The federal list of textbooks for the 2017/2018 academic year is a list of 1300 educational books (according to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation). However, these are not final estimates yet, since the final update will occur after the approval of the content of a number of disciplines and teaching concepts by the department.

The list of recommended benefits, according to the law, is compiled every three years. The new list of textbooks for the 2017/2018 academic year was adopted in 2016, so there will be no changes in the next 3 years. This takes into account the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard (State Standard of the Russian Federation), which has been used in schools since 2012.

Procedure for compiling the list

Employees of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation carefully monitor the development of education. To do this, every 3 years, all training manuals are scrupulously checked in the following areas:

• relevance in the scientific field;
• accessible narrative style and ease of assimilation of the material (if a negative attitude has formed over the previous period, the textbook is edited or removed from the list).

Federal standards of public education are supported by the ministry at a high level in all regions of the Russian Federation. This provides graduates with prospects for entering universities and universities. This will also be required to achieve maximum success in future work.

Which authors and publishers are preferred?

Heidman, Peterson, and Granik are among the in-demand authors of textbooks. After the books by Kudina, Domogatskikh and Davydov were withdrawn from the program, a number of teachers showed dissatisfaction. However, the Ministry of Education considers this measure mandatory for the development of independent learning skills and the organization of free time in schoolchildren. Publishing houses are popular: "Russian Word", "Drofa" and "Enlightenment".

Educational materials of a new type are used to develop logical thinking in children of the current generation instead of the usual memorization of the text. The child is encouraged to be independent based on the knowledge gained in the classroom.

The use of books from the list is optional. The order of the Ministry of Education only calls on educational workers to pay attention to them, although school principals perceive this as a strict requirement.

The legislation provides for the formation of a list of recommended textbooks with a frequency of 1 time in 36 months. The first approved list provoked many controversies. Some textbooks were excluded for unsatisfactory content, while others were found to contain typographical errors and were also withdrawn. All these nuances were taken into account by the Federal List of Textbooks for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Features of the new federal list

In the previous list, many history textbooks did not meet the standard developed by scientists. As a result of the selection of 50 authors of these books, only 15 were approved. The new list, approved by the Federal State Educational Standard, was changed by one third and approved not for 3, but for 5 years. The books included in the new list have undergone several examinations for compliance with the concept of a particular subject. The list on geography, social studies, art, technology, physical education has been finalized.

Excluded from the federal list are obsolete or obsolete notebooks and textbooks. New authors of textbooks appeared, proving their superiority before the state commission. According to the legislation, the list of recommended textbooks is formed once every 3 years. Considering that the last list was adopted this year, it will remain unchanged in the 2017-18 academic year. The list fully complies with the state general education standard of the Federal State Educational Standard, to which all Russian schools switched five years ago.

The list is developed by the Department of General Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Recently, significant changes have been made to it, which radically changed the attitude towards education. The methodological and basic literature has changed. The last changes took place on 01/26/16.

What is the FGOS

Despite the fact that we all studied at school, few people probably heard about the abbreviation GEF. It stands for Federal State Standard of Education. It includes all the requirements that apply to institutions of secondary and special education. According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Educational Standard is approved as a law that all educational institutions without exception must comply with.

Such standards do not exist in all countries. For example, in Western developed countries there is no unified education program and each school conducts the educational process according to its own programs and textbooks. Moreover, there the students themselves choose the subjects for learning. This is probably why Western education cannot be called the best in the world.

GEF in Russia provides uniform requirements for the educational process, regardless of where the student receives education in the Central Federal District or the Far East. Throughout the country, the standards are the same and are designed to ensure the continuity of the stages of the educational process. So a student who has been trained at the first steps in Kamchatka can easily and simply continue to study, for example, in Kaliningrad or Moscow.

The current standards, which began to be developed in 2009, belong to a new generation. Unlike the first generation, which made minimum requirements, the modern Federal State Educational Standard assumes maximum loads in the field of knowledge. It contains the following requirements...

To the development of educational material, which focus not on the amount of knowledge, but on the versatility and ability to independently search for the necessary information using new technologies and through closer communication between students. The requirement also refers to the expected results of mastering the material in specific subjects and indicates the quality indicators that graduates need to achieve, such as:

• tolerance;
• law-abiding;
• maintaining health;
• respectful attitude towards the Fatherland.

The structure of the educational process, which indicates the areas of knowledge required to be studied in schools, includes:

1. natural Sciences;
2. social Sciences;
3. ecology.

Sufficient attention should also be paid to extracurricular education in schools. The entire educational process must take place in accordance with the GEF.

To the conditions for the implementation of the educational process, which contain information regarding:

• financing;
• professional skills of teachers;
• school supplies.

Before being included in the list, textbooks undergo three examinations:

1. scientific;
2. pedagogical;
3. public.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education, after the approval of the list of textbooks, they are purchased in the required quantity by schools. Purchases are made every five years.

In accordance with the latest changes, dozens of textbooks have been withdrawn from the school curriculum. They did not pass a rigorous check on the Federal State Educational Standard. Some media outlets did not approve of such actions and called this situation "forced education."

Many teachers and parents also do not agree with the conclusions of the Ministry of Education about the "harmfulness" of some teaching aids. A. Stelmakhovich - teacher of the year 2014 advises including in this list a manual for literary reading edited by Novlyanskaya and Kudina. In her opinion, the geography of the Domogatskys should also be left behind. Teachers of progressive schools, whose students won honorary titles at math olympiads, do not understand why Davydov's manuals were not included in the list of textbooks approved by the Federal State Educational Standard.

At the same time, there is a demand for such authors as:

• Granik;
• Geidman;
• Peterson.

Their approach to the educational process was highly appreciated by specialists. Currently, the emphasis is on logical thinking, and not on stupid memorization of information. Now the list, approved by the Federal State Educational Standard, contains 1,300 benefits in various areas.

Requirements for textbooks 2018

Information in textbooks should be simple and understandable for students. They must also be submitted electronically. In addition, literature should have an attractive appearance and have a cognitive emphasis. All books pay attention to the font. For junior classes, in accordance with age characteristics, it is slightly larger.

Textbooks for the first stages of education contain a large number of illustrations to develop the creative inclinations of students. In manuals for high school students, the emphasis is shifted to independent work.

The Ministry of Education keeps pace with the times. The list of textbooks includes only those manuals that have an electronic counterpart. This was done in order to access more students to educational literature. Moreover, at the moment, many benefits are quite expensive:
