“Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. This is all you, Revan, but between this, you are nothing. In the end you will belong neither to light nor to darkness. You will always be alone!
- Darth Malak

It is not known exactly where he was born Revan. Someone says that he was born outside the territories of the Outer Rim, but nothing is known about his world and parents. But wherever Revan was born, the Jedi found him and accepted him into their academy. Revan had many teachers, but the very first was Kreia, who subsequently switched to the dark side of the force. According to Diisra Luur Jada, Revan trained on Dantooine, but was also substituted on Coruscant. Many Jedi saw Revan's pursuit of knowledge from an early age. He wanted more than the Jedi could give him. Master Vrook Lamar would later say that Revan was too eager to know more about the Force and may have sought knowledge in the ancient "secrets of the Sith." In general, whatever one may say, Revan turned out to be a good Jedi, and besides, he paid a lot of attention to the Force Link, so by the end of his training he knew about them perfectly.

Revan's turning point occurred during the Mandalorian Wars, although, in my opinion, he was plotting to leave the order even before the war. Revan, against the wishes of the Jedi Council, gathered followers and headed to the Mandalorian front. During the war, Revan gained fame as a competent commander and an unsurpassed warrior. Many Jedi were killed in this war, but the Republic won and it seemed that the long-awaited peace had come, but... Revan invaded the Republic with a huge fleet, and a new war began; war of Light and Darkness. They say that Revan turned to the dark side not only because of his pride and desire to gain power. The essence of the problem lay elsewhere: during the Mandalorian Wars, Revan visited Malachor V, which the Mandalorians themselves called their curse. Having visited this planet, the Jedi Knight learned about the existence of the “True Sith” and in order to stop this evil, he himself knew the Darkness...

Darth Revan was now the name given to the former savior of the Republic, and now its destroyer. It seemed that the newly minted Sith Lord had an endless amount of resources, his fleet grew every day, and nothing could stop Revan. We later learn that he used the power of the Star Forge to create a huge fleet. It can be noted that Darth Revan used the Forge only to build a fleet and did not succumb to its dark side, unlike Darth Malak, his “faithful” student. It seems that the Dark Lord must want to gain unlimited power over everyone, but in reality he wanted to unite the galaxy in the face of a terrible enemy... Unfortunately or fortunately, his plans were not destined to come true. The young Jedi Bastila Shan entered the battle arena with her unique ability “Battle Meditation”. With her help, Bastila could raise the morale of her allies and disorganize her enemies. But even this did not help the Republic win the war. Then, in 3,957 BBY, a small group of Jedi led by Bastila landed on Darth Revan's flagship in the hope of capturing the Dark Lord. Revan didn't seem worried at that moment, as if he knew this was going to happen. A few seconds later, the sound of a shot was heard: Darth Malak ordered a shot at the flagship's bridge, thereby deciding to kill his teacher. The shot turned out to be accurate - the bridge was blown to smithereens, Darth Revan was more dead than alive. Bastila managed to bind herself by force to Revan and prevent him from dying. Then he was brought to the academy on Dantooine and his whole life was rewritten...

I think everyone knows the rest of the story. Darth Revan began to study with the Jedi again, not even suspecting that several months ago he wanted to take over the Republic. Revan will visit many worlds before he realizes who he is. Revan may have lost his memory, but the Power remained with him, and to some extent it even increased. The game, as everyone knows, has two endings: one for the good, the other for the bad. So, in this biography, Revan remained on the light side. After defeating his former student Darth Malok, Revan went to the edge of the galaxy, taking no one with him, as he feared for their lives. He remembered that threat - ancient, embittered - absolute evil. And in order to prevent the return of the “True Sith”, he left the Republic and his friends.

Revan, also known as the Revanchist and Prodigal Knight, was a legendary Jedi of the Old Sith Wars, Supreme Commander of the Galactic Republic during the Mandalorian Wars, and Dark Lord of the third Sith Empire.

Revan was born around 3994 BBY and was accepted into the Jedi Order as a child. He was trained by many experienced Jedi Masters, and they all noted the talent of the ambitious Padawan. During the Mandalorian Wars, Revan, contrary to the decision of the Jedi Council, openly opposed the invaders and, together with his friend Malak, led the movement of revanchism. Under the command of Revan and Malak, the Republic forces defeated the Neo-Crusaders, after which the two Knights traveled to the Unknown Regions in search of the Sith Empire behind the Mandalorian invasion. They managed to discover the capital of the Empire, where the Jedi challenged the Sith Emperor, but were defeated and became his puppets for some time.

Freed from the Emperor's influence, Darth Revan and Darth Malak founded their own Empire, after which Revan set out to conquer and reform the Republic so that it could withstand the coming war against the threat from the Unknown Regions. Thanks to the Rakatan Star Forge, Revan was able to secretly build a huge fleet and a year later turned enemy of the Republic. At the height of the war, Revan was betrayed by Malak and captured by the Jedi. The Order's High Council erased the Sith Lord's memories and sent him to the front as an ordinary soldier, serving under the command of the knight Bastila Shan. However, soon the memories of the search for the Forge began to return to Revan, and the Council decided to train him again as a Jedi, since only he could help the Republic find the mysterious Sith weapon. Guided by shared visions of the Star Maps with Bastila, Revan eventually rediscovered the Forge, located in the Lechon system. During the Battle of Rakata Prime, he boarded the station and defeated Malak, after which the Sith Forge armada was destroyed by the Republic fleet.

At the end of the war, Revan again went in search of the revived Empire of the pureblood Sith, but they found the Jedi earlier: on the planet Nathema, Revan was captured by Darth Nyriss and Lord Scourge. He spent four years imprisoned on Dromund Kaas until he was freed by his old friend Meetra Surik. Together with Surik and Scourge, who joined the Jedi, Revan again tried to kill the Emperor and again failed due to Scourge's betrayal. For the next three hundred years, Revan remained in stasis in a Sith prison, but all this time he fought the Emperor and quietly influenced his consciousness, convincing him to postpone the war with the Republic.

In 3642 BBY, after the Great Galactic War between the Republic and the Empire, Revan was released from prison by the Republicans, after which he went to the Rakatan Factory station, where he began creating an army of droids to personally confront the Sith Empire. Having learned of Revan's plans, the Sith sent a strike force to the Factory, which defeated the Jedi. However, shortly before Revan's death, his consciousness was divided, and only the “light” side of his personality merged with the Force. Obsessed with the idea of the complete destruction of the Emperor, the "dark" Revan created an army of his fanatical followers and went to Yavin IV with the goal of returning Vitiate's spirit to his physical body, and then putting an end to him forever. The Republic and Sith Empire were forced to join forces to stop the maddened Revan. He was defeated in the battle on Yavin, after which he reunited with his “light” side.

The legacy of Darth Revan had a huge impact on the Sith Order, in particular on Darth Bane, inspiring him to create his Rule of Two

Biography:

The man later known as Revan was born around 3994 BBY, according to some accounts, on an Outer Rim planet. As a child, he was discovered by the Jedi and accepted into the Order. Revan's first mentor was a Jedi Master named Kreia, known within the Order for her controversial teachings about the nature of the Force. During his training, Revan changed many teachers, among whom were masters Zhar Lestin and Dorak, members of the Dantooine Jedi Council. They all noted his insatiable thirst for knowledge, but while Masters Zhar Lestin and Vandar Tokeir approved of the zeal of the gifted Padawan and had high hopes for him, Master Vrook Lamar feared that Revan would follow in the footsteps of the knights Freedon Nadd and Exar Kun, who chose the path The dark side. One way or another, Revan very quickly achieved the rank of Jedi Knight at the same time as his friend, Padawan Alec Squinquargasimus.

Mandalorian Wars (3963 - 3960 BBY)

Revanchist

Who I am does not matter, what matters is my messageRevan

In 3964 BBY, Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders invaded Republic territories in the Outer Rim, but the Jedi Council declared their refusal to enter the war. The only Knight to openly oppose the Council's decision was Revan, who tried to convince the Jedi of the significance of the Mandalorian threat. Revan's protest attracted the attention of Republic media, who dubbed him the "lone Jedi Crusader". However, Revan himself by that time enjoyed considerable respect in the Order, and his call found a response among many young knights and Padawans. Alec was the first to openly support Revan, and he convinced many other Jedi to join the nascent “crusade” against the Mandalorians.

Against the wishes of the Jedi Council, Revan left Coruscant and went to the front lines for reconnaissance, joining the ranks of his supporters along the way. After visiting Taris, where Revan unsuccessfully tried to win over the Jedi Tower masters led by Lucien Dray to his side, he left most of his followers on Suurj while he went to investigate the activities of the Mandalorians on Onderonei Dxun. In Revan's absence, his "disciples" were captured by the Mandalorians, angering the Jedi Council. When Revan returned to Coruscant with disturbing news from the front, the masters only once again condemned his initiative and sent him on a mission to rescue captured knights and Padawans.

Revan appears before the Jedi Council.

Ultimately, Revan's captured "disciples" fled Flashpoint along with Padawan Zane Carrick, after which Revan continued his campaign against the Mandalorians, despite the Council's demands. His revanchism movement gained even more support with the full-scale Mandalorian invasion of Republic space. The media elevated the Revanchist to the savior of the Republic, pitting him against the inactive Jedi Council and thereby deepening the schism in the Order, although they initially did not consider him seriously. In just a year, Revan achieved considerable success: by 3963 BBY, the revanchists had already become a force to be reckoned with by other participants in the war. Arkanian tycoon Arko Adasca even invited them to an auction for the sale of exogorth superweapons as a third party along with the Republic and the Mandalorians. Revan himself could not attend the auction, but his followers had a vision of the importance of the exogorths in the war, so he sent Alec to negotiate on his behalf. However, the deal was ruined by Zane Carrick, and no one got the exogorths that got out of control.

Today is Defender of the Fatherland Day and I will take my cotton patriotic photo album from the dusty shelf.
This is what I looked like in the fall of 1988, before being drafted into the orderly ranks of the Soviet Army

We, conscripts, were invited to the military registration and enlistment office and were given instructions on how to appear at the conscription point. In particular, you need to have a short, but not bald, haircut. Those who came as bald as a billiard ball were threatened with a submarine fleet and three years of service. As a result, inspired by the instructions we received, we friends got together and cut each other’s hair, saving on the cost of a hairdresser. And the funds thus freed were spent on beer.

This is what happened in the end. By the way, behind my back you can see the light switch I designed. It has a designer green backlight, using a seamless indicator from the factory, and double switching on of one lamp - at full intensity and at half power, using a D226 diode and a smoothing capacitor.

And this is already in the army, I served for more than a year. I'm in the middle, to the left and right are my army colleagues. One is from Siberia, the other is from Western Ukraine.

As you can see, I was no stranger to culture - while on leave, I once even went to the Oktyabrsky KZ. I just don’t remember at all what for. The photo was taken on color slide film, which was a fucking luxury at that time.

The tendency to stay away from the authorities and closer to the place of cooking, or better yet, to lead this process, appeared in me back in those years. In this case, we secretly cook the chicken stolen from the neighboring part on a blowtorch with a special nozzle. A Ukrainian stole it; no one could have done it better than him - he had extensive practice in the village of turning off the heads of chickens. The recipe and cooking were already behind me. As I remember now, it was something like chakhokhbili.

During my years of service, I also visited Boryspil and Fergana, but I don’t have scanned photos on my computer.

To all men and women who wore and are wearing shoulder straps for the glory of our Motherland - happy Defender of the Fatherland Day, hurray!

« Three years ago, Revan and Malak returned at the head of a massive invasion fleet. Revan took the title of Sith Lord; hero who became an invader». – Master Dorak.

Founded by the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Revan and his apprentice Darth Malak, the Sith Empire was an organization of the dark side of the Force and in direct opposition to the Galactic Republic, as well as their protectors the Jedi. Using veteran fighters and many newly converted Jedi as the main striking force, and having an unlimited fleet at its source, the empire almost managed to conquer the Republic. However, after Revan's return to the light and his murder of Darth Malak's former student, the state split into separate factions and completely dissolved 3951 years before the Battle of Yavin.

Prerequisites for creating an empire

« We found something that changed us». – Revan tries to remember the past.

Towards the end of the Mandalorian Wars, the commander of a group of Republic troops, Revan, discovered an ancient Sith academy on. Having fallen under the influence of the dark side, Revan also found out that the Sith state, which died a thousand years ago, still exists outside of the studied space and continues to pose a threat to. Using the academy's secrets and the planet's magnetic energy, Revan seduced many Jedi to his side. The final battle of the Mandalorian Wars broke out in orbit around Malachor V, and after the Republic's crushing victory and the end of the war, Revan and Malak led the remnants of their fleet into the Unknown Regions under the pretext of tracking others. They had not returned or sent any word of their whereabouts to the Republic, and it feared the loss of its heroes in a tragic disaster.

Raid on the Emperor and search for the Star Forge

In fact, Revan and Malak found what they were looking for: a Sith empire ruled by a mysterious emperor whose palace was located in the capital on Dromund Kaas. Even before this event, Revan and Malak were seduced by the teachings of the Sith, and the Emperor easily conquered their minds with his will. After accepting them into the Sith culture and giving them the title "Darth", the Emperor sent both of them back to the Republic, ordering them to organize an attack on it and take control of it. Darth Revan and Darth Malak carried out the order, but were strong enough to break away from the Emperor's subordination, be guided by their own goals in the war and found their own empire. Finding himself in an uncharted system, Darth Revan proclaimed himself Lord of the Sith and announced the creation of a new empire, most likely to resist the Emperor and his armada. Following the traditions of the ancient Sith, Revan took his friend Malak as his student.

The Star Forge was powered by the energy of the Dark Side of the Force itself and was capable of producing an almost infinite number of ships of different types and structures. In Revan's hands, the Forge became the heart of the empire's military production. A year after their disappearance, having created a huge fleet with the help of the Forge, calling themselves the Sith, Revan and Malak returned to known space to begin their invasion of the galaxy. Former heroes became conquerors, and under the flag of the empire they went on the offensive against the unsuspecting Republic. This conflict was later called the Jedi Civil War.

Jedi Civil War

« After Malachor, after the Mandalorian Wars, the teachings of the Sith began to spread. We knew where our loyalties were - the Jedi who came to help us, and not those who were idle on Dantooine and Coruscant». – Atton Rand.

The first blow fell on the planet Foerost. Taking their cue from Exar Kun, the previous Sith Lord who had attacked the Republic, the Sith attacked the shipyards on Foerost and captured many Republic ships. Revan and Malak also visited Korriban, where the remains of the Brotherhood of the Sith of the same Exar Kun were located, and annexed it to their empire. Growing with infrastructure and concluding alliances with powerful corporations such as Czerka, the empire moved across the galaxy, capturing more and more worlds. Few people remained aloof from this war, except that Manaan, being the source of the healing substance kolto, was able not to join either side, supplying its product to both the Republic and the Sith. However, b O The majority of the Manaan government later swayed to the Republican side.

The bombing, carried out by Sith Admiral Saul Karath, was an event that made Darth Revan's empire even more fearful. There was another reason why some worlds did not resist during the Empire's invasion. Also, the destruction of millions of innocent Telosians strengthened Saul Karath's position as an admiral. Having captured the home worlds and the Lanniks, Revan did not stop there, and soon the Sith owned about thirty percent of the territory of the Republic. However, their enemy's main trump card was still the Jedi, who wasted no time. Padawan by name significantly increased the chances of the Republic and allowed several important victories to be achieved, preventing the triumph of the Sith.

The Betrayal of Darth Malak

« You taught me the Sith code of honor: the strongest must rule if we are all to survive! You knew that one day I would challenge you to a duel, but you underestimated me. I acted sooner than you expected, and I seized the Sith throne with one precise blow!». – Malak to the former teacher.

This could not continue for long, and then the Jedi took a desperate step. Having lured Revan's flagship into a trap, a group of Jedi under the command of Bastila Shan infiltrated the Sith Lord's ship. By that time, Revan's student Darth Malak decided to betray his teacher. He attacked Revan's flagship, hoping to destroy all enemies with one blow, but the Jedi survived and were able to pull the mortally wounded Sith Lord from the ship. Having assumed the mantle of ruler, Darth Malak found himself an apprentice and continued his campaign of conquest.

One order - and the empire has a new leader

And although the Jedi operation was successful, the target was captured alive, albeit in a coma, the result was not in favor of the Republic. Unlike the former teacher, who preferred the careful capture of key objects of the Republic, Malak chose more brutal tactics - total destruction and bloodbath. Not being a tactical genius, the new Sith Lord, having an unlimited source of fleet at his disposal, relied on brute force. Since it was Malak who oversaw the bombardment of Telos IV, he was simply repeating his act on a larger scale - a series of massacres demonstrating the empire's resolve. The campaign of conquest was thwarted by Republic forces aided by the Jedi Order. Since Bastila Shan continued to use combat meditation in battles with the enemy, she remained almost the only hope of the Republic. For this reason, Malak began hunting for the girl, planning to either capture her and win her over to the side of the Sith, or destroy her and deprive the Jedi of their trump card.

Upon learning that Bastila Shan was aboard a cruiser called the Endar Spire, which in turn was based in orbit of an ecumenopolis planet, Malak ordered an immediate attack on the ship. The assault was led by Malak's apprentice and right-hand man, Darth Bandon. Neither he nor Malak knew that Revan, who had survived a year ago, had lost his memory and, disguised as a soldier, under the wing of Bastila Shan was also located on the “Spire of Endar”. The former Sith Lord did not remember anything, but he managed to escape from the ship, landing in an escape capsule in orbit of Taris. The target of the operation, Bastila, managed to do the same thing a moment earlier, and the Endar Spire was destroyed. The Sith easily crushed the Republican resistance, occupied the planet and imposed quarantine. Now not a single citizen could leave Taris: not only were platoons of soldiers in all the streets of the city searching for Bastila, but also automatic systems were placed in orbit that destroyed anyone who did not have identification codes.

The moment Revan and Republic soldier Carth Onasi were the first to discover and rescue Bastila, Malak lost patience and ordered the destruction of the planet's entire surface. The admiral, having obeyed, noted that they needed time to evacuate all the soldiers from the surface, as well as to build a fleet. During this same time, the Sith embassy on Taris was attacked by Revan and his team, who planned to steal the orbital codes necessary for safe departure from the planet. The bombing, unexpected for the Tarisians, destroyed the entire ecumenopolis, but Revan and his companions managed to escape from the planet on the stolen freighter Ebon Hawk. Having dealt with a squadron of Sith fighters along the way, the fugitives set off through hyperspace. Bastila again eluded Malak, but from a surviving witness, the mercenary Kalo Nord, he learned that one of the girl’s companions was none other than Revan. The capture of Bastila has become even more important; Malak planned to use Kalo Nord and several groups of Dark Jedi, promising them a huge reward for destroying Bastila. Darth Bandon also carried out the search. Meanwhile, Revan and his team searched for something that could lead them to the mysterious Star Forge, which was in fact the main military factory of the Sith.

Bandon managed to track down Revan, but the Sith was defeated and killed in a lightsaber fight. Darth Malak at this time carried out a daring attack on Dantooine. It was believed that the planet was fairly well fortified, and the presence of a Jedi enclave could deter enemies. Malak proved the opposite by ordering Karat to carry out a series of effective bombardments of the planet's surface, destroying the enclave and almost all the Jedi on Dantooine, including many of the Order's masters. And although the Jedi, thanks to the Force, knew about the attack, they could not do anything. Dantooine was badly damaged after the bombing; the planet was instantly occupied by Sith troops. Many surviving innocent settlers were arrested and executed for no reason. These actions developed great hatred, oddly enough, not for the invaders, but for the Jedi - it was them that the Dantooines considered them the source of all their troubles.

After the attack on Dantooine, Malak managed to capture the Ebon Hawk and its crew. They were placed on Malak's flagship, the Leviathan, and while Malak himself hurried to the ship, Saul informed the captives of the destruction of Dantooine. Unfortunately, Revan, Bastila and Carth managed to escape from the cages, and then fought their way to the bridge of the Leviathan and destroyed Saul. A few steps before the hangar, Malak met Revan and his friends and told the former teacher the terrible truth, revealing his identity. Bastila Shan sacrificed herself so that Revan and Carth could escape, which they did by escaping from the Leviathan on the Hawk along with the rest of the crew. But Malak still achieved his goal - he captured Bastila Shan and began to win her over to his side. Soon, with the help of torture, he succeeded, and Bastila became the new disciple of the dark lord.

Fall of the Empire

« The galaxy was at the feet of Lord Revan, he could make it strong. At the height of his power, he left this place... fled this galaxy. A chance to heal this crippled galaxy and he turned away». – Darth Sion.

When Revan figured out the location of the Star Forge, he arrived in the Lekhon system, where the station was located. But the Ebon Hawk was caught in a powerful gravitational field and was forced to make an emergency landing on the planet. At the top of the Temple of the Ancients, an ancient Rakatan structure, Bastila Shan, seduced to the Dark Side, was waiting for him. She planned to return Revan to the Sith empire, appealed to his former personality, but he, even who loved her, chose the light. Defeated in the battle, Bastila fled to the Star Forge, and Revan followed her. At this time, the Republic fleet arrived and engaged the Sith ships. Having broken through a large number of Sith foot soldiers, dark Jedi and combat Forges, Revan met his beloved again. He managed to defeat her and return her to the Light Side of the Force, and then convince her that it was necessary to use her against the Sith troops.

Malak realized that his former teacher was stronger than before. All attempts by the Sith Lord to stop Revan failed. Former friends, the hope of the Republic and the ruler of the Sith Empire, met face to face to decide the fate of the galaxy in a duel. Only one emerged victorious from this battle. Despite all of Malak's capabilities, all his cunning and skillful mastery of the Dark Side, Revan dealt him a fatal blow and sent him into oblivion. The Republic ships ended the battle by destroying the Star Forge.

Heritage

« Fleets of warships, soldiers and people are destroyed. Many planets are devastated - their inhabitants are dead... or have fled. It would be difficult for any civilization to revive». – Kreia about the Republic defeated by the Sith.

With her disappearance, as well as the death of Malak, the entire Sith infrastructure collapsed. The remaining Dark Jedi turned against each other in an effort to seize power over the empire. Bloody civil wars broke out on Korriban, and in the midst of them, Republic forces arrived on Korriban under the leadership of Revan. The Sith were unable to defend the planet and retreated. A year after this, the surviving Sith Lords divided the empire among themselves. And a few years later, the remnants of the empire created by Revan were taken under control by the Sith lords Darth Sion and. However, they were unable to hold on to what they had won: Jedi Knight Meetra Surik stopped the offensive, destroying the new leadership.

Government and politics

« The Sith will have to resort to diplomacy and negotiation - these are the necessary tools to preserve the empire. They can try, but an army can only create an empire, not maintain it. Uprisings, rebellions - after some time the Sith will be destroyed by their own policies». – Hulas.

The empire founded by Darth Revan was an authoritarian state with a theocratic form of government. Based on the Sith traditions of natural selection and survival, Revan developed this system to allow the strong to rise above the weak. Even those at the very bottom of the hierarchy were involved in this process of struggle for power through any means. This created problems in the administrative apparatus - after all, Revan was later also thrown out of the top of power - but it was ideal for the development of the army, ensuring the power of the military forces. And yet, in these conditions, the supreme ruler of the empire himself had to be the embodiment of the Dark Side and keep his followers in line, leaving the limit of their ambitions that was necessary for him personally. Such a ruler was the only dark lord of the Sith, who exercised total control over the empire, and also played the role of commander-in-chief. All power was accumulated in his hands; they obeyed him unquestioningly and carried out any order. At the next step of the hierarchical ladder was the disciple of the dark lord, the so-called Hand of Shadow - a title that was usually awarded to the second most important figure in the Sith state. The Hand of the Shadow carried out the personal orders of the dark lord, and also trained under his leadership, and was able to show much more initiative than low-ranking Sith Lords, if this did not contradict the orders of the ruler of the empire. For example, Darth Malak, even before his betrayal, appropriated the Leviathan donated by Karat, and, becoming the new Hand of the Shadow, mercilessly killed in the presence of his teacher a Sith soldier who did not show him, Bandon, respect.

The so-called lower-ranking Sith Lords were the main field commanders of the empire's military forces, they led the Sith troops into battle and obeyed only the dark lord. It is not known on what principle the right of seniority of one or another ruler was exercised; perhaps it was based on the principle of mastery. It is only known that the number of such commanders was strictly limited, and one of the overlords named Darth Voren was appointed to oversee the security of Revan's flagship. But it seems that the only one who was on a par with the Sith Lords in position was the eldest of all the Sith officers - the commander of the empire's fleet. The Admiral, although not part of his duties, reported to Malak about the pursuit of Bastila Shan and Revan, and allowed himself such liberties as torturing the latter.

"Wipe this pathetic planet from the face of the galaxy!"- the Sith stopped at nothing

The management of individual worlds was carried out by governors, appointed, perhaps, by the dark overlord after the capture of these planets. Typically, governors were chosen from among the Force-sensitive Sith - both masters and students. There was such a governor in the embassy of each conquered world of the empire; this official commanded all local Sith forces and maintained control over the world. The Sith fleet was constantly moving, which allowed the dark lord to exercise overall leadership on all front lines at once. This structure was designed to actively support the Sith fleet and accelerate its deployment - a fact indicating that Revan sought to quickly capture the Republic and increase its combat power. In fact, this was the only political line of the Sith Empire. The dark lord intimidated or destroyed everyone who did not want to join the empire, demonstrating to others the determination of the military forces. The exception was Manaan, which was home to a source of a valuable healing resource called kolto. Both the Republic and the Sith laid claim to Manaan, but the planet's Selkath government announced that if threatened, they could simply destroy the Kolto without giving it to either side. The Sith, pretending to agree to these terms, meanwhile began to attract outside mercenaries to kidnap young Selkath. The Sith Master, who arrived on the planet on the orders of Malak, began teaching these Selkath the Dark Side in order to set the inhabitants of Manaan against each other in the future. The Sith did not shy away from eliminating people they disliked; for example, Revan personally killed the Echani general Yusanis in a duel, and this gave him respect among all the Echani people.

Ever since the Great Sith War, Exar Kun's military leaders retained some territories (for example, Korriban, where the academy was later built). When Revan and Malak appeared there forty years later, the heirs of Kun happily gave up their territories to the new empire and sided with Revan and Malak. Korriban became the capital of their empire, but the ruler of the empire visited the planet little, spending the lion's share of his time in conquests.

On Korriban, where future warriors of the empire were trained, the same basic rules were used as throughout the state. rivalry and ruthless competition were encouraged. Candidate students went through a lot of tests and increased their prestige in order to rise in the eyes of the master, who made all the decisions. Sometimes, to secure his status, a student had to fight another student, and it was usually a duel to the death. Intrigues were also woven against the master of the academy himself, so at any moment he could be betrayed by his own student (he was also his deputy) and thrown out of his post as head of the academy.

Economy

Unlike the Empire, which had owned the rich worlds of the Koros system since its inception, Revan and Malak had to appropriate resources during the Jedi Civil War. Before ascending to the throne, his teacher Revan tried to capture rich or strategically important worlds. The Sith Empire was constantly expanding and was therefore forced to spend huge amounts of money on the war of conquest. Since to create a fleet there was a Star Forge capable of using the endless energy of a star and the energy of the Dark Side of the Force, b O The majority of the budget went to replenishing and equipping the army. The development of the latest weapons and equipment, the recruitment of mercenaries, and valuable kolto also required money. The planet Sernpidal, which was one of the main military bases of the empire, exported various metals. The Sith also owned a settlement, the Roche sector, which may have allowed Revan to receive prototype weapons and new, more effective inventions more often and faster than others. On the planet Thyferra, also captured by the Sith, the Vratix people produced the healing substance bacta.

By the time Revan and Malak began their campaign against the Republic, the galactic corporation Czerka had acquired exclusive rights to many productions. The pure monopoly 1 created by the corporation allowed the Tszerks to use illegal activities to make a profit. The head of the corporation, Polard Syrio, a well-known corrupt official at that time, actively collaborated with the Sith. The cooperation was mutually beneficial: the Sith received logistical and technical support from their allies, and the Tszerka were allowed to conduct exclusive trade on the worlds of the empire. In some cases, the Czerks granted the Sith full ownership of their own secret objects, but in this case they themselves ensured the safety of such objects. The corporation also assisted with cargo shipments to Korriban, in exchange for permission to mine minerals. Many citizens of the Republic considered the Sith and the Czerka to be the same due to their lack of moral principles and similar methods of operation.

Military forces

The Star Forge, discovered by Revan and Malak, grew into a massive ship manufacturing facility and served as the Sith's main staging area and command center throughout the war.

Fleet

« Some of the ships in the Sith fleet are those that were under Revan's command during the Mandalorian Wars. But many are alien developments that we have never seen before». – Master Dorak.

During the early stages of the war, the Sith used stolen Republic ships, accounting for approximately a third of the Republic's entire fleet. Later, they began mass-producing these ships using the Star Forge. It is known that the fleet had a number of heavy cruisers of the type, but the Sith preferred ships of the type as the main command and battle cruisers. The only cruiser of the Republic produced by Sienar Systems, the pride of their fleet, thanks to the commander of the ship, Saul Karath, went to the Sith. Later, it was he who became the “Leviathan” and the model for the production of new “Prohibiting” ones. Four units of gravitational field generators were capable of tearing the ship out of hyperspace. The ship's powerful laser and ion weapons allowed it to be stronger than the Republican cruiser Hammerhead, and the ship could accommodate up to forty-eight fighters and at least three and a half thousand soldiers. It is also known that Revan and Malak discovered drawings of an ancient battleship of the first Sith Empire, this ship was called "Darripan". The battleship was put into production at the Star Forge, but despite the certain effectiveness of the Darripan against Republican equipment, the ship did not have shields, which is why it was defeated.

New sith fighters became a unique mixture of various technologies, including . Produced only at the Star Forge, the single-seat starfighter was powered by a prototype dual ion drive system. Such a ship could accelerate in the atmosphere to a speed of 1250 kilometers per hour. However, this feature was to the detriment of the life of the pilot himself. The ship's hull was lightweight and therefore minimally durable, and the pilot's life support system and his comfort were not given due attention. Fighter pilots were prohibited from wearing a spacesuit, but many did so anyway, hoping to maintain at least some chance of survival. The exclusive design allowed them to fold the fighter's wings and turn off the weapon systems to save energy, this procedure was carried out every time after docking, while the reverse process exposed the two laser cannons. The bow and stern of the ship were small in shape, making the fighters a difficult target for the enemy.

KT-400, the name of the light and compact freighter carrier, was made up for a reason: it transported up to four hundred guard droids. Also, such a ship was used to transport goods, for example, it carried kolto from Manaan. The freighter was produced in Republic shipyards, but the Sith Empire had the KT-400 in its possession, as they were very popular at the time, even among bounty hunters. Shuttle class "Bulletin" could hold up to seventy (on some models fifteen) tons of payload. Both the Vestnik and the KT-400 were equipped with Level 2 hyperdrives. , having joined the empire, traveled on a personal ship - G-type light shuttle.

Army

« It's amazing how Revan was able to lure so many Republic soldiers... and Jedi... during the Mandalorian Wars». – Kreia.

The sole command of all military forces of the empire was exercised by the head of state, dark lord of the sith. Coordinating the actions of the entire army in the galaxy, he also led individual battles. Hand of Shadow, a disciple of the dark lord and the second man in the empire, mainly carried out the tasks of his teacher and also commanded some battles, how troops and Sith Lords low rank. They all obeyed Sith officers, including generals and admirals. The key ground force was sith soldiers, most of whom were former Republic fighters who joined Revan. Gradually, the army was replenished with volunteers from the captured planets; many were hired, since the empire had the necessary funds. During training, future Sith soldiers were mercilessly beaten out of everything that could reveal weakness in them, fear was used as motivation. He further stimulated in battle and prevented possible betrayals and desertions. Some of the soldiers, remembering their training, intimidated citizens and got from them everything they wanted, thus not differing from ordinary bandits. Others, however, simply did their jobs, believing that only the Sith could rule the galaxy. After their duty shift, many of the Sith troopers took the liberty of relaxing in the cantinas of the occupied planet. Often, the foot soldiers saw themselves as being used as expendable material, but were simply afraid of those who commanded them - the Sith Lords.

The soldiers had several varieties, but the main part of them wore light armor with a silver sheen. The armor was specially designed so that the soldiers could inspire fear: a helmet covered the face, making the infantryman faceless, and a voice synthesizer made the infantrymen look like robots. Plates made of durable material provided the owner with relatively little protection, but gave flexibility. Ordinary Sith soldiers were armed with an assault rifle - in fact, a more powerful version of a regular blaster carbine. Vibrating swords and shock stunners were used in close combat. A sniper rifle was used to hit targets from a very high distance, but the Sith rarely used this weapon, preferring close combat. The Sith assault pistol was intended more to stun the target, and to incapacitate droids. Some infantrymen were equipped with personal energy shields, an improved version of the Republic shields.

The non-standard infantry category included experienced and advanced fighters or former Republic soldiers who belonged to the same class before joining the Sith. Sith Commando, elite soldiers, wore red armor, however, exactly how they differed from ordinary soldiers in battle and what tasks they performed is unknown. These infantrymen were armed with light automatic blasters. Heavily armed Sith, in contrast, were used to destroy enemy equipment and large enemy forces; they also wore red armor and were highly ranked in battle. A whole platoon of such fighters was located on one of the decks of the Star Forge and tried to stop Revan, who was rushing towards Bastila and Malak. Finally, Sith Grenadiers grenades were used, mainly of the fragmentation or stun type. Their arsenal also included thermal detonators, and the only small arms they carried were a blaster pistol.

Dark Jedi in battle with light Jedi

Sith Acolytes And Sith apprentices, usually armed, were trained by their overlords and were sometimes recruited to provide security for certain places. Since they usually began their journey at the Sith Academy on Korriban, they may have been recruited from there, lured by promises of final trials and becoming a full-fledged overlord. They also engaged in intelligence activities and espionage. Dark Jedi, servants of the Order who switched to the Dark Side of the Force, provided support for the main forces of the Sith.

Unique liquidators, sith assassins, were created by Revan to capture or destroy the only strong enemy - the Jedi. Specializing in stealthy movement using invisibility generators and the Force, Sith Assassins struck from the shadows. A kind of sect was founded by Revan on Malachor V, several elite squads were trained in the art of battle against the Jedi, since their leader and mentor had special plans for all followers of the light to join his army. Some, for example, used sophisticated Force techniques, some used torture, and some used temptation. These actions gradually led to the fact that the number of servants of the Order decreased, while the number of Sith-sensitives, on the contrary, increased.

The last-ranking combat units were droids, among which two types predominated. Combat guard droids produced by Kelleneh Technologies were widely distributed throughout the galaxy. Armed with a blaster rifle and - in some cases - an energy shield, these droids were used for both guarding and assaulting installations. The Czerka Corporation, in turn, supplied the Sith Empire assault droids versions Mark IV, which, despite their original function, were exclusively engaged in the defense of Sith military bases. The energy shield of individual units made it possible to withstand even a lightsaber. As a rule, the Sith did not use the services of these droids during battle, preferring soldiers.

Astrography

In contrast to the goals of the initiator of the Great Sith War, Exar Kun, who wanted to sow discord and chaos throughout the galaxy, Darth Revan planned to capture the entire territory of the Republic. His empire at the time of 3956 BBY included a third of known space. According to Sith forecasts made shortly before, there were only a few months left to invade and finally conquer the Republic. The Empire owned a large area of the Outer Rim, including the planets of Sith Space, the territories of the Sith predecessors. Some areas captured outside the Empire, such as the Corellian sector, exacerbated the presence of Republic enemies in the Core Worlds.
