Plane orientation with sounds for older preschoolers 5-6 years old

Svetlana Sergeevna Utyuzhnikova, teacher-speech therapist, MADOU d/s "Buratino", regional center Kyra
The joint activity of a speech therapist with preschoolers is not only a school of learning and education, but also an entertaining play journey.
In order to present speech material to a child, to interest him, to arouse the desire to repeat again and again words that are already familiar, but so complex and not always accessible to correct pronunciation, it is necessary to use game exercises. There are many options, let's consider one of them, like planar orientation for automating hissing sounds [Ш]-[Х] in words. This game material will be useful for teachers and parents for working with children.
Purpose of the game: automation of hissing sounds in words;
Tasks:
-develop auditory perception, attention, speech, thinking, creativity, fine motor skills;
-activate vocabulary;
- learn to navigate on a plane, count by cells;
- cultivate the desire to achieve positive results;

To automate sounds in words, I suggest using tables consisting of cells and a counter. The chip should be placed on the letter and moved according to the instructions of the speech therapist. The tables were created in the PowerPoint program, where visual material was selected to automate sounds. In one cell is printed a letter indicating the sound being automated. In other cells there are images of objects whose names contain an automated sound. If the chip stops on an empty cell, then you should invite the child to independently come up with a word with this sound. It is necessary to remember that we see letters, but we pronounce and hear sounds. Let's look at a game tutorial on automating the sounds [Ш]-[Х];

Sound Ш. Letter Ш

Words for reference:grandmother, frog, wallet, grandfather, cat, bag, horse;
Words for reference:matryoshka, bear, reeds, car, cherry, mouse, balls;
Features of sound articulation [Ш]
The lips are pushed forward and rounded. The tip of the tongue is raised towards the front of the palate, but does not touch it. The lateral edges of the tongue are pressed against the upper molars. The back of the tongue is raised. The shape of the tongue resembles a cup. The vocal cords are resting, the throat is not trembling (no voice).
Sound characteristics [W]

Consonant, deaf, always firm. Sound is indicated in blue.

Sound Zh. Letter Zh

Words for reference:ice cream, snowdrop, vest, hedgehog, giraffe, skier, cake;
Words for reference:artist, beetle, snowflake, blackberry, rain, scissors, saffron milk cap;
Features of sound articulation [F]
The lips are pushed forward and rounded. The tip of the tongue is raised towards the front of the palate, but does not touch it. The lateral edges of the tongue are pressed against the upper molars. The back of the tongue is raised. The shape of the tongue resembles a cup. The vocal cords are working, the throat is trembling (there is a voice).
Sound characteristics [F]

Consonant, sonorous, always firm. Sound is indicated in blue.

Tasks for the game

- “Name the object that you will come to if you move three cells to the right from the letter”;
- “Name the object that you will come to if you move from the letter one cell down and one cell to the right”;
- “Name the object that you will come to if you move from the letter one cell down, three cells to the right and one cell up”;
In addition to the motivation to find and name an object, the child learns to navigate on a piece of paper.
Thus, as practice shows, the use of such game exercises in automating speech sounds and activating vocabulary in children promotes speech development and develops plane orientation skills.
