Admission to budget places

At a technical university, in some areas you can study not only on a commercial basis, but also for free. In this regard, many applicants are interested in the passing score for the budget. Unfortunately, the admissions committee never gives the exact figure, because it depends on the number of allocated places for free education, the number of applications and documents submitted, and the results of entrance examinations of applicants.

One thing can be said with certainty - the probability of admission to budget places is high for those people who scored a decent number of points. At the same time, it should be noted that Samara State Technical University allows applicants to maximize their chances for free education. Applicants can apply immediately for 3 selected areas.

Training on a commercial basis

Samara State Technical University (Samara) offers its applicants a huge number of training areas, where training is carried out on a paid basis (commercial form). The cost is annually approved by the order of the educational institution. It (for the selected areas of training) is recommended to be specified in the selection committee.

The cost differs for different specialties. For example, in the direction of "Computer Engineering and Informatics" (Faculty of Information Technology and Automation), it was 42,100 rubles per semester (for first-year students who entered in 2016). Significantly lower cost was in the direction of "Service" (faculty of liberal education) - 37,100 rubles.

Transfer to the budget

Students studying on a paid basis may have the opportunity to switch from a commercial form to a budget. This happens when there are free free places. Individuals applying for such a transition are subject to certain requirements. Firstly, at the time of application, students should not have tuition debts, unsatisfactory results of intermediate certification in subjects. Second, any of the following conditions must be present:

  • loss of one or both parents (legal representatives) while studying at the university;
  • grades for exams (for the previous 2 semesters) only "4", "5" (that is, without "3");
  • students are orphans and children left without parental care;
  • students are those citizens (under 20 years old) who have one parent with a disability of group I; while the income per person in the family is less than the subsistence level.

To move to the free place that has appeared, you must submit an appropriate application. A certain period is allotted for this process by the state technical university. Then a meeting of the commission is scheduled for a specific day. She considers all applications and makes appropriate decisions (on the implementation of the transition of a particular student from paid education to free education or on refusal).

Applicants entering the Samara State Technical University choose various faculties. Some pay attention to it. Training is carried out according to training programs for privates in the reserve, sergeants, and officers. SamGTU students can enter the military department. It gives people the opportunity to get higher education without leaving work. There are more than 50 profiles of bachelor's and specialist's programs, 8 areas of master's degree at the correspondence faculty.

I want to leave my impression about this university. It's better not to come here, it does not give any knowledge. Teachers take a break from work, and teach at a bad level. If you want real knowledge, go to other universities. The rating is in Russia. But in fact, everything is very bad here. I really regret coming here. Do not enter the Faculty of Economics, there is no knowledge and prospects here

I entered without any problems, since I had enough points in the exam. The group initially consisted of 30 people. Then, of course, people started dropping out. Someone left in the first semester under the pretext of "choosing the wrong specialty", someone ...
