Then, at the suggestion of Allah, the prophet Musa (peace be upon him) struck the sea with his staff, and it opened up forming 12 paths. When Musa (peace be upon him) and the sons of Israel passed through the seas, the army of Pharaoh also followed him. When Musa (peace be upon him) and all who were with him were safe, Allah Almighty sank the Pharaoh and his army.

Regarding this, the Quran says:

“We brought the sons of Israel across the sea. Pharaoh and his army pursued them with hatred and malice. But when the waters fell upon them and were ready to swallow them, (Pharaoh) exclaimed: “I believed that there is no other deity besides Him in Whom the sons of Israel believed, and I am of those who gave themselves up (to His will)” (Sura “Yunus”, 10:90)

But Almighty Allah did not accept the repentance of the Pharaoh at that moment and did not recognize the sincerity in these words, since everything said was before the fear of imminent death.

“Are you just now convinced? Now you have believed, but earlier you did not obey Us and were one of those who sowed wickedness. Today, We will save only your body, so that you become an edification for future generations, and we will show everyone your body.” Indeed, many people do not know Our signs." (Sura Yunus, 10:91-92)

It is widely known that France is one of the countries that pays a lot of attention to historical monuments and archaeological finds. Therefore, in 1981, the French government asked the Arab Republic of Egypt for the pharaoh's mummy for scientific experiments and archaeological research. Professor Maurice Bouquet was appointed head of the surgeons and responsible for the research.

The main concern of the doctors was to restore the body of the mummy, while the goal of their leader (Maurice Bouquet) was fundamentally different from their intentions. He was interested in the cause of the death of the pharaoh. Late at night, the latest test results appeared, which turned out to be sea salt, which was evidence that the pharaoh died by drowning in the sea, after which his body was immediately removed from the water and embalmed.

However, there was one circumstance that haunted the professor: how and why was this mummy preserved better than the bodies of other pharaohs, even though it was taken from the sea? When Maurice Bouquet was preparing the final report on the research and on his scientific discovery, one of his friends in a personal conversation kept him from haste, saying that ... Muslims have been talking about this for a long time.

However, at that moment he did not believe the words of his friend, considering them impossible, since it was unthinkable to know this without the help of modern sciences and the latest high-precision computer technologies. But a friend told him that the Koran reports the death of the pharaoh at sea and the salvation of his body. This news shocked him even more, because he could not understand how this became known if this mummy itself was found in 1898, more than a hundred years ago, while “their Koran is already more than 1400 years old”!? And how can it fit into the head that the whole of mankind learned about the embalming of their pharaohs by the Egyptians only relatively recently?

All night Maurice Bouquet sat staring at the pharaoh's body and thinking deeply that the Qur'an mentions that the pharaoh's body was saved after he drowned, while the Gospel of Matthew and Luke only talks about his death at sea during the pursuit of Moses (peace be upon him) and nothing is said about the fate of his body. In his heart, he constantly asked himself: “Is this the body of the same pharaoh who persecuted Moses (peace be upon him)? And how could Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) know more about this than a thousand years ago?

That night, Maurice could not sleep, asking for the Torah to be brought to him. In it, he began to read the chapter "Exodus", where it was said that the water in the sea closed up and covered the entire army of the pharaoh that followed Moses, and that no one was left of them. Even in the Gospels, nothing was reported about the preservation of the body of the pharaoh.

After the mummy was recovered, France returned it to Egypt. But since Maurice heard about the Muslim knowledge of saving the body of the pharaoh, he could no longer return to a quiet life - and then the opportunity turned up to go to Saudi Arabia to participate in a medical conference. In a conversation with Muslim doctors, Maurice spoke about his discovery - the body of the pharaoh was preserved after his death at sea. Then one of the interlocutors opened the Koran and read to him the words of the Almighty: “And We brought the Israelites across the sea, and Pharaoh and his army pursued them treacherously and hostilely. And when the flood overtook him (Pharaoh), he said: “I believe that there is no god but Him in Whom the children of Israel believe, and I am from among the betrayed ones!” Just now?! And earlier you disobeyed and were a distributor of wickedness. And today We will save you with your body, so that you will be a sign for those who are behind you (i.e. future generations of people). This verse shocked Maurice Bouquet, and at the same moment, in the presence of everyone, he loudly exclaimed: "I accepted Islam and believed in this Koran!"

So Maurice Bouquet returned to France as a completely different person. For ten years, he was engaged in research only in the field of correspondence of scientific discoveries to the Holy Quran, trying to find at least one contradiction between science and the words of the Almighty, but the result of his search coincided with the statement of Allah: “Truly, this is a great book! Lies do not come to her either from the front or from behind - the sending of the Wise, the Praiseworthy. (Clarified: 41.42)

The fruit of the labors of Maurice Bouquet during these years was a book on the Holy Quran, which shocked the entire Western world and caused great excitement in the circles of scientists. It was published under the title “Quran, Torah, Gospel and Science. The Study of the Scriptures in the Light of Modern Science. The book was reprinted several times and was translated into many languages ​​of the world.

However, despite the strength of scientific arguments, some scientists have tried to make desperate and at the same time ridiculous arguments against this book.

But the most surprising thing in this whole story is that some Western scholars, in search of a refutation of the facts set forth in this book, after a deep study and detailed consideration of scientific arguments, themselves converted to Islam, publicly pronouncing the words of the Shahada.

Maurice Bouquet, in the preface to the book, writes that the scientific aspects that distinguish the Qur'an struck him, and he never imagined that so many diverse scientific facts, so accurately described in the Qur'an, which is more than thirteen centuries old, could correspond to modern knowledge to such an extent.

“If I knew the Koran before,” said Maurice Bouquet, “I would not go blindly in search of a scientific solution, I would have a guiding thread!”

The famous surgeon Maurice Bukay was born in France in a Christian family. After graduating from high school, he entered the Faculty of Medicine and later became a skilled surgeon, famous even outside of France. However, one incident that happened to him changed his life forever.

The French are known for their love of archeology and all sorts of historical treasures. When socialist President Francois Mitterrand came to power in the country in 1981, the French authorities turned to the Egyptian authorities with a request to provide them with the mummy of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh for scientific research. The mummy of one of the pharaohs, who was known to have been a great tyrant and tormentor during his lifetime, was transported to France, where she was met by the president himself and the highest authorities, honoring him at the state level as if he were alive. The sarcophagus with the mummy was taken along the red carpet from the plane to a special car, as the head of state is usually met. Then she was taken to the French Center of Monuments, where a whole wing was specially equipped for research, and famous archaeologists, surgeons and anatomists began to conduct various studies of the mummy. The surgeons' research was led by Maurice Bukay.

While specialists worked on the restoration of the mummy, Bukai reflected on the reason why the pharaoh died. While conducting tests, he found the remains of sea salt on his body, and this was evidence that the pharaoh drowned in the sea, but was removed from the sea water, mummified and his body remained intact. However, Bukay was tormented by another question: why did this body, unlike the bodies of other mummified pharaohs, remain completely intact, although it was removed from the water?

Bukai worked on a full research report and wondered if the body of the pharaoh was fished out of the water and immediately mummified or not. However, one surgeon from his team told him in response: "It is better not to touch on this topic, since the Muslims say that the pharaoh drowned." At first, Bukai did not believe this, because he knew that such a conclusion could only be made by carefully studying the mummy with the help of modern equipment and subjecting the data to computer analysis. Another colleague puzzled him even more when he said that the Muslim Quran, which Muslims consider the word of God, tells a story according to which the body of the pharaoh drowned and remained unharmed even under water.

Bukai asked the question: “How was this known in the Koran, if this mummy was discovered only in 1898, and the Koran was the holy book of Muslims already 1400 years ago and a few decades ago neither the general scientific community nor Muslims knew about this mummy and in general about the methods of mummification became known only at the beginning of the 20th century, when the first untouched burials of mummies were discovered.

Bukai spent the whole night in front of the body of the pharaoh, looking at it and thinking about what his colleagues told him about the Koran and that the body of the pharaoh was discovered after he drowned, while the Bible only says that that the pharaoh oppressed the prophet Moses (Musa, peace be upon him), but there was no mention of the fate of his body.

“Is it possible that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) could have known about this 1000 years ago, and I just found out?” he thought.

After a sleepless night, he asked for a copy of the Torah, but this only increased his surprise, since it did not say anything about the fact that the body was found safe and sound.

After completing the research, the mummy was returned to Egypt in a beautiful glass coffin, but Bukay could not find a place for himself, thinking about the story from the Koran, known to all Muslims, and eventually went to a medical conference that was held in Saudi Arabia.

There he spoke about his discovery, that is, that the body of the pharaoh remained intact even after he drowned. One of the conference participants opened the Koran and read 92 verses from Surah Yunus, which says: “Today We will save your body so that you become a sign for those who come after you. Verily, many people despise Our signs.”

After this verse was read, Bukai stood up and excitedly said: "I believed in the Qur'an and accept Islam."

Returning to France, Maurice Bukay spent 10 years researching how modern scientific discoveries coincide with references in the Koran and eventually came to the conclusion that the Koran does not contradict modern science.

It was translated from French into Arabic, English, Indonesian, Persian, Turkish and German and was sold in almost all Western countries.

In the preface to it, Bukay wrote: “This scientific information, which is mentioned in the Qur'an, unlike other scriptures, at first aroused deep surprise in me, since I have never met so many scientific issues that would be set out so exactly what they are. a mirror image of what has been recently discovered by scientists.
