The military law school was founded in Russia in 1719. Emperor Peter I is considered the founder of the school “for the education of military lawyers”. According to his special Decree, it was ordered to take to the Military Collegium to study auditing cases “twenty kind and young people from the gentry minors (junkers), who can read and write.” Subsequently, by order of Peter I, several gentry children were sent abroad to study law.

On March 30, 1956, a powerful eruption of the Bezymyanny volcano occurred in Kamchatka, as a result of which ash clouds rose to a height of over 45 kilometers. The first eruption on the peninsula, studied in detail by Soviet volcanologists.
