My story today is about which fuel minerals are concentrated in the western (European) part of Russia, and which ones are in the eastern (Asian). I will also try to highlight the question of what problems exist at the moment due to the fact that their production is mainly carried out in the east, and the west is predominantly a consumer.

What types of fuel are concentrated in the Asian and European parts of Russia

So, the European part of our vast country is rich in the following types of fuel minerals:

• oil (West-Tebukskoye, Mukhanovskoye, Layavolzhskoye and other fields; in addition, I cannot but mention the fields of my native Bashkortostan);
• brown and black coal (the territory of the Donets Basin belonging to Russia, as well as the basins of the South Yakutsk, Podmoskovny and others);
• oil shale (Baltic basin, St. Petersburg deposit).

The Asian part of Russia is in no way inferior to:

• again oil (Far East);
• natural gas (Western Siberia);
• peat (and again Western Siberia with its largest Vasyugan deposit).

As you can see, the composition of European and Asian minerals in Russia is approximately similar (the reason for this is the country's huge territorial extent); differences (regarding, for example, peat deposits, mainly concentrated in the east) are due to the presence in those areas of giant wetlands.

Problems of concentration of resources in the east, and consumers - in the west

The main problem is, of course, transportation (it takes a long time to transport by rail tank cars, and building a modern gas pipeline is expensive, and maintenance requires funds and a staff of trained specialists).

An important role is played by the fact that many eastern deposits are located in extremely hard-to-reach places. Finally, it should be noted that the development of minerals mainly in the east leads to a geological imbalance: Asian Russia is already beginning to feel "hunger", while the western one is enjoying all the benefits of civilization (of course, adjusted for Russian realities).

Problems that do not concern any particular continent or state, but the entire planet, are called global. As civilization develops, it accumulates more and more of them. Today there are eight main problems. Consider the global problems of mankind and ways to solve them.

Ecological problem

Today it is considered the main one. For a long time, people used the resources given to them by nature irrationally, polluted the environment around them, poisoned the Earth with a variety of waste - from solid to radioactive. The result was not long in coming - according to most competent researchers, environmental problems in the next hundred years will lead to irreversible consequences for the planet, and therefore for humanity.

Already now there are countries where this issue has reached a very high level, giving rise to the concept of a crisis ecological region. But the threat looms over the whole world: the ozone layer that protects the planet from radiation is being destroyed, the earth's climate is changing - and man is unable to control these changes.

Even the most developed country cannot solve the problem alone, so the states unite to solve important environmental problems together. The main solution is considered to be the rational use of natural resources and the reorganization of everyday life and industrial production so that the ecosystem develops naturally.

In the 20th century, when the world's population passed the six billion mark, everyone heard about it. However, in the 21st century, the vector has shifted. In short, now the essence of the problem is this: there are fewer and fewer people. This problem is closely related to demographic and consists in the fact that more than half of humanity is experiencing acute food shortages. Despite the active development of medicine, the emergence of new vaccines and drugs, humanity continues to get sick. Moreover, many ailments threaten the lives of the population. Therefore, in our time, the development of methods of treatment is actively conducted. Substances of modern design are created in laboratories for effective immunization of the population. Unfortunately, the most dangerous diseases of the 21st century - oncology and AIDS - remain incurable.

Space exploration

This space belongs to all mankind, which means that all nations should use their scientific and technical potential to explore it. For the deep study of space, special programs are being created that use all modern achievements in this area.

People know that if these problems do not disappear, the planet may die. But why do many do not want to do anything, hoping that everything will disappear, “dissolve” by itself? Answer: I consider the invention of the Internet to be the most significant achievement of the 20th century, since it allows humanity as a whole to develop not in the technogenic world, but in the digital information one. In my opinion, this is a step towards the future.

2. Explain why the progress of human society is accompanied by the growth and aggravation of global problems of its development?

Answer: a prerequisite for the existence of human progress at the moment are monetary relations, which at this stage of development of human society, have a huge need for energy resources. That is, whoever has these resources is the one who sets the tone in the general "disco". The aggravation of global problems is the result of the struggle for this influence.

Answer: Among the global problems of our time, the following can be distinguished: terrorism, lack of education of 1/3 of the world's population, the growing danger of an environmental catastrophe, humanitarian crises in Africa, and the energy problem.

Answer: because nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction that have the ability to wipe out millions of people and entire cities from the earth in an instant, not to mention the environmental consequences that can put an end to the existence of man as a species.

Answer: I consider ecological problems the most dangerous problem of mankind. Man is a part of the Earth's Biosphere, a detrimental effect on the Earth's Biosphere will necessarily affect the life of a person, and this influence can be fatal.

Answer: In our time, the problem of using scientific achievements has not been solved. Its solution largely depends on the international relations of the Superpowers and their domestic and foreign policies.

Answer: it is development that combines the steady improvement of the economic and social conditions of life with the long-term preservation of the natural foundations of this life.

8. How can the intensification of international cooperation affect the improvement or deterioration of the situation in the world?

Answer: Intensification of international relations in any case affects the situation in the world, the question is, what will this activation be aimed at, if it is positive for solving global issues and problems, and if it is for attempts to seize certain resources, then it is negative. I also think that inaction in international relations will also have a negative impact.

9. What events in the history of the late XX - early XXI century could you call the events of the century? Why?

Answer: if you miss the creation of the Internet, then I can name the collapse of the Soviet Union and the creation of the European Union, as well as the launch of the Andron Collider.

Because the first two events affected the well-being of mankind as a whole, not to mention the change in spheres of influence in the world, and the launch of such a project as the Andron Collider will open up new development prospects for mankind, such as a quantum computer.

10. What do you think, what are the prospects for human civilization in the 21st century?

Answer: I think that everything depends on the person himself, I do not exclude the possibility of almost complete self-destruction of mankind by a number of possible problems, I also do not exclude the transition of mankind to a new stage of technogenic development, perhaps it will be the cybernization of man (combination of man and computer).
