UVAU GA (Ulyanovsk Aviation Higher School of Civil Aviation (Institute)) is a budgetary federal educational state institution of professional higher education (flight school), located in the city of Ulyanovsk.
On September 16, 1935, a training center was established in Ulyanovsk, which was intended for the retraining and training of civil aviation flight crews.
On July 1, 1983, in accordance with Decree No. 97 of the Minister of Civil Aviation, a civil aviation museum was created at the school.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the only higher civil aviation flight school on Russian territory was created on the basis of the center. Vitaly Markovich Rzhevsky became the first rector of UVAU civil aviation.

In connection with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the flight higher schools of civil aviation (which were based in the city of Aktyubinsk and the city of Kirovograd) ended up outside the Russian Federation. - 1994 - the training of air traffic control engineers (air traffic controllers) began;
