From the first lines of my story, I want to congratulate the paratroopers of Russia on the 84th anniversary of the famous winged infantry. Wish them all the very best.

Now about the topic title. And here is the war in Abkhazia in 1992-93. and the Russian Airborne Forces? And everything is very simple. Already on the second day of the war, the 345th Airborne Regiment began to be transferred from Azerbaijan to Gudauta (Bombora airfield) by aircraft of the VTA of Russia.

Here is how one of the participants of those events described these days:
"We were guarding the airfield (in Azerbaijan). On August 14, 1992, an order was received to urgently replace battalions. Our regiment was replaced by 337 RAPs. to the conduct of the DB and the readiness to advance to one of the republics. Since such orders were not new to us and we almost always gathered somewhere, somehow they didn’t really attach any importance. We thought it was another cartoon. In general, we unloaded parachute systems from equipment , received b / n in the warehouses of the RAV. As always. Barracks for everyone. Prepared, got everything we can get and sit. 08/15/92 received an order to prepare three BMD for each PDR battalions of the regiment. It was logical. In the spring, all national ".cadres (Khokhls, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, etc.) were sent to their homeland. There were few young people from training. In each PDR, there were a maximum of 25 people. We sit further. I at the KR in the evening of 15.08. asked to go home to the town on a visit (young wife) On the morning of August 16, 1992 at 6:00 am on foot m I go to the checkpoint of the regiment, but it is no longer there. PNSh called me, said for an hour as a regiment at the airfield. Well, it was noticeable. The territory is empty, in the sky with an interval of 5 minutes, IL-76 and An-22 pass over the city. Only the duty outfit and the changing of the guard for the regiment remained in the companies. I ran to the airfield (on a straight line km. 6-8). He came running, just the company was on loading. The first boards from the OPP and PP regiment have already flown away. Where we were going and why, no one knew. Further Black Sea, sun, beach, palm trees, etc. The rest of the 104th Airborne Division remained in place, later it was withdrawn in full force to Ulyanovsk."

At the Gudauta airfield, even before the arrival of the 345th regiment, there was a unit of the 21st OVDBR from Kutaisi, they guarded it. When the airfield was taken under guard by paratroopers from Kutaisi, I unfortunately do not know. Immediately upon arrival, the fighters of the 345th regiment received and set up checkpoints, guards, took the perimeter under guard. One company (3 PDR) was nominated to guard the Seismic Laboratory in the village. Escher, they actually ended up on the very front line ...

NOTE:
The battalions and companies of the 345th Airborne Regiment had the following numbering:
1PDB - 1, 2 and 3PDR
2PDB - 4, 5 and 6PDR
3PDB - 7, 8 and 9PDR

- 7 PDR guarded the laboratory;
- 8 PDR served in the protection of the ZRP;

after January 1993, 3 PDBs were given - GABatr, PTBATR, ISR and VRHR (with "Bumblebees");

RR provided security and defense of the military sanatorium of the Russian Federation in the city of Gudauta;
One PDR provided security and defense of the ZRP division near New Athos;
One provided security and defense for the ZRP division in the city of Pitsunda;
The sanatorium of the MVO in the city of Sukhum was guarded by soldiers of the 901st Airborne Division (they were not part of the 345th regiment);

Then there was the truce of August 1993. Paratroopers of the 345th regiment again stood on the line of demarcation. But the truce was ended by another escalation of the conflict, and the fighters had to quickly turn around and leave under fire.

In particular, I would like to acquaint you with the story of one of the officers of the regiment, whose unit was stationed in the Ochamchira district, and after the start of the database, they hastily advanced first to the Ochamchira PZ, and then relocated to us in the Border Brigade, from where they were then taken by the Zubr DKVP.

"In July 93, the regiment set up posts from Sukhum to Achigvara. Our battalion got the most distant ones. They passed right through the lower bridge on the BMD, through the whole of Sukhum and in a straight line, in a column of six combat vehicles, plus a "Ural" tented and UAZ - a total of 45 l / s The elder was some kind of polkan, in my opinion from the infantry, but not a fact.

In Achigvar, Lieutenant Rustam was the head of the block, they hovered there at night, settled at the traffic police post, the task was vague, to track the passage of the withdrawn equipment, it’s ridiculous, there are three hundred bypass roads. In three months, a couple of tanks drove towards Zugdidi, and then the boys probably went to have a good time.

In Achigvar, at the post, Rustam ordered to install a Russian flag on the antenna of the traffic police post. What started here, the next day, a regiment of people in jackets rushed in with him, drove in full: "You fucked up the lieutenant, the Georgians made such a kipish that it came to Moscow." The inhabitants of Achigvara pulled themselves up, though not en masse. Polkan ordered the flag to be removed, Rustam refused, then they found a bolder Georgian / the antenna is really high /, he climbed in and took off ours, hung up the Georgian one. Further, nothing special, but for security purposes, a sniper position was equipped on the roof of the post. This prevented a provocation. One day, two unarmed Georgians approached the post and started shouting that Georgian land was here, and in that spirit. Spraying themselves with a drill, they use a drill on the post, you can’t bang the wrong situation, then they give back and dump. Rustam raises his head and sees that the sniper keeps them at gunpoint, escorting them until the brawlers leave.

One day in September, an Abkhaz observer took Rustam aside and warned that an offensive would begin in all directions at 4 in the morning, thanks a lot to him, no one from the command gave such information, as a result, 2 BMD out of 6 were surrounded. By evening, one of the vehicles with a fight escaped from the encirclement with one wounded, and our special forces rescued one ...

The Georgians arrived in a KAMAZ with a trailer blocked the road to Ochamchira 5 people got out of the car and looked at the lieutenant calmly disguised positions of the paratroopers were behind the traffic police post at the fork of three roads, everything became clear to everyone. Rustam gave the command to the crew of the BMD to take a firing position and take KAMAZ at gunpoint, the Georgians realized that they could not block the landing, they also calmly silently sat down and left, and then it dawned on Rustam, the Georgians would raise the people this is their favorite feature screaming women in black in the crowd of militants in front of the traffic police post there is a school there could also be militants therefore. Rustam ordered the mechanic to go onto the road without stopping, and he himself with a sniper rushed to catch up with her when they jumped into the BMD, a crowd was already ahead. Having slipped Achigwara went to the gathering point of the group. Having passed the central square in Ochamchire, we turned right behind the cinema. then to the left. There, on the road in front of the frontier post, a BMD stopped. There were already 3 of our cars here, there were no two cars, the connection was lost. The battalion commander went to find out where they left Rustam for themselves. Suddenly there is a gap to the right of the column, after 1 minute a classic fork to the left There is no time for reflection Rustam gives the command forward. The paratroopers drill a rod to the frontier post, before that they were not allowed in, therefore they stood on the road as targets. The border guards opened the gates, the landing force entered Immediately three gaps along the column The concrete parapet on the right saved the losses from losses as you enter the outpost here Rustam led the column behind the barracks of the outpost.

At the Ochamchira PZ, they kept all-round defense for a day, were surrounded by Georgian tanks, the Georgian commander "Butkhuz" offered to surrender, the battalion commander sent him to 3 letters. After 2 hours, negotiations began about what they were talking about, I don’t know, but at 5 in the morning the tank that pressed the gate of the outpost passed literally 5 meters back, that was enough for us and we rushed to the mortal brigade of the road, we didn’t know how to break right through the positions of the Georgians, we saw them in their underwear jump into tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and pulled after us.

As soon as we entered the Marine Brigade, they were right there, we immediately began to dig in what to do next, we did not know. The fact is that the border guards here were "their own", and we are like a bone in the throat of the Georgians. So they probably decided to recoup. On the opposite side of the bay, an artillery gun was rolled out for direct fire. We buried our BMDs opposite and were ready to smash everyone. But the situation was still uncertain. Some kind of calm came when Chindarov got in touch and said: "to kill everyone who shoots in our direction." The battalion commander says that we have nothing stronger than hand grenades. Chindarov sent a boat with ammunition from Sochi. The boat came with ATGMs, MANPADS and b.k. for BMD. So for a week they stayed in the naval brigade. Then the Zubr SDK was sent for us to be evacuated to Gudauta.

Chindarov said: "guys, you can only go out by sea, there is no turning back." The sailors suggested where the good shore was. Immediately after the checkpoint, we went to the left, drove along the coast for a short time, took up defense in a semicircle with our backs to the sea. The Georgians, on their artillery battery, turned their guns in our direction. They waited a long time, first a Su-27 flew in, the Georgians actively fired on it, it left. Then a huge cloud of water dust appeared far away in the sea. From the second time, the "Bison" went ashore marked by us with smoke. When the ship crawled ashore, the AK-630 gunner directed them at us. Our commander, with flags (red and yellow), attracted the attention of the gunner and pointed to this battery with flags. The gunner redirected his machine guns to the Georgian battery. The Georgians raised the cannons to the top, but in the bushes and in the sand dunes, our paratroopers looked through the Georgian soldiers with weapons and grenade launchers. Marines poured out of the landing hold, it was something, I won’t lie, but until the departure of the Zubr, the Georgians did not move. They were afraid that the marines, uniting with us, would capture Ochamchira helping the Abkhazians. Then there was a night in neutral waters.

Shortly after going to sea, intensive firing from six-barreled small-caliber guns from the Zubr began. We were in the hold and it quickly filled with gunpowder smoke. The sailors dragged some shells (???) and the paratroopers shouted help, Rustam grabbed one shell with them and asked what happened Midshipman says two boats attacked ZUBR, one was sunk, the second managed to dump ...
I don’t know from the hold you can’t see any portholes, but the point pressed down. In Achigvar they pressed, at the frontier they pressed from the marine brigade, they dumped there was still not enough to feed the fish. Then I would not go to the landing, but immediately to the Leningrad diving. After that, we spent the night in neutral. So the captain of the ZUBRA made a decision, and we were passengers without a ticket. In the morning, so in neutral and pearl to Gudauta, by the way, the boat was the Ukrainian Navy (???). Pasha fraternally agreed not to stir up a scandal.

The SIXTH BMDeshka never arrived before our departure from Ochamchira. She returned to the regiment 2 days after our landing in Gudauta without ammunition, but the weapons and personnel were all available. We didn’t ask what happened to her, it was not accepted in the 345th regiment.

Here is a story told to me by one of the participants in those events. I can partially confirm everything that he told. he himself was in Ochamchira at that time and saw a lot with his own eyes.

REALITIES OF TODAY:
After the collapse of the Union, many countries created their own airborne forces. But the ancestors are still the Airborne Forces of the USSR and they have a COMMON holiday.
But unfortunately in Ukraine, the paratroopers of the 25th, 79th, 80th and 95th airmobile brigades supported the fascist government of Kyiv. They are fighting under the banner of fascist banderlogs, killing civilians in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. But let them remember that the hand of the Almighty will punish them and it doesn’t matter if it is today, tomorrow or in 100 years ... All the tears shed by the civilian population of the DPR and LPR will be shed to them or their descendants. And they will be rewarded like these dill fascists from the 25th airmobile brigade in the city of Shakhtyorsk:

Pys.Pys .: and now about the pleasant.
A decree was signed on the creation by the end of this year of a Separate Brigade of the Special Forces of the Russian Airborne Forces. The brigade will be created on the basis of the 45th battalion of the Special Forces of the Airborne Forces, which at one time was created on the basis of the disbanded 345th Airborne Regiment. This is such a metamorphosis.

The 345th Guards Vienna Red Banner Order of Suvorov III degree parachute regiment named after the 70th anniversary of the Lenin Komsomol - a military unit of the airborne troops, the Ground Forces, the Armed Forces of the USSR, and then the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 1944-1998.

Story

Our regiment was formed on December 30, 1944 in the village (town) of Lapichi, Osipovichi district, Mogilev region of Belarus, on the basis of the 14th Guards. VDBR as the 345th Rifle Regiment, which, in turn, was reorganized into the 345th Guards. landing airborne regiment of the Order of Suvorov (June 14, 1946).

In July 1946, the regiment was redeployed to the city of Kostroma, and in 1960 to the city of Fergana, where it remained until December 1979.

The regiment was originally part of the 105th division, and later was included in the 105th Guards Airborne Division in the city of Fergana, Uzbek SSR. In 1979, after the disbandment of the 105th Guards Airborne Division, the regiment received the status of "separate".

The regiment as part of the 40th Army participated in the Afghan War. As early as December 14, 1979, before the entry of the main units of the 40th Army into the DRA, the 2nd battalion of the regiment was transferred to Bagram to reinforce the battalion of the 111th Guards Parachute Regiment of the 105th Guards Airborne Division, which from 7 On July 1979, he guarded Soviet military transport aircraft and helicopters at the Bagram airfield (later this battalion was included in the 345th regiment).

The battalion of the 111th Guards Airborne Regiment was first commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Lomakin, but in October 1979 an emergency occurred in the battalion (special officer Captain Chepurnoy died), Major Pustovit was appointed commander of the battalion.

The 9th company of the regiment under the leadership of senior lieutenant Valery Vostrotin (80 people) on December 27, 1979 took part in the assault on Amin's palace.

In 1980 the regiment was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. In Fergana, after the relocation of the regiment to the DRA, the first battalion of the regiment remained, which in 1982 became part of the relocated from Kirovabad 387th Guards Airborne Regiment 104th Airborne Division with the subsequent renaming in October 1985 to 387th Separate Airborne Training Regiment. 387th oopdp will train the rank and file for the airborne units in OKSVA.

The 2nd Battalion, which was in the DRA, was stationed in Bamiyan, later in Anava. Starting in the spring of 1982, the regiment began a systematic replacement of standard airborne armored vehicles (BMD-1) with armored vehicles more adapted to combat operations in the conditions of guerrilla warfare in the mountains, standard for motorized rifle units (BTR-70, BMP-2) - “... April 20, 1982. We didn't go to operations all April. Moved from the BMD to the BTR-70. We love our own Airborne Combat Vehicle very much for the power of the engine and weapons, for maneuverability and speed, but it did not protect us from mines. In the BTR-70, they began to feel calm ... "

Also, the regiment was reforming the organizational structure in order to increase the firepower of the units - the howitzer artillery battalion armed with D-30 howitzers and a tank company on the T-62 were included in the regiment. Due to the inability to carry out combat parachute landing in difficult mountainous terrain, units were disbanded as unnecessary. amphibious support and airborne service a shelf. Due to the lack of air targets and armored vehicles from the enemy, anti-aircraft missile platoons in battalions and an anti-tank battery were disbanded. The anti-aircraft missile artillery battery was redirected to fire cover for columns on the march by installing standard ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns on trucks.

In terms of the nature of the combat missions performed and the armament, the regiment during its stay in Afghanistan practically did not differ from a motorized rifle regiment.

Organizational and Staffing Structure of the 345th Guards Separate Parachute Regiment for the summer of 1988

In January 1988, the 9th company of the regiment took part in the heroic battle at height 3234 near Khost, which formed the basis of the script for the film "9th Company"

A Bit of History

“There are dashing regiments in Russia,
No wonder their glory is loud,
but no mother Russia
more glorious than our regiment!

Our regiment was formed on December 30, 1944 in the village (town) of Lapichi, Osipovichi district, Mogilev region of Belarus. The basis for the formation of the regiment were parts of the disbanded 14th Guards Airborne Brigade. The first commander of the regiment was Lieutenant Colonel Kotlyarov.

The regiment became part of the 105th Guards. Rifle Division of the 38th Guards. rifle corps. 38th Guards The rifle corps consisted of the 104th, 105th and 106th Guards. rifle divisions and was part of the 9th Guards. army (commander Colonel General V.V. Glagolev, chief of staff Major General S.E. Rozhdestvensky). 9th Guards the army was introduced into the active army and concentrated southeast of Budapest, being in the reserve of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command.

The 9th Guards Army was fully staffed with well-trained officers, sergeants and privates, who had completed a course in combat operations behind enemy lines. During the period of preparation for the Vienna Offensive Operation, intensified combat training was going on in the units and formations of the army. The morale of the warriors was exceptionally high.

From the town of Lapichi of the Byelorussian SSR, immediately after the formation, the regiment departed for the front near Budapest. 345th Guards. the infantry regiment participated in the battles for the liberation of Germany and Czechoslovakia. In commemoration of the victory won in the battles for Vienna and for the mass heroism shown in the Vienna Offensive Operation, the 38th Guards. the rifle corps was given the honorary name Vienna.

AFTER THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

After the end of the war of 345 guards. the rifle regiment was engaged in combat training in Hungary during the year.

By the Decree of the Council of Ministers on June 3, 1946 and the order of the Minister of the Armed Forces of the USSR on June 10, 1946, the Airborne Forces were withdrawn from the Air Force, included in the reserve troops of the Supreme High Command and subordinated directly to the Minister of the Armed Forces of the USSR. The post of Commander of the Airborne Troops of the USSR Armed Forces was re-established and his duties were defined. In April 1946, Colonel General V.V. was appointed Commander of the Airborne Forces. Glagolev.

The organizational development of the troops was based on the experience gained in the interwar period and during the Second World War. 38 Guards was sent to form troops. rifle corps consisting of: 104, 105.106 guards. rifle divisions.

June 14, 1946 345th Guards. the rifle regiment was reorganized into the 345th airborne landing regiment of the Order of Suvorov.

The reorganized units and formations retained honorary titles and awards for military distinctions received on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. The main part of the personnel enthusiastically accepted the news that their formations were being reorganized into airborne units, since most of the military personnel were paratroopers. All military personnel sent to recruit troops were selected for health reasons, physical development and level of education, as well as for moral and political qualities.

On September 1, 1946, the troops began scheduled military and political training.

The 345th landing airborne regiment of the Order of Suvorov was stationed in the USSR in the city of Ivanovo, then in the city of Kostroma, and from 1960 to December 1979 in the city of Fergana, Uzbek SSR, as part of the 105th Guards. airborne division.

In 1979, the 105th Guards was disbanded. airborne division, which was stationed in Uzbekistan, with the exception of the 345th Guards. pdp, which became known as a separate one.

THE "AFGHAN" HISTORY OF THE REGIMENT BEGINS FROM DECEMBER 1979

On April 27, 1978, a revolution took place in Afghanistan, as a result of which the PDPA party came to power, which proclaimed the Soviet version of socialism (the United States did not like this). Mohammad Taraki became the leader. His closest associate was Hafizullah Amin (prime minister). (It is noteworthy that Amin studied in the USA).

In March 1979, Taraki asked the USSR to send Soviet troops into Afghanistan in connection with the Herat uprising and the start of the civil war. The USSR refused.

Later, on the orders of Amin, Taraki was arrested and strangled, although Brezhnev asked him to personally save Taraki's life. Brezhnev was "very upset."

And already on December 12, 1979, a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU was held with the agenda “On the situation in Afghanistan”, where, by the decision of the “Kremlin elders” Andropov, Ustinov and Gromyko (Kosygin and Agarkov objected), it was decided to use the Armed Forces of the USSR in the DRA.

At the same time, since July 1979, special forces of the Airborne Forces and the KGB (Zenith, Alpha, Thunder, Muslim Battalion ...) were secretly transferred to Afghanistan.

One of the first units of the Airborne Forces in Afghanistan was sent to 345 Guards. To ensure the operation of the Bagram airfield and the protection of technical personnel and cargo from Ferghana to Bagram, the task force of the 345th Guards Infantry Regiment, led by the regiment commander and the 2nd Infantry Regiment, with military equipment and cargo, was transferred.

And already on December 16, 1979, the 2nd infantry brigade of the 345th Guards Infantry Division, together with the 1st infantry brigade located at the Bagram airfield, began to protect the airfield and ensure the reception of personnel and equipment.

On the night of December 24-25, 1979, the reception of the artillery battalion and regiment support units at the Bagram airfield and 3 air defense units at the Kabul airfield was provided.

On December 25, 1979, at 12.00, the troops were sent the Directive of the General Staff "On crossing the state border of Afghanistan at 15.00 hours ...". Troops entered...

On December 25-27, 1979, the 345th regiment ensured the landing of units and subunits of the Vitebsk 103rd Airborne Division at the airfields of Kabul and Bagram.

On December 27, 1979, at 19:30, the GRU and KGB special forces of the USSR stormed and captured Amin's residence, the Taj Beck Palace. Amin was killed...

On the same night, the 103rd Guards Airborne Division captured important facilities in Kabul.

On the night of December 27-28, the personnel of the 345th regiment also performed a combat mission to capture important facilities at the Bagram and Kabul airfields, and administrative offices in Kabul.

The number of all the dead was 60 people, of which 19 people stormed the Taj Beck and 8 guardsmen of the 345th Guards Opdp (in the lists of the dead they appear under 71, 89, 137, 143, 266, 280, 305, 396).

On December 28, 1979, the United States warned the USSR about possible negative consequences for the USSR. And already on January 2, 1980, the United States announced sanctions against the USSR (one of them is not participation in the 80 Olympics in Moscow). They were supported by 104 states in the UN, and 18 did not support them ...

Babrak Karmal, a man loyal to the USSR, became the leader of Afghanistan ...

The United States began to act, and already in February 1980, mass uprisings began throughout Afghanistan against the current regime of the PDPA ... Thus began a large-scale armed confrontation ...

(We see how the United States acts today on the example of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova ... Money and a “herd of stupid ones” will do their job ...)

The Afghan war continued for us from mid-December 1979 to early February 1989. (9 years and 2 months). There was a lull (truce) only between January 1983 and March 1984. According to the General Staff of the USSR Ministry of Defense, 620 thousand military personnel and citizens of the USSR passed through Afghanistan, and 15,051 military personnel and citizens of the USSR died. The last soldier of the Afghan war who died during the withdrawal of troops was Igor Lyakhovich, a guardsman of the 345th Guards Opdp (Salang - 02/07/1989).

In 1980, the regiment was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for the courage and heroism shown by the personnel in the performance of international duty.

On February 15, 1983, the second pennant of the USSR Ministry of Defense "For courage and military prowess" was awarded to the regiment.

In the period from 1980 to 1989, the regiment participated in more than 240 combat operations with a total duration of more than 1500 days.

In 1988, the regiment was given the honorary title "70th Anniversary of the Lenin Komsomol".

The title of Hero of the Soviet Union in the Afghan War was awarded to:
Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Alexandrov (posthumously);
Valery Aleksandrovich Vostrotin;
Yuri Viktorovich Kuznetsov;
Nikolai Vasilyevich Kravchenko;
Andrey Aleksandrovich Melnikov (posthumously);
Vasily Vasilyevich Pimenov;
Igor Vladimirovich Chmurov;

345th Guards Airborne Regiment
GLORY, GLORY, GLORY!!!

Among the military units located in the Republic of Afghanistan, the 345th Guards Separate Airborne Regiment stands apart. During my service in Afghanistan, I unfortunately did not go there, but I heard a lot about the work of this regiment. In the future, already in civilian life, I was familiar with those who served there.

345 ODPDP was formed on December 30, 1944 in the village (town) of Lapichi, Osipovichi district, Mogilev region of Belarus. The basis for the formation of the regiment were parts of the disbanded 14th Guards Airborne Brigade. The first commander of the regiment was Lieutenant Colonel Kotlyarov.

And already on December 12, 1979, a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU was held with the agenda "On the situation in Afghanistan", where, by decision of the "Kremlin elders" Andropov, Ustinov and Gromyko (Kosygin and Agarkov objected), it was decided to use the Armed Forces of the USSR in the DRA.

On December 25, 1979, at 12.00, the General Staff Directive "On crossing the state border of Afghanistan at 15.00 hours ..." was sent to the troops. Troops entered...

On December 25-27, 1979, the 345th regiment ensured the landing of units and subunits of the Vitebsk 103rd Airborne Division at the airfields of Kabul and Bagram.

On December 27, 1979, at 19.30, the GRU and KGB special forces of the USSR stormed and captured Amin's residence - the Taj Beck Palace.

The number of all dead was 60 people, of which 19 people stormed the Taj Beck and 8 guardsmen of the 345th Guards Opdp

The Afghan war continued for the regiment from mid-December 1979 to early February 1989.

  • Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Alexandrov (posthumously);
  • Yuri Viktorovich Kuznetsov;
  • Nikolai Vasilyevich Kravchenko;
  • Andrey Aleksandrovich Melnikov (posthumously);
  • Vasily Vasilievich Pimenov
  • Igor Vladimirovich Chmurov;
  • Oleg Aleksandrovich Yurasov (posthumously).

One of those who was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union was Vostrotin Valery Aleksandrovich. In the film Black Shark, General Vostrotin played himself, the commander of the scouts. His reconnaissance company was well known among the spooks.

1975-1979 - commander of an airborne platoon, deputy company commander, company commander in the 345th Guards Airborne Regiment as part of the 105th Guards Airborne Division;

1980-1982 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff - Deputy Battalion Commander, Battalion Commander of the 345th Separate Guards Airborne Regiment;

1982-1985 - student of the Military Academy. M. V. Frunze;

1985-1986 - Chief of Staff - Deputy Commander, Commander of the 300th Guards Airborne Regiment of the 98th Guards Airborne Division;

During the years of the war in Afghanistan, the regiment lost 418 people. Eternal memory to the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army.

The film "Ninth Company" is dedicated to the memory of the heroes from the 9th company of the 345th OPDPP. Here is the history of the battle for Hill 3234 near Khost.

Take a look at these faces. Some of them did not return home, some remained alive, but all of them honestly fulfilled their duty to the Motherland.

Indescribable beauty...!!! pebble beach, 150 meters to the water. The whole seashore was deserted... not a single soul...
Our base... I won't show anything else on the map, who was there, he knows all this...

Road to the regiment

In September 1992, I arrived at the regiment ... with the children ... (I was smart enough ...) ... and soon transferred to my husband's place of service ... It was possible to get to Gudauta only by helicopter from Adler, the road through Gagra was blocked. In Adler, at the airport, it turned out to be impossible to get to the airfield area to the helicopter. Remin and I had to wade through the fence ourselves ... together with a pram, children - the little one was 4 months old, and all the other scrub that I took with me ... :)) We got to the helicopter, and there was a crowd of Abkhaz people who wanted to my native land... the helicopter is loaded to capacity with food... the commander of MI-8, as he saw everything I was flying to my husband with, took hold of my head, there was nowhere to load it... Our man...! of course, I took it ... the first time to go in overload ... We flew quietly, across the sea, but my Alyokha, with a fright, sometimes shouted louder than a helicopter ... I sat in the place of the navigator with the baby, and my daughter with me ... the rest were all standing ... on one leg ... our things were loaded, and the free space ended ... Sanatorium ...! Paradise place...! 2-bed room... The doctor of the sanatorium turned out to be a children's pediatrician... lucky... :)) On the contrary, the Mi-8 crew lived in the room. Upon returning from the assignment, they turned on loud music in the room, and the whole sanatorium listened to it, they lived with music ... Shooting, shooting behind the fence, they quickly got used to it ... Food in the dining room, a sports ground, the sea is clear, as if filled with spring water. .. There are empty, deserted streets in the city... in stores, empty counters are lined with jars of red caviar... and the price is small, I thought that caviar is not real - no one takes it... :)) It turned out that caviar is normal, and in every room in the sanatorium on the table there are red caviar, lemons (they grew under the windows) and teapots for tea brewing with cognac ... After all, the regiment flew from Kirovobad and, like an arsenal, everyone grabbed cognac with which they were going to Russia for combat increased ... home ... But in Gudauta, discipline was strict, the very situation obliged it, the commander imposed a ban on alcohol, so such "tea" from a teapot could sometimes be a little bit ...

The fall of the SU-27 in the sea. 100 m from the coast

It was a clear warm November day. The sea sparkled with the rays of the sun. The planes left for the mission and returned... I don't want to write details... Returning from the mission, the SU-27 was the last to enter... It made a low flight over the runway and went into a loop... It turned out to be a beautiful loop... the airfield watched ... and already exciting “come out ...! come out...!” everyone on earth sounded ... he didn’t get out of the loop ... he didn’t calculate ... he stuck into the sea about 50-100 meters from the coast ... and on the coast, right in the alignment of the runway, two girls were sunbathing ... and right in front of them, an airplane is falling, the loop of which they observed ... the sea is shallow here ... the roar of explosions, columns of water ... and fragments fell on the shore ... the entire coast was strewn ... immediately they arrived at the scene from the headquarters , from the airfield, the medical unit flew in ... the girls both sat and sit ... among the fragments ... they have not a single wound ... intact, but do not move, they do not speak words ... froze ... and not “a”, and not “b” ... and everything is in fragments nearby ... slowly they were slightly taken out of shock and taken to the medical unit ... everyone was in shock ... an absurd death ... it was the pilot’s third loop over the base ... November 11, 1992. the photo is arbitrary... but this is Gudauta, Bombora... the base...
Life went on, everyone was engaged in the fulfillment of the assigned tasks ... a working atmosphere 24 hours a day ... I started running for exercises in the mornings ... as I run past the fence through the stadium, machine-gun fire behind the fence ... watched, bastards ... husband asked: “Were you shot again ...?” “I don’t know, they shot” ... My exercise was covered ... my husband forbade ...

The MI-8 crew did not return from the mission. Lata village.

One day ... some kind of incomprehensible silence in the sanatorium ... something is missing ... the MI-8 crew is somewhere on a mission for a long time ... after all, everyone is waiting for everyone and everyone ... but instead of music in that day they filled 3 glasses of vodka in their room and put a piece of bread on top ... the guys did not return ... it was December 14, 1992. The next day, everyone who was in the helicopter was brought to the airfield ... we rode in our parachute ... I saw this once in my life ... we were shocked ... such things are unacceptable in any war ... in rows the corpses of women and children were delivered ... half were already covered with white sheets ... our soldiers and locals fussed over it all in a state of shock ... a terrible sight ... I don’t want anyone to see this ... the helicopter went to mountains, took women and children out of the danger zone... The village of Lata is in the mountains, and the commander loaded the board to capacity - more than 80 people... pregnant women, children of different ages - from newborns to teenagers... a full helicopter... but half were children ... the operation was planned, it was announced, and by all MI-8 call signs it was called the "Red Cross" ... on the air they continuously announced in plain text about the passengers on board ... Anyway, they fired and shot down ... And three two hundredths were sent to Russia ... The guys were 23, 24 and 26 years old ...

New 1993 we met

We celebrated New Year 1993 cheerfully ... in an organized way, in the dining room of the sanatorium ... and since for the purpose of blackout the electricity was turned off for the period of darkness, the diesel engine worked until 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve, everyone was warned ... by 1 a.m. everyone to their rooms ... and at 4 am on January 1, a combat enhanced ... with a military arsenal ... only girls remained in the sanatorium, the rumor quickly spread ... But we had good signalmen ... At the same time, raised our special forces battalion in Sukhumi... signalmen, well done...! Accidentally got on the same wave... no details here... And the hostilities were canceled... lucky... :)) In winter, the windows started rattling at night... the whole horror... "Grad" was working, and Sukhumi was glowing covered, it was clear... the son, probably, the word "hail" before mom, dad began to speak... Children were not taken outside the sanatorium, it was impossible... Often... walking along the seashore, within the sanatorium or an airfield, I admired the beauty of these places ... on the one hand, the sea is a huge vast expanse with the feeling of this colossus of clean, clear water ... and on the other hand, mountains in the distance, standing as an impregnable wall, as if guarding the peace and beauty of these places .. The subtropics fascinated with their natural natural singularity... in February the first flowers bloom - these are daffodils... they grow everywhere, and the airfield is decorated with daffodils... this is the beginning of the awakening of nature after a short winter hibernation... and by March, mimosa bushes bloom ...there are so many... the smell of spring is special here... in Russia and there is no such thing... roses... they are extraordinary here... and the smell of roses intoxicates and awakens an inner surge of emotions... bamboo... it grows here... and when we moved to an apartment in a military camp, I bought yourself a chic bamboo mop ... :))
The Russians, all who could, left Abkhazia, leaving behind elderly people who have nowhere to escape from this situation. But they stopped receiving pensions as soon as everything started here... when I went to the local Gudauta market, I noticed that Russian grannies were walking around the market. I was buying food, my grandmother came up, asked the price ... and sighed ... I was about to leave, I stopped her and asked why she did not buy, and suggested that she still buy something here ... I had to insist on an answer ... and the answer stunned me ... the pension does not reach, maybe it will come, and then she will buy ... These were our abandoned Russian people ... I asked my grandmother to wait for me ... I collected a package of products, everything I could , and told my grandmother to take the package ... I already paid when my grandmother left with tears in her eyes ... there were many such moments, and I didn’t remember them ... my husband reminded me when I told my friends already in Russia ...

Sad story... and instructive...

I was almost taken away by a Chechen... my husband showed himself... probably, I protected my husband at that moment... :)) Husband... a good husband... somehow he had an opportunity, and we went with him to the market, he is in camouflage without weapons, I am in civilian clothes ... And at that time Basayev had already arrived in Gudauta with a group of Chechens, they arrived "to help the fraternal mountain people" - that's what we said ... And when we went to market, an armed Chechen approached us, said that I was very beautiful and offered to go with him ... and they walked there from head to toe, hung with weapons and ammunition ... their whole chest was covered with grenades in two rows - this, probably, instead of medals ... and the antennae are unclenched - they probably had such a fashion ... two machine guns, a pistol, magazines with cartridges, a knife - everything is also in sight ... my husband is silent, walks, looks ahead and is silent ... Chechen once again, more insistently and convincingly, he offered to go with him ... he began to promise mountains of gold ... the husband is silent ... then I suggested that the Chechen look around and choose another woman ... because there are many of them here ... the Chechen insisted on his own, took my arm and tried to lead me, I pulled away, grabbed my husband and politely said that I would go with my husband ... my husband was silent and was walking ... The Chechen asked in surprise: “What is this , your husband...???" answered: “Yes” ... he approached her husband, stood right in front of him, and looking into his eyes once again asked: “HUSBAND ...?!!!” the husband is silent ... I answered: “Yes, this is my husband, and I will go with him” ... The Chechen shook his head, looked at his husband and said: “Well ... since this is your husband ... just because ... that this is your husband "... and left ... I remember this Chechen ... handsome, strong ... :)) I left this case behind me, drawing certain conclusions for myself ... And no one would found out... We didn’t like the New Year of 1993, we met me to share my failures... But, no... I heard a brave story already in Russia... in the company of friends with some kind of proud joy: “But I have Lyudmila almost a Chechen took away...! what would I do...:)) we went without weapons... and the whole Chechen...! dressed from head to toe...! and the antennae on the grenades are unclenched "... And to hell with him ... it's a thing of the past ... But I'm beautiful, the Chechen said ... :)) The main thing is that my son grew up with a masculine character ... :))

In a military camp...

At the beginning of the summer we were billeted in a military camp... it is on the map... and our house is... half-empty houses... and residential apartments were determined by the pipes sticking out of the windows... why these pipes...? they said that they had stoves ... in apartment buildings ... horror ... A lot of women came to the regiment ... to their husbands ... many went to military service ... somehow our chief of finance approached me regiment - Farid Alibaev, asked: "Remina, are you our master of sports ...?" Yes. “Here are women for you, conduct a physio with them, women pass all checks. Any questions...?" There are no questions, comrade major... And my women passed 4 on all physical checks... And our men are in the service all the time: one battalion in the Kador Gorge, one battalion in Eshery, and another battalion guarding the airfield... And who will guard the headquarters ...? Like who...? Women...! and they started to take us to the shooting range... We were happy to shoot... :)) from a pistol, from a machine gun, from a grenade launcher... and they divided us into crews - 3 people per BMD and 1 crew per anti-aircraft gun... we fired from anti-aircraft guns, I was the crew commander ... fired into the sea ... scared the fish ... And when the battalions left, many officers asked Remin to look after their wives - they weren’t at the holiday ... VDS service anywhere they didn’t leave, they sat at the base, and Remin always had a harem - we joked like that ... Water by the clock, light (diesel) by the clock, and behind the fence the machine gun was constantly scribbling - we got used to his firing ... Airplanes constantly flew. .. first the MIG-25, then the SU-27 went on a mission, and the MI-14 helicopter left behind them, it looks like it has a belly on the bottom of the boat (we jumped from it in Gudauta, it’s funny from below), it sits on the water ... and the planes were returning in the reverse order... we got used to these sounds, but one day... an incomprehensible sound and SUCH a powerful roar... I sat down in the kitchen at home and clamped my ears... I got up, the column is growing... brown... growing and growing... growing and growing... and it is somewhere nearby - right behind our houses, 400 meters from us (later they found out)... yes, the bombs were dropped... the scout flew in, and instead of the airfield he dropped on Gudauta ... and then the OSists were beaten for slipping ... but soon the BUG was driven to the airfield ... And once we were told that they would give women pistols ... we were so happy .. :)) and our officers went to the commander and convinced him not to give the women pistols, otherwise they would shoot everyone... we were so indignant...! I had a machine gun hanging at my house for 2 years, two magazines back and forth, a cartridge in the chamber and on the fuse ... it was calmer with him ... instructions: first shoot up through the door, then to kill. .. (I didn’t have to shoot at anyone) ... Remin was in the company all the time, spent the night at home every other day, there were no men, everything was on point, I didn’t sleep at night, I listened to every rustle ... guarded the children ... at the entrance there are few residential apartments and the entrance door to the apartment is dead... But there was a large 3-room apartment... :)) Bookmark this page... I don't ask you to share it with your friends... it's just for you...
