Review of the WRC in Economics. An example of a dissertation review

Review (review) of the thesis. Review example

More and more applicants who graduated from schools, lyceums, colleges and collegiums are striving to get higher education. Everyone has their own reasons for that. It seems to a freshman, passing the first winter session, that it is still so far before writing a graduation project and defending it, but the years fly by in an instant and you already have a thesis written by yourself. You may have used the thesis order service. asking your fellow students where to order a thesis. It's already over, there's not much left. It is required to make a review of the thesis project. There are two options here. The first - the graduating department assigns a reviewer from the teaching staff to the graduate; the second - the student independently negotiates, more often with the employee under whose supervision the pre-graduation practice took place. Here the department is determined, what rules apply for reviewers for a thesis. We will consider both cases and provide an example for each. After all, the content of the reviews is slightly different. We will write how to write a review from a teacher and from an enterprise.

It is no secret that reviewers leaf through the work, but they themselves do not write the text of the review with their own hands. It takes 1-2 pages of a standard sheet and is compiled by the author of the thesis himself.

Let's look at the first example of a review written by a teacher of the same university where the graduate student is studying.

Examples of reviews for the thesis are presented. It should be noted that the review of the teacher differs from the review from the enterprise. Below are examples of reviews from the supervisor and from the curator at the enterprise.

The review of the thesis is written in the form of an official document, which is attached to the thesis. The review should contain an assessment of the thesis, supported by a brief analysis of its advantages and disadvantages.

Finally, the most difficult six months of student life have passed - your graduation project has been checked by your supervisor and is ready to be submitted to the department.

In order for your work to be admitted for defense at the State Examination Commission, you must submit the following documents along with the results of the study (in our case, a thesis):

Internal review of the thesis of the supervisor

In this document, the teacher who supervised the implementation of your diploma draws up a general description of the work, its relevance, the degree of research on the topic, the independence of fulfilling the goals set, the correspondence of the content in the text to the titles of sections and subparagraphs. Sometimes the teacher may note some negative aspects of the work, such as: insufficient amount of work or, conversely, its excess; It is no longer worth trying to correct such remarks, because it is rare when a student can perfectly complete a diploma and the teacher will not find flaws. At the end of the document, the teacher recommends the work for a positive, good or low grade.

    External review of the thesis

This Diploma Supplement is very similar to an internal review. It differs in that an independent candidate or doctor of science writes his opinion about the work. This may be a teacher from another department, university, or a person with a scientific degree who has the opportunity and desire to familiarize himself with your research. If you did an internship and, on the basis of the data obtained, completed a diploma, then in this case, the review is made by the head of the practice base. It is possible to additionally draw up a certificate on the implementation of the results of scientific research in the activities of the base enterprise, institution or organization. The reviewer makes a brief description of your project, outlines the positive and negative aspects of the work. The final word is a recommendation for a high or low rating. Therefore, it is very important to make all corrections on the work in the process of writing a diploma, listen to the recommendations of the supervisor and complete everything on time in order to get a good review of your final work. And from this, in turn, will depend on your overall score on the defense. Without the above documents, the thesis will not be allowed to be defended.

The general structure of a thesis review

Like any article, the review should contain an introductory, main part and conclusion. Usually one page per volume is sufficient. The basic structure is this:

  • Title. The title of the topic of the thesis, the name and surname of the student, group number and faculty.
  • The relevance of the topic under study
  • Evaluation of the structure of work. To what extent the content of sections and subsections corresponds to the names of the points of the plan
  • Brief description and evaluation of each section
  • Advantages and disadvantages in work
  • Practical significance
  • Recommended Reviewer Score
  • Date, initials, position and signature of the reviewer

    Group No.

This topic of the thesis is very relevant due to the fact that the rapid development of information technology has contributed to the emergence of a new type of crime - computer, and the transition to electronic process control methods to the emergence of a new type of terrorism - cyberterrorism. Cyberterrorism became possible thanks to the emergence and development of the global information space.

In the first chapter, the author gives a theoretical description of cyber security as a component of ensuring the information security of the state. Exploring this issue, the author introduces us to the essence of cybersecurity, objects and subjects, and the main sources of threats. Analyzes in detail the concept of cyberterrorism as a threat to the information sovereignty of the state. The author also studies the regulatory and legal support of cyber security of the leading countries of the world.

In the second section, the author carries out a rather deep analysis of the legal features of ensuring cyber security at the international level. In addition to the study of legal guarantees for combating cybercrime, the development of a cybersecurity system in the activities of the UN and the legal regulation of the fight against cybercrime in the European Union, the author also focuses on cyber intervention at the international level and on international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.

The third section is devoted to the study of current problems and prospects for ensuring cybersecurity in Ukraine and in the world. In addition to identifying the problems of assessing the current level of information security in Ukraine, the author determines the political and legal strategies for ensuring cyber security in the system of national and international security and current trends in ensuring cyber security at the international level.

As a result of this study, the author conducted a study of the international legal aspect of cybersecurity, identified the problems of assessing the current level of information security in Ukraine and indicated current trends in ensuring cybersecurity at the international level. Given this, we can assume that almost all issues that relate to the topic have been studied at the proper theoretical and practical level.

The positive aspects of this work include a comprehensive analysis of the international legal aspect of cybersecurity, indicating not only the problems of assessing the current level of information security, but also determining the prospects for ensuring cybersecurity in Ukraine and in the world.

This work contains some shortcomings, such as the small volume of the first section and the insufficient number of titles in the list of sources used. These shortcomings are insignificant and do not affect the overall assessment of the thesis.

The thesis work of the student is made in accordance with the recommendations and requirements for the design of diploma works of universities. The work has a logical presentation of the analysis, the text in the study is fully consistent with the titles of the sections.

In my opinion, the work should be admitted to the defense with a high positive assessment.

    Reviewer: who is he?

The reviewer of the thesis is a certified specialist in the specialty you have chosen. The reviewer should not work in the same department with your supervisor. A big plus is that your reviewer has a Ph.D. or Ph.D. degree. As a rule, the review is written by the heads of enterprises, institutions (their assistants) with whom you underwent undergraduate practice. How to write a review?

You should not have any special problems in writing a review of a thesis paper on your own. You, like no one else, know all the advantages and disadvantages of your work.

Conclusion - conclusion on the thesis: admitted or not to the defense and assessment (the shortest part of the review). The final part of the review of the thesis ends with the signature of the reviewer and the seal of the organization.

    Thesis review: content requirements

    1. The relevance of the topic of the thesis for a certain field of activity (for example, in the field of industry, economics, art, for the field of personnel management, in operational-search activities, for the marketing activities of an enterprise, etc.)

Example: very briefly (1-2 sentences) indicate the relevance of the topic of the thesis. It is indicated by you in the introduction to the thesis.

    1. Evaluation of the quality of the thesis:

    A) General assessment: the proportionality of the chapters and paragraphs of the final qualification work, the logic of the presentation of the material, the presence of capacious conclusions of the author of the thesis in each of its structural parts, the use of professional terminology, the presence of applications. illustrations (drawings, tables, diagrams), etc.

Example: Ivanov. A. A. processed a fairly large amount of scientific material, at a high theoretical and methodological level, a study was made of the features and methods of economic evaluation of the effectiveness of _____ activities. The material in the final qualification work is presented in compliance with the internal logic, a logical relationship is traced between the sections.

    B) According to the I chapter of the thesis: the level of the scientific style of presentation of the theoretical part, the ability to correctly formulate one's opinion on the problem under study

Example: the author of the final qualification work showed an excellent level of knowledge of theoretical provisions on the chosen research topic, showed the ability to formulate his own point of view (theoretical position) based on an analysis of the opinions of various scientists in this field.

According to Chapter II of the thesis: the depth and quality of the analysis of practical materials, the correctness of the conclusions drawn

Example: Ivanov A.A. practical problems of organization management are analyzed, a deep (reasonable) analysis of available publications of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of economics and management is presented, statistics of the activities of specific Russian organizations in recent years are given. The practical recommendations proposed by Ivanov A. A. have been tested (tested) in our institution (company, enterprise) and have shown their high importance for the sphere of personnel management of the organization

    C) General final assessment: advantages and disadvantages of the thesis

assessment of work by a reviewer

    4. Name of the I. O. reviewer, position, scientific degree, signature, seal of the organization.

    DISADVANTAGES OF THE THESIS

Regarding the shortcomings, you can write the following:

There were no significant shortcomings in the thesis work. Minor shortcomings of the thesis were revealed: insufficient illustrative materials, graphs, the style of presentation is not consistent everywhere, etc. However, the shortcomings found do not affect the quality of the study on this issue.

    Thesis review, examples and samples

Before defending it is necessary to obtain a review of the thesis. A review is an assessment of your thesis work, which includes a brief analysis of the work, the degree of its compliance with norms and requirements, as well as descriptions of the merits and demerits of the work. A good review helps to make a favorable impression on the members of the certification committee.

A reviewer is a person who writes a review of your thesis. As a rule, this is a certified specialist in your specialty. It is very good if he has a degree. The reviewer cannot work in the same department as your supervisor. Usually this is the head of the enterprise where the student had pre-diploma practice. In such cases, the thesis, as a rule, is written on the example of the activity and using the documentation of this organization. A certified specialist must familiarize himself with your work, write a review and certify it with a signature and seal. But practice shows that usually students write reviews on their own.

Writing a review should not cause any difficulties for the student, as he is the best at orienting himself in the text of the work and knows all its advantages and disadvantages. When writing a review, general phrases should be avoided, such as: the student proved to be a real specialist, did a great job, the results can be widely applied in practice, etc. The volume of the review is usually 1-2 A4 pages (font - Times New Roman, size - 14, spacing 1.5). The heading REVIEW is located in the center of the page without a dot at the end in capital letters. The review should consist of introductory, main and final parts.

    1. The review should have a heading that indicates the name of the student, the group number, the name of the specialty and the topic of the thesis.
    2. This is followed by an introductory part which is a description of the relevance of the research topic. No need to write in detail, 1-2 sentences are enough, which can be taken from the introduction to the thesis.
    3. The main part takes up most of the text of the review. As a rule, individual elements of the work are analyzed in it, indicating all the advantages and disadvantages.

    1) General assessment of the work. Here it should be noted the logic of the presentation of the material, the presence of clearly formulated conclusions for each chapter, the use of scientific terms, the presence of graphs, diagrams, etc.

Example: Petrov A.A. a large amount of material was analyzed and a scientific study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of using _____ in _____ activities. The presentation of the material in the final qualifying work is made in compliance with the logical relationship between the structural elements of the work.

    2) Evaluation of the first chapter. The level of knowledge of theoretical materials is assessed, as well as the ability to express one's own point of view.

Example: The author of the final qualification work demonstrated an excellent level of knowledge of theoretical concepts, and also formulated his own point of view on the problem, based on the opinions of various scientists in this field.

    3) Evaluation of the second chapter. The quality of the analysis of the material, the correctness of the formulation of problems and conclusions on the problem are evaluated.

Example: Petrov A.A. a statistical analysis of data on the Russian market in recent years has been carried out. The publications of Russian and foreign scientists on this issue were also analyzed. The student discovered important problems and made the necessary conclusions.

    4) Evaluation of the third chapter. Suggestions and recommendations on the problem are evaluated, as well as the possibility of their use in practice.

Example: Petrov A.A. specific ways of optimizing the activities of the enterprise in the field of personnel management have been developed. These practical recommendations, proposed by the author of the final qualification work, have been tested at our enterprise and have shown their high significance.

    5) General assessment of the work, advantages and disadvantages. Regarding the shortcomings, it can be indicated that they were not identified in the course of the work. Or note minor flaws (not enough illustrations, the style of presentation is not consistent everywhere), but indicate that they did not affect the quality of the study.

Conclusion. The conclusion contains a general conclusion on the work: is the student allowed to defend the diploma. Next, you should indicate the full name of the reviewer, his position, scientific degree, as well as the signature and seal of the organization.

Review of the final qualifying work

student of the Modern Humanitarian Academy

    Ivanov Sergey Alexandrovich

In the final qualifying work, the sections related to the development of methodological issues for planning innovations at JSC Progress are most fully covered. In them, the author proposed to improve the procedure for planning innovations in Progress OJSC, based on additional consideration of environmental factors. This allows us to speak about the presence of independent and original solutions in the final qualifying work.

The advantages of the final qualifying work can also be attributed to: (the merits of the work are listed).

Given the above, it can be argued about the practical significance for Progress OJSC of the results obtained in the peer-reviewed final qualification work.

At the same time, in the work of Ivanov S.A. deficiencies identified: (deficiencies of the work are listed)

The 4 demonstration posters presented for viewing fully correspond to the graphic materials in the text of the final qualifying work and are consistent with the results analyzed by S.A. Ivanov. economic and managerial processes.

The quality of the final qualifying work is quite high. The explanatory note is typed on a computer, correctly written, carefully proofread, there are no grammatical and syntactical errors and typos.

On the topic: Agreement for the provision of legal services

    1. Relevance of the topic. The ever-expanding market of legal services causes the need to regulate social relations between the person providing and the person receiving these services. Strange as it may sound, despite the fact that one of the participants in these relations is a professional expert in law, the legal formalization of these relations leaves much to be desired and can be of better quality. The author's work is devoted specifically to the study of the established practice of civil law settlement of legal relations in the field of legal services.

    2. Analysis of the content of the topic. The work is an independent study. The final qualifying work consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources and applications. The work plan reflects the content of the stated topic. The object of scientific research is contract law. A separate type of unnamed contracts is a contract for the provision of legal services.

The plan fully reflects the content of the work. In the first section, the author resolves the general issues of the contract for the provision of legal services. The concept and features of this type of contract are given (pp. 7-25). Using the method of system analysis, in the second paragraph of the first chapter, the author makes a comparative legal analysis of the contract for the provision of legal services and the contract, as well as the contract for the provision of medical services (pp. 25-48). The second chapter is devoted to certain types of contract for the provision of legal services. Due to the fact that there are many types of contracts for the provision of legal services, the author chose two types for more detailed consideration: a contract for the provision of lawyers and a contract for the provision of consulting services (pp. 48-61).

The final qualifying work is made in accordance with the requirements for the design of this type of scientific work. The work is based on rich empirical material. The writing style is scientific. There are no cases of appropriation by the author of other people's scientific thoughts in the work. The presence in the application of a contract for legal assistance is appropriate and positively illustrates the work.

In the course of writing the work, the author accurately fulfilled all the requirements of his supervisor. And, although the topic proposed by the author himself is not easy, it was approved by the supervisor. The author coped with his own task. I would like to note paragraph 2.2 of the final qualifying work - "consulting agreement". This type of contract, although used in the civil circulation of Russia, remains completely doctrinally undeveloped. Based mainly on the experience of foreign countries, the author offered his original vision of this type of contract.

The disadvantages include the lack of a critical analysis of the current motley law enforcement practice regarding the conclusion of contracts for the provision of legal services.

    6. Conclusion. The final qualifying work of Nazarova Olga Alexandrovna “Agreement for the provision of legal services” fully complies with the requirements of the State Educational Standard for final qualifying works, can be recommended for defense and deserves a positive assessment.

Feedback on the final qualifying work

Supervisor: Ph.D. Associate Professor Melnichenko Roman Grigorievich

    Students Filimonikhina Elena Alexandrovna

    Groups PYUZ-2007 (autumn)

On the topic: Representation in arbitration proceedings in disputes with tax authorities

    1. Relevance of the topic. In the final qualifying work, in fact, two of the most pressing topics are touched upon - qualified legal assistance in the arbitration process and disputes with tax authorities. If on the first issue in scientific circles there are still disputes over the circle of persons with access to the provision of legal services (the so-called lawyer monopoly), then on the issue of disputes with tax authorities, we have an actual doctrinal vacuum. The author tried to combine these two most difficult topics in his work and for the most part coped with his task.

    2. Analysis of the content of the topic. The topic of the work has signs of scientific novelty and relevance. The final qualifying work consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources and applications. The work plan reflects the content of the stated topic. The object of scientific research is the arbitration process, tax offenses. Issues of representation and features of protection in the course of tax proceedings.

    3. Compliance of the content of the work with the plan and the degree of its disclosure. The plan fully reflects the content of the work. The author devotes the first chapter to the consideration of the issue of representation in civil proceedings. In the second paragraph of this chapter, the author dwells on the consideration of such a type of representation as professional representation, namely lawyer representation (pp. 6-12). According to the logic of the stated topic, the second chapter is devoted to the specifics of representation in disputes with tax authorities (pp. 24-44).

    4. Illustrative design of the work and its quality. The final qualifying work is mainly done in accordance with the requirements for the design of this type of scientific work. The author has worked out sufficient scientific material. Unfortunately, the work does not use the personal experience of the author. The writing style is mostly scientific in nature. I would like it to be more even, i.e. a smoother transition from quotes to the author's own opinion. The application to work successfully complements it.

    5. Positive and negative aspects of work. In the course of writing the work, the author in most cases fulfilled the requirements of his supervisor. The complexity of the topic was the difficulty of combining the issues of the arbitration and tax process. Basically, the author coped with the task assigned to him. It is noticeable that the author uses his professional experience in his work. The topic is disclosed and, without a doubt, is the first work in Russia on this topic.

The main drawback of the work is the incomplete understanding of the problems of the tax process by the author. This rather "strange" legal institution (a mixture of administrative and arbitration process) required more thorough study. The author did not clearly express his point of view on the key issues of the topic: the lawyer's monopoly in the arbitration process, the specifics of the lawyer's participation in the tax process.

    6. Conclusion. The final qualifying work of Filimonikhina Elena Aleksandrovna on the topic “Representation in the arbitration process in disputes with tax authorities” fully complies with the requirements for the final qualifying works of the State Educational Standard, can be recommended for defense and deserves a positive assessment.

The relevance of the topic of the final qualifying work and its purpose.

The topic of the final qualifying work was chosen in accordance with the interests of the student who has a job in the Garant company. In the course of his career, he drew attention to the fact that a significant part of the legal relations that arise within a corporation are regulated by special legal regulators - corporate acts. Since this issue is relevant both in the theory of law and within the framework of civil law, the supervisor formulated and approved the topic of the qualification work “Corporate acts as a regulator of corporate relations”. The work has significant theoretical significance due to the insufficient doctrinal study of such a source of law as a corporate act. The empirical part of the study was based on the corporate acts of the place of work of the graduate - the company "Garant" and therefore is of a pronounced applied nature. In the course of work on the chosen topic, there was a clear improvement in the educational level of the student due to the need to process a large educational material.

Characteristics of the work done by the student on the development and design of the final qualifying work.

A distinctive feature of the final qualifying work is its dense information content, despite the rather weak study of the topic in the well-known scientific literature. The author successfully demonstrated and applied his skills in the Garant reference system when searching for literature on his topic.

The topic of the final qualifying work can be considered fully disclosed.

It can be noted the responsible attitude of the student to the design of the work. When designing his work, the student turned to official formatting standards, which is the first time in my teaching practice.

    Personal qualities of the graduate.

The student showed a fairly high competence in the field of jurisprudence. High communication qualities, as well as determination in an extreme situation (the need to turn in work), helped the student successfully cope with his task at the last moment.

Most of the supervisor's recommendations were implemented. In the presence of a great intellectual potential, Vadim Vyacheslavovich's scientific leadership cannot be called an easy task. However, the presence of extraordinary thinking in the student helped to make the process of his communication with the supervisor fruitful and interesting.

When stating the responsible attitude of the student to writing his work, it should be noted that some of the requirements of the supervisor were fulfilled with a delay, which prevented even more productive work.

Suggestions for using the research results.

The final qualifying work itself contains the results of a graduate's practical research (analysis of corporate acts of his place of work) and has the prospect of further practical application.

    Conclusion:

The final qualifying work of Leshukov Vadim Vyacheslavovich on the topic “Corporate acts as a regulator of corporate relations” generally complies with the requirements of the State Educational Standard for final qualifying works in the specialty “Jurisprudence” and can be recommended for defense.

The diploma is ready, and it's great! Can you relax and enjoy life? Wait a minute! Have you managed to find someone who should write a review for a thesis? Well, it's too early to rejoice then. Read about what it is, how to write a dissertation review (because you'll probably write it yourself), and how to find someone to sign it.

    Who writes a dissertation review?

The reviewer is responsible for writing the review - a person with a diploma (or even better - with a scientific degree) in the specialty of the graduation project.

Attention A: It can't be your supervisor. Also, for review, you should not choose someone who works with him in the same department.

How to find someone who is reviewing a thesis? Ideally, this will be a specialist from the enterprise where you conducted research for the graduation project. This may be the head of the enterprise or just a respected expert: senior manager, deputy director, assistant manager, etc.).

If the work was created on the basis of theoretical works and books, the task becomes more complicated. In this case, it is better to seek advice from your supervisor - he, with all his inherent wisdom and colossal experience, and this is exactly how you need to ask him, will help you find the right person.

If you manage to find a reviewer, do not expect that he will write a review himself. Such people are too busy to waste their time. Make sure that everything is ready for you, and the reviewer can only put a signature under what is written.

That is why we provide here the most necessary information so that you can independently make a competent review of all the norms and standards of your educational institution.

What should be the review of the diploma?

Before you start writing a review, you need to figure out how it should look. Here are the main features that a good review should have:

    • consistency in one style;
    • appropriate design and clear structure;
    • the presence of a full analysis of the graduation project.

Remember: you, that is, the reviewer, are not writing an essay or a review, which is characterized by a free writing style. The review has a clear structure. But the form can be free.

    Making a review

    1. Volume - no more than one page of A4 format.
    2. Font - Times New Roman.
    3. Font size - 14 point.
    4. Single line spacing.
    5. Margins - 2 cm from the bottom and top, 3 cm from the left, 1 cm from the right.
    6. Reviewer's signature.

This is how the document should end:

    Diploma review structure

Usually the review is written in free form. However, there are some points that are typical for writing this type of work. Here are the main points that should be taken into account when writing a review for a thesis, and the example itself:

    1. The review should indicate the correspondence of the essence of the diploma to its main goal. So the commission will be able to determine the level of special knowledge of the graduate.
    2. The paper should describe the relevance of the problem and the level of its significance.
    3. The review should assess the degree of depth of work that the graduate has done.
    4. The review should highlight how relevant and possible the further use of the diploma is, that is, its value.
    5. The review must be written competently, with a consistent presentation and an appropriate style.
    6. This work should also indicate the unique aspects of the project.
    7. If there are nuances (strengths and weaknesses) in the thesis work that the members of the commission should be aware of, they should certainly be indicated in the review.
    8. The review indicates the preliminary assessment that the diploma project deserves.
    9. The final point of the review is whether the student is worthy of the qualification, as well as the personal data of the reviewer (name and position or scientific degree of the reviewer).

    Request a review

When writing a thesis, graduates for the first time face a new task for themselves - the need to prepare an external review of the results of their scientific research. Without a review, a work of a qualification level is not perceived in the scientific community. Therefore, if specialists or bachelors improve their educational level, then work on obtaining such a review will become a common occurrence. In the career of a scientist, this document is also quite often used. For example, a project that describes a new development receives a review. At the same time, its purpose is to obtain the opinion of a specialist on the advisability of further consideration of the topic or the introduction of the development into practice.

If you have no idea what thesis reviews are, then this material is for you.

In fact, a review of a thesis is a review of a specialist competent in the issues under consideration, written on one or two sheets of A4 format. An employee of an enterprise in the relevant field, an employee of a research institute or an educational institution can act as a reviewer. It is not desirable to involve in these tasks teachers or researchers of the same institution of higher education, in which the literature review was compiled and experiments were carried out on the practical part of the thesis. This rule is explained by the lack of objectivity of such specialists in evaluating the work of graduates.

If the topic of the work or the student's specialty implies the need to obtain a review of the diploma from the enterprise, then you need to choose a reviewer in accordance with the requirements of the educational institution. Most often they relate to professionalism, the criterion for which is usually either a high position held or the presence of an academic degree. You can find out more precisely the requirements at the university: at the department or from your supervisor. In general, graduates positively assess the possibility of attracting an outside reviewer. There are several reasons for this: such specialists are more loyal to the student, in addition, such communication helps to establish professional contacts for the subsequent employment of a young specialist.

Important! It is not a fact that a reviewer from an enterprise knows how to write and format his review correctly. Therefore, the student should provide him with a sample review of the thesis from the enterprise. You can find the document on specialized sites, it is also worth looking in the offline space: from fellow students, older colleagues, or ask teachers. In addition, one should be prepared for the fact that after the remarks of the supervisor, the finished text will have to be corrected.

First of all, a review of a diploma takes into account the semantic part of the study; graphic materials and applications are also subject to professional assessment. Based on this analysis, a conclusion is made regarding the quality of the study, recommendations are made on the possibility of admitting a student to the defense, and an approximate assessment is given.

According to the rules, an external reviewer must fully familiarize himself with the diploma materials: a literature review, a description of the methods used, a practical part, a discussion, as well as an introduction and conclusion. In practice, this does not always happen, which is associated with employment, the inability or unwillingness to study and analyze the qualification work. Therefore, students are often reviewers themselves and write the text of this document on their own. If the result suits the reviewer, then he simply puts his signature in the review written by the author of the work.

In such circumstances, it is quite common that the question arises how to write a review of a diploma in your specialty? If young scientists already have an idea of what should be included in a review of a scientific work, and what it is better to keep silent about, then final-year students find it difficult to write it.

In order for graduates, in the face of a lack of information and experience, to be able to formulate the text of a review for a thesis work correctly, below we will give a diagram and examples of compiling such a document on practical topics.

    Structural plan of the review

There are no clear rules regarding the structure of a review of a diploma or other scientific work. However, there are generally accepted unspoken rules that imply the division of the text of a professional assessment into several points. The extent to which each of them is considered in detail depends on the opinion of the reviewer regarding the quality of the thesis under consideration. So, if the analysis is reduced to a recommendation to give an excellent mark, then an in-depth assessment of the constituent parts of the study is carried out, the compliance of the tasks set with the conclusions drawn is clarified, the general nature of the presentation of the material is considered, and attention is focused on the student's own thoughts on the topic of work. This approach is not required for works that are evaluated in the review of the diploma as “good” and “satisfactory”.

So, structurally, an example of a review of a diploma can be reduced to the following points:

    1. Indication of the research topic and the student's specialty.
    2. General assessment of the relevance of the work with obligatory explanations of the position of the author of the review.
    3. Description of the volume and structure (listing the number of chapters and sections) of the scientific work.
    4. Writing the main part: deciphering the content of the introduction, chapters and subchapters when they are highlighted, assessing the quality of the conclusion and the list of literary and Internet sources used.
    5. Summarizing the preliminary summary of the review of a scientific work: they take into account design issues, evaluate the correctness of the presentation of the material from the point of view of professional and scientific ethics, indicate the special notes of the reviewer (for example, note the thoughts of the author of the diploma that he especially liked), give an opinion on the completeness of the disclosure of the topic and the adequacy of the conclusions drawn.
    6. Drawing up a conclusion about the strengths and weaknesses of the diploma. If the work has an applied character, then the possibility of applying in practice its results or the recommendations proposed by the author is analyzed. When a review is written for a diploma in economics, management or technology of a certain enterprise, then the text should contain comments regarding the benefits of the study for this enterprise.
    7. The formulation of recommendations for the possibility of admitting a thesis or project to defense, as well as an indication of the recommended grade that the student's work on the diploma deserves.

Important! There are no rules that would regulate the order of paragraphs, there are only recommendations to write reviews of articles, diplomas and dissertations in a logical way.

On the one hand, writing a review of a thesis paper is a simple task, but on the other hand, it is difficult. Ease is due to the fact that no one knows the dignity of a diploma as well as their author knows. However, since not everyone will be able to state the shortcomings of their work in the field of scientific research, problems arise with the objectivity of the review.

Teachers will confirm that close attention is paid to the recommendations of reviewers during the defense of theses. There are cases when a graduate who was worried during the defense, a detailed and competent assessment of his work from a review helped out by the fact that the doubts of the attestation commission were resolved in favor of the student. It is important that the task of writing a review must be approached responsibly.

Here we provide a couple of samples of ready-made reviews - templates. Just substitute the appropriate phrases from your diploma into the formulations given by us, and the document can be printed and taken to the reviewer for signature.

    Sample #1

Degree work Ivanova I.I. covers a topical scientific and applied topic...

The scientific novelty and practical significance of this thesis work is due to...

The structure of the diploma is formed by an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of literary and other data sources. This method of structuring is common in scientific practice and is convenient for perception.

In the introduction, goals and objectives are formulated, the object of research is described, theoretical and methodological ways of studying the subject of the work are indicated, and the reasons for the relevance of the topic under consideration are explained.

The first chapter is devoted to deciphering the definitions and reviewing the theory on the subject of study.

The second chapter reveals and analyzes the practical aspects of the subject of research.

The conclusion contains a list of conclusions corresponding to the tasks. The recommendations and proposals made by the author of the work are original and deserve more detailed consideration.

The list of sources used is compiled correctly, it contains both fundamental works of reputable scientists and publications in scientific periodicals from young specialists.

The advantages of the thesis being assessed include the excellent logic of text construction, the use of foreign thematic literature, and the practical significance of the conclusions drawn. The shortcomings were small grammatical inaccuracies, as well as the wording of definitions that was not entirely correct from a scientific point of view.

In general, the thesis work of student Ivanov I.I. is a finished structured scientific work, designed in accordance with existing standards and taking into account current legislation. Based on the results of the preliminary assessment, I consider it necessary to admit the author to the defense, and in case of successful completion, put a high positive mark on the project with assignment to the student Ivanov I.I. qualifications "".

    Sample #2

Diploma of Petrova P.P. done on...

The issues under consideration are really relevant and of scientific interest due to the presence of a number of insufficiently considered individual aspects of it and some other reasons. Among them, one can highlight…

The final qualifying work is made on the basis of a comparison of fundamental data, modern scientific developments and practical data obtained during the study of the subject of work. The author's approach allows you to see the dynamics of processes...

The construction of the text of the diploma, consisting of .. in which each .. subsection is highlighted, is overly detailed. But this does not reduce the quality of work.

When performing the study of Petrov P.P. proved to be a competent specialist in her field, which is confirmed by capacious conclusions and non-standard proposals in certain aspects of the topic under consideration.

The original historical approach and well-chosen theme of the work compensates for its minor shortcomings. These include a small number of foreign sources of literature, as well as some deviation from the scientific style of presenting the material.

The topic of this graduation project is recommended to be developed in more detail within the framework of the PhD thesis. This diploma complies with the regulatory requirements for scientific publications. Subject to successful defense, the recommended rating is "excellent".

Template number 1 is more suitable for practical specialties. As practice shows, reviews written on it for a diploma in a bank and other financial specialties are positively perceived by the attestation commission. Template No. 2 is more suitable for diplomas of a fundamental nature, where the consideration of the research topic solves theoretical problems and has a positive effect on the development of science in general.

It is difficult to fit the whole variety of academic disciplines into these two templates. But the generality of both reviews is obvious, and therefore, based on them, it is quite possible to write your own scheme based on the provisions from the examples.

Reviewing with the Hundred Minds Team

Comprehensive support for students at all stages of education is the key task of the Hundred Minds website. We provide educational services of various sizes: we are ready to write an essay or term paper, you can order visual materials or a report from us. However, we became real pros in writing graduation theses. Well, what is a diploma without a review? That's right, a review of a thesis is one of what we really know how to do efficiently and quickly.

The writing and execution of these documents is carried out in accordance with all the rules of the scientific community, as well as with the obligatory consideration of professional business ethics. In fact, this scheme of work allows our clients who have ordered the writing of a review today, to receive the finished work in a couple of days. We have a really high quality, so the likelihood of improvements is small, but if necessary, we will perform them for free. It is important that the service of ordering a review of a diploma does not cause any special costs, since the cost of this service is quite affordable for any student. But this type of service allows you to avoid wasting time, which is always not enough on the eve of protection.

In an effort to help our clients, we decided to publish several texts of reviews for the diploma of an economist, manager, lawyer and some other popular specialties. There will be no ready-made solution on your topic, since even thesis works that are close in meaning differ. However, when reviewing the wording of reviewers, original ideas may arise that will become a quality basis for writing your own review.

    Examples of reviews by specialty

With the transition of the state economy to market relations, the need for specialists in managerial, financial and economic areas has increased. We noticed that in the rating of demand, the samples of reviews for the diploma of the State Medical University are in the lead, but other areas are also in demand. The texts of reviews presented below are examples of real reviews of experts on already successfully defended diploma projects.

Review of the thesis - a sample in economics

The thesis work of student N is written on the topic: "Development of the organization's marketing policy (on the example of IP ....)"

The urgency of the problem is caused by the increasing role of marketing in all aspects of the company's activities. The profitability of the enterprise depends on how successfully the marketing policy is implemented. In fact, marketing services carry out the most difficult task - the sale of products at an effective price.

Work on improving marketing activities is an urgent task for any enterprise, because even the most comprehensively attractive product will not be able to compete with analogues without prior preparation of consumers. Based on this, it is obvious that the main task of the thesis is of serious practical interest.

The structure of the work is logical. The material is formatted correctly, presented consistently, systematically and accessible. The chapters reveal the topic, in the course of the work the objectives of the study are achieved, and the tasks are solved.

The advantages are the clarity of the author's position in solving the problems identified, the excellent practical significance, the validity of the conclusions and the usefulness of the proposals. The work presents a small amount of graphic materials, which becomes a minor drawback of this diploma.

A deeper study of the proposed methods and their implementation in practice is recommended. After a successful defense, the author deserves "excellent", it is recommended to qualify as an "economist-manager" in the specialty 080502.65.

Example of a Diploma in Accounting Review

The final qualifying work of student M in the direction 080109.65 "Accounting, analysis and audit" considers the topical topic "Analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of current assets of the organization (on the example of LLC "...")".

Scientific and practical interest is caused by the large role of current assets in the capital of each organization. Fluctuations in their volume have a negative impact on business efficiency, however, it is difficult to find the optimal amount of working capital both practically and theoretically. Capital planning becomes more complicated in the face of constantly changing market conditions as well as business strategies.

The main part of the diploma consists of three chapters. The first one reveals the term "current assets" and provides different points of view on the disclosure of their essence. The second is the study of current assets at the selected enterprise. The third considers ways to improve the efficiency of the use of current assets. It presents practical measures to reduce the size of stocks to an optimal level, timely collection of receivables. If they are implemented at the specified enterprise, financial indicators will increase.

The qualification work of graduate M demonstrates the author's excellent preparation, reflects his ability to work with large data flows, analyze complex financial situations and propose ways to solve them. All this is a sufficient basis for conferring the qualification of "Bachelor of Economics".

The graduation project of student X was completed on the topic “Business plan for organizing a vegetable and granary on the basis of SPK “Y”.

Business planning is a fundamentally important aspect of the organization's work. Therefore, the practical benefits of the diploma are obvious. The work meets the semantic and design requirements and organically combines the theoretical and practical parts. It analyzes the financial and economic activity of the enterprise, on the basis of which conclusions are formulated regarding the impact of certain factors on the financial condition of the enterprise and measures are developed to improve it. The text is divided into chapters, between which a logical connection can be traced.

I consider the main advantages of the study to be the abundance of illustrative material, the reliability of the data used, the excellent practical significance of the recommendations, and competent design. The achieved results are already being successfully implemented by the managers of the SPK “Y” base. As shortcomings, I can single out shortcomings in the wording that do not affect the final quality of scientific work.

The thesis is compiled in accordance with the established requirements and deserves the highest rating.
