The history of our school is the history of our district. Secondary school No. 879 for the first time opened its doors to students in September 1971 of the year. At that time there were 1800 students in it. They were the first.

The first director of the school was Kuzmina Margarita Alexandrovna. It was this charming woman who brought together a teaching staff of like-minded people who laid down the traditions of the school and gave their heart to children for many years.

Over the years, the directors of the school were: Zhabin Yuri Ivanovich and Karaseva Natalya Mikhailovna.

Currently, the teaching staff of the school is headed by Olga Filippovna Maltseva.

Today GBOU secondary school No. 879 is an educational institution with vast experience and rich traditions.
