A monument to Gorky, a square and a tram: what will happen to the square near the Belorussky railway station.

A convenient interchange hub will appear in the Kitay-gorod area. Six new dedicated lanes are laid along 14 highways in the center. The new traffic scheme is on almost two dozen streets. The biggest changes are in the area and on. Where should drivers be especially careful not to break or miss the right turn?

Tverskaya Zastava Square is full of traffic, not the usual traffic jam. This was achieved through a more rational distribution of traffic flows. Now the cars do not go towards each other, as it was before. At the same time, only one turn from Butyrsky Val was removed - to the right under the bridge for driving along Tverskaya to the center. Now this path lies through 2nd Brestskaya Street.

“The overrun is minimal, because it travels along Tverskaya, respectively, makes the same turn, only a little further. And due to this elimination, when cars no longer cross the general flow that travels from Brest streets, it was possible to make traffic more convenient — Now, for example, we can see that there are absolutely no cars,” explains Anastasia Pisar, spokeswoman for the TsODD.

Trams have returned to the square - they have not been running here since 1946. The tram will turn around in the square around the monument to Gorky, which has returned to its original place. The tram used to stop on Lesnaya Street, about a kilometer from here. Now the stop is equipped not far from the Belorussky railway station opposite the monument to Gorky. From here it will be possible to get to the Olimpiysky sports complex, Komsomolskaya Square or Ekaterininsky Park.

Another important change is that Chayanov Street will now be a through passage through Tverskaya. Before that, it was possible to cross the main highway either on Pushkin Square or on Tverskaya Zastava Square, it took a lot of time. In the near future, a traffic light will be installed at the intersection and traffic will be opened.

“And due to the fact that we will have a through passage on Chayanov Street, it will be possible to almost halve the time for residents of these areas who need to cross Tverskaya Street,” says Anastasia Pisar.

Serious traffic changes await motorists on the Garden Ring, as several new U-turns and exits will appear there at once.

"The traffic pattern on Samotechnaya Square has been changed: now, in order to turn to the outer side of the Garden Ring from Tsvetnoy Boulevard, you need to drive a little further along Olimpiysky Prospekt and make a U-turn at a dedicated traffic light so that you can later go both to the Garden Ring and turn back to Tsvetnoy Boulevard," says Artur Shakhbazyan, Deputy Head of the Moscow City Government Center for Transportation.

Six more lanes will be added to the existing 29 dedicated public transport lanes. Their length is seven kilometers. The longest one is along Prospekt Mira from the Third transport to the Garden Ring. They will also appear on Barrikadnaya Street, Nikoloyamskaya, Staraya, Novaya and Lubyanskaya squares.

"The priority of public transport is not a slogan written on colored paper, but it is some kind of reality. Here I am standing in a traffic jam, and a bus going along a separate lane easily overtakes me! Public transport has received a real priority, absolutely understandable to the user," — says Mikhail Blinkin, director of the Institute for Transport Economics and Transport Policy at the Higher School of Economics.

A new transport hub "Kitai-Gorod" has appeared on Slavyanskaya Square. Thanks to the new trunk routes, it will be possible to reach any point from the city center in 20 minutes.

“Traffic in the city center has become much more predictable, which is very important, because the places and points that created hotbeds of tension have actually been eliminated,” says Sultan Zhankaziev, head of the Department of Organization and Traffic Safety at MADI.

There will also be more hiking trails. Rybny and Bogoyavlensky lanes, as well as Birzhevaya Square, will become free from cars and turn into.

Tverskaya Zastava Square. Design decision

A through passage will be made through 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Square, trams will return to Tverskaya Zastava Square, and seven new dedicated lanes for public transport will appear on a number of streets in the city center.

The traffic scheme will be updated on almost two dozen streets in the center of Moscow after the completion of urban improvement under the program. Through 14 streets in the city center there will be seven new dedicated lanes intended only for public transport. And on Prechistensky Gate Square, Olympiysky Prospekt and Zubovsky Boulevard, new U-turns will open. After urban renovation in the center of Moscow, new parking lots for tourist buses will appear, Slavyanskaya Square will turn into a transport park "Kitai-gorod". All changes in the traffic pattern are aimed at making the city center more comfortable and accessible for public transport, and convenient walking routes leading to the sights of Moscow.

Where will dedicated lanes for public transport appear?

Moscow already has 29 dedicated lanes for public transport with a total length of 258 kilometers. After the completion of the landscaping work, seven more lanes will be added to them. The total length of the new dedicated lines will be more than seven kilometers. They will pass through 14 streets in the center of Moscow. At the same time, a 1.4-kilometer dedicated oncoming lane for public transport will appear on the one-way Sretenka and Bolshaya Lubyanka. The oncoming leased line will allow launching new convenient routes in the center of the capital. Public transport will not have to detour these one-way streets on the way back.

New dedicated lanes will run along the routes:

- through the Old, New, Slavyanskaya and Lubyanskaya squares, as well as through the Lubyansky passage, the total length is one kilometer;

— along Prospekt Mira, from Sadovoe to the Third Ring Road, total length — 2.3 kilometers;

- along Barrikadnaya Street, total length - 0.4 kilometers;

- along the Upper and Lower Radishevsky streets, the total length is one kilometer;

- along Nikoloyamskaya street, the total length is one kilometer;

— along Zhitnaya Street (on the section from Mytnaya Street to Kaluzhskaya Square) and Koroviy Val Street, the total length is 0.6 kilometers;

- along the streets of Sretenka and Bolshaya Lubyanka - 1.4 kilometers.

How will public transport go

Urban improvement will affect the expansion of urban public transport. Thus, a new transport park called “Kitay-Gorod” will start operating on Slavyanskaya Square. This is the first and only major urban transport hub in the center of the capital. Citizens will be able to comfortably transfer from the metro to day or night public transport departing from Slavyanskaya Square. It will also be possible to rent a bicycle there or take a taxi at a special parking lot. The operation of the new transport hub will make it possible to reach any point in the city center in 20 minutes. For tourist buses, separate parking lots will be made near the most iconic and interesting sights of the capital. So, parking for 18 buses will appear on Moskvoretskaya Street, near the Zaryadye Park, the same number of tourist buses will be able to accommodate on Prechistenskaya Embankment. A zone for 38 tourist buses will appear on Bolotnaya Street. And on Tverskaya Zastava Square, near the lobby of the Belorusskaya metro station, parking will be equipped for two buses that bring tourists for further transit to the airport by Aeroexpress. Near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior will also have its own parking for vehicles delivering tourists.

Citizens will also be able to use the new main bus route, which will connect Prospect Mira and Sretenka with the Kremlin Ring, Novy Arbat and Kutuzovsky Prospekt. This will allow passengers to reduce the time of travel by public transport to the city center and make them more comfortable - without numerous transitions, transfers, ascents and descents at the metro station. From Sretenka on the new bus it will be possible to get to Theater Square twice as fast (seven minutes instead of 15) and Novy Arbat (12 minutes instead of 25).

The ground transport network of the center of Moscow "Magistral" appeared in the fall of 2016, at the moment it is used by more than 500 thousand people daily. The "backbone" network includes 39 routes that follow at intervals of five to ten minutes. Routes are divided into main, regional and social.

As part of the improvement, the tram ring, which was dismantled in 1946, was returned to Tverskaya Zastava Square. The ring with a stop at the square became a natural continuation of the line, which until then ended in a dead end on Lesnaya Street. The only point of intersection of the extended line with traffic flows was the intersection of Lesnaya and 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya streets. Already existing trams No. 7 and 9 run along the extended tracks. After the changes, tram No. 7 instead of going to the Novoslobodskaya metro station goes to Belorussky Station along Palikha and Lesnaya streets. Tram number 9 from the metro station "Novoslobodskaya" also goes to the Belorussky railway station. Modern low-floor Vityaz-M trams, equipped with climate control, security cameras, and a fare collection system without turnstiles, run along the updated routes. The main directions of traffic and the number of lanes on the square remained unchanged. More than 60 synchronized traffic lights were installed here and connected by a new road Gruzinsky Val and Lesnaya Street, now you can drive from one street to another in a straight line.

Where will the new openings be?

Three new U-turns for motorists will appear on the well-appointed streets of the capital — Prechistenskiye Vorota Square, Olimpiyskiy Prospekt and Zubovsky Boulevard. Thus, motorists will be able to turn around at the northern lobby of the Kropotkinskaya metro station on Prechistenskiye Vorota Square. So they will get from the outside of Gogolevsky Boulevard to the inside, the turn will be in only one direction. Cars moving from Tsvetnoy Boulevard towards the region will be able to make a U-turn on Olympiysky Prospekt. At the same time, the U-turn on Samotechnaya Square, which previously existed on this route, will be closed. This will reduce the traffic load on the area. Another new U-turn will be organized on Zubovsky Boulevard - to get from the inside of the Garden Ring to Leninsky Prospekt. The existing U-turn on Zubovskaya Square will be kept as an understudy. At the same time, the turn on Kaluga Square has already been closed, which allowed motorists from the Garden Ring to drive onto Leninsky Prospekt.

It should be noted that the U-turn on Slavyanskaya Square, which allows driving from Novaya Ploshchad to Lubyansky Proyezd, will be closed for individual vehicles, it will be left only for city buses.

How turns and exits will change

On Serpukhovskaya Square, the turn from Bolshaya Serpukhovskaya to Lyusinovskaya Street will change. After updating the traffic pattern, it will be possible to get to Lyusinovskaya along Bolshaya Serpukhovskaya Street, bypassing Valovaya Street. The exit from Valovaya Street to Pyatnitskaya Street will be moved back in the direction of travel. After changing the scheme, motorists will be able to drive to Pyatnitskaya Street through 3rd Monetchikovsky Lane. The exit from the outer side of the Garden Ring to the Armory Lane will also change. In order to get into the alley, drivers will need to move off in advance to the road adjacent to Delegatskaya Street. The previous exit scheme to Armory will be abolished.

The urban renovation helped to get rid of narrowing lanes, or so-called bottlenecks, in two sections of the Garden Ring. Before the repair work, eight lanes on Zubovsky Boulevard on the outer side of the ring turned into three lanes on the Crimean Bridge. In this place there were constant traffic difficulties for transport.

And on the section of the inner side of Sadovoe, on Sadovaya-Karetnaya Street, the number of lanes was equalized. Previously, six lanes on this street turned into four before entering the tunnel under Triumfalnaya Square. Now there are four lanes everywhere in this section, except for the tunnel itself, where cars drive in three lanes.

At the same time, the Bolotnaya embankment will be opened for motorists. It will be possible to drive along the embankment from Bolotnaya Street to Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge. And on 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, a new opportunity will appear for motorists - a through passage will be opened there. Vehicles will be able to cross Tverskaya Street from Chayanova Street to Vasilyevskaya Street directly at the intersection equipped with traffic lights. Movement will be possible in the opposite direction.

Which streets will be pedestrian

Bogoyavlensky and Rybny lanes, as well as Birzhevaya Square, will become completely pedestrian. They will be included in a single walking route linking the Kremlin and Zaryadye Park. Passage through these streets will remain only for cars of residents (local residents or people working here), as well as special equipment and vehicles serving shops and cafes. To drive towards the Kremlin in the area of the new pedestrian zone, it is planned to open a left turn from 1st Golutvinsky Lane to Bolshaya Yakimanka, which will be made two-way - one lane in each direction.

The Yakimanskaya embankment has already become a pedestrian embankment in the section from 3rd Golutvinsky Lane to Bolshaya Yakimanka Street. Along with it, half of 3rd Golutvinsky Lane was closed to cars in the section from the intersection with 1st Golutvinsky Lane to the intersection with Yakimanskaya Embankment.

The area in front of the historical lobby of the Krasnye Vorota metro station on Sadovaya-Chernogryazskaya Street will become completely free from cars. To do this, the entrance to Myasnitsky passage from the inside of the Garden Ring, as well as the exit from Myasnitsky passage to Sadovaya-Spasskaya Street, will be closed. It will be possible to get to Myasnitsky Proyezd through Khoromny Dead End, and leave from there through Myasnitskaya Street.

New infrastructure after improvement will appear not only for pedestrians, but also for cyclists. Bicycle paths will be extended in Soimonovsky Proyezd and on Yauzsky Boulevard, thus, a single cycle route will be formed on the entire Boulevard Ring - a large ring cycle path along Moscow boulevards.

In 2017, under the My Street program, streets, embankments and squares with a total length of 65 kilometers. Sidewalks on city streets are being made wider, facades of houses are being put in order, places for recreation and viewpoints are being arranged in the city center. The main works under the My Street program will be completed by the City Day. Trees will be planted in the landscaped areas in late autumn.

For the last three years, throughout the summer, the center of Moscow has been turning into one huge construction site, so that by the City Day in early September it will please with renovated streets and squares. Every year the changes are bigger and bigger. This summer, due to repairs, even the main street of the city, Tverskaya, was blocked several times on weekends. Fortunately, this time the construction has ended, and now you can wander around Moscow, discovering its new sights. The square near the Belorussky railway station is perhaps one of the main ones. After falling apart for decades, the change is phenomenal!

An Aeroexpress train arrives at the Belorussky railway station from the Sheremetyevo airport. That is, in a good way, the square is the first impression of Moscow for millions of tourists every year who arrive in the Russian capital, including for the first time. I'm not talking about the guests of Moscow who come by long-distance trains from the cities of Belarus and Russia. The fact that they were met in Moscow first thing before is a real shame. Now the square near the station has changed beyond recognition: a branch of the renovated tram has been launched here, lawns have been made on which you can lie, spacious pedestrian areas. From now on, Moscow will seem like a successful European capital: neat, comfortable, skillfully combining history and modernity.

1. On the outskirts of the Belarusian railway station.

2. This year, among other things, they reconstructed Tverskaya Street from Triumfalnaya Square to the Belorussky railway station, laying asphalt and making new sidewalks.

3. Unfortunately, they did not dare to narrow Tverskaya on this section.

4. Nevertheless, the street still began to come to life: despite the multi-lane traffic, cafes and restaurants expose their terraces. By the way, in the photo is the terrace of an excellent cafe with Georgian cuisine - "Saperavi". Very tasty, I recommend if you are wildly hungry and near the Belorussky railway station.

5. Half-restored old courtyards.

6. Even before you had time to go to the square near the Belorussky railway station, you understand: something is not right here. Where is the fence covered with ten years of dust? Where is the ruin? Where are some incomprehensible broken-down pieces of iron?

7. Finally, you go out to the square itself and freeze in surprise. You seem to be in another city, although you find some familiar features in it. Ground crossing with traffic lights, clean, spacious area, plenty of space for pedestrians, green lawns and a modern tram!

8. There are still few such trams in Moscow, although it is noticeable - the city is quite actively purchasing such trams to replace the old ones. Here is a standard set: quiet running, you can easily pass through all sections of the tram from head to tail, low floor, comfortable seats, no turnstiles. By the way, there was no tram on the square near the Belorussky railway station either! It was dismantled from here in 2008: and now, finally, it is returning, and in what form! New trams, by the way, are of domestic production. Model - "Vityaz-M". Produced at the Tver Carriage Works.

9. So far, there are two routes from the square near the Belorussky railway station: a short one to the Novoslobodskaya metro station (neighboring along the ring with Belorusskaya) and a long one to Rokossovsky Boulevard (the northernmost station of the red line). Tram tracks now cross Tverskaya and go into the distance along Lesnaya Street.

10. Now travelers have a place to wait before the train departs.

11.

12.

13.

14. The monument to Maxim Gorky was returned to the square. This pedestal was installed here in 1951, but dismantled in 2005.

15. This is how the forecourts should look like. Although, of course, now there is a minimum of decor - so far there are not enough small architectural forms that would dilute the too large empty space.

16. Until recently, it seemed that there was no free space at the Belorussky railway station at all.

17. Waiting for a tram at a stop. Surprisingly many passengers, considering that the tram was just launched! Either there really was such a crazy demand, or it was everyone who just wanted to ride in the early days :)

18. Everything is equipped for the convenience of people with limited mobility and parents with strollers.

19. Curve of the tram ring.

20. In general, I was surprised that even though the square is new, life is already in full swing on it, as if the discovery was a hundred years ago! People are walking and relaxing, busily rushing to the tram, but these guys are training to jump on a skateboard.

21.

22. A tram pulls up to the stop.

23. Just a crowd of people landing!

24.

25. It is spacious inside, but all the free space is occupied by passengers! Excitement!

26. Very beautiful design!

27. The square was equipped not only from the side of the Belorussky railway station - but also from the one adjacent to the business center. Impeccable modern architecture is now much more visible without all those fences and trenches.

28.

29. By the way, the traffic pattern on the square near the Belorussky railway station has also changed a lot - new roads have appeared here! As a driver, I will say that it has become much more convenient, clearer, traffic jams have decreased.

30. But that's not all. Let's go to the other side of Tverskaya - fortunately, a barrier-free passage leads there: no stairs!

31. The eastern part of the square is generally more like a render - but no, now it's a reality.

32. It is a pity that the church is still hidden in the forests: after the restoration is completed, we will be able to admire this successful contrast of the new and the old. And yes, pay attention - the lawn is already being used for its intended purpose!)

33. Everything is neat again, a lot of green lawn, white tiles. I think the renovated square near the Belorussky railway station will soon attract a large number of standing cafes, restaurants and pubs! There is everything for this!

34. A beautiful wooden pavilion has not yet been opened.

35. Greenery is what you need in a big city.

36.

37.

38. We cross the road, and find ourselves in a long-built paradise for lovers of a modern metropolis and high-quality architecture - on White Square, which I am here

09/11/2017 - the reconstruction of the square is completed. A tram circle appeared, the parking was returned to its place (less than 100 places).

06/19/2017 - parking lots on the square of the Belorussky railway station were removed both from the side of Butyrsky Val and from the station, a traffic light was added at the exit from Butyrsky Val, the traffic pattern was changed, traffic jams in Moscow intensified, construction work began. What is happening in the square?

Projects for the reconstruction of the square of the Belorussky railway station were already in 2003, it was conceived in various directions with underground parking and the absurd addition of a shopping and leisure center even under Luzhkov. The center of the square with trees was removed back in 2006, and in 2007 construction began, but almost immediately stopped, traffic stopped. And in such a disassembled state, the square existed until now, i.e. 10 years. And were drawn, and traffic jams grew. Finally, in July 2016, the Moscow authorities finally abandoned the construction of an interchange with long-term digging in the ground and decided to reorganize the flat traffic and drag a tram from Lesnaya Street to the square and make a tram ring on the square. Now the movement looks something like this:

The area of the Belorussky railway station was prepared for construction (photo roads.ru)
Traffic scheme 2017 - Tverskaya Zastava Square

Regarding the interchange projects, the Mayor of Moscow said: “All our examinations and traffic simulations showed that this is a meaningless structure, as a result, cars still run into the neck of Tverskaya Street, into side lanes. And this will not do much except that we will turn up a huge construction site there, create more problems for the residents .... Next year, Tverskaya Zastava Square will be landscaped, traffic there will become more orderly, and this will be the end of it.”

The project of the area and the traffic scheme is as follows:

What do we NOT see on the new traffic pattern? There will no longer be a turn from Leningradsky Prospekt to Butyrsky Val (until now it was possible to drive around the square, having collected almost all the traffic lights).

But there will be an exit from 1st Brestskaya to Lesnaya Street (it has been gone for 10 years, but it once was) - 1 lane.

At the same time, the My Street program continues on 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street (former Gorky Street). reconstruction, and traffic is limited to 2 lanes. They promise to finish the construction on the square in September by the day of the city, so it is recommended to drive around the square during these 2-3 months.

But at the moment, the possibilities of going to the square are very limited:

  • From the side of 1st Brestskaya - narrowing into 1 lane
  • From the side of the Georgian shaft - narrowing into 1 lane or turn right to the 2nd Brestskaya
  • From the side of the Leningrad highway - 2 lanes and narrowing into 1 lane
  • From Butyrsky Val to the overpass - narrowing into 1 lane

Top view of Tverskaya Zastava Square, June 2017:

The result is tram rails laid across the 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya, already paved flush with the asphalt on 07/16/2017.

By Saturday, the builders had handed over the bulk of the work at the Belorussky railway station. The monument to Gorky was returned to the square, the traffic was channeled and a hub with a tram was launched. Ahead is landscaping, furniture installation, stops and navigation. Let me remind you that there used to be an asphalt field here. Let's compare what was done with the already historic snapshots from this spring.

It was

The history of the square for the last 20-30 years begins with a miracle - they wanted to turn it into a concrete monster, but they did not. Until recently, a number of urban planners have been working here, selling and parking. Fortunately, the crisis and complex underground communications prevented from spoiling the appearance of the square and paralyzing the city center. As a result, a traffic organization was developed with the separation of flows from parking in blocks and at least some kind of traffic logic:

Across Tverskaya, on Lesnaya Street, there was a stub of a push-and-pull tram line. The former roundabout was built up with a business center, so the tram was a kind of appendix with poor coordination with other modes of transport. It was a long walk from the tram stop to the metro, buses and the station itself:

It became

Not quite relevant, but giving an idea of the scheme of the new area:

Public space in the center. They did not have time to install street furniture, and the trees will be planted in late autumn so that they take root as much as possible:

Gorky was returned from Muzeon, where he was removed from the square in the 2000s. Historical justice in action:

The original lanterns of the overpass across the railway were also restored. This is crazy cool:

History is silent when and where exactly they disappeared, but in recent years the supports have stood bare. Before, I didn’t even know that there were once lanterns here ...

A reversal ring was made around Gorky, which made it possible to launch normal rolling stock. It was customary to remove the tram sludge from the project - so the second track disappeared. The decision is strange, because now tram drivers cannot rest between flights or use the second track to comply with the schedule and emergencies:

Now there are main tram routes. The area made it possible to pull the tram to the metro, train station and other stops - transfers became closer and more convenient:

Existing routes have been changed and intervals reduced. Hooks on route 9 were made due to infrastructural limitations of the network, but students will be able to get directly to electric trains and three metro stations.

Tverskaya trams pass through the previously existing automobile phase. Since it is customary for us to extend outbound highways and create traffic jams from scratch, trams stop for several minutes at only one intersection, along with cars. This is not the case - you need to break the phases and change modes more often.

Lesnaya Street will be reconstructed next year, but already today there is a separation with markings:

I drove to the square from Sokolniki on a day off in about half an hour. The same amount I would ride the subway (-+5 minutes). I didn’t test it on a weekday, but on Saturday all the seats were occupied:

New view of the station:

Tram platform. The fence is individual and frankly scary. Although the typical structures that are massively installed around the city are even worse.

Severe and merciless industrial design. There is enough creativity for the teeth of the Kremlin and coats of arms, although an ordinary chrome fence would look much better. In general, this is a nationwide problem of urban design - terrible things that should not attract attention in principle, they are trying to artificially improve and emphasize their wretchedness. So there were colored curbs, fences and all sorts of bright tires.

Gorky and George:

The paths were laid out with standard concrete tiles. Combination of granite and concrete:

It looks disgusting, but it highlights the dimensions of the tram. If it were not for the limited time, then it would be best to fill in the paths.

So far, only tram routes have been changed, and buses run along the old routes. There are not even pavilions on the square itself yet - only groundwork has been left for them in the form of electricity output and places for supports.

According to the new scheme, the routes that today unfold under the bridge will turn around at the metro, tram and station. That is, transfers will become much closer for passengers of express trains and trunk routes. For A12 and T18 traveling from Gruzinsky Val to Butyrsky, the stop will return to the station. T56 and T78, which now run to the Belorussky railway station with stops a kilometer from the station, will also have stops right on the square.

Streams for cars are canalized - drivers do not get into the asphalt field, where everyone drives according to the laws of the jungle. Due to sidewalks and safety islands, the physical trajectory is read in seconds, and does not terrify the driver.

The movement has become clearer and more logical with the preservation of all turns and lanes. Although it may seem to many that there is less space - before the boundaries of the asphalt were not visible, but now they are.

There was supposed to be a ground crossing through Tverskaya along the tram-car phase. There are exits, but there is no transition - what the hell? Is it someone? I'm not talking about cycling at all.

Taxi arrivals:

City paid parking:

Directly at the station, the drainage system was hidden under the slabs. Small gaps were left for water:

The technology is not new and has been used in the world for a long time, but in Moscow I have only seen this before. Given the timing and building culture, a lot of marriage:

The gaps and different levels of the plates are well felt even with a thick sole. So we are waiting for the work on the bugs.

So what?

A new hub has appeared in Moscow. After the installation of pavilions and the launch of Highway 2.0, it should become much more convenient for people to use public transport. At the same time, this will primarily affect bus passengers, not trams. Wangyu passenger traffic growth.

The very fact of the appearance of a tram in the center speaks volumes. The Moscow tram is more and more quickly saying goodbye to the image of an uncomfortable bucket of nuts in favor of modern and comfortable transport of the 21st century. I am sure that in the future a branch will be stretched from the new ring to Sokol and the tram will return to traffic along Leningradsky Prospekt, from where it was barbarously removed for the sake of a couple of lanes and the destruction of the area.

Gorky and the new square well complemented the image of the Tverskaya Zastava. With trees, this will become a good public area in the city center. With a large number of establishments around, it would be cool to make outdoor verandas to humanize the space - locals and employees will certainly appreciate this.

For readers from the regions, I want to note that the project is cool primarily due to planning and zoning. Expensive granite can be replaced with asphalt or concrete tiles, creating similar hubs in cities with a small budget.
