The effect of electromagnetic waves on living organisms. Influence on the endocrine system and neurohumoral response

Continuous industrial progress and the rapid development of science in the modern era lead to the widespread use of various household electrical appliances and electronic equipment. This creates great convenience for people in work, study and everyday life, and, at the same time, causes hidden harm to their health.

Science has proven that all consumer electronics in the process of use generate electromagnetic waves of different frequencies to varying degrees. Electromagnetic waves are colorless, odorless, invisible, intangible, but at the same time they have great penetrating power, so that a person is defenseless in front of them. They have already become a new source of environmental pollution, gradually undermining the human body, negatively affecting human health, causing various diseases.

Electronic radiation has already become a new global environmental disaster.
To date, four International Congresses have been held in the world on the effects of small and ultra-low radiation on human health. The issue is recognized as so urgent that the problem of "electronic smog" has been put by the World Health Organization (WHO) in first place in terms of the danger of impact on human health. WHO considers "the current level of modern electromagnetic radiation and its impact on the population is more dangerous than the effect of residual nuclear ionizing radiation."

The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection of the countries of the European Union recommends that the governments of all states take the most effective preventive and technical means and measures to protect the population from the actions of “electromagnetic smog” The following manifestations of the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation are indicated in special literature published in our country and abroad on the human body:

  1. gene mutation, due to which the likelihood of oncological diseases increases;
  2. violations of the normal electrophysiology of the human body, which causes headaches, insomnia, tachycardia;
  3. eye damage that causes various ophthalmic diseases, in severe cases - up to complete loss of vision;
  4. modification of the signals given by the hormones of the parathyroid glands on cell membranes, inhibition of the growth of bone material in children;
  5. violation of the transmembrane flow of calcium ions, which prevents the normal development of the body in children and adolescents;
  6. the cumulative effect that occurs with repeated harmful exposure to radiation, ultimately leads to irreversible negative changes.

Biological effect of electromagnetic fields

Experimental data of both domestic and foreign researchers testify to the high biological activity of EMF in all frequency ranges. At relatively high levels of irradiating EMF, modern theory recognizes a thermal mechanism of action. At a relatively low level of EMF (for example, for radio frequencies above 300 MHz it is less than 1 mW/cm2), it is customary to speak of a non-thermal or informational nature of the impact on the body. Numerous studies in the field of the biological effect of EMF will make it possible to determine the most sensitive systems of the human body: nervous, immune, endocrine and reproductive. These body systems are critical. The reactions of these systems must be taken into account when assessing the risk of EMF exposure to the population.
The biological effect of EMF accumulates under conditions of long-term long-term exposure, as a result, the development of long-term consequences is possible, including degenerative processes of the central nervous system, blood cancer (leukemia), brain tumors, and hormonal diseases. EMF can be especially dangerous for children, pregnant women (embryo), people with diseases of the central nervous, hormonal, cardiovascular system, allergy sufferers, people with weakened immune systems.

Impact on the immune system

At present, enough data has been accumulated indicating the negative effect of EMF on the immunological reactivity of the organism. The results of research by Russian scientists give reason to believe that under the influence of EMF, the processes of immunogenesis are disrupted, more often in the direction of their suppression. It has also been established that in animals irradiated with EMF, the nature of the infectious process changes - the course of the infectious process is aggravated. The emergence of autoimmunity is associated not so much with a change in the antigenic structure of tissues, but with the pathology of the immune system, as a result of which it reacts against normal tissue antigens. In accordance with this concept, the basis of all autoimmune conditions is primarily immunodeficiency in the thymus-dependent cell population of lymphocytes. The effect of high-intensity EMF on the body's immune system is manifested in a depressing effect on the T-system of cellular immunity. EmF can contribute to nonspecific suppression of immunogenesis, enhance the formation of antibodies to fetal tissues and stimulate an autoimmune reaction in the body of a pregnant female.

Effect on the nervous system

A large number of studies carried out in Russia, and monographic generalizations made, give reason to classify the nervous system as one of the most sensitive systems in the human body to the effects of EMF. At the level of a nerve cell, structural formations for the transmission of nerve impulses (synapse), at the level of isolated nerve structures, significant deviations occur when exposed to low-intensity EMF. Changes in higher nervous activity, memory in people who have contact with EMF. These individuals may be prone to developing stress responses. Certain structures of the brain have an increased sensitivity to EMF. Changes in the permeability of the blood-brain barrier can lead to unexpected adverse effects. The nervous system of the embryo exhibits a particularly high sensitivity to EMF.

Effect on sexual function

Sexual dysfunctions are usually associated with changes in its regulation by the nervous and neuroendocrine systems. Related to this are the results of work on the study of the state of gonadotropic activity of the pituitary gland under the influence of EMF.

Repeated exposure to EMF causes a decrease in the activity of the pituitary gland

Any environmental factor that affects the female body during pregnancy and affects embryonic development is considered teratogenic. Many scientists attribute EMF to this group of factors.
Of paramount importance in studies of teratogenesis is the stage of pregnancy during which EMF is exposed. It is generally accepted that EMF can, for example, cause deformities by acting at various stages of pregnancy. Although there are periods of maximum sensitivity to EMF. The most vulnerable periods are usually the early stages of embryonic development, corresponding to the periods of implantation and early organogenesis.

An opinion was expressed about the possibility of a specific effect of EMF on the sexual function of women, on the embryo. A higher sensitivity to the effects of EMF was noted in the ovaries than in the testes. It has been established that the sensitivity of the embryo to EMF is much higher than the sensitivity of the maternal organism, and intrauterine damage to the fetus by EMF can occur at any stage of its development. The results of the conducted epidemiological studies will allow us to conclude that the presence of women's contact with electromagnetic radiation can lead to premature birth, affect the development of the fetus and, finally, increase the risk of congenital malformations.

Influence on the endocrine system and neurohumoral response

In the works of Russian scientists back in the 60s, in the interpretation of the mechanism of functional disorders under the influence of EMF, the leading place was given to changes in the pituitary-adrenal system. Studies have shown that under the action of EMF, as a rule, stimulation of the pituitary-adrenal system occurred, which was accompanied by an increase in the content of adrenaline in the blood, activation of blood coagulation processes. It was recognized that one of the systems that early and naturally involves the body's response to various environmental factors is the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal cortex system. The research results confirmed this position.

The earliest clinical manifestations of the effects of EM radiation on humans are functional disorders of the nervous system, manifested primarily in the form of vegetative dysfunctions of neurasthenic and asthenic syndrome. Persons who have been in the zone of EM radiation for a long time complain of weakness, irritability, fatigue, memory loss, and sleep disturbance.

Often these symptoms are accompanied by disorders of autonomic functions. Disorders of the cardiovascular system are usually manifested by neurocirculatory dystonia: lability of the pulse and blood pressure, a tendency to hypotension, pain in the heart area, etc. Phase changes in the composition of the peripheral blood (lability of indicators) are also noted, followed by the development of moderate leukopenia, neuropenia, erythrocytopenia . Changes in the bone marrow are in the nature of a reactive compensatory tension of regeneration. Usually these changes occur in people who, by the nature of their work, were constantly exposed to EM radiation with a sufficiently high intensity. Those working with MF and EMF, as well as the population living in the area of EMF action, complain of irritability and impatience. After 1-3 years, some have a feeling of internal tension, fussiness. Attention and memory are impaired. There are complaints of low efficiency of sleep and fatigue. Considering the important role of the cerebral cortex and hypothalamus in the implementation of human mental functions, it can be expected that prolonged repeated exposure to maximum permissible EM radiation (especially in the decimeter wavelength range) can lead to mental disorders.

The sensitivity of living systems to external electromagnetic oscillations of the biosphere, first of all, depends on the frequency range and intensity of oscillations. The range of electromagnetic phenomena conditionally available for study is divided into three areas, within which there are specific features of the interaction of electromagnetic fields with biological systems:

low-frequency fields (up to approximately meter wavelengths)
Microwave - meter, decimeter and centimeter waves
EHF - millimeter and submillimeter waves.

Electromagnetic waves carry a certain energy and when they interact with matter, this wave energy is converted into heat.

The latter is also an important condition for the vital activity of various living creatures of the biosphere. At low doses of irradiation with electromagnetic waves in the human body, no significant physiological changes occur. However, electromagnetic waves of any frequency with an irradiation power density exceeding 10 W/cm are harmful to living organisms.

The response of a living system to external electromagnetic influences can occur at various structural levels of a living organism - from the molecular, cellular to the level of the whole organism.

The nature of the interaction of an electromagnetic wave with a living organism is determined both by the characteristics of the radiation itself (frequency or wavelength, phase propagation velocity, oscillation coherence, wave polarization, etc.), and by the physical properties of a given biological object as a medium in which the wave propagates. These properties of a substance include dielectric constant, electrical conductivity, wave penetration depth, etc.

Nowadays, the biological effect of electromagnetic waves in the range from constant magnetic fields to visible light (the region of non-ionizing radiation) has begun to be studied very intensively. However, the results of these studies are known only to a narrow circle of specialists, and, as a rule, the rest of the public lives quietly and peacefully according to its own laws. To some extent, this was led to the widespread opinion among the people that since a person does not feel the electromagnetic waves noted above the range, then they do not affect a person at all.

The action of low-frequency electromagnetic waves

For a long time, it was believed that low-frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF), up to the slowly changing magnetic and electric fields of the Earth, do not have any noticeable effect on living organisms. This belief was based on the fact that the biological effects associated with the transformation of the energy of these very weak fields in the tissues of living organisms are negligible. However, in the last decade it has become clear that these low-frequency electromagnetic fields play a significant role in the functioning of wildlife. At the same time, the concept arose that living organisms have evolved to use low-frequency electromagnetic fields to obtain information about changes in the external environment, for information communications between organisms and within living organisms.

In addition, an assumption is also made about the possible influence of fields at ultra-low frequencies, when its frequency is in the infra-low range of 10-3-10 Hz, close to the most important biological rhythms. Indeed, the rhythms of the electrical activity of the brain, heart and other organs are essentially in that same frequency interval

Action of millimeter waves

Why does millimeter wave electromagnetic radiation have a specific effect on living organisms?

The answer to this question is as follows: millimeter radiation of extraterrestrial origin is strongly absorbed by the Earth's atmosphere. Therefore, living organisms could not have natural mechanisms of adaptation to fluctuations of noticeable intensity in this range due to external causes. However, they could adapt to their own similar fluctuations.

In the last 30 years, a purposeful study of the influence of millimeter electromagnetic waves on living organisms has been carried out.

Original studies in this direction have been carried out, and quite interesting and experimental data have been obtained by scientists N. D. Devyatkov, M. B. Golont, N. P. Didenko, V. I. Gaiduk, Yu. P. Kalmykov and others (Russia), Sitko S.P. (Ukraine), Caylman F. and Grundler V. (Germany), Berto A. (France) and others. An analysis of the experimental material accumulated to date allows us to draw two conclusions:

1. Electromagnetic oscillations of low intensity in the millimeter wavelength range have a significant impact on the vital activity of various organisms.

2. Two interrelated effects are found, which differ in the presence or absence of frequency dependences of resonant absorption.

Non-resonance effects are associated with water molecules (H2O) in irradiated organisms, which strongly absorb millimeter radiation. Indeed, water performs extremely important functions in the life of biological objects and the human body.

For example, a flat layer of water only 1 mm thick attenuates radiation at X ~ 8 mm by a factor of 100, and at X ~ 2 mm by a factor of 10,000. Therefore, when human skin is irradiated with millimeter waves, almost all radiation is absorbed in surface layers a few tenths of a millimeter thick, since the weight content of water in the skin is more than 65%. The absorption of millimeter radiation by water molecules in the body is explained by the fact that the frequencies of their rotational movements are largely in the region of millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths. This absorbed energy is then converted into heat.

In addition, the scientists obtained a unique experimental result: during the interaction of millimeter radiation with biological objects, well-reproducible resonant absorption curves were found. The frequency dependence of this interaction effect is very similar in shape to the resonant characteristic of an oscillatory circuit. For example, the human body can be considered as a good antenna for electromagnetic waves with a frequency of 70-100 MHz; that at these frequencies it "resonates" with the field.

At present, there is no generally accepted point of view explaining the nature of this phenomenon. The question of the mechanisms of the sharply resonant action of millimeter radiation on living organisms is, perhaps, one of the interesting questions in the problem under discussion, which excites the minds of scientists and is the subject of numerous discussions in the scientific literature, at seminars and conferences.

Action of radio waves

At the dawn of the development of radio broadcasting, electromagnetic waves of the radio frequency range for the human body were considered safe. But radio engineering developed, powerful radiation generators appeared, and then scientists discovered that radio waves primarily act on the central nervous system.

The biological effect of radio waves of all ranges is similar, however, with an increase in the frequency of field oscillations, its pathogenic effect increases, reaching the greatest severity in microwave radio waves. In mild cases, due to the so-called non-thermal action, mainly functional disorders occur in the body, which can accumulate with repeated exposure to the microwave field. Irradiation of high intensity gives a thermal effect, leading to persistent changes in the nervous system.

Another case is related to the emission of so-called "radio-wave hearing" - a phenomenon known since 1947. Very often, when microwave impulses act on the head, a person hears "clicks" in time with the impulses; moreover, he has the impression that clicks are heard inside the head. This phenomenon takes place if the power flux density of the pulsed radiation is sufficiently high (about 500 kW/m2).

The action of the visible spectrum of electromagnetic waves

Opening our eyes every morning, we do not think what a miracle it is to see the world around us and its inescapable beauty. Prose can also be added to our computer age: more than 80% of the information entering the "central processing unit" of the human body goes through the main sensory (sensitive) video terminal - the eyes.

The sensitivity of the human eye to light is very high. He is able to perceive and large light fluxes. These fluxes exceed the smallest luminous flux that the eye perceives by trillions of times.

Our organ of vision also allows us to distinguish colors, that is, to perceive radiation differently depending on its spectral composition.

With the same power of the light flux, the yellow-green rays will be perceived by the eye as the brightest, and red and purple will seem the weakest. If the brightness of yellow-green light with a wavelength of X ~ 0.555 µm is taken as unity, then the brightness of blue light of the same power will be 0.2; and the brightness of the red light is 0.1 of the brightness of the yellow-green flux. Even powerful fluxes of radiation with a wavelength shorter than 0.3 microns and longer than 0.9 microns are not perceived by the human eye. The maximum sensitivity of the eye on the wavelength of the light entering it coincides with the maximum emissivity of the Sun.

Even the great Goethe noticed that yellow evokes bright feelings, blue - causes a feeling of cold, lilac - something bleak, and red - creates a whole range of impressions. Further research by a number of generations of scientists made it possible to use the color spectrum for the treatment and prevention of many diseases. An analysis of these numerous observations and the results of specially designed experiments leads to the following conclusions:

Red color stimulates the nerve centers, the left hemisphere, energizes the liver and muscles. However, prolonged exposure can cause fatigue and increased heart rate. Red color is contraindicated in case of fever, nervous excitement, hypertension, inflammatory processes, neuritis, it also has a bad effect on bright red-haired people.

Yellow and lemon colors activate motor centers, generate energy for muscles, stimulate the liver, intestines, skin, have laxative and choleretic effects, and cause a joyful mood. These colors are contraindicated at elevated body temperature, neuralgia, overexcitation, inflammatory processes and visual hallucinations.

Green color eliminates spasms of blood vessels and lowers blood pressure, dilates capillaries, stimulates the pituitary gland, promotes good mood.

The blue color, on the contrary, promotes vasospasm and increases blood pressure, and therefore is contraindicated in hypertension. Has antimicrobial activity. Used for disinfection of premises, treatment of diseases of the ear, throat and nose, gastrointestinal tract. However, it should be remembered that dark blue color with prolonged exposure to a person can cause fatigue and depression.

Indications and contraindications for purple in the clinic are about the same as for blue.

High voltage action

Recently, it has been suggested that children living near high-voltage power lines (power lines) are more at risk of contracting certain types of cancer, in particular leukemia. True, there is no direct evidence from medicine. Nevertheless, the results of epidemiological studies conducted in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the USA (Poisk, 1995, No. 9) still suggest that high-voltage power lines and various electric power plants can affect the incidence of leukemia and brain tumors in children. Directly under the wires of power lines, even at a minimum voltage of 220 V, the intensity of electromagnetic radiation exceeds the norm of 0.5 kW/m2. Indeed, if you go out to the power line clearing, you can see green grass and bright flowers, but there will be no bees on them. They are the most sensitive to electromagnetic waves.

Cell phone: good or bad?

A cell phone is an extremely convenient means of communication that is rapidly conquering "living space". According to experts' forecasts, the number of people (network subscribers) using it in Russia will exceed 1 million, and by the year 2000 - 3 million. not only the benefits, but also the safety for the health of users. Today, there is practically no discussion among scientists about whether or not a cell phone affects a person's health. The accumulated knowledge about the influence of the electromagnetic field (EMF) on the human body allows us to unambiguously say that the electromagnetic radiation of a cell phone, like any other source of EMF, affects the physiological state and health of a person who is in contact with it.

The area of irradiation during the operation of a cell phone is primarily the brain, peripheral receptors of the vestibular, visual and auditory analyzers. When using cell phones with a carrier frequency of 450-900 MHz, the wavelength slightly exceeds the linear dimensions of the human head. In this case, the radiation is absorbed unevenly and so-called hot spots can form, especially in the center of the head. Calculations of the absorbed energy of the electromagnetic field in the human brain show that when using a 0.6 W cell phone with an operating frequency of 900 MHz, the “specific” field energy in the brain is from 120 to 230 μW/cm2 (the standard in Russia for cell phone users is 100 µW/cm2). So, it can be expected that long-term repeated exposure to maximum permissible doses of radiation (especially in the decimeter wavelength range) can lead to significant changes in the bioelectrical activity of various brain structures and disorders of its functions (for example, the state of short-term and long-term memory).

Special experiments by Russian scientists have shown that the human brain not only senses the electromagnetic radiation of a cell phone, but also distinguishes between cellular communication standards. The results of the experiment indicate significant changes in the bioelectrical activity of the human brain. In the majority of testers, both during and after irradiation with electromagnetic waves of a cell phone, the a-band of the bioelectrical activity of the brain increased in the spectra of the electroencephalogram. These changes were especially pronounced immediately after the field was turned off. Other parameters (pulse rate, respiration, electromyogram, tremor, blood pressure) did not respond to exposure to the electromagnetic field of the radiotelephone.

Cell phone radiation is complex modulated. One of the components of the signal of all radiotelephones is low-frequency (for example, in the GSM / DCS-1800 system it is 2 Hz). But it is low (1-15 Hz) frequencies that correspond to the rhythms of the human brain, which exceed other rhythms of the electrical activity of a healthy person in intensity. It has been proven that modulated EMFs can selectively suppress or enhance these biorhythms.

The complex mode of modulation of electromagnetic waves of a cell phone makes us think about allergy sufferers: some of them suffer from exceptionally high susceptibility to electromagnetic fields in certain modulation modes already at a low dose of radiation (1-4 μW/cm2). This should be taken into account when intending to use a cell phone. This warning is also important: people talking on a cell phone inside a car are at particular risk. If the antenna of the device is inside the metal body of the car, then it serves as a resonator and greatly enhances the dose of absorbed radiation.

Apparently, no amount of warnings will be able to stop the rapid growth in the number of cellular subscribers. That is why experts around the world see their task in developing clear recommendations for creating a new generation of equipment operating in the so-called gentle mode of exposure.

Meanwhile, radiotelephones are only a small part of the cellular communication system. Its basis is formed by stationary radio transmitters - the so-called base stations (BC). The more aircraft in the system, the more reliable and stable the connection. In particular, there are already more than 500 aircraft in the Moscow region.

Can such a concentration of emitters pose a danger to the population?

According to the recommendations of the Center for Electromagnetic Safety at the Institute of Biophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (general director of the center, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuri Grigoriev), nothing threatens the residents of the house where the aircraft is installed. Cellular antennas radiate in a narrow sector directed away from the house. Repeated measurements, which were carried out in the course of studying the electromagnetic situation in Moscow and the Moscow region, show that regardless of the transmitter's affiliation and its mode of operation, even on the top floor of the house in the immediate vicinity of the emitter, the level of the electromagnetic field does not exceed the background. You can get a certain dose if you just climb onto the roof and stand right in the path of the signal. This should not be done.

As for the neighboring houses, the field strength in them is indeed slightly higher than the background one. However, it does not exceed 0.1-0.5 shares of the maximum permissible level (MPL). So the residents of neighboring houses also have nothing to fear. Moreover, Russian electromagnetic safety standards are the most stringent in the world.

For comparison: in the United States, the maximum remote control ranges from 300 to 1000 μW/cm2, depending on the radiation frequency, while in our country it is only 10 μW/cm2.

If the reader wants to know exactly whether the operation of a particular cellular transmitter is allowed, then you should contact the city (republican) center for sanitary and epidemiological surveillance. There you can also see the results of control measurements of the electromagnetic field in your homes.

4.8. Influence of radiation from television towers

Specialists of the Center for Electromagnetic Safety measured the level of electromagnetic radiation in the apartments of houses located near the Ostankino TV tower. In many surveyed premises, an excess of the maximum permissible level (MPL) by one and a half to two times was found.

The document entitled "Sanitary rules and regulations for the protection of the population from electromagnetic fields of radio transmitting objects" establishes for the population the maximum permissible level of EMP in the range of 30-300 MHz as follows: the intensity of the alternating electric field created by radio engineering objects should not exceed 2 V / m for residential buildings of any kind, children's, educational institutions and other premises intended for round-the-clock stay of people. Experts recommend that the level of electromagnetic radiation in residential premises near TV towers should be reduced not to the maximum control level (2 V/m), but to values corresponding to the average background level - less than 0.1 V/m. This "hard" approach is due to the fact that the development of pathological reactions of a particular organism is significantly affected by the amount of absorbed EMR energy, the modulation mode, the duration of its exposure, and such parameters as age and lifestyle.

Therefore, it is very difficult to talk about a safe level. It is different for different people. In addition, an important fact is the possibility of accumulation of the biological effect of EMR under conditions of prolonged exposure (ie, the effect of cumulation). As a result of this process, there is a possibility of such a distant pathology as functional disorders of the nervous system, changes in hormonal status and, as a result, the development of a tumor process. Children and embryos developing in the womb are especially sensitive to the effects of EMR. All this leads to the need to minimize human contact with EMR, and in some cases completely eliminate this additional burden on the human body.

Russia is the first country where studies of the effects of EMR on the nervous system were started. In 1966, in the monograph of Professor Yu.A. Kholodov "The influence of electromagnetic and magnetic fields on the central nervous system" described the direct effect of radiation on the brain, changes in the function of the blood-brain barrier, the effect on neuron membranes, memory, conditioned reflex activity, described the psychophysiological reactions of a person, chronic depression syndrome. Today it can be considered an established fact that even low-intensity EMF exposure causes a tendency to develop stress reactions and memory impairment.

Introduction

Since the 60s of the last century, a scientific and technological breakthrough in science and technology began. It was at that time that the first computers, radiotelephones were invented, the first satellite communications were developed and launched. In parallel with these innovations, the number of sources of electromagnetic radiation that were common at that time increased: radar stations; radio relay stations; television towers. Around the same time, advanced industrial countries began to be interested in the effects of electromagnetic radiation on human health.

The greatest danger to humans is the influence of electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 40 - 70 GHz, due to the commensurability of the length of electromagnetic waves with the size of human cells.

Over the past 20 years, the number of devices and devices using electricity in the world has increased a thousand times. Now electronics, without which we can no longer do, accompanies us around the clock both at work and on vacation. Televisions, microwave ovens, mobile phones, computers, on the one hand, help us, and on the other hand, they pose an invisible but certain threat to our health - electromagnetic smog - a set of EM radiation from man-made instruments and devices. Most people are exposed to EMFs of varying levels and frequencies every day at work and at home.

As a result of experiments, scientists have found that electromagnetic waves are able to interact with living organisms and transfer their energy to them. Now it is no secret to anyone that a person is able to absorb the energy of electromagnetic waves of a large frequency range, which subsequently leads to heating of living structures and cell death. Scientists propose to recognize the impact of the electromagnetic field on human health as one of the most dangerous factors and take strict measures to protect the population of the Earth.

That is why the problem of the impact of electromagnetic fields on the human body is very relevant to date.

The purpose of the research work is to draw public attention to the problem of the influence of electromagnetic radiation on human health.

Research tasks:

1. To study the influence of the electromagnetic field on the human body.

2. To identify the main harmful factors influencing the computer and mobile phone on the human body.

3. Do your own research.

4. Based on the results of the study, develop important recommendations for the elimination or reduction of the impact of electromagnetic fields on human health.

5. Use the received material for activities to promote a healthy lifestyle within the framework of the college-wide project "Young Medic".

  1. Mechanism of exposure to electromagnetic radiation

Experimental data of both domestic and foreign researchers testify to the high biological activity of electromagnetic fields in all frequency ranges. At relatively high levels of the irradiating electromagnetic field, modern theory recognizes the thermal mechanism of action. At a relatively low level, it is customary to talk about the non-thermal or informational nature of the impact on the body. The mechanisms of action of EMF in this case are still poorly understood.

The biological response is affected by the following parameters of the electromagnetic field: the intensity of the electromagnetic field; radiation frequency; duration of irradiation; signal modulation; combination of frequencies of electromagnetic fields; frequency of action.

The combination of the above parameters can have significantly different consequences for the response of the irradiated biological object. Especially dangerous electromagnetic radiation can be for children, pregnant women, people with diseases of the central nervous, hormonal, cardiovascular system, allergy sufferers, people with weakened immune systems. Persons who have been in the EM zone for a long time complain of weakness, irritability, fatigue, memory loss, and sleep disturbance.

At the moment, science has proven a connection: in places where people are exposed to electromagnetic radiation, cancers and disorders of the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous systems are more often detected.

It is clear to everyone that electromagnetic radiation poses a real threat to human health. It turns out that electromagnetic and radiation fields are close in some of their parameters. This has been proven by both Russian and foreign scientists. The studies carried out in these areas are very promising, their results are now even difficult to imagine and evaluate.

As for EM radiation, they have the greatest impact on the immune, nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems.

Numerous studies in the field of the biological action of electromagnetic fields have identified the most sensitive systems of the body: nervous, immune, endocrine, sexual. The biological effect of electromagnetic fields accumulates under conditions of long-term exposure, as a result of which the development of long-term consequences is possible - degenerative processes in the central nervous system, neoplasms, hormonal diseases. Children, pregnant women, people with disorders in the cardiovascular, hormonal, nervous, and immune systems are especially sensitive to electromagnetic fields.

Influence on the nervous system. The transmission of nerve impulses is disrupted. As a result, vegetative dysfunctions appear (neurasthenic and asthenic syndrome), complaints of weakness, irritability, fatigue, sleep disturbance; higher nervous activity is disturbed - memory loss, a tendency to develop stress reactions.

Influence on the cardiovascular system. Violations of the activity of this system are manifested, as a rule, by the lability of the pulse and blood pressure, a tendency to hypotension, and pain in the region of the heart. In the blood, there is a moderate decrease in the number of leukocytes and erythrocytes.

Influence on the immune and endocrine systems. It has been established that under the influence of EMF, immunogenesis is disturbed, more often in the direction of oppression. In animal organisms irradiated with EMF, the course of the infectious process is aggravated. The influence of high-intensity electromagnetic fields is manifested in a depressing effect on the T-system of cellular immunity. Under the influence of electromagnetic fields, the production of adrenaline increases, blood clotting is activated, and the activity of the pituitary gland decreases.

Influence on the reproductive system. Many scientists attribute electromagnetic fields to teratogenic factors. The most vulnerable periods are usually the early stages of embryonic development. The presence of a woman's exposure to electromagnetic radiation can lead to premature birth, affect the development of the fetus and, finally, increase the risk of congenital malformations.

These are the consequences of exposure to EM radiation. As protective measures, one can name regular walks in the fresh air, airing the room, playing sports, observing elementary rules of work, working with good equipment that meets all safety standards and sanitary standards.

2. The influence of electromagnetic rays emanating from cell phones on the human body

Studies by Swedish scientists have shown that cell phone users (especially owners of old analog models) are at risk of neoplasms in the brain area.

The tumor most often appears on the side of the head where the speaker puts the tube. It is this part that is most exposed to telephone microwaves. This conclusion is contained in a study whose results were published in an interactive review of the popular medical journal MedGenMed.

13 examined patients suffering from malignant or benign brain tumors (with the exception of one) were exposed to microwaves emitted by telephones for a long time. Moreover, they all used old analog mobile devices, which have a more powerful output signal compared to new models.

“As cell phones become more widespread—and many older high-output devices are still in use—large-scale studies are needed to identify the causes and assess the likelihood of disease,” said Dr. George Lundberg, Editor-in-Chief of MedGenMed.

The report "Study of work activity in the conditions of electromagnetic radiation, the influence of medical x-rays and the use of cell phones on the occurrence of brain tumors" was based on a two-year study of 233 patients who had tumors in the brain. For analysis in two regions of Sweden, people of the same sex and age were selected, living in the same area. Based on the results of the analysis, the main risk factors for cancer were identified.

Compared to any other household or office equipment, the mobile phone is more harmful because it creates at the moment of conversation a powerful stream of electromagnetic radiation directed directly to the head. The electromagnetic radiation of the radio frequency range generated by the tube is absorbed by the tissues of the head, in particular, the tissues of the brain, the retina of the eye, the structures of the visual, vestibular and auditory analyzers, and the radiation acts both directly on individual organs and structures, and indirectly, through a conductor, on the nervous system . Scientists have proven that, penetrating into tissues, electromagnetic waves cause them to heat up. Over time, this adversely affects the functioning of the whole organism, in particular, the work of the nervous, cardiovascular, and endocrine systems, electromagnetic waves have a detrimental effect on vision. Studies conducted in Russia have shown the negative effect of electromagnetic fields of a working mobile phone on the lens of the eye, blood composition and sexual function in mice and rats. Moreover, these changes were irreversible even after more than 2 weeks of exposure to them. If you use your mobile phone like a regular home phone, that is, for unlimited time, your immunity is seriously compromised.

Scientists warn: children who use mobile phones are at increased risk of memory and sleep disorders.

The effect of harmful electromagnetic radiation is similar to radio interference, the radiation disrupts the stability of body cells, disrupts the nervous system, causing headaches, memory loss and sleep disorders. Even the most ordinary non-working mobile phone, if it's just lying next to your bed, can prevent you from getting enough sleep. The fact is that the electromagnetic radiation of a mobile phone, even in standby mode, negatively affects the central nervous system, disrupting the normal alternation of sleep phases. As it turned out, not only the electromagnetic radiation of the phone can pose a danger to human health. More recently, a new round of disputes on this topic was caused by events in China, where several people were injured by a lightning strike on a cell phone. In France, the meteorological service also warned all residents of the country that it is dangerous to use a mobile phone during a thunderstorm, because "they are conductors of an electrical discharge and can provoke a person to be struck by lightning." At the same time, you can not call on it, it is enough that it is turned on. In Sweden, they officially recognized the existence of an allergy to mobile phones and took an unprecedented step: all mobile allergy sufferers can receive a substantial amount from the budget (about 250 thousand dollars) and move to remote areas of the country where there is no cellular communication and television. In Russia, a national program in the field of studying the harmful effects of mobile phones on human health should be adopted in the near future. However, “it must be understood that the study of long-term consequences will take more than one year. We will be able to put an end to the discussion about the degree of harmful effects of cellular communications only in a couple of decades.” Indeed, in the immediate vicinity of the most important human organs, when talking on a mobile phone, electromagnetic energy is emitted, the power of which is greatest in the near zone. It radiates energy of the same nature that rotates electric motors and cooks chicken in the microwave. Naturally, this energy penetrates the head, affects the brain and other human organs. Therefore, one should expect some kind of response from them to this impact. Moreover, this reaction can be either immediate, simultaneous with the impact, or delayed and manifest itself later, maybe after hours, days and years. In this case, it is necessary to take into account many factors: the age of a person, the presence of pathologies, his heredity, the physiological state in general and, especially, at the time of using a mobile phone, time of day, seasonal phenomena, temperature, atmospheric pressure, phase of the moon, the presence of drugs and alcohol in blood, type and brand of mobile phone, cellular standard, call duration, frequency of calls, number of calls per day, per month, etc., etc. It is also necessary to add: the size and shape of the ears, the shape and material of the earrings, the presence and composition of dust on the ears and behind the ears, etc.

To date, manufacturers of mobile phones on the devices themselves or in passports warn users about possible harmful effects (they are finally forced!) And they must indicate the relative power level of electromagnetic radiation SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) measured in watts per kilogram of human brain mass. In most countries, the value of 1.6 W/kg is taken as the maximum permissible level. And now you will not meet cell phones with a SAR level of more than 2 W / kg. About 5 years ago, the first cell phones of the old standards had more powerful transmitters and significantly exceeded these levels, but now these values are usually less than 1.5 W / kg, and the most advanced of them have this value below 0.5 W / kg. Expert of the Committee on Ecology of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences A.Yu.Somov scientifically proved that none of the 32 cell phones tested by him meets the declared safety criteria.

In connection with the widespread use of cellular communications, the problem of the influence of the electromagnetic field (EMF) of a cell phone on the human body is currently relevant. The largest group of cell phone users are children and adolescents, whose body is most sensitive to various adverse environmental factors.

It is known that a cell phone at rest periodically emits short bursts of radiation to communicate with the base station. Scientists have suggested that this EMF also affects the physiological and biochemical parameters of the human body.

We can conclude that the electromagnetic radiation of a mobile phone has such a strong effect on the human body that even healthy cells die.

3. The impact of the computer on the health of a teenager

Microwave ovens operate mostly long time(on average from 1 to 7 minutes), TVs cause significant harm only when located at a close distance from the audience. Against this background, the problem of PC electromagnetic radiation, that is, the influence of computers on the human body, is quite acute due to several reasons. The computer has two sources of electromagnetic radiation at once (monitor and system unit).

The duration of work at a computer for modern users can be more than 12 hours, with official norms prohibiting working on a computer for more than 6 hours a day (after all, in addition to the working day, a person often sits at a computer in the evenings).

In addition, there are several secondary factors that exacerbate the situation, these include working in a cramped unventilated room and the concentration of many PCs in one place. The monitor, especially its side and rear walls, is a very powerful source of EMP. And although every year more and more stringent standards are adopted that limit the radiation power of the monitor, this only leads to the application of a better protective coating on the front of the screen, and the side and back panels still remain powerful sources of radiation. According to recent studies, the human body is most sensitive to the electromagnetic field at frequencies of 40 - 70 GHz, since the wavelengths at these frequencies are commensurate with the size of cells and an insignificant level of the electromagnetic field is sufficient to cause significant damage to human health. A distinctive feature of modern computers is an increase in the operating frequencies of the central processor and peripheral devices, as well as an increase in power consumption up to 400 - 500W. As a result, the radiation level of the system unit at frequencies of 40 - 70 GHz has increased thousands of times over the past 2 - 3 years and has become a much more serious problem than monitor radiation.

The increased electromagnetic background largely ensures the impact of PC on people's health. As a result of prolonged work at the computer for several days, a person feels tired, becomes extremely irritable, often answers questions with unambiguous answers, he wants to lie down. Such a phenomenon in modern society is called chronic fatigue syndrome and, according to official medicine, is not treatable.

To date, at least 3 main types of computer impact on humans are known.

It consists in disruption of the functioning of some body systems due to sedentary work. This significantly affected the musculoskeletal, musculoskeletal, and circulatory systems.

consists in concentrating the user's attention on the monitor screen for a long period of time, that is, the harm to the computer can manifest itself in various problems with the visual system.

lies in harmful electromagnetic radiation, which, according to the latest research in this area, can be one of the most dangerous factors for human health

And although over the past 10 years, manufacturers have significantly reduced the level of radiation from the front of the monitor, but there are still side and rear panels, as well as a system unit, the power and operating frequencies of which are constantly increasing, and, consequently, the level of dangerous high-frequency electromagnetic radiation is also increasing. .

Electromagnetic radiation has the greatest impact on the immune, nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems. Not a single scientist or doctor is now able to name all the consequences and symptoms. At the moment, this threat is considered much more dangerous than the impact of half-life products and heavy metals after the Chernobyl accident.

Under the influence of radiation coming from the monitor, the graininess of the image and the bulge of the monitor screen, computer scientists experience irreversible changes in the cornea of the eye. Visually, a person observes a change in the shape of objects, blurry edges, doubling of small images. This disease is not curable, since all current operations correct the imperfection of the optical system of the eye by affecting the cornea, while this disease affects the cornea. Eventually, this disease leads to blindness. Studies have shown that 75% of operators suffer from one or more irreversible visual impairments or eye diseases.

The main problems associated with protecting the health of people using PC-based automated information systems in their work arise from displays (monitors), especially with cathode ray tubes. They are sources of the most harmful radiation that adversely affects the health of operators.

Special measurements have shown that the monitors do indeed emit magnetic waves, in intensity not inferior to the levels of magnetic fields capable of causing tumors in humans.

Even more serious results were obtained when examining pregnant women. Those who spent at least 20 hours a week in front of a computer display were 80% more likely to have a premature abortion (miscarriage) than those who did similar work without using a computer.

Display specifications (resolution, brightness, contrast, refresh rate or flicker rate), if left unaddressed in device selection or improperly installed, can have a very negative impact on vision.

As protective measures, one can name regular walks in the fresh air, airing the room, playing sports, exercising for the eyes, following the rules of working at a computer, working with good equipment that meets existing safety and sanitary standards. It is important to know the rules of working with a computer.

    Materials and results of own research.

To obtain data on the impact of using a mobile phone and working on a PC on human health, a study was conducted, the main methods of which were questioning and measuring the physiological parameters of a person's condition (pulse and blood pressure). The study involved 1-2 year students of the Borisoglebsk Medical College - 158 people. Of the respondents, 88 people from the 1st year (55.7%) and 70 people from the 2nd year (44.3%). Based on the results of the study, a conclusion was made about the impact of a mobile phone and a computer on health. (Appendix 2, Appendix 3)

All participants in the experiment were preliminarily questioned, as a result of which they found out the age, frequency and duration of using a cell phone.

Students were asked to answer the following questions:

1) how often during the day you talking on mobile phone?

2) how for a long time during the day you talking on mobile phone?

3) how often you exchanged SMS messages?

Based on the results of the study, it is important to develop the necessary recommendations to eliminate or reduce the impact of electromagnetic fields on human health.

It was found that 41% of the respondents very often (more than 4 times a day) talk on the phone during the day, 26% - often (3-4 times a day), 15% - 1-2 times a day, 18% - rarely .

According to the results of the study, it was also found that 44.4% talk on a mobile phone for more than 10 minutes, 40.8% - 5-10 minutes and 14.8% - 1-3 minutes. At the same time, 64% of respondents are convinced of the negative impact of mobile phones on human health. Also, an indicator of students' correspondence with SMS messages was revealed. As a result, it was found that 89.0% very often exchange SMS messages during the day (constant communication in chats, "VKontakte"), 10% - often, 1% - rarely (1-2 times a day).

A survey conducted before the start of the experiment with all its participants showed that the subjects have approximately the same level of health and physical fitness. The average duration of conversations on the mobile phone of the participants in the experiment was about 20 minutes per day.

At the beginning of the experiment, the subjects measured their pulse rate and blood pressure. After talking on the phone, the same actions were performed. (Appendix 3)

Revealed a significant increase in heart rate by 9% and found a significant difference in systolic pressure after 5 minutes of telephone conversation by 7-8%.

A change in the pulse rate is a universal operational neurohumoral reaction of the whole organism to any influences from the external and internal environment. The pulse rate can increase with stress, nervous excitement, increased emotional and physical stress, fever, and various heart diseases.

An increase in the pulse rate indicates the greatest vulnerability of the cardiovascular system of the subjects in relation to the EMF of mobile communications. This indicates the adverse effects of EMR (electromagnetic radiation) from mobile communications.

In general, after analyzing the changes in the studied physiological parameters, it can be said that the young body is most susceptible to the adverse effects of the EMR of cell phones, and therefore it is necessary to limit the duration of conversations on mobile communications of children and adolescents and use a cell phone only in case of urgent need.

The conducted studies have shown:

Most often, when working at a computer, the respondents noted headaches, pain in the lumbar spine, pain in the neck and shoulder girdle, pain in the thoracic spine, in the area of the hand, in the elbow joint, sleep disturbance and dizziness;

- Almost half of the students working on the PC, regardless of age group, noted vision problems.

When working with the phone, headaches, fever in the ear area, vision problems (especially at night with constant communication in VKontakte)

All indicators indicating discomfort of the central nervous system (sleep disturbances, dizziness, headaches) tend to increase as the time of work on the PC increases. A similar trend is observed with signs of impaired visual function.

Study Findings

Based on the results of the study, we offer the following recommendations:

To eliminate or reduce the levels of exposure to EMF on the human body, it is important to follow a number of important recommendations:

    do not use a cell phone unnecessarily and talk continuously for no more than 3-4 minutes;

    when buying, choose a cell phone with a lower maximum radiation power.

    avoid prolonged stay in places with a high level of the magnetic field of industrial frequency;

    correctly position furniture for relaxation at a distance of 2-3 meters to electrical switchboards, power cables, electrical appliances;

    when purchasing household appliances, pay attention to information about the compliance of the device with the requirements of sanitary standards;

    use devices of lower electrical power;

    follow the sanitary and hygienic norms and rules when working with a PC;

With the constant development of high technologies, an increasing number of sources of harmful rays appear that surround man and nature from all sides. The issues of electromagnetic radiation and its influence on the human body are being discussed today by world-class scientists.

It is not possible to completely limit oneself from exposure to harmful radiation, but it is possible and necessary to prevent their excess, it is enough to understand what it is.

One of the proven facts of the impact of the electromagnetic field is its negative impact not only on human health, but also on his thoughts, behavior and even the psychological component. Scientists came to this conclusion after studying the long-term interaction of waves with the human body. The sources of these waves are all kinds of electronic devices, computer, WI-FI, power lines and much more.

Thus, based on research, experts have revealed the theory that developing diseases and pathologies in the human body take place due to the influence of rays from the outside. Moreover, decay products can even cause poisoning of body cells. Fortunately, a person can protect himself and his loved ones from harmful waves by knowing the elementary methods of protection against electromagnetic radiation.

Types of electromagnetic radiation are divided into radio waves, infrared (thermal) radiation, visible (optical) radiation, ultraviolet and hard radiation. IMPORTANT: in this case, the answer to the question “does visible light belong to electromagnetic radiation” is positive.

radio wave sickness

By the beginning of the 60s, specialists managed to discover a new trend in medicine - radio wave disease. The spectrum of distribution of this disease is very wide - 1/3 of the population. It cannot be said that in most cases a person is exposed to waves against his will. However, radio wave disease is already indicated by a number of symptoms, including:

  • headaches;
  • dizziness;
  • increased fatigue;
  • sleep disturbance;
  • depression;
  • distraction of attention.

Since such symptoms apply to many varieties of diseases, diagnosing the above becomes extremely problematic. But, like any disease, radio wave is able to develop and progress.

As a result of its spread throughout the body, a person runs the risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias, chronic respiratory diseases, and even fluctuations in blood sugar levels. This happens through the destruction of the electromagnetic field of a person, affecting even the cells of his body.

This disease manifests itself in different ways depending on the organ or system that it affects:

  1. Nervous system - we are talking about a deterioration in the conductivity of neurons - nerve cells of the brain that are susceptible to electromagnetic radiation that affects a person. Thus, a deformation occurs in their work, which leads to a violation of conditioned and unconditioned reflexes, a deterioration in the functioning of the limbs, the appearance of hallucinations, and irritability. There are cases of suicide attempts against the background of a developing disease.
  2. Immune system - in this case, immunity suppression occurs. And the cells responsible for its protection are themselves susceptible to the influence of electromagnetic waves, thus creating an additional negative influence from all sides.
  3. Blood - electrical frequencies provoke the adhesion of blood cells to each other, contributing to the deterioration of blood outflow, the formation of blood clots. Thus, an extra release of adrenaline into the body can occur, which in itself is detrimental to health. There is no need to talk about a violation of the cardiovascular system - an obvious arrhythmia, the development of plaques in the heart muscle and other types of heart failure, as a negative effect of electromagnetic waves on the human body.
  4. Endocrine system - since this system is responsible for controlling the functioning of hormones in the body, the influence of electromagnetic fields speaks for itself. The derivative of this influence is the destruction of the liver.
  5. Reproductive system - often women are more affected by electromagnetic radiation than men. Possessing increased sensitivity to external influences, the female body is able to literally "suck" harmful radiation. This effect is especially dangerous during pregnancy. In the first weeks, the fetus is not strongly attached to the placenta, so there is a high probability of losing contact with the mother with a sharp release of radiation. With regards to later dates, the statistics are such that electromagnetic radiation affects the change in the genetic code of the child, the deformation of DNA.

Consequences of EMP

Radio wave sickness annually acquires new forms, expanding and progressing, depending on the number and level of radiation sources. Experts have identified a number of consequences not only individually, but also in a large-scale sense:

  • Cancer is no secret that oncological diseases manifest themselves under completely different conditions. However, scientists have proven an increase in the negative effects of electromagnetic radiation on cancer cells. Thus, studies in Japan have confirmed the presence of an increased risk of childhood leukemia in people whose bedrooms literally “glow” from the presence of electrical appliances and their components.
  • Violation of the psyche - in recent years, cases of deterioration in the perception of the surrounding world have become more frequent in those exposed to an excessive level of electromagnetic radiation. This is not only about the so-called classic symptoms, but also about the developing fear of EMR. Such fear often develops into a phobia, a person begins to panic at the thought that any emission of radiation can provoke painful sensations in one or another organ or part of the body.
  • Stillbirth - according to official data, today the risk of fetal death increases by 15%, provided that the mother is in constant contact with sources of electromagnetic radiation. In addition to stillbirth, the likelihood of developing pathologies in an unborn child increases, slowing down in development, premature birth, miscarriage. Such is the impact of electromagnetic radiation on human health and future generations.

In addition to the huge negative effect of electromagnetic radiation on the human body, these waves can poison environment. The most susceptible areas include areas with a large accumulation of high-frequency power lines. Often they are located far from residential buildings, however, in individual cases, there is the presence of such power lines near settlements.

The flora and fauna are also exposed to the negative effects of harmful rays. In turn, a person eats irradiated animals and foodstuffs and, as a result, receives an additional dose of radiation-infected particles into his body. Such a process is extremely difficult to control due to factors beyond human control, but it is still possible to influence it.

Facts

To understand what constitutes the effect of electromagnetic fields on the human body, it is enough to familiarize yourself with the following facts:

  1. Changes in the blood and urine of a 9-year-old child 15 minutes after sitting at the computer coincide with changes in the analyzes of a cancer patient. Teenagers are subject to similar influence after half an hour of being near the computer. And an adult undergoes a change in the analyzes after 2 hours.
  2. The signal coming from a portable radiotelephone is able to penetrate the brain at a distance of up to 37.5 mm.
  3. Electricians are 13 times more likely to develop brain cancer than other professions. The level of the magnetic field in such workers is practically destroyed.
  4. A 13-year-old child who talks on the phone for about 2 minutes undergoes a bioelectrical brain change that takes place several hours after the conversation.
  5. Animals, even slightly irradiated with a dose of electromagnetic radiation, began to lag behind in development, acquired pathologies in the body, as with radiation.

The electromagnetic emission standards have the following meanings:

  • Radio waves - ultrashort (0.1mm-1m/30MHz-300GHz), short (10-100m/3MHz-30MHz), medium (100m-1km/300kHz-3MHz), long (1km-10km/30kHz-300kHz), extra long (more than 10 km / less than 30 kHz).
  • Optical radiation - ultraviolet (380-10nm/7.5*10V 14stHz-3*10V 16stHz), visible radiation (780-380nm/429THz-750THz), infrared radiation (1mm-780nm/300GHz-429THz) .
  • Ionizing electromagnetic radiation - X-ray, gamma. A more detailed EMP calculation table includes additional sources of harmful wave propagation.

It is not possible to completely protect yourself from the effects of harmful waves. However, today there are a number of factors that can prevent the excessive influence of electromagnetic radiation on the human body:

  1. Acquisition of a special dosimeter. Such a detector will help to calculate the most dangerous sources of radiation by calculating the frequency of their waves and, as a result, reduce the time spent near such sources or eliminate them completely. Devices for measuring electromagnetic fields are available at any household store.
  2. Separation of radiation sources by area. It is not recommended to operate electromagnetic devices in a close radius between each other, otherwise their negative impact on the environment and the human body increases, causing maximum harm.
  3. Isolation of radiation sources. We are talking, for example, about the refrigerator. It is advisable to use it at a distance from the dining table. A similar situation with a computer or laptop: the distance to the place of deployment (sofa, bed) should be at least one and a half meters.
  4. Exclusion of toys with EMP. The electromagnetic effect of radio-controlled and electrical attributes for a children's room poses a serious threat to the health of an adult, and is extremely destructive for children. It is recommended to rid the room of EMP-radiated toys.
  5. Radiotelephone isolation. This technique is capable of emitting harmful waves to a radius of up to 10 meters. It is extremely important to remove such electronics as far as possible. This method of protection will protect against the main source of harmful radiation, since the radiotelephone operates 24 hours a day.
  6. Avoid buying counterfeit phones. The low price of such goods is due to the harmful radiation of electromagnetic waves per person in the first place.
  7. Careful selection of household appliances. In this case, we are talking directly about devices with a steel case.

In addition to the above factors, there are well-known simple methods of protection against electromagnetic radiation, the observance of which will also allow you to protect yourself from EMR, reducing the risk of exposure to the lowest indicator:

  • It is not recommended to be near a working microwave oven, since its waves have an extremely negative impact on the environment, if we take household appliances in comparison.
  • It is undesirable to be too close to the monitor.
  • Excluded being close to high-frequency power lines.
  • It is recommended to avoid an increased amount of jewelry on the body, which is desirable to remove before going to bed.
  • Approved the presence of electrical appliances, analog household appliances, appliances and wiring at a distance of 2 meters from the bed.
  • A minimum amount of time near working electrical appliances and similar equipment is recommended.
  • It is undesirable to find idle devices in the on state.

Often, people do not attach much importance to the harm that electromagnetic radiation can cause the most common household appliances and other factors surrounding them, because they are not able to see their waves. This feature makes EMR extremely dangerous for the life of all living things.

Having the ability to accumulate in the body, harmful rays affect the vital systems, manifesting themselves in a variety of diseases and ailments. The full scale of this problem will be seen by humanity a generation later - only then will a specific impact on the health of those who happened to live their lives surrounded by EMP sources be indicated.
