The scientific path of Nikola Tesla needs to be understood and continued. Scientist with a capital letter

Nikola Tesla was born in the village of Smilany, which belonged to the Austrian Empire, on July 10, 1856. Today it is the territory of modern Croatia. The life of the most famous scientist and inventor was cut short on January 7, 1943 in New York (USA). Nikola Tesla was an outstanding scientist - physicist, as well as an unsurpassed mechanical and electrical engineer. During his 87 years, he managed to come up with about 1 thousand inventions and discoveries, get more than 800 patents for inventions in various fields of mechanics and electrical engineering.

All his life he was accompanied by various rumors and legends that have remained a mystery to this day. A world-famous scientist was called by many a hoaxer and a magician. Tesla managed to move away from generally accepted stereotypes in science to such an extent that even today scientists cannot explain and understand much.

There is even a statement that Tesla was involved in the Tunguska phenomenon and came into contact with aliens. Some scientists attribute certain inventions of Tesla to those suggested by alien races. At one time, the scientist managed to catch mysterious radio signals, which, in his opinion, came from space. Tesla took this issue very seriously. He even had to build a giant tower on Long Island, which he dubbed the "World System". With the help of this structure, Tesla hoped to establish contact with aliens.

The potential and inventive activity of the scientist were simply amazing. He was a professional linguist, wrote poetry, could speak 8 languages, understood music and philosophy. On the one hand, he was a strange eccentric, and on the other, an unsurpassed genius. Walking down the street, for no reason at all, he could do an acrobatic somersault or just stop and recite a few chapters from Faust.

Science for Tesla was the meaning of life. He had to sleep for several hours a day, and he set aside a couple of hours of sleep for pondering ideas. Lord Kelvin said about him as about the most devoted person to the science of electricity from all the contemporaries existing at that time.

After 1900, Tesla received a large number of patents for his inventions relating to various areas of technological progress. His inventions are still used today - electric meters, frequency meters, steam turbines and much more.

His inventions changed the world. He found alternating current, fluorescent lighting, wireless power transmission. He was the first to create an electronic clock and a solar-powered engine. Radio is also Tesla's invention, not Marconi and Popov's. Tesla received a three-phase current by overtaking Dolivo-Dobrovolsky.

The entire energy industry of the 20th century was based on Tesla's inventions.

For his services in 1917, Tesla was to become the winner of the Edison Prize and receive a medal as an electrical engineer. But he was not satisfied with the fact that he was put on the same level as Edison, who vehemently criticized alternating current. Many of Tesla's inventions were never patented and did not have blueprints. The mysterious disappearance of the diaries and records of the scientist did not give humanity the opportunity to get fully acquainted with the scientific activities of this unique person.

In Belgrade, there is the Nikola Tesla Museum, which stores many personal belongings of the scientist, his photographs, engineering documentation, personal letters, orders, medals and diplomas, drawings and much more. Here you can see Tesla's original working models - an egg, a high-frequency oscillator, prototypes of modern telecommunication systems and radio control. Many modern scientists argue that the world will wait for a long time for the emergence of a brilliant mind that will resist Tesla and his self-sacrifice in the name of science. In 1889, during the period of research on high-frequency currents, Tesla invented a resonant transformer, which made it possible to obtain high-frequency discharges with an oscillation amplitude of millions of volts.

The simplest model of such a transformer can be created using two coils. There is no ferromagnetic core between the windings of the coils, and the resulting mutual induction between these coils is small. The resonance that occurs due to the appearance of an electric discharge in the spark range makes it possible to endow the transformer with unique properties.

Tesla was once called a sorcerer, as he had to demonstrate the operation of a high-frequency transformer in public. To the amazement and fright of the public, Tesla was connected to his apparatus, and ominous lightning burst out of his palms.

Although these discharges caused panic in people, they were absolutely safe for humans, since high-frequency currents, passing through the surface of human skin, do no harm.

Transmission of electricity without wires.

After reading such a headline, many of you will ask, is it possible to transmit energy without a conductor (i.e. without wires)? At the end of the 19th century, Tesla clearly demonstrated a method of transmitting electricity without wires over a long distance. He explained this phenomenon by the action of terrestrial stationary waves. Of course, the apparent illusion of the absence of a conductor, which we are accustomed to seeing in the form of wires, is erroneous. The conductor in this case is the Earth.

To conduct this experiment, Tesla built a large tower with a large copper sphere on top in the city of Colorado Springs (USA). When the installation was started, electric discharges appeared in the form of lightning, which reached a length of about 40 meters, and thunder was heard at a distance of 15 miles. The tower was surrounded by a 30 meter flaming ball. Many people were surprised when sparks jumped between the soles of their shoes and the pavement. Those who wore metal horseshoes on their shoes or were generally barefoot could receive an electric discharge. Metal products in contact with the earth's surface began to glow with a blue halo, which was called the "fires of St. Elmo". But these amazing and frightening experiments did not last long in Colorado Springs, and the generator at the local power plant failed.

But the man who put on this enchanting show in Colorado Springs did not intend to scare the locals. His goal was to light 200 electric light bulbs at a distance of 40 km from the constructed monster tower. The result of the experiment showed that it is possible to transmit electrical energy over a distance without the use of wires. This Tesla experiment was carried out once and after that none of the scientists repeated it.

A description of this experiment and much more that took place in Tesla's laboratory in Colorado Springs can be found in the publication Colorado Springs Diary, 1899-1900.

What is Tesla's "World System"?

At one time, Tesla was invited by the famous American millionaire P. Morgan to New York to work on a project to create a World Wireless Transmission Center, which also had the name "Wordenclyffe".

This project was supposed to rely on the idea of resonant buildup of the ionosphere. The bank gives Tesla a significant amount of money, with which he builds his 60-meter tower with a steel shaft, which is lowered underground to a depth of about 40 meters. At the top of the tower is a metal dome with a diameter of 20 meters and a mass of 55 tons. Tesla called his construction the "World System" and expected to use it as a means of communication on Earth and with extraterrestrial races.

To implement his plan, Tesla expected to build four more such towers. The second was to be located in Amsterdam, the third in China, the fourth and fifth at the North and South Poles. But the implementation of this plan was delayed.

The first test of the transmitter tower took place in 1903. It was a grandiose and spectacular event, which was observed not only by New Yorkers. A dazzling ball of electrical plasma strands connected the facility to the sky. Many newspapers wrote that Tesla lit the sky at an altitude of many kilometers above sea level.

Tesla himself said that people living near the tower were frightened by his experiments and spent more time without sleep, but they were lucky and they learned many incredible things. You will not see such miracles even in the most extraordinary fairy tales.

But there were also Tesla's competitors, such as Marconi, who created a system for transmitting a transatlantic signal from England to Canada. His installation turned out to be more promising and not as expensive as Tesla's. After the appearance of the Marconi installation, Morgan stopped financing work on the Tesla project.

Although there is an explanation for the current situation of Tesla himself and he claims that Morgan fulfilled all obligations to the scientist. And the project was simply frozen for an indefinite time, since humanity is not yet ready to accept it. Tesla was ahead of his time and his inventions are widely used today.

There is a mysterious circumstance from the life of Tesla. On the night when he succeeded in using his tower to light the sky over New York and over the expanse of the Atlantic, he left his laboratory without any explanation and never returned there in his life. All documents, records and equipment remained untouched. This was one of the turning points in Tesla's scientific work. He managed to live another 40 years, which he devoted to continuous scientific work. During this period, he received patents only for inventions related to mechanics. And also there were many scientific publications in newspapers and magazines, written by the scientist himself.

All documentation and engineering drawings of the "World System" disappeared without a trace.

Generator running without fuel.

Tesla in his developments of the theory of electricity relied on the concept of ether - a transparent substance that fills the whole world and is capable of transmitting vibrations at a speed that exceeds the speed of light in its performance. Tesla was sure that the surrounding space is saturated with an infinite amount of energy that you need to be able to release.
In one of Tesla's letters to a friend in 1902, he mentioned that he had managed to create a device that could receive electricity from the environment.

At a conference dedicated to electric lighting in St. Louis, Nikola Tesla presented to the public a working electric motor that was not connected to the mains. During the speech, the scientist delivered the following speech: “Our task is to get energy from reserves that have an inexhaustible potential. I am sure that this issue will be resolved in the near future. We have to create a technology that will power electric motors anywhere in the world, and take resources for this from the surrounding space.”

Tesla was well aware that monopoly companies in the extraction of various types of fuel would not allow the introduction of technologies that would allow starting electric motors powered by "free" energy.

Inexplicable and fantastic.

Nikola Tesla's lectures were considered very exciting, and his activities were constantly accompanied by accusations of witchcraft and mysticism.

In one of his lectures, Tesla installed a small transformer that runs on high frequency, high voltage, low current alternating current. When the device started working, numerous lightning bolts appeared around Tesla, and he simply took them and caught them with his hands. Although the appearance of lightning forced most of the listeners from the front rows of the audience to move to remote places.

Another amazing incident happened to Tesla at the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1893, when he passed through his body a current commensurate with a lightning strike (a voltage of 2 million volts). After this incident, Edison said that after such a discharge, "this crazy Serb" should have disappeared from the face of the Earth. But Tesla took this statement with humor and in his hands an Edison electric light bulb was burning, as if electricity for it came from thin air. In our time, it has become known that a high-frequency current passes over the surface and does not harm a person, and Tesla knew about this even then. Then it seemed like magic, mysticism and sorcery.

His contemporaries called him the lord of lightning, and those who saw Tesla juggling with clots of energy were simply horrified. He knew how to handle ball lightning and his friend Mark Twain, who often visited his laboratories, saw how he took them out of the box.

Tesla was credited with God's gift - the eruption of lightning, which is scientifically explained by the ability to create powerful electrical discharges. Tesla was visited by the famous writer Jules Verne, who was so impressed by the inventions of the scientist that he wrote a book about Captain Nemo. Tesla in his laboratory was able to create energy balls the size of a soccer ball.

It remains a mystery to modern science how a scientist of that time could know so much about ball lightning and cold plasma synthesis.

As we said above, Tesla's favorite "trick" was the ignition of electric light bulbs. He turned on his generator and an ordinary electric light bulb lit up in his hands, as if the energy was coming from nowhere. He also managed to surprise the scientific minds of the Royal Academy by the fact that he started the electric motor remotely without any conductors and wires. And the lighting of electric light bulbs in the hands of a scientist was so familiar that people, although they were perplexed, got used to it. All these events took place in 1892. After demonstrating an experiment with an electric motor, the famous physicist John Rayleigh invited Tesla into his office and offered to sit down: “Sit down in this chair. The great Faraday sat in it, and after his death no one sat in it.

Tesla's grand proposal was that he wanted to make a giant light bulb out of the Earth. In 1914, he proposed passing a high-frequency current through the upper atmosphere, and the sky would light up like a light bulb. True, he did not provide explanations on how to do this, saying that he did not see any difficulty in this.

In 1898, when his thought touched on self-oscillation processes, he attached a small device to a metal beam in the attic of the house where his laboratory was located. After the vibration began, all the walls of the nearby houses began to vibrate, and the residents ran out into the street in a panic, thinking that an earthquake had begun. Tesla quickly turned off his device so as not to stir up passions. About his invention, he said that with his help he could destroy the Brooklyn Bridge and even split the Earth apart. It is only necessary to create a specific vibrator and calculate the exact time of the oscillation amplitude.

Psychic abilities of Nikola Tesla.

It is very difficult to talk on this topic and it is difficult to say unequivocally that Tesla was a clairvoyant. One thing can be said with certainty that the scientist had an undoubted gift of foreboding.

He once stated that he could switch off from the outside world. In this state, visions came to him, accompanied by attacks of hypersensitivity. He also believed that in this state, the doors of another world opened for him.

This is confirmed by the facts. At one time, friends were visiting him and were about to go home by train, but Tesla felt a desire to keep them from the trip with all his might. The train on which the friends were supposed to return home crashed.

Tesla also saw in a dream how his sister fell ill and died. This also came true.
Everyone knows the story of the Titanic. Tesla at one time dissuaded his financial patron from traveling on this ship. Morgan listened to Tesla's arguments and refused to travel.

Tesla was a man of mystery, with an inexplicable energy for scientific research, inventions and various "tricks". He was loved, respected and feared. This man was ahead of his generation and far ahead of science. Scientists of our time cannot explain some of the facts and inventions of Tesla, and much will remain an unsolved mystery for a long time to come.

Tesla invented the first electric car, was a supporter of etherodynamics, he claimed that soon a person would reveal the secrets of teleportation in space. Electricity and energy is what Tesla was most interested in. Although he became famous, and as a talented mechanic and engineer.

At the departments of the history of physics, thermonuclear reactions are studied, during which the transformation of matter into energy occurs without a trace. In astrophysics, however, the complete transformation of matter into energy is not perceived. It is known that the mass calculated as the effect of the force of attraction differs from that which is calculated using the "Doppler" shift of lines in the emission spectra of stars as they rotate around the center of the galaxy; as a result, a significant lack of visible matter is found on paper, reaching 90 percent. Instead of changing the theory, in scientific schools they talk about "mass defects" (the problem of the "hidden mass" of the Universe - ed.).

Tesla was working on a special “open-ended vacuum tube” that was used to transfer particles to any, arbitrarily long distances. The aiming was carried out electrostatically along the lines of the electromagnetic layers of the atmosphere, which can be distinguished with the naked eye: this is the layer along which clouds float. It turned out that the polyphase system, the induction motor and alternators are the least significant discoveries of Tesla. The most important, of course, is that which relates to his experiments with aether and time. It is possible to single out a completely new, cosmological physics based on the electromagnetic resonances of the ether, on the resonance effects of time.

Tesla's main discoveries are as follows. The first is the transfer of energy over any distance; in essence, it is the superconductivity of natural media. The second is "fireballs" (synthesis of the structural elements of ether and matter), a high-frequency resonant oscillator adapted for waves other than Hertzian waves, waves with the so-called lateral modulation. This is a kind of “consciousness” machine that produces fields of such a nature that they directly interfere with the electromagnetic field of the human brain, drowning out brain vibrations or changing their nature, which on the sensual plane leads to various emotions, changes in consciousness, creative impulses, super-perception, up to to super knowledge. The third is the dynamic nature of attraction, in which any element of the Mendeleev system has its own constant of attraction; Tesla in this case continued the work of Eötvös and deduced several universal measures. And the last is Tesla's electromagnetic theory, never explained and not expressed publicly, a theory that does not use generally accepted concepts such as "energy", "wavelength", "frequency", but instead introduces concepts - "routine curve", "vibration of helical systems", "electrical pressure", "transmission proportion", "ether", "dynamics of electromagnetic fluid", "geometric possibilities of the tube", etc.

From the arsenal of modern mathematics, Tesla used only Fourier series to decompose electromagnetic oscillations into higher and lower harmonics, since this coincided with his main assumption about the simultaneity of the action of all parts of the infinite ether. It is clear that infinity cannot be composed of non-simultaneous parts. Tesla's cosmology is the most general type of cosmology, referring to an isotropic and infinite universe, while Maxwell's electromagnetism is applicable at relatively small distances. In essence, Maxwell mathematized Faraday's pocket and room experiments without fully conceptualizing the problem. Due to the incompleteness of Maxwell's theory, enormous difficulties arose in the special theory of relativity (the relationship between the quantum energy and the speed of light); Einstein himself neglected in the photoelectric effect relativistic changes in space and time during movement, since if the energy changes along with the speed, there can be no effect when there is no energy equivalent of the trajectory of the electron knocked out by the photon. In the general theory of relativity, the shortcomings of Maxwell's theory led to the idea of a "world line" (in essence, to a pan-cosmic extrapolation of magnetic lines of force, which are visualized by iron filings on laboratory tables) and, finally, to the concept of the finiteness of the Cosmos, which is alternately compressed to a "point ”, standing outside the dimensions (the problem of “incomparability”), then explodes. Not only Tesla would be surprised by all this, but also many ancient philosophers and scientists of a clear mind - Pythagoras, Plato, Euclid and others.

Nikola Tesla and his science are invaluably significant for the modern world of telecommunication systems and for overcoming the crisis of a scientific and technological civilization in need of a philosophical ontology.

For hundreds and thousands of years, we have had many great scientists, but in honor of none of them, except for Tesla, a temple was built. Such a temple stands in California, in San Diego, at the center of the world's scientific and technological power. Neither Planck, nor Einstein, nor Bohr, nor Pauli, nor Toricelli, despite their passion for alchemy and theology (Newton) or mysticism (Laplace), convinced mankind of the transcendental significance of their scientific views.

Christian civilization relies on the suffering, sacrifice and redemption of Christ, on the mystery of baptism, resurrection and the afterlife; it is saturated with human feelings, his sensuality. The technical era under the sign of Tesla is a humane symbol of the unity of spirit and matter and establishes not religious faith, but faith in scientific principles, and gives insight into the deepest laws of the Cosmos. In historical terms, Tesla fundamentally changes the form of religiosity on a planetary level. Therefore, he is not just a scientist and not even just a genius, but a world-historical phenomenon of the highest rank, replacing the spirituality of theology with the spirituality of science. However, modern physics has already become the philosophy of the new time, as it openly deals with the structure of matter, the genesis of the Cosmos, and, more recently, ethics.

Quantum mechanics of the Copenhagen circle, including N. Bohr, W. Heisenberg and W. Pauli, does not answer the question about the structure of the basic unit of matter. The theory of relativity does not solve the scientific problem of the substantiality of time, and also does not explain the essence of the concept of force. Tesla's physics, referring to the real physical space, or ether, and his scientific thought, derived from the positions of ancient cosmology and Pythagorean mathematics (and not from the electromagnetism of the twentieth century), could not be continued until other limitations appeared on the way. creation of a unified physical theory covering the events of physical reality. After Chernobyl, it became clear to everyone that outside the real theory of time, outside the deep understanding of the structure of matter, a thermonuclear reaction is nothing but irresponsibility. And the tragedy of the Challenger spacecraft is a reminder that humanity has not yet mastered the true principles of long-term space travel and that jet engines do not solve the problem. It is better not to talk about the medical aspects of interstellar travel. Tesla's physics provides answers and points to the tools by which it can be used for cosmology.

It happens that the expression we use to designate a physical concept did not yet exist at the time of Tesla. The same applies to the method of introducing mathematical symbols for computational operations. And this is to the great advantage of the young electrical engineer, who has heard more than once that Julius Robert Mayer never used the word "energy" in any sense; that Archimedes and Galileo, who calculated everything mathematically, did not have a single sign for calculations now accepted; Newton, who discovered infinitesimal quantities, nevertheless, conducted all the proofs with the help of geometric symbols, as did Euclid and all other scientists who lived in the period between them.

In order to understand Tesla, it is absolutely necessary not only to read his works in the original, but also to explain the meaning of the terms in his scientific presentation, not to mention the encrypted part of his archive, where the same concept is used in various contexts and has a huge variety of meanings. Tesla's theory is almost impossible to understand without a clear hypothesis and in line with his way of thinking.

Advanced modern science is gradually beginning to study the legacy of Tesla. This is not about the commercial or university aspects of scientific knowledge, but about the peaks of world thought, unfamiliar to the general intellectual community, about the nodes of a disparate network of the global global information space of mankind, in which everyone is connected with others like themselves thanks to the channels of the planetary telecommunications network, and only through two matching parameters - the similarity of ideas and the level of intelligence. However, what unites everyone is the subjective perception of time as the basis of a new civilization. All early civilizations proceeded only from the relation to space.

In the planetary society of the future, according to Tesla, all energy will be drawn from inexhaustible and free sources. He pointed out that the Earth is the core of a huge generator that creates by rotation a potential difference of billions of volts with a slower ionosphere; that, in essence, humanity lives in a spherical capacitor of large capacity, which is constantly self-replenishing and self-discharging. The ionosphere in this capacitor is a phase, the atmosphere is a dielectric, the Earth is zero. On our planet, therefore, a global electrical process is constantly taking place. Electrical energy, having done work, returns to the natural environment of planet Earth.

There are also Tesla linear “accelerators” (accelerators) in the form of open vacuum tubes, that is, tubes operating at room temperature without energy losses, since when aiming at the “target”, the electrostatic properties of the “target” itself are used; therefore, it is possible to transfer any amount of energy to any distance by induction. These are Tesla's famous "death rays". Kenet Corum, who repeated Tesla's experiment in America and achieved certain results, still did not understand the essence: Tesla's "particles" do not travel through space as particles or Hertzian waves, but spontaneously generate from an induction field, like the same "fireballs". We are talking about Tesla's original theory related to cosmic radiation, which he proved experimentally.

Tesla's reversible magnetic field has universal significance. This is an idea of a mathematical nature, implemented directly in every instance of cosmic existence.

I take the liberty of saying that even Tesla's induction motor, the so-called asynchronous motor, has not been sufficiently studied in a conceptual sense. It contains the still unsolved mystery of the rotation of celestial bodies and rotation in general. The acceleration of the "Tesla's egg" is based on a change in the geometry of the field, and not on the properties of magnetic induction.

Among other mysteries of Tesla, the following have not yet been studied: in radio engineering - several silent transmissions on the same frequency (these are twelve essentially unused patents); according to the structure of matter (“I used to carry out the splitting of the atom without releasing any energy from it,” is Tesla’s statement from 1933.); in the force of gravity, a model of a gravitational motor with a tin engine and a glass stator, working only once a year under the influence of a certain arrangement of planets; in the theory of the ether (matter is structured from the ether and again dissolves in the ether, following simple mathematical laws; but if a little more energy is generated than disappears, then cosmic catastrophes occur); Tesla's medical devices and the impact of (his) low-frequency waves on the brain, which causes contractile movements and a change in the subjective "second".

And here is Tesla’s attitude to the Buddha’s idea that “I” is illusory: “Indeed, we are something else, like waves in subjective time and space, and when these waves disappear, nothing remains of us. There is no personality. It cannot be said that the waves in the ocean have individuality. There is only an illusory succession of waves following one another. We are not what we were yesterday; I myself am only a chain of relative existences, not quite identical. This chain is what creates the effect of continuity, as in moving pictures, and not my subjective-erroneous idea of \u200b\u200bmy real life.

Trying to imagine Tesla, I do not see him smiling, but on the contrary, sad, because I see what a person who devotes himself to natural laws can bring upon himself.

Nikola Tesla - Mystic of Science: The Secret of the Scientist.

There is no doubt that Nikola Tesla was endowed with a strong sense of the unity of earthly nature and cosmic processes. The essence of his "World System", announced in 1900, he reduced to 12 positions, which reflect the very essence of the technical and technological network of modern world telecommunications. This system is also the technological basis for the establishment of a global information society, whose desire for global unification is already showing its trends in many ways, for example, the reorganization of the life of peoples based on the abolition of the classical form of government.

"World order" Nikola Tesla builds based on the principles of his own inventions. Let's list some of them. This is Tesla's transformer motor, that is, an apparatus for creating electrovibrations with special properties; a step-up transformer specially designed to excite the Earth (for the transmission of electricity, this instrument is similar in its meaning to a telescope in astronomy). Next is Tesla's wireless system, which includes a certain number of devices, which today is considered an unsurpassed way of transmitting electric current over a distance without wires; a device for the individualization of a signal, which, in comparison with the primitive method of signal coordination, is the same as a developed language, placed next to inarticulate mumbling.

Thanks to such an apparatus, absolutely secret signals can be transmitted, both in passive and active form, because they do not jam other transmissions and cannot be jammed themselves. Any transmission is unique in rhythms and has individual features; in essence, it is an unlimited number of stations and instruments that can operate on one or two frequencies without causing the slightest mutual jamming. More - wave processes in the earth's ionosphere; in the popular explanation, this discovery means that the earth's field responds to electrical vibrations of a given frequency, just as a tuning fork resonates at a certain wavelength. These electrical vibrations are able to act strongly on the Earth's field. Such a resonant effect can be used in many ways and, above all, to change the global energy system, which is far from perfect and has not fully exhausted natural possibilities.

Tesla defines the goals of the "World System" in such a way that it becomes clear: the establishment of a dense communication network of all types and levels should serve the goals of humanizing scientific technology. In this sense, at the beginning of the 20th century, he turned out to be a prophet of the 21st century, because true metaphysical problems began to penetrate into theoretical physics only today, together with the problems of cosmogony, the origin of the Universe, time and space. Therefore, back in 1900, Tesla believed that the following was necessary (and this has almost been done):
1) establishing communication between existing telegraphic stations or centers around the world;
2) the organization of a secret state telegraphic service without the possibility of jamming it (it was not carried out due to the fact that Marconi's inventions were used instead of Tesla's patents on radio transmission, requiring a special frequency for each synchronous broadcast);
3) establishing communication between existing telephone centers or stations on Earth;
4) unified distribution of general newspaper news by telegraph and telephone;
5) creation of a service based on the principles of the "World System" for the transfer of information with an exclusively private purpose (carried out with the help of a worldwide network of computers - the Internet);
6) establishing the interconnection of all telegraphic devices in the world;
7) a single time stamp with the help of clocks that mark seconds with astronomical accuracy;
8) transmission of signs, words, sound signals, etc., as well as typewritten and handwritten texts (exact description of telefax);
9) creating a service for recording music;
10) the creation of a worldwide service for the needs of the merchant fleet, which helps in navigation, in flawless compassless flights, in determining the location and even speed, in preventing collisions and disasters, etc.;
11) the introduction of a worldwide printing system;
12) reproduction of photographs and all types of drawings or handwritten texts with the possibility of sending them to all parts of the world.

Although the development of modern science and technology largely confirmed Tesla's prophetic ideas, it did not coincide with them in a fundamental sense, namely: Tesla wanted to carry out everything he planned by transmitting through the Earth, and not from orbits around it. For the same reasons that he opposed the use of thermonuclear energy, which is dangerous due to people's ignorance of the actual structure of matter, Tesla believed that any violation of outer space, the Earth's magnetic field, is a violation of the harmony of natural laws. And this is a consequence of the negative influences of the free will of people, which becomes destructive in the absence of an ethical component from science. Free will is creative only with that kindness that accompanies the higher consciousness and the conscious selection of positive motives. Mankind living on Earth, he believed, must comprehend all kinds of natural union with the planet, otherwise he would have to lose his only transport in space.

And, finally, even in his youth, Tesla had friction with professors and fellow engineers who did not see that any creative act at first seemed erroneous to those who did not penetrate its secret.

In order to prove that alternating current at certain frequencies is not life-threatening, Tesla connected himself to a high-frequency alternating current circuit and achieved fantastic results, demonstrating the discharge of his own body in the dark, so that his whole body glowed and seemed to be burning, covered with tongues. bluish flame.

In 1892, in London, Nikola Tesla gave his famous lectures at the Royal Scientific Assembly of Great Britain. Along with the above experiments, he demonstrated many others, for example, the ignition of a lamp by wireless transmission of energy. In essence, he simply placed a vacuum neon tube in the field of his transformer, and the lamp was lit.

Thanks to his amazing lectures (“Light and other auxiliary phenomena”), Tesla gained great fame in England and made many friends in scientific circles - William Crookes, Sir Oliver Lodge and Lord Kelvin.

Upon returning to the United States in 1893, Tesla completely devoted himself to the problems of radio engineering, telecontrol and wireless transmission of energy over long distances without loss. In Colorado Springs, he successfully experiments with the Earth's permanent electromagnetic field and wireless power transmission. Although the diary of work for this period has been preserved and published, he did not advertise particularly important scientific results. However, what he achieved led him to the idea of a global system of wireless transfer of energy and information. The planetary transmission had to come from such exceptional inventions as Tesla's resonant transformer without an iron core and Tesla's magnifying transformer, from which the scientist expected especially much. It was a special transformer designed to excite the earth. With its help, while still in Colorado Springs, he produced an electromagnetic discharge so powerful that it exceeded atmospheric lightning in strength, and received electricity that heated white-hot more than two hundred light bulbs located for miles around the laboratory. For Tesla, this was irrefutable proof of the fidelity of his concept of wireless energy transfer - action at a distance.

After experiments in Colorado Springs in June 1900, on his return to New York, he prepares the world's first wireless power transmission system, the Wardencliffe Tower, which he tests with great success three years later. The technical characteristics of Tesla's broadcasting station are not known today, and it is impossible to say with certainty what its real purpose was ...

After an unusual night on July 15, 1903, when with his experiment he lit up the sky not only over New York, but also over the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, in 1905 Tesla suddenly leaves his laboratory, for no clear reason, leaving everything in it untouched. As you know, he never again stepped over the threshold of Wardenclyffe, never visited him and never appeared in those parts and, even more strange, did not take away a single calculation, not a single drawing or document, not a single paper from there.

Recently, there have been suggestions that Tesla was the one who in 1908 caused a strong and strange explosion in Siberia in the region of Podkamennaya Tunguska! It was believed that this explosion could cause a meteorite, but so far not the slightest fragment of it has been found. It is also true that the Wardenclyffe Tower was technically serviceable at that time, and Tesla, passing energy through the Earth, could accumulate and simultaneously discharge a huge amount of energy anywhere on the planet. This fully coincided with the results of his long-term work on the study of the properties of the Earth as a medium for the propagation of electromagnetic waves.

The missing theory

Tesla did not abandon his physical theory, but through countless experiments he created the basis for a new, resonant understanding of electromagnetism. He believed that the world is a single continuous electromagnetic environment, and matter is one of the manifestations of organized electromagnetic oscillations described by a mathematical algorithm. He believed that the law of resonance is the most general natural law that eliminates time and distance, and that all connections between phenomena are established exclusively through various kinds of simple and complex resonances - coordinated vibrations of physical systems, whose basis is predominantly electromagnetic. Finally, instead of Newton's integrals, Leibniz's differentials and Maxwell's field theory, Tesla in his calculations used the simple mathematics of ancient Greek mechanics, Archimedes above all, thus establishing an analogy between mechanics and electromagnetism. It is not yet possible to fully appreciate the significance of this way of thinking, which unequivocally indicates the need for a more complete physical interpretation of elementary mathematical concepts.

Apparently, the study of Tesla's heritage is not connected only with the knowledge of the history of physics. One should not look for only technological aspects in his work, its essence is in the meaning of human creativity and science.

The scientific path of Nikola Tesla needs to be understood and continued

It is necessary to analyze Tesla's evidence relating to the creative process underlying the new physical and technical processes discovered by him; this may lead to the discovery of a new way of knowing. It is important to understand Tesla's original research method and undeveloped theoretical issues related to invention, which is nothing more than an act of spiritual and practical knowledge of global, unexplored cosmic principles, that is, connections that are made with the world of ideas. Tesla was able to create visual images that compete with those actually perceived with the help of the organs of vision. He, as it were, changed the usual direction of the nerve impulse to the opposite - from the brain to the retina, removed the external image and replaced it with an eidetic one. Tesla seemed to send his impulses "from within". He called it a mental laboratory. And this was his main and main method of experimentation. He had the ability to translate mathematical, abstract concepts into internally visible images, give them a geometric interpretation, and then translate them into a physically realizable form of working models for hardware implementation.

In his mind, he "corrected" and "adjusted" the apparatus to work. When later such an apparatus was made of wire and other material, it always worked. As Tesla said, it never happened that such an invention did not correspond to nature, that is, did not work as a physical prototype.

His method, compared with other great scientific prophecies, is quite unique. Michael Faraday, for example, like Albert Einstein, experienced a kinesthetic premonition (pressure and movement in the peritoneum) at the moment of insight, and something similar to mental stress happened to him at the time of the emergence of ideas. Dmitri Mendeleev, as you know, dreamed of the periodic table of elements, and in three dimensions, painted with bright, almost fiery colors, as happens in all prophetic dreams. However, this happens very rarely, only with some people and only at certain moments. And Tesla was in a similar state all his life, he practiced for decades in order to constantly maintain spiritual and creative activity in himself. He acquired this ability after that serious and strange illness, which he barely survived in childhood. Many years later, he trained hard to control his nerve pathways, not only psychologically, but also physiologically.

“I believe in one God, not described in religions,” he said. In essence, this is a philosophical god - Logos, a Pythagorean god, a one-time creator of both the infinite, and abstract, and other-material, and extra-spatial cosmic law.

Tesla was a man whose basic philosophy and axiomatics did not belong to the modern world at all. Rather, it can be attributed to the era before Socrates, ancient philosophy. It is no coincidence that he was born on the Balkan Peninsula, in the southern part of which ancient civilization arose. We are talking about the same geomagnetic information field, or an algorithm common to the evolution of the neural structures of Pythagoras, Plato, Zeno and Tesla.

The perception of Tesla's physics requires a completely different understanding of mathematics, in essence, to some extent a sacred understanding in the Pythagorean spirit. Pythagoras believed that numbers and objects are really interconnected and in some properties correspond to each other because of the informational, mathematical aspects of the existence of matter as one of the manifestations of the Divine Logos. Even a less attentive researcher will immediately notice that there are no infinitesimal quantities in Tesla's works. About James Maxwell, the creator of theoretical electromagnetism, Tesla said with understanding that his elegant differential equations are poetry itself; the works of James Maxwell could be found in Tesla's library, since they were published when Tesla was twenty years old and still a student in Graz. There is no other reason why Tesla did not use them, except for the deepest and most serious: he discovered a simpler and more effective way and a better physical interpretation of mathematical concepts, with the help of which he predicted the course and results of the experiment. It is quite obvious that he was a man of such strength and foresight that he could distance himself from the conclusions of modern science, its system of concepts and mathematical apparatus, which were still far from perfect, imposed on him. It is no coincidence that he did not defend his diploma, which was for him a sign of spiritual independence, and not laziness or rebellion, as sometimes happens.

His way of working could have taken him in a completely different direction, which didn't happen. This proves that he managed to establish control over the essence of his mental visions and other conscious or subconscious manifestations, which is the basis of creativity. The moment he felt the effects of impulses coming from outside, he was able to bring them under his control and analyze them. The incredible became available to him - with the help of personally developed exercises, to rise to the level of a person, as if not dependent on the impulses of the outside world and, above all, on his internal mental states. The essence of his genius was that what he perceived and arose in his subconscious under the influence of an external field was nothing but a picture of cosmic processes or the same natural laws. This markedly distinguished him from other people.

Regarding the rotation of the magnetic field, in which the rotor of the engine began to rotate under the influence of changes occurring in the external field, he said: "Now I know how the Cosmos works." Hence his theory of people as "automata" of cosmic forces. If we add to this Tesla's axiom that "the energy of the system is drawn from the external environment", then the reason for his conviction that the entire Cosmos operates solely on the principle of vibration and resonance4 becomes clear. Finally, if we finally agree that the entire energy of the system arises under the influence of external guidance - induction, then it will be easy to imagine Tesla's cosmological model as a chain of concentrically rotating magnetic fields. Indeed, the Galaxy rotates, the Solar System rotates around the center of the Galaxy, the Earth rotates around the Sun, molecules, atoms, electrons rotate ... All this is nothing but a whole series of rotating magnetic fields described by one single law, the same one that powered by Tesla's induction motor.

Recall that Tesla (like Mozart, who saw the scores of his works in the luminous air, which he then simply wrote down) was able to visualize his model in the best possible way, therefore many of his inventions cannot be improved. He had an innate talent for generalizations, which is one of the most important epistemological principles in science. Always more complex phenomena of a lower level are reduced to simpler phenomena of a higher order.

The question of Tesla's actual understanding of the categories of time and space remains open. It can be said with certainty that in his studies of the transmission of low-frequency electromagnetic waves through the Earth, he did not encounter the problem of conjugation of force and space, such as, for example, the general theory of relativity. This theory carries some difficulties in the physical explanation of differential equations that describe the properties of curved space under the influence of gravitational forces of various strengths. According to this theory, the ever-increasing force of attraction can also affect time itself, bringing events back and violating the principle of causality.

R. Descartes, when creating his coordinate system, used the same geometric concept to represent the abscissa and ordinate - two straight lines of infinite length, which he interpreted as time and space, as if there was no difference between them. Is it possible? Unlikely. After all, space and time are different physical categories, the nature of which we have not known enough. In addition, the abscissa and ordinate are separated by an angle that does not have a special physical interpretation. Therefore, presenting physical phenomena so clearly geometrically, we run the risk of not taking into account the criterion of reality when testing mathematical hypotheses.

There is no doubt that Tesla, with the help of his physical research, discovered in science the still unclear fundamental law of physics and applied it with such ease and insight that it is equally clear to an amateur and a specialist that we are talking about exact knowledge. However, today it is difficult to imagine what these ordinary mathematical operations of division and multiplication, a single natural algorithm or a square root, significant in Tesla's experimental work, were. The physical explanation of mathematical techniques, especially the unambiguous one, is on the verge of looking through the field of transcendental mathematics. But it goes without saying that if all physical reality is reducible to the relationship of electromagnetic fields, then the theory that most fruitfully expresses the essence of these approaches is mathematics. If electromagnetic oscillations are also correlated with the mental plane (a discovery made by Tesla in Colorado Springs and to this day is confirmed experimentally), then the mental plane itself must have the same nature and follow the law of resonance. The conclusion suggests itself that the numbers are some kind of “programs” of the organization. Tesla's research, as it were, confirms the truth of Plato's theory of knowledge, in which he argued that mathematics is a connection between the world of ideas and the world of material phenomena. Even more precisely: mathematical algorithms and mathematical logic are essentially a way to implement ideas. In the end, all the old secret legends teach that matter is just condensed light, and this is Tesla's all-penetrating cosmic substance - "luminopherous ether".

Military ships as time machines

There is a story, a book, and two films made that in October 1943, the US Navy did an unusual experiment to make one warship invisible. It was necessary that the ship, with the help of strong magnetic generators, create a powerful field around itself, capable of changing the direction of the light beam, as well as leveling the radiation of locators and thereby hiding its location. This happened only six months after Tesla's death and the disappearance of important scientific documents from his room. The event took place in the seaport of Philadelphia. When the generators were turned on to the limit, something unexpected happened. A series of strong magnetic fields changed both the local temporal and spatial coordinates, and the Eldridge DE-173 cruiser disappeared for a while, and then appeared for a few seconds in another place - in one of the largest naval bases in Norfolk, in a port in the southeast Virginia, on the Atlantic coast, 350 kilometers from Philadelphia. After a very short time, the ship materialized again in the port from which it sailed - in Philadelphia. The strangest things happened to the crew. Half of the sailors disappeared forever, some went crazy or acquired the ability to disappear and reappear at will. Some of the survivors claimed that they "changed the world" and saw, even talked with unearthly creatures. The very disappearance of the ship was preceded by a thick greenish fog that enveloped the hull as strong electromagnetic machines were turned on to produce intense focused electromagnetic fields.

Three ships participated in the experiment. The aforementioned cruiser was in the middle, and the facings of the other two ships served as mirrors. In essence, it was about open "lasers" that do not need a vacuum, the rays of which are transmitted over an arbitrary distance and in any medium. Tesla produced such lasers in his laboratory in New York back in the 19th century, illuminating the room without the help of any lamps, causing the air to glow.

Let's go back to the significance of Tesla's experiments in Colorado Springs in 1899-1900 and see what the true results of his work there are. Experimenting with ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies of electromagnetic waves, he apparently managed to determine the frequency and type of modulations of the field of the subtle body of living people, as well as the dead (to which numerous essays are devoted today, which lack theory, and assumptions are often not accurate). Most likely, using a very high frequency, he managed to create a field corresponding to the resonant frequencies of disembodied souls, and thus master the technique of visualizing the so-called astral level of being of biological organisms. If there are calculations in Tesla's notes relating to this, in the eyes of a modern specialist they look insignificant, because they are too simple and therefore cannot be understood without additional explanations. They can only be realized by a mind endowed with a similar perceiving faculty.

Mystery of the fireballs

Tesla was able to reproduce complex energy structures in the laboratory, which he called "fireballs". They, along with Tesla, were also studied by the Russian academician Pyotr Leonidovich Kapitsa, who was unable to reproduce them in a controlled form without the participation of Tesla's resonant transformer. To date, physicists (the Corum brothers in America) have been reproducing some of Tesla's experiments with some success, and they succeed in producing "fireballs" of very short duration and only three millimeters in diameter when extinguishing a transformer. Tesla produced football-sized "balls of lightning", held them in his hand, put them in a box, covered it with a lid and took it out. They were perfectly stable structures that lasted for minutes. Of course, Tesla knew much more about the phenomenon than modern science; he knew the secret of the synthesis of cold plasma in free space.

Nikola Tesla thus penetrated into an area that no one had penetrated before him - into the engineering of time. He also emphasized that his electromagnetic waves are different from Hertzian waves, that is, the length of the wave he broadcasts is equal to the magnitude of the distance over which it is broadcast, in other words, the distance between the sender and the receiver. In addition, in Tesla's experiments, not only the circles of the oscillator, the apparatus involved in the transfer, were in resonance, but the entire system was also in resonance with the natural electromagnetic waves of the corridor through which they passed. This meant that the oscillator, which started the broadcast, simply cut off the ether in the space between the sender and the target, and created a characteristic field of standing waves there. Thus, at first, a wave carrier was formed, which by itself could not transfer energy. Then Tesla turned on the low-frequency field and passed the waves representing the lower harmonics of the main carrier field, moreover, in a ratio of 1:4. So he was able to transmit energy to the desired distance and carry out strong continuous electromagnetic discharges in certain areas, creating a wall of ionoplasm. Through such an energy wall, nothing could break through without disintegrating into molecules or atoms.

Tesla is a clairvoyant

It is quite obvious that Tesla was familiar with what, for lack of a better expression, can be called parapsychology. The way in which he arrived at his discoveries or worked in his laboratory is certainly unparalleled in the history of science. And despite the fact that more than 150,000 documents are stored in the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade today, he did not leave behind a system of his scientific method, which can only be compared with the states in which yogis can be, or with what the saints know . Today, few people regard Tesla as a philosopher or a man of the spirit, or someone who spiritualized physics, who spiritualized technology, spiritualized science. Finally, with all his life and work, he laid the foundations of a new civilization of the third millennium, and although so far his influence on modern trends in science is minimal, his role needs to be reassessed. Only the future will give a real explanation for Tesla's phenomenon, for he has gone too far ahead and stands above the scientific methods accepted today.

The famous Indian philosopher Vivekananda, one of the members of the Ramakrishna mission, sent to the West to find out the possibility of unifying all existing religions, visited Tesla in his laboratory in New York in 1906 and immediately sent a letter to his Indian colleague Alasing, in which he met Tesla described with delight: “This man is different from all Western people. He demonstrated his experiments with electricity, which he treats as a living being, with whom he talks and to whom he gives orders. We are talking about the highest degree of spiritual personality. There is no doubt that he has a spirituality of the highest level and is able to recognize all our gods. All our Gods appeared in its electric multi-colored fires: Vishnu, Shiva, and I felt the presence of Brahma himself.

Physics of time according to Tesla

Resonance is simultaneity, and if you change the periods of oscillation of the electric circuit, then the geometric pattern of the distribution of the magnetic field changes, and the electric motor and generator are set in motion solely under the influence of the time factor. Movement is the result of asynchrony. This confirms that it is possible to achieve a change in the speed of the engine and thus its mass without additional momentum, that is, without additional force.Isn't Tesla's reversible magnetic field a proof of this?

From Colorado Springs, Tesla writes to New York a letter to his friend Johanson that he discovered an idea in the "scribbles" of high-frequency electromagnetic discharge, and that soon Johanson will be able to read his poems personally to Homer, while Tesla will discuss his discoveries with Archimedes. Similarly, in the research diary, there is a detailed description of "green" electromagnetic waves, incredibly similar to the fog that appeared during the disappearance of a military ship in Philadelphia. Upon his return from Colorado Springs, Tesla told reporters that he had made contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Few took this statement seriously. However, there are indications that Tesla continued his studies of "parallel worlds" in solitude and silence without publicizing the results. Apparently, he created an apparatus for tuning the electromagnetic oscillations of his own brain, in other words, to control his mental activity, and thus managed to easily communicate with realities displaced in time.

These studies open a completely new page in modern science, pointing to the possibility of merging the material and the spiritual in human consciousness (in nature, matter and spirit are already merged). Tesla had the ability to develop both directions of a single science: with equal success, he studied the physical basis of the psyche and the mental basis of physics. He came to decisive general conclusions: matter consists of organized parts - manifestations of the excited state of the ether, one of which is electromagnetic oscillations. Therefore, the general natural law is the law of resonance, and the connection between phenomena is carried out with the help of various kinds of resonances, the basis of which is electromagnetism. It goes without saying that, on the one hand, if physical reality can be reduced to the relationship of electromagnetic fields, then the theoretical expression of these relationships is mathematics. On the other hand, if electromagnetic oscillations interact with the mental plane8, which, of course, has the same nature, then in this case the numbers are some reflections of the structure of the organization of electromagnetic fields. Therefore, Tesla's research is the first undeniable and clear step towards the clarification and application of Plato's doctrine, which states that mathematics is the connection between the world of ideas and the world of material phenomena. In addition, mathematical algorithms reflect the ways in which ideas are translated into physical objects. And, finally, as all the old (and new) sacred doctrines tell, matter is just “condensed light”.

Tesla believed that the Universe is a living system, and all the people in it are a kind of "automata" that behave according to the laws of the cosmos. He believed that the human brain does not have the property of figurative memory in the sense that it is commonly believed, and memory is just a reaction of nerves to a repeated external stimulus, that is, an invariant generated by periodic physical influences. It is even more important that he, who has more than a thousand fundamental scientific inventions, does not consider creativity to be his merit, but clearly declares that he plays the role of a conductor of science between the world of ideas and the world of human practice. Tesla's death itself is seen as an expression of his personal triumph: it rather looked like a conscious transmigration of the soul to other planes of existence, and not like the death of an ordinary glorious person, embarrassed and frightened in the face of self-liberation. Two days before the moment of disincarnation, Tesla stopped working and locked himself in a hotel room, asking not to be disturbed. When the hotel manager and maid finally entered, they found his body lifeless, with his arms folded across his chest and elegantly dressed, as if ready to "go out." He was supposed to have a Christian and Buddhist funeral, but three days before the first he was burned.

I personally deeply believe that mathematical and physical truths, or rather, geometrical and arithmetical phenomena, must unite and form the basis of a single Cosmology, on the threshold of which we stand. Some call it "New Science", but a more appropriate term would probably be "Unified Science", since the foundation of our Cosmos is made up of unified laws.

Tesla's electromagnetic theory was a clear example of the unification of the material and spiritual principles of the world order. He practically did so much that he did not have time to leave us a coherent theory. Perhaps he could leave religion to us, but he did not want to, for he knew that God in science needs conscious followers.

Tesla's legacy is not limited to the natural sciences; in his works one should look for the origins of understanding the psychology of creativity of a brilliant personality. Within the framework of practice, Tesla is seen as what Euclid was within the framework of theory - a connecting thread between Western and Eastern civilizations. From his works, a new spiritual world of Man can arise, who has realized Time and penetrated into more perfect levels of cosmic existence. According to research, this is the timeless idea of all Tesla's works, and this is the reason why the time is ripe today for a true understanding of Tesla's mission, for touching it.

Candidate of Chemical Sciences Pyotr Obraztsov, editor of the science department of the Izvestia newspaper.

The outstanding inventor Nikola Tesla, after whom, as a recognition of his merits, the unit of magnetic induction is named, in recent years has become the object of very strange fantasies and outright hoaxes. What is worth, for example, the film "Nikola Tesla - the ruler of the world", which recently appeared on the Russian television screen. The interest in Tesla in Russia and the Russian "Teslamania" are not accidental. Nikola Tesla is a Slav, a Serb, and even an Orthodox one, for this reason, for some reason, we consider him practically “ours”. Although the inventor was born on the territory of the future Croatia, which was part of Austria-Hungary, he spent two-thirds of his life in the USA, where he made his main discoveries. He was not noted for special predilections for Orthodoxy, and with more reason can still be considered just an American.

Tesla transformer - a device that made it possible to obtain high voltage and high frequency currents. The output voltage could reach several million volts.

The Tesla Tower on Long Island existed until 1917, after which it was destroyed for fear that it could be used by German spies.

From Austria-Hungary to electricity

Nicola was born in 1856, and, according to his memoirs and to the great pleasure of mystics, on the night of a full moon. All sorts of strange stories (told by himself) happened to him later. For example, after the ridiculous death of his adored older brother (he fell off his horse), the boy ran away to the mountains and spent the night in someone's crypt in the cemetery. In 1875, he entered a technical school, and before that, according to the same memoirs, he took part in the war against the Turks - another oddity, since in those years Austria-Hungary did not fight with Turkey. Three years later, he left the Higher Technical School in Graz, and different biographers of Tesla give completely different meanings to the word “left”: “finished”, “expelled for immoral behavior” and “run out of money for education”. However, Bill Gates also completed only two courses at Harvard.

Then the same story happened with the Charles University in Prague, where Tesla studied for only a year. Actually, the lack of fundamental education explains all the quirks and failures of Tesla in the future XX century. In the meantime, he got a job as an electrician, ran telephone cables in Budapest, and in 1882 made (so far only in his mind) his most important discovery - he came up with a rotating magnetic field. In essence, he invented, although he had not yet manufactured, an alternating current electric motor and, accordingly, reverse devices - generators, which would then regularly produce alternating electric current at the Niagara Hydroelectric Power Station. But this will happen already in America, where Tesla will leave in 1884 penniless.

In the then North American United States, the inventor works for Edison himself, persistently convincing him of the advantages of alternating current over direct current, which Edison uses only in his inventions. The inevitable quarrel, according to biographers, because of Edison's unpaid money to him, forced Tesla to quit the stingy American and open his own business. However, the business did not go, and only in 1888 Tesla sold two dozen of his patents to the industrialist Westinghouse. In the same year, the so-called current war broke out between Tesla with his alternating current and Edison with his direct current. As you know, Nikola Tesla won, and since then all the main devices use this particular type of current. Edison got only batteries for cars and submarines, and even pocket flashlights.

great spin

It is no coincidence that Tesla sought to recognize the advantages of alternating current - after all, it was on it that the electric motor invented by him had to work, and his own generator had to produce alternating current. In 1882, he only thought of the idea of a rotating magnetic field, the first patent was received six years later. This is how the third edition of the Great Soviet Encyclopedia describes this event: “In 1888, T. (independently of G. Ferrari and somewhat earlier than him) gave a rigorous scientific description of the phenomenon of a rotating magnetic field.” Who is this Ferrari? And in general, did Tesla have competitors who challenged his priority in the discovery of those phenomena that are now usually associated only with Tesla's name?

There were many. Moreover, almost in the same years when he created, and then patented his discovery. Like Edison, Tesla should rather be called an inventor than a scientist - he did not discover any new physical phenomenon, although he figured out how to use what was already known and "gave a rigorous scientific description" of this phenomenon. Dominic Arago discovered “rotational magnetism” back in 1824, when he discovered that a non-magnetic copper disk under the influence of a rotating magnet begins to rotate. By the way, the magnet itself was rotated simply by the hand of the experimenter.

And it was precisely in thinking about the essence of this phenomenon that Tesla's great idea about a rotating magnetic field was born, which consisted in replacing a copper disk with turns of an electric motor winding, and a rotating magnet with a rotating magnetic field. Tesla came up with the idea of supplying alternating current with a phase shift to the windings of the magnetic poles. The phase alternation causes the alternating formation of the north and south magnetic poles in the winding, which, in fact, means the rotation of the magnetic field. This field causes the motor rotor to rotate. It remained only to build a two-phase current source (two-phase generator) and a two-phase electric motor, which Tesla soon did, choosing 90 degrees as a phase shift. The thought of a 120 degree shift did not occur to him at the time. He did not create three-phase generators and electric motors.

Arago's experience was explained in 1831 by Michael Faraday, who discovered electromagnetic induction. In 1879, the English physicist Walter Bailey modified the experience in such a way that he himself was half a step away from the discovery of a rotating magnetic field. He placed four electromagnets around a copper disk, mounted almost without friction on a copper axis, and sequentially, clockwise applied voltage to them - direct current from galvanic cells. In essence, he created an intermittent moving magnetic field, and the disk rotated properly. However, Bailey published the results of the experiment in a little-known publication, did not demonstrate it to prominent scientists, and this experience went unnoticed.

There were others. The leader of French electrical engineers Marcel Despres in 1883 proved the possibility of creating a rotating magnetic field by superimposing two magnetic fluxes of the same frequency, but shifted in phase by 90 degrees. This scheme was intended by the author for navigational purposes. It was not implemented then, but now it is used in selsyn devices that transmit torque without mechanical contact directly by magnetic flux.

But the most important event in clarifying Nikola Tesla's priority took place in the spring of 1888, two months before the publication of the inventor's main patents. In March, Professor of the Industrial Museum Galileo Ferraris (that's right, with an “s” at the end they wrote his last name, focusing on the Italian spelling Ferraris) spoke to the general meeting of the Turin Academy of Sciences with a report on a brushless (that is, without a rectifier) AC motor built on principle of a rotating magnetic field. Ferraris found the conditions under which two phase-shifted alternating currents arose in a single-phase circuit. He built several laboratory motors with an artificial second phase, which developed a negligible power of 3 watts at a rotation speed of up to 900 revolutions per minute. In the same year, in May, Tesla showed hundreds of times more powerful engines. In fairness, it must be said that if the Serb patents were published two months after Ferraris' lecture, then applications for them were filed as early as October 1887.

Not without the participation of Russian scientists. The text of Ferraris's lecture was read by Mikhail Osipovich Dolivo-Dobrovolsky, who worked for the German company AEG (as we can see, the brain drain abroad occurred even then), and immediately came up with a three-phase electric motor and generator, the transmission of current through three, not six wires from expensive copper. By the way, Dolivo-Dobrovolsky himself always recognized Tesla's priority.

Real inventions

The next remarkable invention, although again not a discovery, was the use of the glow of various objects in a high-frequency electric field. The phenomenon itself has been known since the end of the 18th century, but Tesla put it on stream and in 1891 demonstrated the bright glow of evacuated flasks and tubes in the field created by Tesla's transformer. Among the first, he described the glow of biological objects in a high-frequency field, and he himself acted as one of such objects. Subsequently, this effect was used by some domestic “Kirlian spouses”, who were seriously sure - and many esotericists are still talking about this - that they discovered an “aura” emitted exclusively by living objects. Tesla is not to blame for the wide spread of this illiterate nonsense.

Nikola Tesla is also the author, if not the only one, of several other outstanding inventions. So, he independently discovered radio communications, although it is not known whether earlier or later than Popov and Marconi. However, radio communication is a practical application of electromagnetic waves discovered by Hertz, and it is now impossible to find out who first came up with the idea of using these waves to transmit information. But it is known for sure that Tesla invented the mast antenna earlier than others. Although the most revolutionary episode in the history of radio - the transmission of a signal from Europe to America across the Atlantic Ocean - was nevertheless carried out by Marconi. Moreover, Tesla unintentionally planted a pig at the same time: Tesla received this signal, but, being sure that radio waves could not pass through the kilometer hump of water between Europe and America (due to the curvature of the Earth), he decided that he had received a signal from the inhabitants of Mars. Unfortunately, he repeatedly and verbosely told reporters about this, giving his colleagues a reason for serious sadness about the state of his mind.

Radio-controlled boats and even submarines were also invented, designed, patented and demonstrated by Tesla. And even offered to use them for sabotage at sea. However, a few months after the demonstrations, not he, but a certain Vice Admiral Fiscu, managed to patent his own radio-controlled torpedo. Some biographers attribute to Tesla the creation of a mechanical oscillator - a generator of mechanical vibrations of ultrasonic frequency. Along the way, he proposed the idea of an echo sounder, but, as has happened more than once, here he was not the only one, and he did not implement the idea either.

Teslamania

Now is the time to talk about the supposedly realized, but conspiratorial inventions of the great Serbo-American, about which dozens of articles and books are still being written. What are some names worth - “Lord of the Universe”, “Lord of Lightning”, “Madman, ahead of his time”, “Nikola Tesla. A man from the future”, “Nikola Tesla and his devilish weapons”, “Tesla and top-secret projects of the Pentagon”. Frankly, the author of this article also wrote a book about the great Tesla, more precisely, about Teslamania - “Nikola Tesla. Lies and truth about a great inventor” (Yauza, EKSMO, 2009).

Teslamen consider the so-called tower in the town of Wardenclyffe on Long Island (now a suburb of New York) to be the most outstanding mystical design of the inventor. I must say that this tower was really built by Tesla, and with the money of the well-known "shark of capitalism" J.P. Morgan. The “shark” had a hobby: he was fond of sailing and loved to follow the yachting competitions that were held near Long Island in the Atlantic Ocean. But not so close that the participants could be observed at least through binoculars. Therefore, he wanted to receive information about the course of the competition by radio, ordering Tesla to build a radio mast for radio exchange with yachts. Tesla was given mind-blowing money for those times - 100 thousand dollars, which corresponds to today's about 2 million. To be honest, a simple radio antenna could have been built cheaper.

But Tesla is not like that to have fun with boat races. He decided to turn the tower into a wireless transmitter of energy across the globe. For some reason, Nikola believed that electricity was located somewhere inside the globe, and all you had to do was push it somehow, and it would “rush” to the right point. In this case, it will break out near the island of Amsterdam in the Indian Ocean. Oh, and these strange ideas cost Tesla and his authority dearly! To begin with, Morgan, having learned about Tesla's plan, got angry and categorically refused him additional funding, covered the entire project, and subsequently answered all Tesla's humiliated requests with arrogant indignation. A couple of times the tower, which most of all looks like a young boletus of monstrous proportions: a small round hat on a cone-shaped thick leg 60 meters high, nevertheless worked, but simply as a source of electrical discharges. After which it was preserved. Her filling in 1903 was described for debts. In 1917, the tower was completely demolished due to fears of transmitting messages from it to German submarines. The First World War was going on, and Tesla, being out of this world, repeatedly and carelessly talked about his business contacts with Germany.

Let's pay attention to the year of the termination of construction and conservation of the Wardenclyffe Tower - 1903. This is very important because the next great experiment attributed to Tesla is the fall of the Tunguska meteorite (now we know it was an icy comet). So, Teslamen tell us, nothing fell anywhere, but Tesla just fired electricity from this very tower to test his theories with electricity in the area of Podkamennaya Tunguska. According to another version, Tesla was going to light up the sky for Robert Peary, who made his way in the arctic darkness to the North Pole.

To close this topic, we recall that the fall of the Tunguska body occurred on June 30, 1908, and Robert Peary went to the pole on February 20, 1909. Nikola Tesla himself at that time was engaged in the design of steam and gas turbines - also, by the way, to no avail. And from time to time he sadly wandered around the tower, inaccessible to him, locked with a large barn lock.

We have already mentioned Tesla's reception of signals from Mars, which later turned out to be Marconi's transmission of a point-to-point-to-point radio signal from Europe to America. Tesla received this signal from his laboratory in Colorado Springs. This was even before Wardenclyffe, but even there Tesla was engaged in electric discharges in order to form standing waves in the body of the Earth and transfer energy over a distance. As a result, he burned the generator of a local power plant, left Colorado Springs, leaving the article “Speaking to the Planets” about his negotiations with the Martians in the end for local intellectuals. It should be noted that "Aelita" by Alexei Tolstoy in this sense is much more exciting.

Another mythical invention of Tesla is a mechanical oscillator, or a generator of mechanical oscillations. Tesla really built such a simple device and noticed that during its operation, some structures in the laboratory begin to tremble in resonance. Such generators of ultrasonic vibrations are widely used now, for example, for cutting metals and cleaning products from corrosion. There are even miniature ultrasonic washing machines, although, apparently, due to their low power, they are not even able to wash a handkerchief. But Tesla, with a generator of about the same size and obviously not much more efficient, assured that he could easily destroy the Brooklyn Bridge. And with the help of journalists, he spread rumors that one day he accidentally destroyed his own laboratory in this way and almost the entire building. But we know about it only from his words - there are no confirmations from the police. Tesla, probably the first PR genius among scientists in modern history, he even claimed that he could easily split the Earth by resonating with the natural oscillations of the earth's crust with a frequency of 1 hour 49 minutes, and all Tesla fans believe in it. Alas, the inventor with an incomplete higher education did not know anything about the power of oscillations, or about their so-called quality factor, or about the fact that the Earth has not one period of natural oscillations, but many, a whole spectrum. Of course, Tesla did not break anything and could not break anything.

The devil is in the details

Most of all, Teslamen frighten the civilian population with Tesla's "devil weapon". This is what it is. At the beginning of the 20th century, and then in the early 40s at the age of 84, the inventor frightened journalists with his new invention. He promised to send a thin, but terribly powerful beam of certain particles or waves into the ionosphere, which would heat this ionosphere so that it would incinerate the enemy under it. In fact, such installations exist, they are called heating stands, but they are never used at full capacity, firstly, because of the unpredictability of the consequences for the experimenters themselves and, secondly, because of the complete meaninglessness of such experiments. In Russia, of course, there were a good number of State Duma deputies who caught nasty America in the use of diabolical weapons and demanded to deal with the American weather station in Alaska called Arfa. Of course, no one began to understand, but the deputy PR took place, and the deputies returned to their daily work - the creation of laws that cannot be enforced.

And it is absolutely in vain that Tesla is credited with the authorship of the Philadelphia Experiment. Allegedly in 1943, ingenious installations on the destroyer Eldridge created such electromagnetic fields that light waves went around this entire structure and the destroyer became invisible. Then, for some reason, he instantly moved along with all the crew members for a couple of hundred kilometers. This “happened” shortly after the death of Tesla, whose papers were allegedly appropriated by the CIA (created, however, only four years after the death of the inventor) and used for military purposes. A long time ago it was proved that there was no experiment (and could not be). The destroyer Eldridge was then in the wrong place, and, in general, all this was invented by one semi-literate sailor who saw how the ship was wrapped with copper wire - a very real way to demagnetize the hull so as not to explode on a magnetic mine.

And as for Tesla's papers... Now they are all in the Tesla Museum in Belgrade, whose employees from time to time publish these notes and diaries, but prudently, not all at once, otherwise after the final collapse of the myth about the diabolical, ahead of time inventions of Nikola Tesla, they may be left without work.

  • Many discoveries and inventions belong to him. Scientists named a unit of measurement in physics and a high-voltage transformer after him. Modern physicists measure induction in "teslas", use the "Tesla coil", but they don't like to remember the scientist himself. Many of his discoveries were beyond the understanding of contemporaries. For example, he tried to invent a huge vibrator that generates vibrations of enormous force comparable to an earthquake, but stopped in time, realizing that he could destroy the city. AT 1893 Tesla created a device for transmitting a discharge without wires.
  • AT 1898 Tesla invented the radio-controlled boat. He dreamed of creating many smart machines that would help people. This experiment can be considered the beginning of robotics.
  • Tesla was very interested. He tried to understand why the Sun and other celestial bodies move. The scientist wanted to learn how to control this energy.

Tesla's Fantastic Inventions

And in 1931, Tesla demonstrated his new invention: a device with which a car drove for several days without gasoline and a battery. He was again not understood, since he explained this phenomenon by the fact that he takes energy "from the ether". Tesla was considered insane. But before the war, the military became interested in his inventions. They were interested in how to create a weapon based on the transfer of energy at a distance. Tesla worked on the creation of resonant weapons.

A lot of other inventions from Nikola Tesla. It was he who invented alternating current, for the first time proved the benefits of high-frequency currents for the body. The fruit of his genius is fluorescent light and a digital clock powered by solar energy and radio. Tesla created an induction motor and a polyphase transformer, discovered X rays and discovered the Kirlian effect. He talked about the dangers of electromagnetic radiation for brain function. Tesla even tried to create an engine powered by a gravitational field. He owns more 300 patents. They say that all energy is based on his inventions 20 century.

How can one explain such genius and non-standard view of the world? Maybe the answer is in his biography? What was remarkable about his life?

Biography of Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was born 10 July 1856 years in a small village on the territory of modern Yugoslavia. His father was an Orthodox priest, maybe this can explain his interest in everything unknown. Nicola was a very inquisitive child and from childhood he was interested in secrets. The father wanted the boy to follow in his footsteps, but Nikola chose his own path. He was very fascinated by the tales of his grandmother, who was called the "Montenegrin witch."

She told him about the astral plane, about the amazing energy that permeates the whole world, about what miracles magicians could do who managed to subdue this energy. Maybe it was the grandmother's tales that became the impetus that made Tesla study electricity. After all, he explained his success in experiments by the fact that he takes energy "from the ether."

And so, despite the protests of his father, Nikola entered the Polytechnic Institute, and then the University of Prague. After their graduation, he worked in the telegraph society, and in 1884 In the same year he went to America, where he got a job in Edison's company. But disputes immediately began between the two great scientists. Edison believed only in direct current, and Tesla had a different attitude to the problem of electricity. And now we see that Tesla's theory has won, because we use alternating current.

They also treated the issue of the origin of electricity in different ways.

Tesla believed that electricity comes from the ether. Every millimeter of space is filled with invisible energy, according to Tesla, and he believed that you need to learn how to extract and control it.

After leaving Edison, Tesla made his main discovery in liferotating magnetic field. He had already received many patents, and in 1895 year, according to his calculations, the Niagara hydroelectric power station was built. But most of all, Tesla was interested in the study of electricity. And at the turn of the century, the scientist was able to fulfill his dream: to find and control the main energy spilled in space. But he was forced to stop these experiments, because otherwise neither fuel nor energy would be needed, because the energy was obtained from the Earth's electromagnetic field itself.

Laboratory Wardenclyffe - 1903

At the end of his life, Tesla worked on fantastic projects at all: creating an artificial one, reading thoughts, transferring matter to a distance. Many of his discoveries are not known at all, it is believed that Tesla destroyed some of his notes and diaries, considering his inventions dangerous to mankind. Scientist dies under mysterious circumstances 7 January 1943 of the year.

Tesla lived in two worlds: not only in the material, but also in the spiritual. Many say that he was born at the wrong time, humanity was not yet ready for his discoveries, and then he was called the man of the future. After all, only now scientists are interested in the action of magnetic fields and the secrets of the torsion field. Unfortunately, Tesla's records of this have not been preserved.
