It is worth noting that there are holes for this wire attachment on opposite sides of the tail. I don't understand the meaning of this duplication. Well, there is and is, it does not interfere with use.

The knurling on the tail, and its general shape just says “twist me, twist me completely”, but, alas, there is no option to disassemble the battery pack.

There are no usual knurlings like “pineapples” and “squares” with “diamonds”, just heels of longitudinal recesses. However, the grip is quite comfortable.

Here, on the gif, they are even better visible. And right there on the GIF, the button and the display are clearly visible. The button didn't work for me. Finding her blindly is not easy, although she is hefty, about the size of a postage stamp. The move is shallow with a clear click. During operation, 2 blue lights are lit next to the display to make the button easier to find.

On the reverse side there is a charging connector covered with a thick and rather deep rubber plug.

CONTROL

Simple.

Lock-unlock with a second hold, the lock icon lights up (see gif above). My firm opinion is that this is not enough to unlock it. it is quite realistic that the flashlight will snuggle up somewhere for this second and there will be many thousands of lumens heating the backpack. 2, ideally 3 seconds is what you need. And better still more confused like 2 seconds + 2 short clicks to unlock. The chances of giving out such a combination in a backpack are negligible.

Switching brightness on click. The number corresponding to each brightness level will light up on the screen.

Turbo - 2x press from any position, with another 2x press, the strobe starts, otherwise suddenly someone will not have enough turbo in the eyes.

By pressing it 3 times, the voltage is displayed, which in a full charge is 16.8v.4

In general, with the exception of a short blocking time, everything suits me.

FLASHLIGHT IN WORK.

The light is, unsurprisingly, cold white.
There is no PWM flicker in any mode.

A few notes:

1) During charging, the screen displays an indicator that everyone sees almost daily on the phone during the same process - a gradually filling 4-segment battery.
2) It, empty, starts flashing when the voltage drops below 11v.
3) Charging takes something like 4-5 hours, I just can’t catch this moment. But generally pretty fast. At BLF, one of the members of the forum successfully charged a flashlight from a solar battery.
4) When the temperature exceeds 50 degrees, a triangle icon appears on the screen.
5) When the voltage drops below 11v, the empty battery icon starts flashing.

That's probably all that comes to mind from the clarifications, before moving on to the details.

So, a friend from BLF tested the light with cooling, without, and generally closing the ventilation holes - there is little difference up to 50 degrees. The difference between cooling and without it lies within about 5 degrees. see this and other useful charts.

My little experience shows that heat dissipation is good. Huge size certainly has a positive effect on cooling
5000 lum mode is generally barely warm, somewhere around 30 degrees.
13,000 lumens is quite warm, but not to the point of inconvenience. The head gradually warms up to 50+ where the stepdown starts. the warm-up time depends on many variables, it is clear that in summer indoors and in winter outdoors everything will be radically different, to the point that in the latter case it may not occur at all (the graph showed that with good airflow, the brightness stays at a relatively one level up to until shutdown).
32,000 lumens here, whatever one may say, the stepdown will be pretty fast. again, external conditions also strongly influence the time of the stepdown.

In a turbo, the handle does not warm up to “ayy!”, it is quite possible to hold it with your hands, after all, after 50 degrees, the brightness drops, so there is no chance to boil your hands and the diode.

As for brightness in general, in the same review, the subject knocked out somewhere around 25-26 kilolumens, which definitely lower than stated, but still a monstrously large amount and more than the nearest competitor knocked out there - Acebeam X80 (25klumen declared).
I am inclined to agree with this and here's why: purely arithmetically, the brightness after the stepdown (7 lumens) as a percentage relative to 25-26 and 32 lumens will be different. Somehow it turned out that my light meter started on 25 kiloparrots and then fell exactly to 6-7 - extremely clearly. Well, I hope you understand what I mean. If not, in short, the brightness in the turbo is lower than declared, but still just crazy.

What to say…

1) Fuck it, not 3 hours at mid high. Tried three times - all the same. I checked the author's review at the link above - similarly, yes, hours. I checked - 13 volts on the bank, i.e. there is a reserve and, in theory, it should be possible to start at least in low-mid. But no, take a bite. And this is not the usual 15-20% discrepancy with the declared figures, there is a difference of a third. This is a joint.

It is clear that this is a lot, but less than promised.

2) Forced cooling played its role and at high the flashlight did not fall into the stepdown, shining brightly, but for less time.

I think that the flashlight will prove to be excellent in the security-inspection of large areas, such as some estate of a modest servant of the people (they will obviously not give out such and such a parking guard). And it’s clear that, unlike the meteor, MT03 or Olight X7R, you just don’t look like it when you put it in your pocket.

Well, of course, this is a great example of a “wow gift”. Even if in practical terms the DX80 does not find application, then no one will remain indifferent. But there are situations when it is absolutely incomprehensible what to give to a person who can already afford everything. This is where this flashlight can be a good choice.

As for the price, with a coupon it is quite at the level of much less bright solutions, the same TM series is now much more expensive, for example, under 500 bucks without a coupon. Although, it is clear that even with a coupon, it extremely limits the circle of buyers. For those who are looking for something, albeit less, but still very bright with a much smaller budget, I recommend paying attention to, which you can take with a coupon for somewhere around 77-80 bucks.

In my case, so far the practical use of the DX80 has been reduced to curbing the long-gnawing desire for me to have the brightest flashlight, that’s all, I won’t engage in self-deception here. Lanterns are the subject of my interest and purkua, as they say, pa. And, yes, I was hoping to make scrambled eggs on it - it didn’t work out, mb if I brought the flashlight from above to the egg broken into the pan, the protein would curl up, but, shining from below, nothing happened. It's a pity, it would be a great addition to the review.

Good:
In turbo, the DX80 puts out an insane, insane amount of light, and even after stepdown it's exceptionally bright, on par with the turbos of other powerful flashlights.

The light according to the picture is not bad and at a couple of lower levels it is convenient as a household one, at higher levels it is quite capable of penetrating very far due to the extreme brightness with a bonus in the form of a wide illumination.

Doubtful:
In real use, I think that I will have to collective farm a shoulder strap, carry 1kg + on an outstretched arm

It would be nice to make it possible to charge via USB, after all, it will be more problematic in the field / car (although, as I wrote above, there is information about successful charging from a solar battery)
