Monitoring of the book educational fund of school libraries. Acquisition of the school library fund

The security per 1 student is good, but it should be taken into account that the fund was not completely cleared (in 2011-12, many textbooks of grades 10-11 and morally obsolete and non-corresponding to the programs of fiction and methodological literature were written off), in the future, write-offs will occur more.

The table shows that the provision indicators are kept at level 1, and it will rise slightly during the transition to the Federal State Educational Standard, when there should be 14-16 textbooks per student. Identification of obsolete in content and dilapidated publications helps to improve the composition of funds. Despite the large write-offs, there are enough textbooks at the school and each student of the school is provided with a free set.

The book supply with textbooks in our library is 100%.For the last 3 years, we have completely abandoned the purchase of textbooks by parents.

On an ongoing basis, work is underway to preserve the library fund:

As they were received, the library carried out the reception, systematization, technical processing of new acquisitions, recording in catalogs, in inventory books.

Periodicalsare part of the library collection.

Half of the entire subscription is for children of primary and secondary school age.

Traditionally, we subscribe to the “Teacher’s Newspaper”, “Bulletin of Education of Russia”, “Education and Education of Children with Developmental Disabilities”, “A Child in Kindergarten”, from the children's publications “Murzilka”, “Pionerskaya Pravda”, the local newspaper “Kamskie Zori” Newspapers on public access to the method. office, in the recreation of the 2nd floor for several years they placed the stand "Newspaper for you" with numbers of "Pionerskaya Pravda".

To ensure accounting when working with the fund, the following documentation is maintained:

Renewal of the fund with fiction for middle school age

2012-13

1. Providing grade 2 with all the necessary literature and visibility according to the Federal State Educational Standard

2.Current update of outdated textbooks, priority 9th grade.

The school library organizes work with textbooks. Therefore, a whole range of activities with school textbooks is envisaged - a preliminary analysis of the fund, ordering, receiving, processing, accounting and issuing school textbooks. A plan for working with textbooks has been drawn up.

Work on the formation of the educational fund is carried out throughout the academic year: consults with the school administration and leaders of methodological associations, collects and analyzes information about new textbooks, new authors of textbooks. And only after agreeing on the final data, we place an order for textbooks.

In our school, work on the acquisition of the fund is carried out at the proper level, due to which the “book supply” indicator corresponds to the norm.

Fund renewal

The literature is updated regularly, several times a year.

Incoming:

textbooks

methodical literature

didactics (visual aids, maps, brochures)

For the last 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic years, the fund of textbooks of the elementary school library was updated under the program: "School of Russia"

The share of updating the general fund of the library of the MBOU "Peremskaya OOSh"

In recent years, the fund has been replenished systematically.

Academic year

2009-10

5289

The table shows that the percentage of renewal in recent years has been approximately at the same level of 3-4%. the exception is 2011-12, when 3 times the usual amount was allocated for the acquisition.

Checking the status of textbooks is carried out by the staff of the Uchkom. In 2012-13 academic year year it was held in the last week of September and for the second time, specifically, in early October, in the lower grades it will be held again in the 3rd quarter, because it is for this category of students that the condition of textbooks is worse. Senior classes treat books more carefully.

At the end of the school year, textbooks are delivered according to the schedule.

Reception of new textbooks in the library falls on the beginning of the academic year (July, August). All educational materials come in accordance with the preliminary application. The order of textbooks is 100% fulfilled. A permanent partner is OOO "Uchebniki" IP Bakshaev. This analysis allowed us to draw conclusions about the quality of the fund:

Conclusion:

The fund of educational literature is completed by 100%

The fund of methodological and artistic literature has been replenished, but there is not enough programmatic and modern literature in it.

O Renewal of the fund is an important aspect in the work of the school library. In our school, such an update is carried out systematically.

Problems:

In case of insufficient funds for acquisition, priority is given to textbooks, while methodological literature we acquire on a residual basis. Teachers buy it themselves. But with a change of teacher or his departure, the school does not have its own program and methodological library on the subject. We have already encountered this problem.

We don’t order CORs for subjects very often, they are expensive.

I would like to order didactic and KIMs in subjects, because few parents buy them.

Over the past 10 years, only in 2011-12, the fund was replenished with fiction, it is necessary to repeat such target acquisition, because the fund is aging

Library and Information Center

"Through reading good books to bring up an honest, kind person,

smart, hardworking, true patriot of his Motherland"

The school library during the school year develops in students the need for constant self-education, brings up responsibility, pays attention to the promotion of literature to help school programs. It also develops and maintains in children the habit and joy of reading and learning, the need to use the library during the entire educational period.The school library is the first information center for our students. It is here that the skills of independent search, critical evaluation and comparison of information obtained from various sources are acquired: both from traditional (books, magazines, newspapers) and from non-traditional ones.

The school library operates according to a plan approved by the school administration. The main activities of the library are:ensuring the educational process and self-education through library information and bibliographic services for students and teachers;teaching readers how to use a book and other media, search, select and evaluate information;formation of aesthetic, ecological culture and interest in a healthy lifestyle.

Goals school library work

1. Creation of a single information and educational space of the educational institution; organization of comprehensive library and information services for all categories of users, ensuring their free and safe access to information, knowledge, ideas, cultural values

2. Education of civic consciousness, assistance in the socialization of students, development of their creative abilities

3. Organization of systematic reading.

Based on these goals and guided by the Laws of the Russian Federation "On librarianship", "Regulations on the school library", the school library was given the following tasks:

Providing the educational process with teaching aids, work on the preservation of the fund;

Teaching readers the skills of independent use of all library resources of the library;

Improvement of traditional and development of new library technologies.

Individual work is carried out with students, differentiated services for library users have improved, the organization of the book fund is underway, taking into account changes in reader interests, and the most complete and quick access to information resources has been provided.Throughout the school year, an analysis of the reading activity of students is carried out.When interviewing elementary school students, it turned out that children are more attracted to watching cartoons or playing on a computer than reading books. Preference is given only to entertainment magazines, computer and TV.The same picture is observed in high school, where preference is given to the computer. In grades 5-8, these are games and a small percentage of computer use for preparing reports and messages. Grades 9-11, in addition to games, use a computer both for preparing messages in lessons and for reading abridged program fiction.

I would like to note that, despite such qualitative indicators, there are still many children who enjoy going to the library and reading books. Younger schoolchildren are very fond of the periodicals “Murzilka”, “Children's Encyclopedia”, “Funny Pictures”, “In the Animal World”, “Young Naturalist” and others. Extracurricular activities in the reading room of the school library play a significant role in promoting the book.

Silent Reading Hours are held throughout the school year when a class is invited to the library for a reading lesson. In this lesson in the library, the students can choose a book and read, and in some lessons the librarian reads the book aloud in order to discuss it with the students.

Reader Service

The service of readers in the school library is carried out according to the plan approved by the school administration. The work is carried out taking into account the sections of the general school plan. The main activities of the library are:

Ensuring the educational process and self-education through library information and bibliographic services for students and teachers;

Teaching readers to use the book and other media, search, select and evaluate information;

Formation of aesthetic, ecological culture and interest in a healthy lifestyle.

The library systematically maintains a “Diary of work”, which takes into account information about the number and composition of readers, the volume of issued publications and their distribution by library classification departments.

In order to prevent the safety of textbooks, the librarian conducts conversations with school students. Great help in the safety and respect for textbooks is provided by primary school teachers. Raids are systematically carried out on the safety of textbooks among middle-level students.At the end of the school year, textbooks are delivered according to the schedule.

Basic forms of individual service

    conversation when registering in the library,

    conversation during the issuance of documents,

    conversation about reading;

    analysis of reader forms,

Conversations about books read are held systematically. Book recommendation discussions are also held, mainly for elementary school students, to help them choose an interesting book (depending on the age of the students, reading technique, interest, etc.). After such conversations, the children read with great interest and ask for help in choosing books. In addition, all library events include talks about books, reviews on the topic of the event. When preparing library lessons, assignments are given for reading books on the topic of the lesson. Technology is a great help in conducting library lessons. This is a computer through which interesting information is found, and the search for illustrations through the Internet to create presentations, which makes it possible to talk interestingly about writers, books. With the help of a multimedia device, cartoons based on the works of children's writers are shown, then these works are read, then a discussion takes place and a comparative analysis is carried out, which is more interesting: a book or a cartoon. Most often, children came to the conclusion that the book is more interesting than the cartoon.

The most important activity of the library is fund disclosure through exhibitions.

The library arranges various exhibitions both for anniversaries and significant dates, and for various months. There are also permanent book exhibitions, which are regularly updated with newly received literature:

Choosing material for these exhibitions, the librarian tries not only to tell the history of the holiday, to provide interesting facts, but also to offer literature from the exhibition and talk with readers. Particular attention is paid to exhibitions dedicated to writers-anniversaries. Readers are offered a brief biography of the writer, his books are exhibited, and quizzes are held. All activities carried out by the library are aimed at literary, historical, tolerant education of schoolchildren, contributing to patriotic, moral, aesthetic education, and forming an attractive image of books and reading. After holding such events, visits and lending of literature increased in the library. Reading aloud, quizzes, literary and musical compositions, literature reviews continue to be popular today.

Ecological education of schoolchildren is also one of the activities of the school library. Working with books about nature and its protection, one always sees a rich educational and cognitive potential.

legal education - an important area in the work of the school library. It is aimed at the ability of students to defend and know their rights and obligations, respect others, use the possibilities of the legal system of the state. During the academic year, book exhibitions “With the law on“ You ”, the conversation “The law is one for all” are held.

moral education - this is a process that contributes to the formation of moral feelings (conscience, duty, responsibility, citizenship, patriotism), moral character (patience, mercy), moral position, moral behavior. We nurture and develop all this through the following activities:“Life is worth living”, “Adolescent to a teenager about the dangers of alcohol”, “Smoking is the main threat to health”, drug addiction: a problem and solutions (a series of events using ICT).

Work with the library fund is carried out throughout the academic year.

To ensure accounting when working with the fund, the following documentation is maintained:

The fund of textbooks is located in the book depository. The arrangement is made by class. As new textbooks arrive, the card file of textbooks is updated and edited.

Orders for textbooks for the next academic year are being made. The leaders of the Ministry of Defense and the administration of the school participate in the formation of the order, head. school library.

In order to prevent the safety of textbooks, the librarian conducts conversations with readers-children at the subscription, and class teachers - at class hours. Raids on the safety of textbooks are systematically carried out. At the end of the school year, textbooks are delivered according to the schedule. The school website has a list of textbooks.

The results of the movement of the fund are summed up. Certificates are compiled on the educational and methodological support of the educational process of the school.

Received books are drawn up and processed: they are registered, recorded in the KSU, stamped. There is a notebook for issuing textbooks.

Work is underway to preserve the fund: especially valuable publications (dictionaries, encyclopedias, reference books) are stored on a separate rack. Once every six months, the librarian checks the safety of the book fund. The foundation of every library is its collection. The library fund for children is a unique phenomenon. The fund of the children's library is collected both in public mass libraries, and in scientific, and in special ones. Today, there are 4.4 thousand children's libraries in the Russian Federation. The main contingent of subscribers are schoolchildren. The largest libraries have collected hundreds of thousands of volumes in their funds. For children in our country, up to two and a half thousand books, dozens of magazines and newspapers are published annually, hundreds of multimedia documents are published.

The collections of school libraries have much in common with the collections of children's libraries. They are united by contingent and goals. However, the children's library is an organic part of the school; with its funds, it primarily performs an educational and auxiliary function, helping students in mastering the basics of science, offering them a wide selection of books to help the curriculum and extracurricular reading, and teaching staff - reference and information, educational and methodological and scientific and pedagogical literature.

Throughout the school year, the school library coordinates the information work of readers, provides educational and methodological literature from the library fund. Maximum access to information, cultural values is provided through the use of library and information resources of the library on various media. As they become available, an information fund is formed, additional literature is selected according to the individual requests of readers, which contributes to the fulfillment of the developing function of the school library. The library environment, focused on the education of cultural and civic consciousness, assists in the development of the creative potential of students during extracurricular activities. Information work on the subscription and in the reading room takes place in the form of providing reference literature, reviewing new arrivals at class hours and extracurricular activities, and recommendatory lists of literature on new receipts are compiled. Also, school libraries provide on the basis of the introduction of information technology and computerization of library and information processes.

The purpose of the school library is to promote the implementation of the main directions of the school's work during the school year and the development of the giftedness of the individual for its self-determination, based on the socio-pedagogical possibilities of additional education. The funds of school libraries should meet the needs of the student, both in the literature necessary for the learning process, and in fiction and additional scientific literature. Satisfy the needs of the teaching staff in methodological materials and manuals. acquisition of the children's library fund

School libraries are experiencing great difficulties with acquisitions. New books do not arrive systematically, in a limited assortment and in small quantities. Another problem in the process of completing the school library is the fact that the library receives literature in the quality and quantity determined by the Ministry of Education, and cannot order exactly the literature that they need. A large deficit in school libraries are reference, encyclopedic publications, popular science literature for students, pedagogical literature for teachers.

School libraries are trying to introduce technical achievements into their work, and the fund of a modern school library includes not only printed materials, but also non-traditional types of publications stored on electronic media. Also widely used in school libraries are global and local computer networks.

Libraries of educational institutions, as a rule, have the main textbooks from the Federal List, which limits the choice of teachers and students, makes it difficult to implement variable curricula and elective courses. The subscribers of school libraries are not only students, but the whole team of teachers and methodologists. Libraries control and direct the process of working with textbooks.

For the school library, the most important thing is to complete the fund of program works of art for high school students, and already literature for additional reading of the child fades into the background, and is more related to the problems of completing children's libraries. It is very difficult for philologists to conduct literature lessons without a work, given that many students are willing to get acquainted with the publication in its entirety. School library funds are extremely underfunded. In most regions, according to many studies, the acquisition of school libraries looks deplorable, if at all.

Conducted sociological research found that many people are familiar only with the school library. She was the first and only one for them. For the first time, a student's acquaintance with the school library occurs in the first or second grade. Often, this is where the student's communication with libraries ends.

The problem with the acquisition of the school library fund requires an urgent solution. School libraries are actively looking for ways to solve the problem of funding, looking for sources of funding outside the budget. The problem of completing the school library is known to everyone and is partially solved by gifts from parents, school guests, authors and publishers. Library staff try exhibitions and events to attract others to their problem. If this method does not turn into extortion, but is carried out on a voluntary basis, it also has an educational and patriotic character.

Students are involved in solving the problem of completing the fund of the children's library. Subbotniks are held to collect waste paper. In this way, the library can usually receive very small amounts and, accordingly, a small influx of new books. In most of these cases, the library barely makes up for an acute shortage of reference books or subscribes to a few periodicals for children, on the basis that children's periodicals are cheaper than new children's books, if we keep in mind the price-quantity ratio.

As a result of such subbotniks to collect waste paper, new publications appear in the school library fund, without material costs. It is also necessary to note the educational value - the child feels pride in the benefit brought, interest in the library and self-esteem increase. Editions that are not suitable for their condition or are handed over as waste paper in terms of content, as a result, the library receives, although not a lot of money, but the opportunity to replenish the fund with the necessary edition.

School libraries are trying in every possible way to provide students with textbooks and manuals, literature necessary for a full-fledged learning process. As for the fund of textbooks, the exchange between the schools of the city, the issuance for temporary use is actively used. The method of exchange is very common, since the free library has the opportunity to some extent satisfy students with the necessary publications. The exchange of textbooks, as a rule, only partially eliminates the problem of shortage of textbooks. It happens that a textbook is in short supply, or vice versa - the school lacks copies of the textbook, which was only in its fund, and it is impossible to get it in exchange or on loan. However, some part of the problem can be solved in this way. But, there is a problem of transporting books, and if the school cannot find a car, then these trips fall on the shoulders of librarians.

Great efforts are being made to bring the actual look of the library collection to the desired one that students need, which today should include (besides the usual printed resources) e-books, audio books, open source software, streaming media, disks, digital video and much more. expands.

School libraries, as well as children's libraries in general, are trying on their own to overcome the problem of lack of funding for fund acquisition. Looking for solutions in every possible way. Involves students, graduates, parents of students, teachers and the public in solving the problem. They turn to public organizations in order to convey their problems to the masses. As sad as it sounds, all the efforts made are not enough to solve the problems with the completion of school libraries, and the parents of students are forced, partially on their own, to provide the child with textbooks and the necessary methodological materials. Teachers and educators, in turn, acquire materials for a full-fledged learning process.
