1945 A difficult war has just ended, the country is beginning to restore the destroyed economy. By order of the People's Commissariat of Trade of the USSR of October 15, 1945, No. 132, the Zlatoust College of Soviet Trade was established. At first, the technical school was located in the building of elementary school No. 4. There were only three classrooms without furniture, windows with broken glass. For another 13 years, the technical school has been renting 5 classes on the first floor of school number 10 at the address. Bolshaya Vetluga, 127. An orphanage was located in the same building.

V.I.Tukmachev, head teacher Pyotr Aleksandrovich Ozornin, military instructor Anatoly Fedorovich Vasiliev, teacher of Russian language and literature Romashev K.D., teacher of geography Brusnik Roman Ivanovich, teacher of mathematics Gladkikh Kharitina Grigoryevna, teacher of German language Vanda Ivanovna Baum, teacher history Ambratsevich Fadey Frantsevich, teacher of chemistry Karataeva Evdokia Ivanovna.

The first set of students - 173 people: 3 groups of food merchandisers and 2 groups of accountants. Among the students are not only yesterday's schoolchildren, but also demobilized military personnel. Studied in two shifts. There were not enough textbooks and equipment, there was only one abacus for 30 people. Education at the technical school was paid - 75 rubles. For half a year. The administration and teachers strictly controlled the attendance of classes and the progress of students. In October 1946 by order of the director, penalties are imposed on violators of discipline. Order No. 85 of 08.10.1946 § 3: "For skipping one lesson or being late for unexcused reasons, deduct 1 ruble for each lesson, and 10 kopecks for each subsequent 1 ruble."

In April 1947, a student card with a photograph was introduced.

The end of the 40s is the time of the formation of the technical school. The material base is improving. In addition to two horses, which were purchased in Magnitogorsk, a truck is allocated to the technical school. Acquired visual aids and educational literature. During these years, the technical school was headed by Matveev Platon Markovich (from August 1946 - to February 1948), Bezrukov Alexander Fedorovich (from February 1948 - to August 1950), Musikhin Alexander Ivanovich (from August 1950 - to July 1953).

In 1948, the first graduation of specialists trained at the technical school took place. Diplomas are given to 75 food commodities technicians (5 of them with honors) and 44 Soviet trade accountants.

Since 1953, Antonova Evgenia Nikolaevna has taken over as director. Under her leadership, the college took a big step forward. In 1954, the foundation of a new technical school building was laid. The construction, in which students and teachers took an active part, was completed in 1958. On December 12, 1958, the acceptance certificate of the State Commission was approved and classes were allowed to be held in the educational building of the technical school. Since then, the address of the technical school has remained unchanged: st. Kovshova, 7.

In the year of the 10th anniversary of the technical school (1955), Kovin P.N., Romashov K.D., Romashova V.R., who have worked at the technical school since its foundation, received gratitude for many years of conscientious work; Surovtsev V.F., Sledova A.F., Lopatina K.I., Lapshina N.T., Potapova S.Yu. - who have worked in the technical school by this time for more than 8 years.

Thanks to the active work of Evgenia Nikolaevna, new specialties are being opened at the technical school. Since 1957, the technical school began to train merchandisers of industrial goods, and since 1958, the specialty "technology of cooking" was opened. The new curricula to which the technical school switched in 1960 required a combination of theoretical and practical training. Therefore, in addition to practical training in the new technological laboratory of the technical school, students are required to undergo a summer internship. Students of the technological department practiced this practice at public catering establishments in the cities of Anapa, Sochi, Adler, Gelendzhik, etc.

In addition to the already existing day and evening departments, in 1961 a correspondence department and educational and consulting centers were opened in the technical school in the cities of Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. R.I. Yanchenko was appointed head of the correspondence department. In 10 years, the Magnitogorsk UKP will become an independent educational institution, and the Chelyabinsk UKP in 1999 will receive the status of a branch of the technical school.

The 60s are the time of generational change. In 1963, Boris Mikhailovich Samoilin, a former front-line soldier and small landowner, took over the director's post. At this time, young teachers come to the technical school, who over the years will form the core of the teaching staff. Among them: Savina (Balitskaya) Emma Aleksandrovna (technology and organization of public catering), Afanasyev Yuri Ivanovich (history and literature), Afanasyev Rimma Sergeevna (trade organization), Maslov Vasily Timofeevich (physics), Khazhieva Raisa Akhmetovna (mathematics), Redkina Svetlana Anatolyevna (geography), Lapshina Ella Grigorievna (chemistry), Krivolapova Clara Nikolaevna (English), Renzyaev Evgeny Ivanovich (physical education), Malysheva Galina Prokopievna (commodity science of industrial goods), Dranitsyna Maria Ivanovna (mathematics), Rogulina Lyubov Stepanovna (literature), Krylosova Lidia Ivanovna (master of industrial training), Ovladadeva Maria Grigoryevna (chemistry), Maslova (Filimonova) Svetlana Sergeevna (master of industrial training).

In the 1960s and 1970s, the technical school lived a bright, full-blooded life. Teachers attend refresher courses in Moscow, Leningrad, Kazan and other cities. There are 3 laboratories and 22 classrooms in the educational building, equipped with the latest equipment and samples of goods necessary for the educational process. Students are engaged in subject circles and a scientific technical society. Komsomol meetings, debates, rallies of excellent students and drummers, competitions "Come on, girls!", "Come on, guys!", Classes at the university of musical education, which is conducted by artists of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic, are held.

A strong business friendship connected the technical school and the Tominsky state farm. According to the results of agricultural work, students of the technical school were repeatedly awarded with diplomas of the state farm and city committee of the Komsomol, were entered on the regional Board of Honor, the technical school staff was awarded a prize of 500 rubles. Student construction teams work in the Krasnodar Territory and Moldova.

The sports life of the college does not stop. Under the guidance of the most experienced teacher, long-term leader of the physical education of students, PS Zubov, students win prizes in sports competitions not only on a city and regional scale, but also at the all-Union level.

For 70-80 years, the technical school has trained more than 8.5 thousand specialists, 335 of them received diplomas with honors. 1978 was a record year for the technical school, when 577 students received diplomas.

In 1977, Boris Mikhailovich Samoilin was replaced by Lidia Ivanovna Krylosova as director. A graduate of ZTST, Lidia Ivanovna returned here in 1966 as a master of industrial training. For ten years she went up the career ladder to the position of director, having managed during this time to graduate from the Institute of Soviet Trade, work as a head. practice, chief correspondence department. Lidia Ivanovna worked for 22 years as the director of the technical school. During this time, fundamental changes took place in the country. The calm and predictable era of Brezhnev's stagnation was replaced by the crisis of the 90s, the rapid development of market relations. And in these difficult years, the technical school under the leadership of Lidia Ivanovna not only survived, but actively developed. In the early 1990s, responding to the demands of the time, the specialties "Commerce" and "Management" were opened. In 1991, the Mayak store became a branch of the technical school and the main base for industrial practice for the next 20 years.

A delegation of representatives of the polytechnic from Heihe (PRC) visited the ZTST in 1992, for both sides it was a useful exchange of experience. In addition, our teachers got acquainted with progressive teaching methods not only in China, but also in Italy, Finland, and Turkey.

In 1993 - 1996, the technical school changed its name twice, first to "Zlatoust Trade and Commercial College", and from 1996 to this day "Zlatoust Trade and Economic College".

Since 1994, the technical school has been actively working on the "development of the North". Branches are opened in Surgut, Nefteyugansk, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk. Representations are opened in Urai and in the cities of the Chelyabinsk region - Bakal and Miass. As part of the development of the concept of continuous education, the technical school begins to cooperate with higher educational institutions. In 1995, on the basis of the technical school, a representative office of the Chelyabinsk Institute of the Russian State University of Trade and Economics was opened, and a few years later, a representative office of the Kemerovo Technological Institute of the Food Industry appeared.

In 1999, L.I. Krylosova passes the baton to her successor, Honored Trade Worker Svetlana Sergeevna Maslova. The life of Svetlana Sergeevna has been connected with the technical school since 1963, when she entered here for the specialty "commodity research of food products." A year after receiving her diploma, Svetlana Sergeevna returns to the technical school as a master of industrial training in the department of commodity science of food products, then - studying at the institute and working as a teacher, 20 years of work as deputy director for educational work. Active and energetic, Maslova S.S. For more than 12 years, she has confidently led the technical school through the storms and crises of economic reforms.

Since 2012, the technical school has been headed by Aleksey Aleksandrovich Maslov, candidate of technical sciences, honorary worker of education.

Currently, training at the technical school is conducted in 9 specialties, among which were opened already in the 21st century "Law and organization of social security", "Insurance business", "Technology of bread, confectionery and pasta". The material base of the technical school is being improved, innovative technologies are being introduced into the educational process. In 2008, on the basis of the technical school, a regional experimental site "Implementation of the model of continuous multi-level professional education (NPO - SPO - VPO) in the conditions of social partnership of an educational institution" was opened, which is headed by the head of the methodological center of the technical school, former director Krylosova L.I.
