Voronezh Institute of Food Industry official. Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies (VGUIT): description, faculties, reviews

Engineering Technologies is a specialized educational institution, the main task of which is the multi-level training of highly qualified personnel for the food and chemical industries, energy and communications. In the process of teaching students, information and computer technologies are actively used, which allows applicants to acquire deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their chosen specialty.

History reference

Engineering Technologies traces its history back to the Voronezh Technological Institute, founded in 1930. It was the first engineering institute in the city. It was supposed to train engineers for the production of starch, molasses, sugar and alcohol, conduct research in these industries, develop equipment, new technologies. By the beginning of the 1940s. the number of students exceeded one and a half thousand people.

The beginning of the Great Patriotic War made adjustments to the measured life of the educational institution. Most of the students and staff went to the front. The war changed not only the training program for engineers, but also the research topics of the institute. Its employees took part in the development of components for jet fuel for rockets to the famous Katyushas, as well as anti-inflammatory drugs.

After the war, scientific work intensified. A number of employees of the institute became outstanding scientists: the winner of the State Prize Professor Malkov, professors Knyaginichev, Chastukhin, Ptitsyn, Ivannikov, Novodranov and others.

In 1975, the Institute began teaching foreign students from all over the world. And in 1994, the Voronezh Institute of Technology was transformed into an academy. In 2011, the Voronezh State Academy of Technology was given the status of a university.

Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies

Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies (VSUIT) is one of the leading, oldest universities in Russia for the training of highly qualified personnel, mainly for the chemical and food industries. The university was formed on July 23, 1930.

Today, VSUIT is the only university of this type among all higher educational institutions in Russia from Moscow to Krasnodar. The university recently celebrated its 80th anniversary.
The university offers the following levels of training: bachelor, graduate, master, advanced postgraduate degrees, higher doctoral studies.

History of VSUIT

The beginning of the history of VSUIT is considered to be the year of its foundation - 1930. Then it was also called VIPP - Voronezh Institute of Food Industry.

The task of the new department was to train specialists for various types of industry: sugar, fat, fermentation, starch and leather.
In total, the faculty had two departments: the department of agricultural technologies, headed by the ceramics engineer M.V. Evteev, and the Department of General Chemistry, headed by Professor A. V. Dumansky.

Already in 1929, the technological department was transformed into the Faculty of Technology. P.M.Silin became its dean.

Structure of VSUIT

The Voronezh State Technological Academy has nine faculties. Here you can choose what you like best and what you will be interested in doing.

· Faculty of Ecology and Chemical Technology;
· Faculty of humanitarian education and upbringing;
· Faculty of continuing education;
· Faculty of Technology;
· Faculty of pre-university training;
· Faculty of Economics;
Faculty of food machines and automatic machines;
· Faculty of Automation of Technological Processes;
· Faculty of secondary vocational education.

In 1930, the Faculty of Technology was transformed into VIPP - Voronezh Institute of Food Industry. In 1932, VIPP was renamed into VKhTI - Institute of Chemical Technology. At the same time, there was an attempt to transform the university into a pedagogical institute.

In 1940, the Faculty of Mechanics was established. And the total number of students increased to 1500 people. Now the teaching staff is finally fixed.

In 1950-59, in the structure of the current Leningrad Institute, there were some changes in the teaching staff and the composition of students. Associate Professor S.Z. Ivanov. The Institute has become the largest educational institution for the training of engineers in the food industry. They adopted a resolution on the transfer of the university to the city of Voronezh "in connection with the streamlining of the network of educational institutions in the country and their approach to production."

In the 90s, new faculties of humanitarian education and upbringing and pre-university training were created, VTI received a new status and was renamed VGTI - Voronezh State Technological Academy, since by that time it had become the largest of the technological universities. New departments of applied mathematics and economic-mathematical methods, marketing activities and labor organization were created. The student canteen was converted into a training and industrial catering enterprise. For success in scientific and pedagogical work, the Order of Honor was awarded to Professor I.T. Kretov.

Postgraduate studies have been opened in the specialty "Economics of Entrepreneurship". For the first time, a scientific and methodological conference on modern teaching technologies in higher education was held.

In 2011, by order of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Voronezh State Technological Academy was renamed into the Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies.

You can learn more about all the information you are interested in about the university, as well as learn about the rules for admission and submission of documents by visiting the official website of VSUIT.

VSUIT is one of the oldest and leading universities in Russia for the training of highly qualified personnel for the food and chemical industries.

The Voronezh State Technological Academy is one of the oldest and most popular universities not only in the city, but also in the region. It consists of 6 faculties: technological, economic, automation of technological processes, food machines and automatic machines, applied biotechnology and the faculty of ecology and chemical technology. Specialists are trained in 26 and bachelors in 11 areas. There are postgraduate and preparatory courses.

History of the university

Universities in Voronezh have a long history. In 1923, on the basis of the Voronezh Agricultural Institute (VSKhI), on the initiative of the director of the institute, Professor A. V. Dumansky, a technological department was created. Over time, it grew and in 1930 was transformed into the Voronezh Institute of Food Industry. At this stage, the university was faced with the task of training qualified personnel for the sugar, starch-treacle, alcohol and fermentation industries. Three departments were opened: technological, mechanical and economic planning.
In the summer of 1931, narrowly specialized faculties were allocated, each of them trained specialists for a separate branch of the food industry. As of December 1931, 712 students were studying at the institute.
At that time, all sectors of the country's food industry experienced an acute shortage of personnel, being interested in high-quality training of students, enterprises constantly maintained contact with the educational institution. The teaching staff, with the direct assistance of the students, studied and disseminated the best practices of industrialists and, in turn, developed manuals on the technology of processing agricultural products.
On the initiative of V.I. Popov in 1936, a scientific and experimental laboratory for the production of fermentation products, including alcohol, was created at the institute. This "mini-factory" allowed students to master technological equipment during the learning process.
In 1940, the Faculty of Mechanics was opened, and the number of students increased to one and a half thousand people. At that time, the teaching staff of the institute included the leading scientists of the country: A. V. Dumansky, I. D. Buromsky, A. I. Borshevsky, P. M. Silin, M. V. Likhosherstov, N. Rozanov, V. N. Stabnikov, S. E. Kharin, V. I. Popov and many others.
With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the life of the university changed. Many teachers and students went to the front, and those who remained did their best to contribute to the cause of victory. The subject of research work has changed a lot. Employees of the institute took an active part in the development of the famous "Katyusha" and the creation of anti-tank incendiary mixtures.
In July 1942, all Voronezh universities were evacuated to the city of Biysk, Altai Territory. Education and scientific work did not stop during the evacuation. The staff of the institute was able to return to their native land only in 1959.
In 1965, VTI received the status of a higher educational institution of the first category. At that time, the university already had a significant material base, and consisted of 435 employees and more than 8,000 students.
For more than eighty years of history, the Voronezh Institute of Food Industry has undergone many changes and today it is the Voronezh State Technological Academy.
