Patients, along with recommendations to follow a diet, physical activity, received this medicine for free. After a month, three months, half a year, changes in the weight and volume of patients were recorded.

The next 20 patients, who were treated later, had to buy the drug with their own money, and it was expensive. And unexpectedly, it turned out that the results of treatment of those who paid for the medicine are significantly better than those who received it for free. Apparently, patients who bought the drug for a lot of money followed medical recommendations more carefully. So, on the one hand, it's good when medicines are cheap, treatment is free, but one cannot but take into account the other side, especially in situations where the patient must actively participate in treatment.

I think this applies to all diseases, but especially those in which psychotherapy is used along with medicinal effects, primarily neurotic disorders. Now depressive states are leading among neurotic disorders, so antidepressants have to be prescribed. All of them reduce depression. Some of them have an activating, exciting effect, while others, on the contrary, are hypnotic. Recently, balanced antidepressants have also appeared.

Who is more likely to suffer from neurotic disorders?

They really have headaches, panic attacks, sleep disturbances, problems with the menstrual cycle, with weight. But all this is purely psychogenic in nature.
