Department history

The training of students in the specialty "personnel management" (with the qualification "manager") began at the Faculty of Management since 2001. KubSU was among the pioneer universities, because Until 2000, there was no recruitment for such a specialty in the Russian Federation. The Department of Personnel Management and Organizational Psychology was founded in April 2006 as a graduating department in the named specialty. Luzakov A.A. became the head of the department. Earlier, since 2001, organizational, scientific and methodological support in the new specialty was carried out mainly by the Department of Social Psychology and Sociology of Management (head of the department - A.N. Kimberg, in 2002–2004 - acting head. department A.A. Luzakov). Here the main composition of teachers was formed. Most of them have been training future managers and psychologists for several years who specialized in working at enterprises, participated in the training of practical managers, had experience in consulting on personnel management, or experience in the field of personnel management in commercial organizations.

The system of training personnel managers in Russian education in the first half of the 2000s was only taking shape, and KubSU took one of the leading places in it, as evidenced by this fact. In 2004 The Educational and Methodological Association (UMO) of Russian universities for education in the field of management adopted a scheme for coordinating educational activities in the federal districts of the Russian Federation, according to which in the Southern Federal District the Kuban State University became the head authorized university in the specialty "Personnel Management" (see the magazine "Personnel Service and personnel”, 2004, No. 9, p.69).

The department is among the developers of state educational standards for bachelors and masters (FSES-3) in personnel management in 2010.

For 12 years, about 800 specialists, bachelors and masters have graduated in the specialty / direction "Personnel Management". Currently, the department is graduating for students studying in the direction of training "Personnel Management" (bachelor's and master's programs). Undergraduates study under the master's program "Management of the human resources potential of the organization." The department also participates in the educational process in other areas of training, provides core disciplines in the program "Personnel Management of the Organization" of additional professional education at KubSU. The results of scientific research are being introduced into practice. Diagnostic, training and consulting services are provided to enterprises and organizations. Students and graduate students of the department present the results of their scientific work at the sections of the annual All-Russian scientific and practical conference of students, graduate students and young scientists “Man. Community. Management: the view of young researchers” (KubGU). The demand for graduates in the labor market, their professional advancement is largely ensured by the fact that close ties with employers have been established and maintained. This allows you to adjust the content of training programs in a timely manner. Each year, representatives of employers are included in the state attestation commissions. The department actively promotes the employment of graduates. Graduates are in demand by the region's economy, many of them work in other regions. They hold the positions of HR managers, specialists and heads of personnel services in trading, manufacturing companies, banks, insurance, recruiting and consulting companies. Employers give positive feedback about specialists.

In 2016, the Department of Personnel Management and Organizational Psychology celebrated its 10th anniversary. The solemn event was attended by representatives of organizations - trade, manufacturing, financial, consulting, medical, educational - in which graduates work and with which cooperation is maintained. The department is the organizer of scientific and practical conferences and round tables of scientists and practitioners. Three all-Russian conferences "Actual problems of personnel management and organizational psychology" were held with the publication of materials. About the faculty

The universities of the USSR did not train professional managers; in those days, management was not treated as a professional activity based on a scientific basis. In 1992, a small group of KubSU teachers managed to put into practice the idea that government officials needed officials with the appropriate higher education. It is deeply symbolic that with the formation of new Russia, a new faculty of KubSU was developing - the faculty of management and psychology.

Over the years of its existence, the faculty has grown not only qualitatively, but also quantitatively: new specialties and directions for preparing undergraduate and graduate students, new departments, a new building, computer classes and a library have appeared.

How it all started

KubSU today is an educational organization in Krasnodar, where more than 29 thousand people study. And the history of this university began with the opening of a small educational institution in 1920 - the Institute of Public Education. It was created for the purpose of training teachers.

The Institute of Public Education is not the only name that the Kuban State University (KubGU) bore in the past. Renamed several times:

One of the rankings, indicating the achievements of the university and the provision of quality education, was compiled in 2009. The ReitOR agency evaluated a huge number of educational institutions in Russia and other countries. In 2014, KubSU entered another rating of higher educational institutions in Russia and the CIS countries. It was compiled by the Expert Ra rating agency. During the evaluation, it was included in the list of the best educational organizations. He was assigned a rating class "E", which denoted a sufficient level of graduate training.

The first feature of KubSU: pre-university training

An important feature of the Kuban State University (KubGU) is the implementation of pre-university training. It is handled by a specially created structural unit - the Institute of General Additional Education and Test Technologies. It was opened at the university in order to help applicants prepare for exams and develop their creative abilities. The Institute of General Additional Education and Test Technologies combines more than 20 small divisions. Each of them is responsible for the implementation of specific general educational, general developmental programs.

It is important to note that at the university, pre-university training is offered not only in the form of courses that may seem boring for many applicants. An example of an unusual form of education is associated with the organization of summer holidays for children. In the summer of 2016, university teachers went to the camp, where they thought out an interesting and educational pastime for schoolchildren. Children were offered sports and creative competitions. The second feature of the university: the availability of vocational programs

Many applicants, entering the Kuban State University (KubSU), think that only programs of higher professional education are offered here. Such an opinion is erroneous. KubSU additionally trains mid-level personnel for various areas of modern life, which means that the university has a variety of secondary vocational education programs.

The offered specialties are related to tourism, restaurant business, design, advertising, pharmacy, economics and law. Among all the programs, it is worth highlighting "Beekeeping". This is a unique specialty, because only the Kuban State University offers it in the region. Other educational institutions do not provide similar training.

Some students speak negatively about the university. Corruption forces them to leave bad reviews about the Kuban State University (KubSU). Those who complain about the financial interest of teachers claim that students with a low level of knowledge pay university staff and receive good grades in return.

Opinions of students about extracurricular life at the university

Students of KubSU say that the university offers interesting options for spending time in their free time. There are 7 creative teams-clubs in the educational institution. There is also a chess club. In it, students prepare for all-Russian and international competitions, individual championships.

In conclusion, it should be noted that Kuban State University is sometimes confused with another university - the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. These are completely different educational institutions. KubSU does not specialize in the production of personnel for a particular area. The university graduates specialists for various spheres of life, from economists and managers to teachers and designers.
