Russian Army: Sleeve insignia of the regiments of the Airborne Troops. Russian Army: Patch of the regiments of the Airborne Troops Badge of the 38th Separate Communications Regiment of the Airborne Forces

On August 13, 1947, in the city of Polotsk, Byelorussian SSR, on the basis of the communications center of the 8th Guards Airborne Neman Red Banner Corps and the 13th Guards Separate Communications Company of the 103rd Guards Airborne Division, the formation of the 191st separate communications battalion began.

By September 4, 1947, the formation of the battalion was completed, and it became part of the 8th Guards Airborne Neman Red Banner Corps. This day is considered an annual holiday of the part.

On April 21, 1956, the formation of the 691st separate communications battalion of the Airborne Forces (VDV) began, which ended on June 22 of the same year.

In August 1972, the formation of a communications regiment began. The basis for the formation of the regiment was the 691st separate communications battalion of the Airborne Forces and the mobile communications center of the 879th communications center. The formation was completed on December 20, 1972, and the regiment was given the name "196th Separate Communications Regiment of the Airborne Forces."

In 1983, by order of the commander of the Airborne Forces, the unit was awarded the challenge Red Banner of the Airborne Forces. In 1988, for the successes achieved in the socialist competition among the units of the Airborne Forces and the high military discipline, the regiment was awarded a diploma of the commander of the Airborne Forces. On December 30, 1990, the 196th separate communications regiment was reorganized into the 171st separate communications brigade of the Airborne Forces.

May 9, 1995 for participation in the anniversary parade dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the regiment was awarded a diploma of the President of the Russian Federation. Among the officers and ensigns, 11 people took part in the fulfillment of international duty in Afghanistan.

On February 1, 1997, the 171st separate communications brigade was reorganized into the 38th separate communications regiment of the Airborne Forces. In March 1997, the regiment took part in the exercise of the 106th Airborne Division, conducted by the commander of the Airborne Forces. At the same time, the personnel showed high proficiency, organization, and the ability to act in difficult conditions, as close as possible to combat ones.

The units of the brigade were in groupings of troops in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, where they successfully performed the tasks of organizing communications. Most of the officers and ensigns of the regiment participated in the tasks of the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus, for which many were awarded government awards.

On the basis of the brigade, on the initiative of the former communications chief of the Airborne Forces, Major General Taratuto A.G. The Council of Veterans of the Communications Troops of the Airborne Forces was created. Veterans provide significant assistance in organizing combat training and in educational work with various categories of servicemen. Conscript days are often held on the territory of the brigade, where future soldiers have the opportunity to get acquainted with models of weapons and military equipment, landing equipment, the specifics of the service and life of personnel.

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 25, 2015 No. 157, the regiment (now the brigade) was given the honorary title "g vardeisky.

The village of Medvezhye Ozera is not only a good option for recreation and outdoor activities in the Moscow region, but also the location of the 38th separate guards communications regiment of the Russian airborne troops, or military unit 54164. At the moment it consists of a control battalion and several communications battalions. Story

The 38th separate communications regiment of the Airborne Forces began to form in August 1947 in the city of Polotsk (Belarusian SSR). True, at that time it consisted of a signal unit of the Neman Corps of the Airborne Forces (8th Guards Airborne Regiment) and the 13th Guards Separate Communications Company (103rd Guards Airborne Division). In September 1947, two units became known as the 191st separate communications battalion and became part of the 8th Guards Airborne Corps.
In June 1956, the unit was reorganized into the 691st communications battalion of the Airborne Forces, and already in December 1972 several companies of the 879th communications center joined it. The new formation was named the 196th Communications Regiment of the Airborne Forces.
In December 1992, the 196th regiment became the 171st separate communications brigade of the Airborne Forces. After 5 years, in 1997, the brigade was reorganized - it became the 38th separate communications regiment of the Airborne Forces.

Training of a new generation, soldiers of the 38th communications regiment

The fighters of the regiment were part of the peacekeeping troops in resolving armed conflicts in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also participated in the fight against criminal groups in Chechnya. Today, employees of military unit 54164 are leading in international exercises and help organize the work of teenage military clubs in Moscow. For example, since 1996, the officers of the communications regiment have been working with the Poisk, Paratrooper and Courage clubs.

eyewitness impressions

Most of those whose place of service was military unit 54164 note that the material and living conditions in the unit are good. The soldiers live in the barracks, and some contract employees rent housing in the village of Medvezhye or in Balashikha. Civilians work in the canteen, and in the first-aid post, too. The barracks have showers, a rest room and classrooms.
All infrastructure is concentrated in the village of Bear Lakes. These are shops, and the House of Culture, and cafes, and even a sanatorium.
A sufficient amount of time is devoted to the physical training of paratroopers. Shooting, skydiving and shooting classes are held, but most of the time is devoted to the training of signalmen. Employees of military unit 54164 learn to recognize and send messages both in Morse code and modern communication or navigation systems. There are also field exercises.

Festive formation on the parade ground

The oath, that is, its official part, begins at 10 am, they are allowed into the unit from 9.40. It is noteworthy that at the checkpoint they simply open the gates and do not limit the number of those present. You just need to find the oath table and the platoon of a soldier in the lists on the checkpoint wall. During the taking of the oath, the soldier's parents are allowed to take video and photography. After this event, employees are allowed leave until 21.00 Sunday - relatives write applications addressed to the commander of military unit 54164 and leave their passport as a pledge. The rest of the time, leave is allowed once every two weeks, but soldiers can be visited at the checkpoint on Sundays from 15.00 to 19.00, except for those days when they are on exercises.
Calls to relatives are allowed only on Sundays, from 19.00 to 21.00. Phones with Internet support, photo and video messages are prohibited. All domestic telecom operators operate in Bear Lakes with tariffs for Moscow and the Moscow Region.
Employees receive cash grants once a month. After taking the oath, they are issued cards of the Savings Bank of Russia. Parents can make transfers to the same card. There is only one Sberbank ATM in Bear Lakes. It is located at st. Yubileinaya, 13 and is open around the clock.

For military service at all times there has been a certain set of laws aimed at increasing efficiency in the conduct of hostilities, guard duty, as well as order in interpersonal relationships. In Russian legislation, a number of documents establish the need to provide military personnel. In general, this concept is quite loose, since it is necessary to take into account all the rights of a citizen who is in military service in order to list all the components of allowance. Therefore, the provision is divided into several categories: monetary allowance, clothing provision, medical care, and food housing. For each category

The time of multi-million mass armies is coming to an end. Now the outcome of the battle is decided by relatively few professionals, and the level of training of the fighter and his equipment comes first. Despite the widespread use of electronics on the battlefield, its outcome, as before, is decided by people. The time when a fighter had an AK-47 at his disposal and was protected only by body armor of not the best quality and by no means always gradually becomes history. Almost all advanced armies

Unloading vest, of course, is far from the only type of combat equipment, but today there is such a situation that a fighter, when purchasing equipment, chooses either a combat breastplate or an unloading vest. In addition to Russia, where the RJ vest is included in the standard equipment of an infantryman, vests are used in many armies of the world. In unloading, Turkish mountain riflemen, gendarmerie and rangers are working against the Kurds. With a large selection of different

Increasingly, in news bulletins from hot spots, you can hear the word special forces, which means special forces units as part of various security or law enforcement agencies. This testifies to the increased role of the special operations forces of the FSB and GRU units in the settlement of power conflicts. To effectively achieve the set goals, an appropriate uniform is required, which, in addition to convenience, should protect the fighter from

In matters of national security, there can be no regimes. Sovereignty and inviolability must remain at the highest level every minute of the year. To ensure reliable protection, the state is obliged to maintain an active powerful army, ready at any moment to repel an attack by an external enemy. Military activity is a complex process that does not stop day or night. Even when the personnel, it would seem, are resting, there are duty officers, guards, patrols,

Relations in the army must be strictly regulated. This requirement stems from at least two considerations. The first is that the personnel is a quasi-group organized along some common lines. Psychologists say that if such a group is left to itself, then conflicts in the relationship will soon arise. The second statement is more weighty. The army should be not only numerous, but also functional and manageable.

As long as the soldier has not retired from the reserve and is on the list of personnel of the unit, he is guided by the general military regulations. Certain norms for a serviceman have been developed in the event of his temporary stay outside the unit. But, as you know, the lack of control necessarily leads to the violation of all the rules, and the volume of these violations grows like an avalanche. Therefore, in any garrison, as a mandatory event, the organization of patrols is provided, which is conducted in places

Shoulder straps and ranks in the Russian army were created in order to clearly delineate duties between the military. The higher the status, the more responsibility is assigned to the soldier who was awarded the rank. Shoulder straps play an identification role, that is, they create a visual representation of a military man, namely what position he occupies, as well as his military rank. Shoulder straps and ranks in the army play a very important role, and for different troops they have different external

This sign became the first official symbol that marked the beginning of the development of a strict departmental heraldic system in the Federal Service of the Railway Troops of the Russian Federation. A year earlier, as part of the preparations for the 150th anniversary of the military railway workers coming in 2001, the FSF command decided to start a comprehensive

Military clothing is the key to the high combat capability of the military forces. In Russia, the military uniform meets all the necessary requirements; it is comfortable, reliable and performs its main functions. A new military uniform in our country was released in 2015. Now every soldier of the military forces is equipped with it. Along with the new clothes, new rules for wearing them were issued, which must be observed by soldiers of any rank. Military uniform is divided into three main types

The modern Russian army has a complex hierarchical structure based on the subordination of the lower levels to the higher ones. Unconditional obedience within the limits of the military regulations is determined by law, and violation of the order is punishable by a military court. In order to effectively carry out management activities, the hierarchical system is implemented by assigning a certain military rank to each serviceman. Already at the very beginning of the conscription service, the young man receives the rank of private. Highest rank other than Supreme

Many articles, even from legally savvy specialists, are devoted to various ways to avoid military service. It is gratifying that the proportion of conscripts who are ready to cross the line of the law is quite small. Most of the guys are not only aware of the need to fulfill their civic duty, but also consider it their duty to spend a year in the army as a real soldier who would be an excellent student of combat training, selflessly served the Motherland, was in good standing with officers and became the pride of his

Many people who are ignorant of military affairs may wonder what kind of troops there are in the Russian army. The answer here is very simple Russian units include elite troops, ground units, navy, aviation. Each part performs its own function. For extensive units of the fleet, aviation, ground forces, there are support departments, such as air defense, artillery. Many parts are intertwined. The regiments began to come to the modern look after the collapse of the Russian Empire.

The army, to one degree or another, concerns every citizen, therefore, willy-nilly, people are aware of it. But after all, the army is a too generalized and abstract concept, which includes tanks and footcloths, nuclear weapons and stars on shoulder straps, and much more. The USSR approached its collapse with very primitive equipment, which looked wretched even against the backdrop of the then unpretentious equipment of the NATO armies. However, in the nineties, despite the severe economic crisis and lack of money, progress in the field of military equipment,

Each type and type of troops has its own attributes. In addition to the battle banner and chevrons, the concept of distinctive signs includes shoulder straps. It is by this accessory that one can determine not only the rank of a soldier, but also his belonging to one or another army. However, it is very difficult for an unprepared person to do this. Today we will try to understand the colors and lettering on the shoulder straps of military personnel and cadets of the Russian army, as well as law enforcement agencies. Shoulder straps
