When the introduction to the specialty began, and then the specialty itself, then how chopped off. 30% of teachers did not know their subjects at all. The remaining teachers were distributed according to the level of knowledge as follows: 50% knew well, 20% knew well.

I will write about the evening faculty of IT at MIREA. At a good engineering level, they teach mathematics, sopromat and no more than a third of the other specialized disciplines. Our practice in physics was very weak, laboratory and lectures were a little better. Terribly weak programming. Non-core, humanitarian disciplines are completed according to the residual principle, there are no requirements and content.

With the death of Alexander Grigorievich Kushnir, there is no one to remember. Most annoying are teachers of (pre-)retirement age who teach an outdated curriculum. For some reason, female pensioners have a great desire to tell mostly stories from their lives, but there is absolutely no desire to teach. It comes to setting automatic machines for an exam in a technical discipline based on attendance - listened to less than 12 hours of jokes - a score of three, listened to everything - a score of five. Some damn thing. Few sane labs are smothered by design, design, and more design. A terrifying amount of design that replaces the content. Moreover, a diploma, alas, is not a qualification exam, but an exam in design. Burn in hell for these torments, dear comrades.

The first two and a half years, according to the general classical program, there is still nothing, but after that - trash, fumes and revelry, for example. Much has been written about this and, of course, this problem is not only a problem of MIREA, but also of (all) Russian universities. Students have something unflattering to say about the esteemed teachers, their program, as well as the content of laboratory and practical classes, and therefore ... To representatives of the MIREA administration - Please remember the chapters of the automatic control theory course devoted to feedback. You need to take into account the opinion of students, you need to collect feedback and audit the learning activities of your teachers. Moreover, the audit is not formal, based on student and teaching writings, but direct, with the involvement of specialized specialists and expert evaluation of hidden lectures, practices and labs. But I'm afraid you don't need it, because you already know the current state of affairs, and this saddens me the most. Sincerely, fifth-year state student.

I was considering admission to a master's program (non-core for me) in several Moscow universities.

I graduated from the Ural regional university (specialist).

I went to an open day at MIREA, the university made a good impression on me.

After that, my husband went to MIREA for paid preparatory courses for admission to the master's program in the IT direction, a lot of time was devoted to mathematics, since they pass mathematics at the entrance exams.

A state-owned, well-known technical university, free education (on a budgetary basis) is possible on a competitive basis, and we were also guided by the budget.

Strong theoretical teachers are more focused on fundamental knowledge than practical knowledge (for some this is a plus, for others it is a minus). Moreover, those who taught us at the preparatory courses are middle-aged teachers who are engaged not only in scientific activities, but are also practicing leading specialists in their field.

Full-time study in the evenings for masters, that is, you can combine study and work.

MIREA is a very large university, it has several large buildings equipped with modern laboratories.

Outcome:

I immediately refused to enter MIREA just because I needed a slightly different direction, which is not the main one at this university, and my husband, resembling preparatory courses at MIREA, was frightened by the abundance of mathematics. He decided that MESI suits him more in the desired specialization, which he regretted six months later.

Preparatory courses cost 3,600 rubles. To confirm the relationship with MIREA, I am attaching a photo of the contract. That's all that's left (not including knowledge, of course).

Didn't like almost everything. From the appearance of the building (it resembles either a pioneer camp, or some kind of building like the Palace of Congresses) to the organization of the progressive process (very slowly and sleepily). Also, the location and numbering of the classrooms did not inspire (the labyrinths are worse than our Bauman ones). And a bit far to go and to the subway decently uphill to go. I have nothing against this university, but I think that I did the right thing by not becoming a teacher there.

I know English almost perfectly, that's why I read it as it is written - in one word (sorry if it hurt you). About this Katya. If you have not been expelled, then now you must go to the 3rd course. If you see it, you can pass the pruvet.

By the way, when I entered, local students deciphered mirea as the Moscow Institute for the spread of the epidemic of alcoholism.

The attitude of teachers is adequate to the attitude of students.

The quality of education is largely determined by the desire of the student to gain knowledge (you can’t force anything into the head), as well as the time that the teacher has for one student.

Now, there is tension with the latter, because the universities have united, the workload has been increased.

MIREA has a military department, which is a plus.

For me personally, MIREA is a place where you can get a diploma of higher education without much effort. This educational institution allows you to do anything - work, self-study, leisure ... (IT) - Institute of Information Technology, specialty information systems and technology. There are a lot of groups if everyone comes to the lectures at once, you will sit on the floor, seriously. The building is large inside, it seems nice, but if you look closely, everything is cracking, or even cracked at the seams. In lecture halls, the good old benches a la the 70s, it is possible to tear your pants on some kind of nail, it was the case, they were swimming. There are many canteens, the food in them is the same, extremely for an amateur, it is not necessary to dream of something dietary for a couple and without spices. Student life seems to be in full swing: clubs, events, field trips, etc. Scholarships for good-excellent students are about 3-plus, you can become a good-excellent student without even attending a couple) any exam that I had) In general, no one considers omissions, it's all the same to everyone, do labs during the semester and kr and everything will be simple. For reference, I go to the university 2 days a week (officially 6k), I just sort the right pairs)

Positive reviews

Education 1981-1987, Faculty of Cybernetics (formerly - ACS), Department of ACS, specialty - systems engineer. I am upset by the abundance of negative reviews: the university gave an excellent education (maybe I myself took an excellent education, that is, whoever wanted it got it). The potential of education was enough to calmly adjust to the requirements of the economy even 30 years after graduation: the portfolio of business practices includes enterprise process management systems, building / automating business processes, and automating the company's organizational management system, and much more, which became possible only due to the fundamental nature of the education received at MIREA. I hope that the alma mater will regain its former glory

I studied at this university for 5 years and it was 5 great years, I personally do not regret that I went to MIREA. Yes, it's hard, but guys, this is no longer a school for you, if you want to become a person, study!!

MIREA was the first university I went to for an open day. I really liked this holiday atmosphere and I did not want to go to any other DOD. I decided to enter MIREA in Cybernetics. I have been studying for the third year and I am not at all disappointed with my choice.

A good university with excellent teaching staff, a large library and with a lot of opportunities to realize yourself and your skills.

It's all right, I'm glad I'm here.

Not the easiest university in terms of education, but with proper attendance and fulfillment of the tasks set, there should be no problems.

Space for recreation, sports and creativity. Advanced training and the possibility of obtaining a second higher education. Military department for young people.

The possibility of employment starting almost from the first year - there is plenty of work at the university.

I like the university, I entered that year, I completed both sessions perfectly, I get a good scholarship (I think it’s a big plus, especially if I’m from another city), the campus is located near the metro, the presence of large and good canteens pleases. I studied law at the university, went through many schools for my own development, there are many opportunities to realize myself.

After studying at this university for a year, I was very pleased with my choice. The university provides good basic knowledge in the specialties, and students also do internships not only in the Admissions Committee, but also in such state institutions as the Ministry of Sports, etc. Sports activities are well developed. Every year, autumn and spring Spartakiads and other various events in this direction are held. Studying here is interesting and not difficult!

I have been studying remotely at MIREA for the second year already (I am getting a second degree in parallel with the first). Specialty - business informatics, very well combined with my first education in the field of innovation. I really like this form of training, I don’t see any special shortcomings! Unless you see your classmates, but this is a so-so minus. I think that studying remotely is much better than, for example, in absentia, because I see no reason to go to the university for sessions when the current level of technology allows you to take exams at home and not go through half of Russia to Moscow every six months. Saves a lot of money. As elsewhere, with such a system, you need to study a lot yourself, but in principle, you can get a good education in person only by making great efforts.

He went where he had long dreamed of. They teach very well. Before, I just screamed from torment, I thought that it was impossible to learn that we were being knocked down, but then everything went like clockwork, I realized that they didn’t ask us for anything out of the ordinary, everything is doable, you just need to teach and try a little. I'm in my third year now and will be graduating soon. I liked the social life here, the condition of the buildings. Buffets are very diverse for all sorts of sweets, which is just not enough for a student. Who enters only here, remember that lectures are not for sleeping, but to receive the necessary material.

I'm finishing my bachelor's degree. Majoring in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Cybernetics.

I will not say that it has always been very easy to study - appropriate attendance, academic performance and communication skills with the group team and teachers play a very important role in learning in general.

The reward for you will not only be having enough free time.

The university hosts many events, festivities, concerts and shows. Active student life.

Lots of clubs and sports clubs.

Military department, driving school, regular trips.

In the learning process - directly practice, practice at enterprises where there is a possibility of employment already from the 2nd-3rd year and, of course, working out of summer production practice.

Intra-university work.

Advanced training and second higher education.

In general, the university has great opportunities.

I never regretted that I chose MSTU MIREA! Studying here is quite easy, there are both excellent teachers and not very good ones (but this is the case everywhere). Also, in addition to studying here, each person can find something for himself, develop himself in a creative or scientific direction, and for free (I have never heard of such opportunities!). But, of course, every student of MSTU MIREA has the opportunity to participate in student life, helping to arrange various holidays,) In my opinion, MSTU MIREA is the quintessence of good study and potential development in every student.

Advantages:

  • good university
  • nice teachers

Disadvantages:

  • Bad canteens

I have been studying at this university since 2012, I really liked it. The teachers are pretty good, but there are also individuals. The rector of the university is good, canteens are not very good, sometimes you can find a live cockroach in a plate with potatoes, so to speak, pure protein) but laughter is laughter, but this is a bit too much. Physics labs are unfortunately not at the highest level. The rulers are still from Ikea. Computer classes haven't progressed far either, a lot of old computers running Windows 98. But in our university there is a military department. The teachers on it are lieutenant colonels who know their stuff. The discipline is very strict. Therefore, the university is not so bad.

I am getting my first higher education at the Moscow Technological University, direction "Management", profile "Project Management".

At the Moscow Technological University I study in the very first stream already in the 4th year, I transferred from MESI (it was closing) to MIREA. My choice fell more on the fact that the leaders of the CDO also moved from MESI - Molchanov Alexander Sergeevich and Kozlova Tatiana Valerievna. In general, the training is going well. For each subject we hand over 2 forums, 2 tests and a task. Points are given for 5 tasks. It is very useful that teachers make video lectures on all topics of the subject. Subjects can be taken throughout the semester, there are no deadlines - this pleases. The main thing is that everything should be handed over before the session. The only thing that is not always convenient: the session runs according to the schedule. But there is a plus here - the teachers go forward and appoint another day for the exam at the end of the session, if you did not have the opportunity to pass on the appointed day. Or you can pass the subject in another stream with other groups. As a mother with a child and a job, distance learning is very suitable for me. Also in the CLC, certificates are issued for a session, which make it possible to leave work for 21 days and calmly pass the session. In general, teachers are responsive, go forward and help students with difficulties.

For me, this university has a very convenient form of education - distance learning. There is no need to break away from family, from work, spend vacation or work extra hours at work during the session so that there is an opportunity to study. The road would also take a lot of time, because I live in the outback. And here everything is convenient and simple. Knowledge is good. I can safely say: I study here not for the sake of a crust, but for the sake of real knowledge and skills.

I am getting a second higher education here in parallel with the main specialty (I really wanted to get a diploma from a Moscow university). Already the third course. In principle, I was satisfied - I think that it is more convenient to study remotely than just by correspondence, especially if you live very far from the university. Of course, you need to learn a lot on your own, in this regard, distance learning is very difficult, lazy people will not pull it) The level of knowledge gained depends only on the student himself! But a huge plus is the very opportunity to receive education in this form, especially in a state university.

I entered in 2015 and did not regret it. The score was not high, but I was able to pass on a budget without olympiads and additional points. All couples pass differently, some are easy, some are difficult to learn information, after university I come very tired, but satisfied, because I learn a lot of new and interesting things. There are many excellent teachers who are on the same wavelength with the students. As for extracurricular activities, it gives a lot of vivid impressions and emotions! After training, there are good prospects for further employment.
