We don't want to scream anymore. English folk songs - Chukovsky K.I.

In this article, I will open for you basic rules and step-by-step instructions for the Zentangle drawing process. You will learn how to draw balls from start to finish, what you will need to get started in this exciting process, and we will also look together new videos of Zentangle creation master classes.

Although the Zentangle designs are all very different, they usually start the same way and are repeated using the same method: one contact with the paper ( ed. note: the founders call it a "hit") is a single line drawn on paper. Wonderful people who are fond of the Zentangle style of drawing call it " string». Line forms the structure of the picture.

For this workshop, a step-by-step Zentangle drawing tutorial, we are going to proceed in the traditional way in the classical understanding of drawing Zentangle tiles. To get started, don't forget to bring all the necessary funds. Plain paper is fine and ideal for zendoodling (zendoodling). What will you draw?

For the first time, almost everything is suitable: gel pastes, simple ballpoint pens, fountain pens, ink, felt-tip pens, markers, liners - for the main drawing of Zentangle ball patterns; as well as: graphite, charcoal, pencils - to create a shading effect and an eraser. It is advisable to use white paper and black painting tools to create contrast and get a beautiful Zentangle tile in its classic sense.

Instruction:

Step 1 The borders or shores of your Zendoodle tiles.

Take tiles(a piece of paper about 9 * 9 cm) and put four dots with a pencil, one in each corner. You don't have to be precise about this, in other words, don't measure the same distances with a ruler - it's not needed here. Next, connect the dots with wavy jagged lines. You can even add loops to the lines, but this is not required.

Use your pencils marked "H" (hard, which will make the lines lighter and thinner). In the illustration, a pencil marked “B” (soft, the color is richer and brighter) was used in order to display the result when scanning, and you could see everything clearly.

Once you have connected a whole series of lines, you can do without borders at all. Some people like to have the whole tile filled. For beginners in Zentangle painting, it is best to follow this step. Then you decide which one you like best.

2 Step two. Draw curves for your Zentangle tile.

This is undoubtedly an important move, which further decides how many types of pattern and tangles you can draw. Place the tip of your pencil on one edge of the border and draw a random curved line. You can see in the illustration how the used inverted "V" and written "S" looks like.

You can make your curve more or less complex in structure. It's a good idea to practice drawing curves in magazines and newspapers around the edges. Some people draw the curve for the ball with their eyes closed, concentrating to the utmost on imagery and meditation.

Continue to use a light pencil in this step as well, drawing features that are barely visible to the eye.

Step 3 The beginning of Tangling (Tangling)entanglement.

Of course, the most interesting step is where your personal imagination and fantasy are given space. Because in this step we are starting to fill in the sections of the ligaments with the best black pen you have. Below you will be given simple patterns to fill in for beginner Zentangle artists.

I have included a few examples below, and you can find many unique and interesting examples on my website. Also you will find ideas all over the world for creating your own Zentangle patterns. To fill in the bundles and draw your Zentangle tile. This is where the relaxing effect of the practice begins: frequent repetition of drawing small signs on paper allows you to enter into a meditative state. Put on relaxing tunes or meditation music and you'll be far away.

The correct tile is obtained if you want to hold and rotate it around, and this is also fine. A true Zentangle can be viewed in any way, from any angle, and the ball will always look good.

But do not forget that there are also Zentangle-style fine art objects that are slightly different from classic tiles. Drawings can be all sorts of intricate shapes, such as hearts, birds, hands, faces - anything.

Simple Tangles (tangles), patterns for filling bundles of Zentangle tiles:

Step 4 Removing curves.

Complete all sections as you wish. You can leave as much empty space as you like. Now it's time to erase the pencil lines drawn at the beginning - in steps 1 and 2.

Step 5 Shading.

I like this part the best. It's pretty easy to add shading to your drawing. Turn it on while you look at it the way you like it best. Then decide which way the light leads to it. Top left or top right usually looks and works well.

Start shading the sides of your clew sections to make them look three dimensional. Shadows under "Leaves" and "Pebbles". You can always delete, erase them with an eraser if you don't like it.

Also try feathering to soften the shadow in different places. And don't forget to subscribe and put the date of your work. It's really fun to go back to your notebook to the home pages after a while of Zentangle practice and see how your skills develop over time.

So we finished work on your first Zentangle tile. I hope you are satisfied. Perhaps you have a question:

Should Zentangles always be black and white?

Yes and no

Purists and adherents of the classical Zentangle method of drawing will answer: "Yes!" - as they do. However, Zias (Zias - Zentangle Inspired Art) - a community of artists and amateurs who practice abstract Zentangle painting, will laugh and say: "Of course not."

Try, experiment, add color to your beautiful creations using pencils, watercolors, acrylics, gouache... create and use whatever you like and inspire you.

Kittens meowed:
"We're tired of meowing!
We want, like pigs,
Grunt!"

And behind them and ducklings:
"We don't want to scream anymore!
We want, like frogs,
Croak!"

The pigs meowed:
Meow meow!

The cats grunted:
Oink oink oink!

The ducks croaked:
Kwa, kwa, kwa!

The hens quacked:
Quack, quack, quack!

Sparrow galloped
And mooed like a cow:
Moo!

A bear came running
And let's roar:
Ku-ka-re-ku!

Only hare
There was a good boy:
Didn't meow
And did not grunt -
Lying under the cabbage
babbled like a hare
And foolish little animals
Persuaded:

"Who is ordered to chirp -
Don't purr!
Who is commanded to purr -
Don't tweet!
Do not be a crow cow
Do not fly frogs under the cloud!"

But funny animals -
Pigs, bear cubs -
They are more naughty than before,
The hare does not want to listen.
The fish are walking across the field,
Toads fly across the sky

The mice caught the cat
They put me in a mousetrap.

And the chanterelles
They took the matches
Let's go to the blue sea
The blue sea was lit.

The sea is on fire
A whale ran out of the sea:
"Hey firefighters, run!
Help, help!"

Long, long crocodile
The blue sea extinguished
Pies and pancakes
And dried mushrooms.

Two chickens came running
Watered from a barrel.

Two ruffs sailed
Watered from a bucket.

The frogs came running
Watered from a tub.

Extinguish, extinguish - do not extinguish,
Filled - not flooded.

Here comes the butterfly
Waving wings,
The sea began to fade -
And it went out.

The animals are happy!
Laughed and sang
Ears clapped,
They stomped their feet.

The geese started again
Shout like a goose:
Ha-ha-ha!

The cats purred:
Mur-mur-mur!

The birds chirped:
Chick-chirp!

The horses neighed:
And-and-and!

Flies buzzed:
W-w-w!

The frogs are croaking:
Qua-qua-qua!

And the ducklings quack:
Quack-quack-quack!

Piglets grunt:
Oink oink oink!

Murochka is cradled
my dear:
Baiushki bye!
Baiushki bye!
