Who to go to work as a former teacher. School teacher, university teacher, kindergarten teacher

Instruction

The easiest way is to find a job in your specialty after a pedagogical university or college. If the low salary upsets, it is worth considering options for state support for those young teachers who are ready to work in the outback. In some regions, for three years at school, you can receive compensation equal to the down payment on a mortgage or even half the cost of a small apartment in the region or region. In addition, after several years of practice in a regular school, you can go to a private school or become a teacher at a college or university.

You can use those skills that are obtained at the university, in addition to knowledge of education. For example, what is relevant as long as the USE system exists. With a diploma in teaching a foreign language, you can take up translations or choose a profession for guests from other countries. A teacher of labor or drawing can try his hand at organizing master classes for adults and children. A singing and music teacher is able to organize a studio for those who want to sing well in karaoke.

On the basis of pedagogical education, you can get psychological and engage in career development in this direction. Or take special courses and get a job in the personnel department. There is always a need for people who can teach others. People with a teaching background are often in demand as secretaries and personal assistants. Employers believe that they have particularly enhanced organizational skills. And also that they have a high sense of responsibility, so after the pedagogical faculty you can become.

Finally, pedagogical education helps to work as counselors and educators in children's camps and sanatoriums. Also, a teacher's diploma becomes a mandatory requirement for wealthy people who choose a nanny, governess or for their child.

If you feel the unrealized potential of a teacher in yourself, if you dream of teaching from school, no doubt, sooner or later you will face the question: how to get a pedagogical education?

Instruction

In many high schools, career guidance classes are created to help students decide on a career choice. If you are still studying in and you have a desire to become a teacher, try enrolling in teaching excellence to finally make sure that your intentions are right or wrong.

You can enter a pedagogical school or college after the 9th. The term of study in such institutions is about 3-4 years. Enrollment is based on the results of the GIA, although there may be entrance exams: usually mathematics and Russian, as well as an exam in the subject of the chosen profile of study. Education can take several forms: full-time, part-time and distance learning.

Find public universities that allow you to continue what you started in education. Perhaps there are some close to where you live. In this case, it will be possible to avoid a big move and get an education close to home. This has a great advantage, since it will be possible to combine study with a part-time job, many college graduates.

Decide on the form of higher education. Correspondence or part-time, it is also evening, will allow you to combine work with education. In this case, it will be possible to maintain a stable income and not lose a job. If the education received at the college does not meet the needs of the graduate, if there is a desire to get another specialty, one must follow a different model for choosing a university.

See a college psychologist. It happens that, according to which education was given in college, the graduate does not like it. Decide where to study

A teacher is a representative of one of the most widespread and socially significant professions. Every year, pedagogical universities and colleges graduate more than one hundred thousand young specialist teachers, whose professional functions are aimed at the comprehensive development of the individual, which means they determine the future of the country!

In today's article Reconomica will tell you what paths open up for a graduate of a pedagogical university. And analyze the pros and cons of each of them. Our expert will be an experienced teacher who has faced work at all levels of teaching.

My name is Obernikhina Elena Vladimirovna. By profession, I am a teacher. I would like to give a comparative description of the three professions:

  • University professor;
  • Teacher;
  • A kindergarten teacher.

In choosing a profession, the main thing is a thoughtful approach.

When I hear applicants from a pedagogical university talking about how they come here only to get a higher education, and plan to study in the future, it becomes ridiculous to me.

The fact is that the training program of any university in our country is formed in such a way that after graduating from it, a young specialist will be able to perform only one function - the one that is included in his diploma as a specialty. And for four or six years of study at a university, they will not teach him anything else.

Moreover, doing the same thing for several years of study, a young specialist will be clearly focused on a particular, specific type of activity. Therefore, the selection of a university should be treated very carefully. You need to choose the profession that you want to do for many years.

At the beginning of glorious deeds.

Professional career as an educator

A graduate of a pedagogical university has one indisputable advantage. It's called "the right to teach". Yes, don't be surprised. The fact is that after graduating from a pedagogical college (school), a young specialist can get a job at a school or kindergarten.

A graduate of any other higher educational institution, in order to become a teacher in one of the departments at his university, will have to complete a master's or graduate school, passing candidate minimums. It is a master's or postgraduate study that gives a graduate of a non-pedagogical university the right to teach.

Therefore, do not be surprised, but a mechanical engineer cannot teach labor in a secondary school, and a software engineer has no right to teach computer science to students. Such is the specificity of pedagogical and non-pedagogical diplomas.

Teacher qualification levels

A graduate of a pedagogical university, working in his specialty, has the right to apply for advanced training. Within the walls of the school there is such a gradation of qualification categories of teachers:

  1. Specialist;
  2. Teacher of the second category;
  3. Teacher of the first category;
  4. Teacher of the highest category;
  5. Methodist teacher;
  6. Honored Teacher of Russia.

Naturally, the fifth and sixth points are the privilege of the elite. And it is quite possible to improve to a teacher of the highest qualification category, but in 15-20 years. So, dear young professionals, be prepared to live for many years on the salary of a teacher of the first and second categories. And that's not a lot of money. That is why teachers really “love” to engage in tutoring - they just need money, but there is nowhere to get it.

Professional knowledge, skills and abilities of a teacher

What gives the end of a pedagogical university in practice? The answer is simple: a student, for several years, is taught to actively communicate, talk a lot, speak orally and be able to express their own thoughts in writing.

In fact, it costs absolutely nothing for any teacher to convince anyone of anything. The teacher is a good practical psychologist and a good speaker. However, the teacher is a poor earner of money, since the main personal qualities of a classical teacher are usually honesty and disinterestedness. In addition, any teacher, by nature, is an altruist.

Such a set of qualities will be received by any graduate of a pedagogical university who has worked for several years in his profession.

As for pedagogical skills, the word “methodology” should be mentioned. Methodology is the science of how to teach correctly. Moreover, any of the methods is designed to study a well-defined discipline, a specific age group of students.

Therefore, a geography teacher is unlikely to be able to teach Chinese to students. And an English teacher will not explain to students how to write computer programs.

In the diploma of each teacher there is a phrase relating to his specialty. For example: "specialty: physics and labor." This means that this teacher can teach students only labor and physics, but not chemistry or mathematics.

Profession "teacher"

I'll start the story about this difficult profession with a warning.

Being a teacher is difficult

It's a very stressful profession. Its main difficulty lies in the fact that it is necessary not only to seat the class in their places, to silence the children, and then listen to you, understand your explanation and answer the questions posed.

The main difficulty of this profession lies in conflicts with parents. For some reason, parents of graduates, instead of putting their own child to do homework and control him all year, come to school at the end of the school year to “force” the teacher to change the assessment of their beloved child.

The teacher's problem is that the "beloved child" is quite an adult, and in each class there are more than twenty such "children". And all these young men and women perfectly see which of them and how answers in the lessons.

Note that it is not a problem for any student to approach the teacher and ask him: “Why does Masha have a mark of five, and I have two?”

And, in my opinion, the child will be absolutely right. And I will have to meet these children in a year, and in twenty years. And it is much more pleasant when, right on the street, the students begin to introduce their children and spouses to you than when, having seen the teacher, the student crosses to the other side of the street.

My first teacher.

That's why I usually try not to satisfy the requirements of arrogant parents, to increase the appreciation of their child. And this is nerves and confrontation. Of course, any child has the right to learn a subject and retake it, but the mark cannot be increased by more than two points - this is the law.

In the school, in addition to children, there is also a teaching staff. These are teachers of all ages: from young to retired. Usually, a couple of times a year, during the holidays, a meeting of the pedagogical council is held at any school.

I'll be honest: the "pedagogical council" is not a pleasant event. You just have to sit and listen to the school administration for several hours in a row. Moreover, the information usually presented at the “pedagogical council” is neither important nor relevant.

Every few years the teacher should give an open lesson. This is done after refresher courses, before upgrading the category. Representatives of the city department of education and teachers from other schools are present at the open lesson. This is a very nervous event, and, as a result, they pay negligibly little money.

Keep in mind that a teacher's salary increases, on average, every five years. Moreover, they pay well for length of service, but for an increase in the category they give, in fact, a penny.

Cool leadership - not much pleasant, but they pay well

One of the least favorite activities of all teachers is “classroom management”. This means that it is the duty of the class teacher to justify himself to the school administration for any fault of the students of his own class.

Just imagine what it's like to listen to nasty things from the lips of the authorities, because of the tricks of offspring completely alien to you. Agree, it's not pleasant. And although for the last years the class teacher pays well, I was lucky never to become a class teacher.

The excuse is simple: as a computer science teacher, I do not teach lessons to the whole class - only to its subgroups, so I will never see my entire sponsored class. This excuse usually works.

The teacher is always to blame

In conclusion, I want to say that any graduate of a pedagogical university, within the walls of a general education school, will inevitably face a problem: « The teacher is always to blame » . This is the psychology of the school:

  • If the children broke the window, the teacher is to blame;
  • If the children wrote the test paper poorly, the teacher explained it poorly;
  • If the children did not wash the floor in the classroom, the teacher should wash it;
  • If children and parents complain about the teacher, he is also to blame, the poor one.

This, unfortunately, is the basic norms for the functioning of the school. And not a single young specialist has managed to ignore them yet.

Teachers are very fond of refresher courses and vacation time. When a quarantine is announced at a school - teachers usually greet this event with a loud “Hurrah!” - guess why.

Occupation Kindergarten teacher

The main types of professional activity of a teacher include preschool education.

pros

Arriving at work in the "kindergarten", you find yourself in a very pleasant and soft atmosphere:

  • each parent sets up his baby: to be obedient and love the teacher;
  • children "love" with kisses and hugs. Therefore, every morning of the teacher begins with kisses and hugs, as well as sweets donated by children. For some reason, each child brings one candy in his pocket to the teacher, as an indicator of friendship.
  • In the "kindergarten" children eat, play and sleep, and parents rejoice when, having come for a child, they see how the children do all this. Therefore, the teacher gets only respect and gratitude.

The sincere love of children is a pleasant bonus of working as a teacher in a kindergarten.

By the way, the duties of a kindergarten teacher do not include cleaning and mopping, taking out pots, washing, changing clothes soiled by a child, hanging out damaged sheets or washing dishes. It's all babysitting. The teacher should only keep the children busy, monitor the observance of the daily routine and conduct classes with the kids, of course, in a playful way.

Unlike the huge amount of knowledge required by a school teacher, a kindergarten teacher should only know the methodology of Maria Montessori. And it's just one big book. It is quite enough to competently perform all the duties of an educator for many years.

For myself, I can say one thing for sure: I am absolutely sure that I know what to do with a baby up to seven years old, and how to properly educate him. And this, believe me, is a very strong argument in favor of the profession of a kindergarten teacher.

And cons

The downside of the profession is accidental injuries to children. The child may fall off the horizontal bar, scratch another child, or not share a toy with him. Further depends on the parents and their attitude to what happened.

One parent will calmly pick up a child "decorated" with a bump or bruise, making sure that the injury was received in a collision with a plastic bucket. The other one will throw a temper tantrum in the kindergarten, and then run to complain to the city education department.

Another disadvantage of the profession is that after a few years, the child will not recognize you on the street, and you will not be able to remember him. So, you can not count on long tea parties with graduates, years later.

Higher education teacher

To be honest, a university teacher is a "celestial", both literally and figuratively. Every university follows the following rules:

  • If a student is not ready for class, that is the student's problem;
  • If the student did not understand the material of the lecture and the practical lesson, why should he study at this university at all;
  • If a student clarified relations with the teacher, wrote complaints about him, did not regularly prepare for classes, the teacher simply will not give him an assessment, and without this assessment, the student will easily be expelled from the university;
  • The teacher can always turn to colleagues to ask them not to evaluate the "problem" student. And vice versa, evaluate it better or worse - as necessary. Moreover, this unspoken rule is observed by absolutely all teachers of this university. After all, if one teacher was offended today, tomorrow, perhaps, another will be offended.

In my practice, I also met students who were expelled from the university after a conflict with a teacher. There were also those who, because of the “revenge” of the teachers, had to transfer to the correspondence department, just to get a diploma of higher education.

The teacher is always right!

The advantages of the profession of a university teacher can be considered:

  • High salary;
  • Formal style of communication and universal respect;
  • Adult communication - you must admit, this is much more pleasant than finding out, like in a comprehensive school, why students broke a window with a ball. This just doesn't happen in college.
  • A small amount of preparation for the lessons. For reference: a school teacher spends all evenings after work writing notes. It's long and unnecessary. But if a teacher comes to class without a summary, he is subject to immediate dismissal, and no court will justify him.

As for the university, notes are not required at all. All teachers during the year write methodological manuals for the next academic year. Then the department approves them and sends them to the printing house for replication.

Therefore, all teachers and students have such books - abstracts of practical classes. And the teacher writes only lecture notes.

But, given that only one abstract is needed for one week, the teacher will not overwork. After all, a university is characterized by a flow of students: all groups, in one week, study the same topic.

Disadvantages of the profession:

  • the administration of the university still analyzes and takes into account the complaints of students against teachers;
  • it is possible to check “for bribes” - whether the teacher takes them. And this is unpleasant.

A few words about salary - which of the teachers is paid more

In any case, my opinion is this: it is better for a teacher to work in his specialty where he can get a job. The only downside is advanced training.

  • University professor can increase his own salary only by seniority or the defense of a scientific dissertation;
  • school teacher can also raise the category, but only if he has completed higher education and works in the profession indicated in the diploma;
  • A kindergarten teacher can upgrade the category only if he has a diploma of graduation from a university, which indicates the profession: “preschool education”.

As for the salary, the highest monetary reward is paid in the universities of our country. But teachers of kindergartens and schools are paid approximately the same. Although we should not forget about the length of service, which significantly increases the wages of a school or kindergarten teacher.

All specialties of the world depend on a person who decided to devote his life to working with children and chose the profession of a teacher, because everyone - a simple worker, a doctor, a movie star, and a politician began their education from school.

The most vivid memories are always associated with the first teacher, so primary school teachers must have not only the appropriate education, but high moral character, love for children.

In order to work as a primary school teacher, you must obtain a diploma confirming the receipt of higher or secondary specialized pedagogical education in this specialty, you can also take training in a related or similar field. However, preference is still on the side of specialists with higher education, which is due to the specifics of this profession. After all, a primary school teacher is a teacher and a psychologist, an educator and a music director, a mathematician and a philologist, and also a "school mother" in one person.

You can get pedagogical education on the basis of 9 or 11 classes, which will take 3 and 4 years of study, respectively. Higher education of the first level is a bachelor's degree (4 years), and the second - a master's degree (2 years). There is also a third level, whose graduates teach at higher educational institutions.

How to become a teacher without a pedagogical education

Recently, an increasing number of young people have expressed a desire to master the profession of a teacher and, according to the classical method, boys and girls apply to teacher training colleges, universities and teacher training colleges, the latter allows teaching in various subjects in the senior classes of secondary schools.

However, guided by changes in the school education system, which have been in force since September 1, 2010, people without specialized education can be hired at school. A doctor, lawyer, economist can be engaged in training, teaching a subject as close as possible to the specifics of their work. To get the proper qualification, it is necessary to pass exams in one of the domestic pedagogical universities.

How to become a primary school teacher without a pedagogical education

The same applies to primary school teachers. After all, a teacher is not so much a specialty as a way of life, the call of the heart and soul. Often even the highest education does not help if a person does not like children, does not have endurance and self-control, and cannot cope with his own emotions. Therefore, a naturally talented teacher can work without special education, passing exams and confirming his qualifications at the appropriate university.

How to become an English teacher at school

In order to teach English to children, it is necessary to acquire knowledge that is not only taught in a foreign language, but also introduced to the methodology of teaching it at school. School methods are mastered at the Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, as well as at the university, choosing the specialization of an English teacher.

A school English teacher is in high demand, we can say that this is one of the most important professions of our time. After all, knowledge of English today is not just a tribute to fashion, but a necessity. Moreover, for the teacher himself, especially the young one, work at school is an excellent experience in improving pedagogical and professional skills.

How to become a history and geography teacher at school

The profession of a school geographer and historian is one of those specialties, love for which begins even when future teachers themselves go to school. Usually these are people who are in love with their land, the whole vast world and are able to sincerely rejoice in all its amazing manifestations like a child, passing on knowledge and emotions to their students.

You can get the profession of a school teacher of geography or history by enrolling in the geographical or historical-geographical faculty of a pedagogical institute or university. The training time is usually 4 years.

But you can also get a secondary pedagogical education, after which you can start working as a primary school teacher, while simultaneously studying at the correspondence department of a higher educational institution.

How to become a physical education teacher

It is hardly worth reminding once again about the importance of physical education of students. Schools are in demand for professional teachers who are able to instill in children a love for sports and convey the extreme importance of a healthy lifestyle, especially in today's environment.

You can get this profession in the technical school of physical culture only in full-time education. Graduates of the 9th grade usually study for 3 years and 10 months, and with a certificate of complete secondary education, the period of study takes 2 years and 10 months.

Admission immediately after school to an institute or university in the department of physical culture and sports will give a diploma of higher education, which can also be obtained after studying at a technical school, choosing both full-time and part-time forms of study at a university.

Teaching is a very noble and prestigious profession in Russia. But, unfortunately, the work of a teacher in a school is not highly paid. Due to low wages, the work of a teacher has become not only prestigious, but also in great demand in the vastness of the Russian Federation. Many teachers prefer to leave to work in other countries, and only a small number of teachers remain to work in their home country. In the ranking, the teacher's salary remains in the tail.

Becoming a teacher is not for everyone. This is a difficult profession that requires patience, endurance and love for children. Therefore, the main part of the teachers of the Russian Federation work not because of financial gain, but by vocation. They get moral pleasure from communication and work with children. The peculiarity of the teacher's work lies in the fact that the teacher must find a common language with the children, try to unite the class, make them friendly, and at the same time, the performance of schoolchildren should grow.

Many graduates of pedagogical universities, after completing their studies, express a desire to work at a school. There are several ways to get a job as a teacher at a school:

  1. Already in the 2nd or 3rd year, young teachers have practical training in schools. If the future teacher establishes himself as a sociable and qualified employee, then he has every chance to stay to work at the school where he did his internship. The teacher will need to show all his skills and abilities in order to earn the trust of the teaching staff.
  2. Employment of teachers in schools is carried out by local educational authorities (GORONO - the city department of public education and science). A future teacher, if he wants to get a job, can come to such an organization and find out about the availability of vacancies. It is worth coming no later than May-June. During these months, the teaching staff is recruited.
  3. Find out about vacancies at schools on your own. It is worth remembering that a positive reference from the place of practice will only increase the chances of a future teacher to get a job at a school. Therefore, in practice, do not neglect the advice of "senior" teachers.
  4. You can find a job as a teacher at a school on the Internet. There are many job search websites. On the site, go to the "Education" section, and the portal will automatically issue vacancies for various educational institutions of the selected city.

One of the most famous job search portals in Russia is Trudvsem.ru. The site contains a nationwide database of vacancies. It is necessary to enter the requirements of the future teacher in terms of salary, region and work schedule, and after that it is worth choosing the field of activity "Education, Science".

Main page of the site "Work for everyone"

  1. One of the easiest ways to get a job at a school is to apply to the home school you graduated from. If the teacher during the training found a common language with the teaching staff and established himself as a responsible person, then if there are free places, the specialist will most likely be able to get a job.

Many ambitious people who want to devote their lives to teaching are interested in the question of whether it is possible to get a job at a school as a teacher without having a specialized education. Unfortunately this is not possible. A person will need to graduate from at least a pedagogical college or lyceum. But with such an education, he can only become a primary school teacher. In order to teach in high school, you will need to graduate from a higher educational institution with a pedagogical focus.

In rare cases, you can get a job at a school without a specialized education. But for this, a person must thoroughly possess the knowledge that he wants to teach children. Employment decisions are made by the school administration.

In order to get a job at a school, it is not at all necessary to have work experience. Specialists without work experience are accepted in both municipal and private schools.

To increase the chances of employment, it is worth looking for work in areas where the percentage of demand for teachers is higher. In 2018-2019, the areas most in need of teachers are:

  1. Moscow region.
  2. Krasnoyarsk region.
  3. Krasnodar region.
  4. Leningrad region.
  5. Novosibirsk region.
  6. Sverdlovsk region.
  7. Volgograd region.
  8. Omsk region.
  9. Rostov region.

A well-written resume is very important when applying for a job. The resume contains information such as:

  1. Personal data.
  2. Experience.
  3. Education.
  4. Category.
  5. Qualification.
  6. Contact Information.
  7. Personal qualities.
  8. Discharge.

If a person already had work experience at school, then the duties performed at the previous place of employment are additionally included in the resume.

This information will help the school administration understand how qualified the employee is and what obligations can be assigned to him.

If the school administration is satisfied with the candidacy of the teacher, then an order for employment is issued. The order is drawn up by an employee of the personnel service. If one person is hired, then an order is drawn up in the form No. T-1. If two or more people get a job, then the personnel officer draws up an order in the form No. T-1a.

The order contains the following information:

  1. School name.
  2. Document number and date.
  3. Employment date.
  4. End date of the employment contract.
  5. Personnel Number.
  6. Full Name.
  7. Structural subdivision.
  8. Position.
  9. Terms of employment.
  10. The nature of the work.
  11. Salary and allowance for overtime work.
  12. Grounds for employment.

The order is signed by the principal of the school and the teacher.

If the basis for employment is not an employment contract, then the teacher is obliged to write and sign an application for employment.

Application for a job

To conclude an employment contract, the teacher must provide the school administration with a package of documents:

  • passport,
  • employment history,
  • education document,
  • a personal medical certificate indicating that the teacher has no health restrictions for working at school.

It is worth noting that the first year of work at school is not easy. During this period, the teacher gets to know the children, exchanges experience and forms of work with other young teachers.

Adaptation of work at school on average takes from 6 months to 2 years.

Requirements for teachers

The main requirement for teachers of various specialties is compliance with GEF standards(Federal State Educational Standard).

The GEF clearly spells out the personal qualities of schoolchildren, which it is the teacher who should help form. The Federal State Educational Standard indicates the main educational program, the workload in certain subjects. Also, it is in the Federal State Educational Standard that the main disciplines for studying are indicated.

  2. The profession is associated with nervous tension. Because of this, teachers often have health problems.
  3. Strict dress code. The teacher is a role model for students. Therefore, the teacher is forced to dress strictly and in a business style for work.

For comparison, here is a video about working in a US school. fundamentally different from ours.

Salary by profession

Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated August 10, 2015 No. 08-1240<О квалификационных требованиях к педагогическим работникам организаций, реализующих программы дошкольного и общего образования>clarified, in particular, the following.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 46 of the Federal Law of December 29, 2012 No. 273-FZ "On Education in the Russian Federation", persons with a secondary vocational or higher education who meet the qualification requirements specified in the qualification reference books, and (or) professional standards.

At present, the Unified Qualification Handbook of the positions of managers, specialists and employees (section "Qualification characteristics of the positions of educational workers"), approved by order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated August 26, 2010 No. 761n (hereinafter referred to as the handbook), is subject to application. From January 1, 2017, for similar purposes, the professional standard "Teacher (pedagogical activity in the field of preschool, primary general, basic general, secondary general education) (educator, teacher)", approved by order of the Ministry of Labor of Russia dated October 18, 2013 No. 544n ( hereinafter referred to as standard).

Both the handbook and the standard establish that a person applying for the position of a teacher must have a higher vocational education or a secondary vocational education in the direction of training "Education and Pedagogy" or in a field relevant to the subject being taught, without presenting requirements for work experience, or higher professional education or secondary vocational education and additional professional education in the field of activity in an educational organization without presenting requirements for work experience.

Thus, according to the above regulatory legal acts and explanations to them, it should be considered that persons who have, for example, higher professional education in the field of study "Education and Pedagogy" (qualifications - "Philologist. Teacher of Russian Language and Literature", "Historian. History teacher", etc.) and (or) in the field corresponding to the subject taught (specialty - "Russian language and literature", "History", etc.), meet the qualification requirements for Russian language teachers and literature, teachers of history and social studies, etc.

In addition, it must be taken into account that the lack of education on the profile of work (in the direction of training) in itself cannot be the basis for recognizing a pedagogical worker as inappropriate for the position held during his certification if the presentation of the employer, on the basis of which the attestation commission makes a decision, contains a positive, motivated, comprehensive and objective assessment of the professional, business qualities, results of the professional activity of the teacher in fulfilling the duties assigned to him by the employment contract.

Thus, you may well become a teacher at school, but what depends on the specialty you have received. In addition, in the course of work, you will most likely be able to undergo professional retraining, that is, roughly speaking, retrain as a teacher in another subject. For example, at my school, half of the teachers had diplomas from a classical university, and for some reason they impressed me more, but this is purely IMHO.

That is, it turns out that you can learn, for example, to be a teacher in a college, and then just go through professional retraining in half a year and become a teacher of mathematics or geography? Wow... But if a person is a cook or an engineer, can he, having undergone professional retraining, become a teacher, for example, a labor worker?
