After all, reading is not only learning about some facts, information. To read is to develop your own taste, to comprehend the beautiful.

In the history of mankind there were people who showed us what heights can be achieved through knowledge. Remember the Renaissance, which gave the world the titans of thought, the encyclopedic knowledge of which no one has yet surpassed. Who has not heard of the scientist, artist, musician, sculptor, architect Michelangelo Buonarroti, who also went down in history as a poet who highly appreciated Dante? And the greatest painter, sculptor, poet Leonardo da Vinci was also a brilliant engineer, a scientist who anticipated many inventions of our time. More than one generation of people will bow before the talent of such geniuses.

Life does not stand still. We are confident that even greater prospects will open up in the field of science and technology tomorrow. The main thing is that the great scientific achievements of the 21st century serve for the benefit of man. And if human life is not eternal, then science and knowledge cross the threshold of centuries. Nobody can know everything. KNOWLEDGE IN THE LIFE OF A MODERN PERSON

What role does knowledge play in human life? Everyone who thinks about this question finds the answer for himself. For some, knowledge is power, for some it is recognition in society, for some, gaining knowledge becomes the meaning of life. From our point of view, knowledge is a vital necessity. The one who owns the information owns the world. This is a well-known fact that applies to every person. Folk wisdom says: "If I knew where to fall, I would lay a straw." In the 21st century, we understand the need and value of knowledge. Without them, we cannot survive. It is very difficult to cross the road, not knowing how to do it right, or to provide yourself with everything you need, knowing nothing and not being able to. The knowledge that a person possesses determines who he is. The more knowledge he has, the more opportunities open up in his life. For example, a person who knows several foreign languages, with such capital, has solid opportunities and prospects to improve his social status and financial situation. Today he is an ordinary translator, and tomorrow he can take a management course and become a manager of a large company. Stimulates not only the material factor. Let us recall M.V. Lomonosov, who walked half of the country on foot in order to be able to study. It is necessary to mention two more components of knowledge. This is freedom and protection. F. Bacon is one of the first thinkers who made experimental knowledge the core of his philosophy. He completes the era of the late Renaissance and proclaims, together with R. Descartes, the main principles of the philosophy of the New Age. It is F. Bacon who expresses one of the fundamental commandments of new thinking: "Knowledge is power." This aphorism contains the slogan and pathos of his entire philosophical system. The relation man-nature is understood in a new way, which is transformed into the relation subject-object and enters into the flesh and blood of the European mentality. Man is presented as a cognizing and acting beginning (subject), while nature is presented as a beginning (object) subject to cognition and use. Activist utilitarianism believes that with the advent of man, nature breaks up into a subject and an object, which are both separated and connected through instrumental activity. The natural-science method explores nature as a system of forces that can be calculated. In knowledge, in science, F. Bacon sees a powerful tool for progressive social change. Based on this, he places the "House of Solomon" - the house of wisdom - at the center of public life. He calls on all people to engage in wisdom, not for the sake of scientific disputes, not for the sake of neglecting others, not for the sake of self-interest, power and glory, but for the sake of life itself having benefit and success from it. A philosopher, like any other person who possesses such a treasure as knowledge, encourages people and tries to make life better himself.

Much more can be said about the benefits of knowledge, but I would like to mention their dangers. At all times and under all social systems, learned people are never in power and never rule countries and peoples according to their own understanding and according to their own conscience. This used to lead and leads now to the fact that learned people are reduced to the level of simple workers who receive wages or any other remuneration for their work, even if it is specific and complex, and the fruits of their labor are transferred to the personal discretion of those who pay. From the works and achievements of scientists sometimes, and recently more and more often, the safety and life of a huge number of people, and the planet as a whole, depend. Textbook examples of atomic, biological and chemical weapons in the twentieth century, unfortunately, do not cure humanity of irresponsibility. Moreover, these people are quite consciously instilled that they are only an instrument of society and the state, which can better dispose of the fruits of their discoveries. The power of knowledge in the hands of an unprincipled person can lead to disaster. Therefore, one would very much like to hope that mankind will understand what it already possesses and what else it can master. Knowledge is also a responsibility.

Let's emphasize again. Knowledge is a treasure. Without them, a person condemns himself to a base existence. There are examples in history of how people with comprehensive and deep knowledge reach great heights. The Biblical king Solomon asked God for the only blessing - knowledge. For this he was rewarded with wisdom, love, wealth, longevity. The highly educated, erudite people were the artist and scientist L. daVinci, the commander A.V. Suvorov, the poet, writer A.S. Pushkin and many others. These people are just vivid examples of the great role of knowledge, what it can give a person and how to influence his life.

Every day leaves something good in your memory, which you will later remember on cold winter evenings. Some may object that summer quickly gets boring, that summer is boring because friends have left, there is nothing to do. But that's not the case at all. Even if you stay in the city, you can always find an opportunity to do what you like: museums, exhibitions, a park, a river, a dacha, reading your favorite books, repairing your room, helping your parents and much more. The main thing is to find something you like.

I am looking forward to summer, because in summer you can relax with your parents or friends. For me, summer is always associated with the sea, with unforgettable trips, with field trips. Almost every summer our family rests in the Crimea. The unique beauty of nature, the healing air give us unforgettable impressions for the whole year. You get real pleasure after visiting the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, because the collection of flowers cannot leave anyone indifferent. Everything is memorable and enjoyable. Swimming in the sea and walking along the embankment, the Bakhchisaray Palace and the Swallow's Nest… Crimea is a special place: it inspires people and gives them energy for the whole year.

I also like summer because we often go to nature with friends and parents, we are in the forest. The forest attracts me at any time of the year, but it is especially beautiful in summer. I also like to read and spend a lot of time in the summer reading my favorite books. It's hard for me to say which books I like more: it all depends on the mood, on the state of the soul. Sometimes I want to read historical works or science fiction. Sometimes I enjoy reading love poems. Often I write down my favorite sayings in a notebook. There are favorite books that I turn to repeatedly; Books that I truly enjoy reading. Among these books I can name the amazing novel by M. Bulgakov "The Master and Margarita". I can’t say that I understand everything in this work, but every time I reread individual chapters, I discover something new for myself.

Summer goes by quickly. But sunny warm days, good mood will not leave us for a long time. I wish summer never ended. Autumn is ahead of us. But after all, autumn is a wonderful time of the year, and it was not in vain that A. S. Pushkin loved her.
