Test right or left hand. On-line magazine of Katerina

The human brain has two hemispheres - right and left. A clear “division of labor” between them was revealed: the right one is responsible for some functions of the body, the left controls others. At the same time, in a person, one of the hemispheres is the leading one, which largely determines the features of his character. Which of the hemispheres is your leader, you can determine for yourself with the help of this test.

1. Interlace your fingers several times, and you will notice that the same thumb is always on top. If left, then you are an emotional person, if right, you have an analytical mindset.

2. Take a pen or pencil. Try aiming by selecting a target and looking at it with both eyes through the tip of a pen or pencil. Close one eye, then the other. If the target moves strongly with the left eye closed, then the left eye is the leading one, and vice versa. The right leader testifies to a firm and persistent character, the left - to a soft and compliant one.

3. If, when interlacing the arms on the chest, the right hand is at the top (with the elbow), you are prone to simplicity and good nature, the left - to coquetry.

4. If it is more convenient for you, applauding, clapping with your right hand, you can talk about the decisiveness of your character. If left, then you are subject to hesitation before making a decision.

Now mark the results obtained in these 4 tests with the letters P (right) and L (left) and determine the features of your character according to the following answer options:

PPPP - you are characterized by constancy, orientation to generally accepted opinion. You do not like to conflict, argue, quarrel.
PPPL - the defining feature of your character is indecision.
PPLP - decisiveness, sense of humor, artistry are characteristic of you. This is a very contact type of character.
PPLL is a rare type of character, close to the previous one, but softer. There is some contradiction between indecision and firmness.
PLPP is an option that combines an analytical mindset with gentleness of character. Slow getting used to the new, caution.
PLPL is the weakest and rarest character type. Its owners are subject to various influences, often defenseless.
LPPP - this combination is very common. The main feature is emotionality, combined with insufficient perseverance. You succumb to someone else's influence, adapting to different conditions of life. Easily connect with people.
LPPL - you are characterized by softness and naivety. You require a special, attentive attitude towards yourself.
LLPP - you are characterized by friendliness and simplicity, some dispersion of interests and a tendency to introspection.
LLPL - your character is dominated by innocence, gentleness, gullibility. A very rare combination.
LLLP - you are emotional, energetic, decisive. But often you make hasty decisions that lead to significant complications. You need to develop a reliable "brake mechanism".
LLLL is a non-conservative character type. You are able to look at old things in a new way. You are characterized by emotionality, selfishness, stubbornness, sometimes turning into isolation.
LPLP is the strongest character type. It's hard to convince you of anything. You hardly change your point of view. But at the same time, you are energetic, stubbornly achieve your goals.
LPLL - very similar to the previous type. The same perseverance in achieving goals, a tendency to introspection. But friends are hard to find.
PLLP - you have an easy character. Know how to avoid conflicts, love to travel. Find friends easily. But often change your hobbies.
LLLL - impermanence and independence. You seem gentle, but when it comes down to it, you are demanding and persistent.

(V.B. Shapar "Entertaining psychology")

And now let's move on to a test that allows you to determine which hemisphere of the brain dominates in a given person or this person has a happy property of balance between both hemispheres, as well as to establish the strengths and weaknesses of the predominance of one or another hemisphere.

As a reminder, for most people, the left hemisphere of the brain deals with analysis, operates in sequence and logic mode, and controls language functions, academic acquisition, and rationality. The right hemisphere is characterized by creative thinking and intuition. It is in it, as a rule, that the ideas of works of art and musical works are born.

The proposed test is aimed at identifying the relationship between the roles of the functions of the cerebral hemispheres. For this, four signs are used, which are innate and, as a rule, do not change until the end of life. True, with one amendment: with strong excitement, the leading hemispheres can change roles. Therefore, for the purity of testing, a certain tranquility of your mood is required (classical music is turned on).

Test "Right or left hemisphere?"

So let's get started!

1. Interlace your fingers several times, and you will notice that the same finger is always on top. An emotional person will have a left finger on top, with a predominance of an analytical mindset - the right one.

2. Try, taking a pencil or pen, on an outstretched hand to combine it (her) with any vertical line (door, window). Now alternately close the left and right eyes. When you close the “leading” eye, the object that you hold in your hand will move relative to the aiming line. The right leading eye speaks of a firm, persistent, more aggressive character, the left - of a soft and compliant. 3. If, when interlacing the arms on the chest, the left hand is at the top, then you are capable of coquetry, the right hand is prone to simplicity and innocence. 4. If you feel comfortable clapping with your right hand, you can talk about a decisive character, with your left - you often hesitate before making a decision.

Evaluation of results: If the results obtained are denoted by the letters P (right) and L (left), depending on the leading eye or hand, a combination of four letters will be obtained (one of 16 possible combinations). Each combination corresponds to a psychological mini-portrait. The difference between your own idea of your person and the description of a mini-portrait should not surprise you, because in fact these are theoretical types, and each of us is always somewhere on their borders.

I came across an old test for determining the character of a person. And to be more precise, this is an attempt to express character analysis, based on the functional asymmetry of the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Of course, the test results should not be taken as an absolute truth, because despite all the achievements of science, the proverb "foreign soul - darkness" still retains its relevance. For me, it was not so much the test itself that was interesting, but rather the fact that statistical data were obtained based on observation and a survey of 500 people.

The study itself will actually include four tests, each of which determines the dominance of the right or left hemisphere of the brain. Further, the combination of these four tests gives 16 possible combinations. Each of them has its own psychological portrait. In the future, conventional designations were adopted, "P" - right reaction to the test, "L" - left reaction to the test. After passing 4 tests, you will get a combination of 4 letters. So:

Test 1. Leading hand. If, when interlacing the fingers, the left finger is on top, then you mark "L" for yourself, if the right one - "P". In the general case, "L" is associated with a more emotional personality, "P" - with the analytical.

Test 2. Leading eye. It is necessary to look at some object through the scope (for example, the tip of a pen or a hole in a piece of paper). If you close the leading eye "P", then the object will move relative to the sight. If you close the non-dominant eye "L", then there will be no displacement. In general, the leading eye "P" corresponds to a firm, persistent, more aggressive character, in the non-leading eye "L" - softer and more compliant.

Test 3. Napoleon's pose. If, when interlacing the arms on the chest, the left hand is on top, it is necessary to mark "L", the right - "P". In general, the left hand on top indicates the ability to coquetry, the right hand indicates innocence.

Test 4. Applause. When performing with the right hand, we mark "P", with the left - "L". In the general case, applause with the right hand indicates a more decisive character, while the left hand indicates indecision, the desire for an increased justification of one's actions.

After passing these four tests, a combination of their four letters should be obtained (the letters are arranged in the order of the numbering of the tests), then 16 possible combinations are considered, each of which corresponds to its psychological portrait. So:

1. RFP. Conservative type of character. Orientation to the generally accepted opinion, to stereotypes. Correct behavior, conflict-free, unwillingness to argue and quarrel.

2. PPPL. Insecure conservatism, weak temperament. In the presence of one test against the background of opposite others, the corresponding character trait manifests itself most clearly - in this case, indecision.

3. PPLP. Such a person has the ability to coquetry, determination, sense of humor, activity, temperament, artistry. When communicating with him, humor and determination are necessary, since this strong character does not perceive weak types. According to statistics (based on the observation of 500 people), this type of character is inherent in 16.5% of men and 17.9% of women.

4. PPLL. A rare and independent type of character. Close to the previous type, but softer, more indecisive
and less energetic. Some contradiction between indecision and (left applause) and
firmness of character (right leading eye). High contact, but slow addiction.

5. PLPP. A business type of character, combining an analytical warehouse and softness as the main feature. More often
occurs in women (3.6%). The generally accepted type of business woman, slow addiction and caution.
Such people do not go into conflict head-on, they are dominated by calculation, tolerance, slowness in
development of relations, some coldness.

6.PLPL. The weakest character type, very rare. Defenselessness and weakness are connected as with the ability
go into conflict, and with susceptibility to various influences. According to the statistics, there
only in women - 0.8%.

7. PLLP. The tendency to new experiences and the ability not to create conflicts. some inconsistency,
the ability to flirt on the "right", analytical background with a special softness. similar characters
characterized by emotional slowness, languor. Simplicity and rare courage in communication,
the ability to switch to a new type of behavior. More common in women - 8.5%, in men - 3.5%.

8. PLLL. Fickle and independent character, the main feature of analyticity in combination with the rest
"left" tests. The desire to do everything and decide for yourself. This type of character is not common, 2.6%
in men and 1.6% in women.

9. BOPP. One of the most common character types (15.7% for men and 12.2% for women),
with very good adaptation to different conditions. The main feature of emotionality in combination
with insufficient persistence. High susceptibility to foreign influence. Is friendly,
easily contacts with almost all other types of character. Men are emotional
lowered, there is a tendency to phlegm.

10. LPPL. Even less perseverance, softness, pliability, naivety. Requires very careful
attitude towards oneself - the type of "little queen".

11. LPLP. The strongest type of character, difficult to convince, it requires a strong
diverse influence. Able to show perseverance, perseverance in achieving goals. strong
individuality, energy, ability to overcome difficulties, some conservatism.
Such people do not like infantilism.

12. LPLL. Strong, but unobtrusive character, almost defies persuasion. main feature
- internal aggressiveness, covered with external softness and emotionality. fast interaction,
but slow understanding. Difficulty in making friends.

13. LLPP. Friendliness and simplicity, some dispersion of interests and a tendency to introspection.
14. LLPL. The main features of this character are innocence, gentleness, gullibility. This is a very rare type
almost never occurs in men.

15. LLLP. Emotionality combined with decisiveness as the main feature. energy, some
dispersion lead to the fact that such characters may have emotional, quickly accepted,
thoughtless decisions.

16. LLLL. The owners of the full set of "left tests" are people who are characterized by the ability to
look at things, the greatest emotionality, individuality, selfishness, stubbornness, security sometimes
turning into closure.

Observations have shown that with matching tests, the communicants experience a state of "mental comfort"
and mutual sympathy. Even randomly formed companies usually consist of people who are close in character,
with similar tests. The greatest effect is possible with complete coincidence, mutual antipodes are found
rarely.
