Event progress
Hans Christian Andersen was born on April 2, 1805 in Denmark.
In blooming Denmark, where I saw the light,
Takes my world its beginning;
In Danish, my mother sang songs to me,
My dear whispered fairy tales to me ...
I love you, wave of native seas,
I love you, old mounds,
Flowers of gardens, native forests, meadows,
I love you, my fathers country.
<…>
H. K. Andersen "Denmark is my homeland"

Andersen's father was a shoemaker, and his mother was a laundress. The boy grew up in poverty: he slept in a small room filled with workbenches and tools for shoemaking. But from early childhood, Andersen was familiar with fairy tales and loved them very much. At first he liked to listen to them. Tales were read to him by his father, and told by his grandmother. Fairy tales immersed the impressionable boy in the mysterious world of magic.
Gifted with a rich imagination, Andersen could play alone for hours. He did not need noisy children's companies. Any twig, stick or pebble came to life in his imagination and told their amazing stories. From these stories later his fairy tales were born.
In total, Hans Christian Andersen wrote more than 150 fairy tales in his lifetime. We have a lot of Andersen's books in our library. (The host shows the books) Guys, what fairy tales of Andersen have you read? (Children call) Now we will check how carefully you read them. I will ask questions and you will answer. For every correct answer you get a token. At the end of the lesson, we will count the tokens. Whoever has more of them, those of you will receive prizes.

Introductory talk: about biography

Guys! For today's lesson, you have read the fairy tales of the writer Hans Christian Andersen. The first part of today's lesson is devoted to the biography of the writer.

The writer was born in 1805 in Denmark, a small Scandinavian country in northern Europe. H. K.'s hometown of Odense seemed mysterious and beautiful. The city was famous for its wood carvers. According to one simple washerwoman, right under Odense is a Chinese kingdom. Little Hans believed it. The boy imagined how one day a Chinese prince would come for him and take him to his kingdom. He will return to his hometown rich and famous and build a castle.

It's like a fairytale! Perhaps this was the first fairy tale he composed. H.K. was born into a shoemaker's family, his father died early, but the boy was lucky. There was a man who helped him get an education. State Councilor Jonas Collin. Andersen felt good in Collin's house, they supported him here, they believed that a bright future awaited the young man. Fairy tales were still far away.

Andersen was a singer, had a wonderful voice. Was a dancer. But he left the ballet, as no outstanding abilities were found.

He did not start his writing career with fairy tales. He wrote theatrical plays, poems, novels.

In addition, Andersen was an avid traveler. "Who travels - lives," the writer believed. He traveled all over Europe, but never visited Russia, although he considered it the pearl of all European states. As for America, it is believed that he was afraid of moving across the Atlantic Ocean. He wrote several books about his travels. During his travels, Andersen met many interesting people: writer Charles Dickens, composers Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann, writers Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas père.

Once, while in Germany, after a magnificent reception at the royal palace, Andersen decided to pay a visit to the old Jacob Grimm. And imagine, he did not know who Andersen was. And asked him what he wrote? And Andersen by that time had created a number of his most brilliant fairy tales: The Nightingale, The Ugly Duckling, The Snow Queen, The Shadow...

Thanks to fairy tales, Andersen's name gained immortality. And before Andersen, there were storytellers in Denmark. But only literary critics know about them. What is the riddle? Why everyone knows Andersen's fairy tales? What is special about them?

Andersen wrote his fairy tales the way he would tell a child. The language of his stories is simple and concrete.

And now we start the game!

Ole Lukoye:

I am Ole Lukoye,

I am a fairy gnome.

I am Ole Lukoye!

All children are familiar.

I will open the umbrella

I will give you a dream.
