the world provide an opportunity to receive a grant or scholarship for study. Of course, most often this is a proposal with small (sometimes incredible) “buts”. Therefore, first of all, you should pay attention to your own compliance with all the requirements of a particular program. And take into account an important fact - it is not at all necessary that all your expenses (study, accommodation, meals) will be fully covered.

We decided to collect everything that is known about the most popular programs that Kazakhstanis can study for free.

Erasmus Mundus

So, for those who are the least determined - what to choose? - there is a European program Erasmus Mundus, which annually allows you to get a master's or doctoral degree in universities throughout Europe. The duration is determined by the specific program, but training in several countries will be a prerequisite. That is, each program is taught at several universities in Europe at once, for example: in Spain, Belgium, Sweden and France. During the period of study, you must unlearn at least two countries. The amount of the grant depends again on the specific program. But the real benefit is that everyone has the right to participate and try their luck. You are also eligible to apply to any three programs at the same time.

Documents are accepted from October to December of the current year, and studies start in September of the next.

There are also Master's scholarship programs offered by individual countries. In the US it's Fulbright, in the UK it's Chevening.

Fulbright

The American Fulbright program allows you to become a master in almost any field, with the exception of medicine. The scholarship fully covers tuition costs, also provides the candidate with a monthly stipend, pays for study material and pays for a round-trip ticket. Since the prospect is very tempting, there are a number of “buts”: the first is that the candidate must have at least two years of work experience, the second condition is that the candidate has not previously studied at universities in the United States. Also, in order to successfully receive a Fulbright grant, participants need to obtain TOEFL and GRE / GMAT certificates, but it is not necessary to have a certificate when applying directly, it is enough to register for the exam.

Chevening

And if your dream is to study in the "homeland" of Harry Potter, then there is the Chevening program for this. Sponsored by the UK Government, the program also covers tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend plus travel expenses. The requirements for candidates are the same as for the Fulbright program, with the exception of the required IELTS certificate (6.5 overall score) and a small repatriation clause no later than two years after the end of the program. The range of study areas includes natural sciences, political science, journalism, economics, public administration, climate change and other areas.

If the process of applying and participating in these scholarship programs seems complicated, do not forget that there is another option - some foreign universities offer discounts/scholarships for their programs.

The basis of a grant in any country is language proficiency, and not English, but related directly to the country of study itself. Yes, there is an opportunity to study in English in almost every country, but in this case it can be more difficult to get a scholarship.
