Fireworks September 10 observation decks. Secret Fireworks Viewing Sites No One Knows About

On May 9, in honor of the Great Victory, festive salutes and fireworks in Moscow will be launched from 33 city sites. The sky above the evening city will be decorated with golden peonies, colorful chrysanthemums, as well as red, blue, green and yellow balloons.

The tradition of festive fireworks in the capital was founded on August 5, 1943. Then, in honor of the liberation of Belgorod and Orel, salutes were organized by "improvised means" - artillery crews of the Kremlin garrison and air defense forces. On May 9, 1945, in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, a salute of 30 volleys from a thousand artillery pieces was also given. Each gun salvo was accompanied by a directed colored searchlight beam.

This year, more than 80 thousand volleys will sound over the city. Pyrotechnic shows will start at 22:00 and will last about five minutes.

“High-altitude fireworks will be organized at 16 sites. Perhaps the most colorful show can be seen in Pobedy Park on Poklonnaya Gora. Pyrotechnics will be launched from two points at once,” the press service of the Moscow Department of Culture said.

In addition to Gorky Park and Victory Park, fireworks will be launched in Sokolniki, Krasnaya Presnya and Kuzminki parks, Tagansky and Lianozovsky parks, the Hermitage Garden, the Bauman Garden, etc. At the same time, there is no single standard program. Each of the parks has prepared its own fireworks scenario.

Where is the best place to watch the brightest Victory salutes?

The very first and obvious idea is to go to Victory Park. Perhaps the most advantageous viewpoint is really located there, near the Victory Monument on Poklonnaya Hill. There you can clearly see not only the salute itself, but also the work of artillery crews.

An excellent view of the capital's sky, through which fireworks flash in bulk, will also open on the central observation deck near Moscow State University. From there you can see several fireworks at once. The main disadvantage of this option is that it is known to everyone and in order to take a comfortable position you will have to arrive in advance. As an alternative to Sparrow Hills, you can go to the observation deck near the Russian Academy of Sciences on May 9 and it will certainly be crowded there.

You can enjoy the fireworks, and at the same time take a spectacular selfie, on one of the bridges in the center of Moscow. The Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge, located near the Kremlin, is ideal for this. The disadvantage of this option is also only that it is known to everyone and coming at the last moment, it will be difficult to find a good vantage point. However, you can find alternative options and visit other bridges that evening, from which fireworks are also clearly visible - the Crimean Bridge near the Park of Culture, the Patriarchal Bridge near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior or the Bagration Bridge.

Another unexpected idea from where you can see the fireworks well is the Moskva River. Most organizers of river walks in the capital have special offers for May 9, which, in addition to the walk itself, include an entertainment program, and sometimes even a small buffet. The ticket price starts from 2-2.5 thousand rubles.

Everyone who is not lucky enough to live in one of the skyscrapers is probably familiar with the annual story of fireworks - only reflections are visible from the balcony, and crowds of people are on the bridges and embankments. We chose places where you can come with children - and the views are excellent, and they definitely won’t be trampled, and in some places you can eat ice cream.

Observation deck of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Chamber platform at the foot of the building of the Academy of Sciences on Leninsky Prospekt. Few people know about it - usually here, admiring the sunset, locals hug. From here you can’t see the whole of Moscow, in this sense the site loses to Sparrow Hills, but here a completely unfamiliar view opens up on the city. The salute here is one of the most spectacular in the city. We advise you to plan your day in such a way that you arrive at Sparrow Hills three hours before the fireworks, take a walk along the ecological paths of the park and study all the birds and mice.

Central Children's Store on Lubyanka

Seventh floor of the Children's World. It's not high here, but you can see the sky, and the roofs, and people, and the city turns into a detailed model, which cannot be achieved, for example, on Sparrow Hills. From here you can partially see the Kremlin, the Pashkov House, the Polytechnic Institute, which is now in the woods, the Shukhov Tower. The site is equipped with binoculars, but there are always terrible queues for them.

Fireworks on high

We also advise you to grab a blanket if you dare to watch the fireworks on some Moscow roof. Such services are provided by dozens of tour companies. The cost varies from 1500 to 4000 rubles - the closer to the center, the more expensive. If you don’t feel like paying, you can try to break through to the upper floors of the skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya embankment. Experienced roofers say that the concierges there are very accommodating.

TV tower "Ostankino"

And finally, the choice of our editors. The best view of the fireworks will open from the observation deck of the Ostankino TV tower, if only because the fireworks will shine at eye level. Climbing there on May 9 will cost 980 rubles for an adult, 490 for a child. The tour will last an hour.
