Where is the prey technician hiding? Side quest "sobering up tank"

From now on, just take it for granted that each next location will be littered with enemies: both Dahl's combat robots and typhons. There is no point in fighting them at this stage - no one will let you explore the environment at your own pace.

Dahl himself is in the Life Support department, and more specifically, in the oxygen flow control room. In order to prevent him from causing even more chaos than he has already done, we strongly recommend that you disable the mercenary as soon as possible. If you also saved Dr. Igwe, this action will also have far-reaching consequences, which we will talk about a little later.

In the meantime, it is necessary to find Dahl himself. On the main elevator, go to, you guessed it, the Life Support Department and after going down the stairs to the lobby, turn right. You will be taken to the atmosphere control room. The oxygen flow control room you need is on the right side of the entrance, up the stairs. There are several ways to get there:

  • break (see screenshot above) a small window next to the stairs and crawl through the resulting hole;
  • crack the code panel next to the door - you will need the fourth level of the corresponding skill;

  • use the service hatch (see screenshot above) next to the fan control room - to reach it, you will have to use the gypsum gun.

To neutralize Dahl, simply use a shocker against him " stunner"or skill" electrostatic explosion". You can even temporarily pump out oxygen from the entire atmosphere control room (to do this, repair the fans and initiate decontamination at the terminal in the air filtration control room opposite).

After some time (if Dahl survived), Dr. Igwe will contact you and invite you to the Neuromod implantation room on the second floor of the Neuromod Department. Follow Igve's instructions and run the necessary procedures on the terminal - the heroes now have a qualified shuttle pilot at their disposal.

Several endings, but some of them, while seeming individual, may have general consequences. One way or another, they all depend on what actions you take at the end of the game and throughout the story. The fate of the Typhons, the crew, the entire Talos-1 will fall on your shoulders. The protagonist (-yin) can either save himself (figuratively speaking), or destroy the station, and in many ways besides. There are also variants of endings and achievements/trophies that require special conditions.

Below we will consider everything in detail and figure out what endings are, what conditions are necessary and much more. There are also opportunities to save the team or not, whether to take out on a shuttle, and so on.

The material is large, so again you have to break it into pieces. In this material there are two more and a different epilogue, a few words about Dahl's shuttle and not only. In total, we counted eight endings.

During this ending option, you can get the achievement/trophy "Push the Fat Guy" (Push the Fat Guy), for which you just need to kill Alex, for example, with a shot from a pistol.

Ending 4 Destruction of Talos-1 and escape

In the course of ending 3, there is an option not only to sacrifice the hero, but also to escape - and there are two of them.

Within the 8-minute timer, you can travel to the top of the Arboretum to Alex's escape pod. It doesn't matter if you completed the mission "Who are you, December" or not, but the key card to the capsule is in the "Residential section" in Alex's room. Use Alex's computer to pull out the bridge to it and then head to the pod and leave the station. That is, if you thought about it during ending 1 and decided to play some more, now is the time to use the capsule.

Ending 4b Destruction of Talos-1 and Escape (shuttle+crew)

After activating Talos-1 Self-Destruct, Walter Dahl will contact you and inform you that he is ready to wait for you to evacuate. You will have 50 seconds to run from the Arboretum to the main elevator and go to Talos Hall 1 and then to the Shuttle Bay. There will be enemies around you, so be careful and try to run away, time is running out.

If you saved the crew, then Aaron Ingram, Sara Elazar, Dr. Igve, Ekaterina Ilyushina (English version of Mikhaila Ilyushin) will be waiting for you on the shuttle. You can even chat with each of them. Search the shuttle's hold with the card key you stole from Dahl. There are neuromods and resources.

When you're ready to take off, go to the cockpit and sit on the free seat on the right next to Dahl. After this, the shuttle will leave the station and Talos-1 will complete its story.

Ending 4c Destruction of Talos-1 and Escape (uncrewed shuttle)

This option is considered if you killed all the crew members and no one will meet you on the shuttle, except for Dahl himself.

At the same time, there are some moments in the crew destruction sequence . This option gives achievement/trophy "Awkward Ride Home"

  1. Kill all living people that you will meet until you complete the study of the Data Storage compartment.
  2. Save Dr. Ygva's life in the Cargo Bay.
  3. Keep killing people until the station reboots.
  4. After a message from Igwe that he is in your office, go to the Cargo Bay and kill everyone there.
  5. Continue the game until Dahl arrives.
  6. Complete the Missing Persons mission to earn the Missing Persons achievement/trophy. There are 265 people in total. The most convenient way is to use the security computer, which lists all employees by station compartments. You choose one person - find it, choose the next one - go to the point and so on. We will not give a list, it is freely available in the game.
  7. Make sure all the people are dead except Dahl, Alex and Igwe.
  8. Go to the Arboretum and at the moment when Dahl wants to kill Alex - prevent it, but do not kill Dahl.
  9. Complete "Incapacitate Dahl".
  10. Kill Dr. Ygwe.
  11. Go through the story further and choose the destruction of Talos-1.
  12. After activating the timer, head to Dahl's shuttle.
  13. Make sure that there is no one else in it besides Dahl, otherwise you will have to load early saves and look for more survivors.

Ending-Epilogue

Regardless of what you choose at the end of the game, Morgan Yu will awaken in a secret location surrounded by Alex and four operators. All of them will speak in the voices of Sara Elazar, Dayo Igve, Ekaterina Ilyushina, Daniella Shaw. They will do some retrospective of your entire game. How many and whom did you save, used the abilities of typhons and which neuromods, destroyed Talos-1 or saved, what did you do with Daniel and much more.

To get the Do No Harm trophy in Prey, you need to complete the game without killing a single person. At the same time, developers turn a blind eye to indirect killings. If someone killed himself trying to attack you, that's not your problem. Refused to look for a cure for Catherine? Well, the girl was not lucky, this does not affect the achievement in any way. Want to blow up Talos 1? Don't worry, you'll be forgiven for that too.

How to get the Do No Harm achievement in Prey?

We have already found out the main thing - not a single person should die directly from your hand. All allies, quest givers, as well as workers whose minds are controlled by typhons fall under the achievement. If someone really bothers you, use a shocker. A full charge stuns a person for a long time. Also, do not use utilizing grenades and other mass destruction abilities near people, this can destroy them.

If you need to kill someone to get another trophy (Alex or a cook, for example), just reboot after that. You will still be able to get the Do No Harm achievement at the end. the kill counter resets to its previous state along with the reload. As you progress, you will meet the following people:

  • Trevor J. Young- We will meet him in the Talos-1 lobby, in the quarantine room of the emergency room. His mind is controlled by typhon. At the first stages of the game, you can’t help him, so just pass by. If you want, come back and save him later.
  • Frank Jones and Emmanuella DeSylva- these two will meet us in the shuttle bay (in one of the escape pods) as part of the additional task Escape Attempt. Don't launch Escape Pod 2 ahead of time as it could kill them. To get started, get out on the skin of "Talos-1" and get to the jammed hatch. To blow it up, you need to shoot at the red rivets.
  • Greenhouse- in the greenhouse of the arboretum we will find three people whose mind is controlled by a telepath. This will trigger the Save the Rani side quest. You can get inside in several ways. The easiest way is to hack the computer at the entrance or climb over the top with the gypsum gun (the building has no roof). Be very careful not to accidentally kill anyone.
  • Aaron Ingram- this volunteer will meet us as part of the additional task Prisoner in the laboratory of psychotronics. There is a computer next to the glass box in which he sits. You can either kill him or release him. Obviously, in order to receive an achievement, it should be released or passed by.
  • residential section- here we will meet 18 people whose minds are controlled by typhons. Don't kill them. If you need to pass nearby - use a shocker. You can help them after you learn Mind Hacking.
  • Will Mitchell(aka Luka) - pretends to be a cook in the kitchen in the living area, he must be killed in order to get the Serve Cold achievement. Just reload the game after that and you will still be able to get Do No Harm.
  • Dr. Dayo Igwe- a character that can be saved as part of the additional mission of the same name. Rescuing him will give you the Drift achievement. On the container with the doctor there is a number that you need to enter into a computer nearby and dock it to the station.
  • Sarah Elazar and all her officers- you will meet them during the story mission Receiving and sending in the cargo hold. You will have to help her squad fight off the Typhons, and then complete a couple more tasks.
  • Ekaterina Ilyushina- we will meet her at the power plant, in the cooling systems monitoring room, before we go to the reactor. As part of the additional task Help Ekaterina Ilyushina, we need to find a cure to save her life.
  • Walter Dahl- appears in the game after completing the story quest Before I give you the key. You must spare him as part of the side mission Incapacitate Dahl. Use a shocker, it will stun him. This behavior will allow you to pull all the survivors from the station in the future.
  • Alex Yu- we will meet him after we deal with Dahl's technician as part of the Consultant story mission. For killing him, you get the achievement Push the Fat Man. After that, as in the case of the cook, it is enough to reboot.
If you failed a side quest or simply never met these characters, the game will not consider it a murder. So, in theory, going fast will go a long way towards getting the Do No Harm trophy. Escape from the station in Alex's escape pod does not count as a run. The choice of ending doesn't matter either.

Incapacitate Dahl

If Dr. Igwe is still alive, then after Dahl's arrival, he will offer a rescue plan. We come to the doctor in his room in the Hall, listen to him.

We do not kill Walter Dahl, only he can drive a shuttle, and therefore he is needed for a successful evacuation. The easiest way to knock him out is by completing an additional quest to clean the air in the life support bay. In other places, you will need a shocker or the ability of typhons to stun him.

Dahl's stunned body will be taken by Dr. Igwe and taken to the Neuromod Department, where on the top floor you can erase a person's memory when removing Neuromods. We get to the place, the doctor is already there behind the round glass. On the computer panel, press the buttons to start the operation. Dahl will forget everything, and the doctor will convince him to return to the shuttle and prepare for the evacuation.

At the very end, when we turn on the self-destruction of the station, we need to get from the "Captain's Bridge" to the "Shuttle Compartment" in 8 minutes, and Dahl will take us out of the station.

All caches look like fire alarms on the wall, there are many of them throughout the station, but the caches are different in that they have a red light above the alarm. To open such a cache, knock on the panel with a wrench 3 times. Location of all caches:

Who are you, "December"?

Psychotronics laboratory. As soon as we enter the new compartment, the "December" bot will contact us, it offers not to comply with quarantine, but to leave the ship on a rescue capsule. The bot makes an appointment for us on the upper floors of the neuromod compartment. (If we want to see this branch of the plot, we must immediately return and go to the meeting, otherwise we will not have time).

Here on the railing lies a man who was not there before, we examine him, we find a map and a code from the security booth 5344. We open the doors, climb to the upper floors. Nightmare is hunting you

If we install more than a dozen Typhon Neuromods, a huge monster will periodically start chasing us. If you do not use neuromods, then the monster will appear only in the final stages of the game.

Nightmare appears for 3 minutes. During this time, we need to hide or kill him. Due to its large size, the monster does not fit through some doorways, and it is easy to hide from it in the side rooms. After the time expires, the monster disappears, and then reappears after a certain number of transitions between compartments.

Ambiguous Signals

When the huge monster Nightmare hunts us 3 times, the January bot will offer a way to get rid of it.

Hardware laboratory - Mechanical shop. On the floor we see a glass compartment where the body of the space satellite is stored. To get it, you need to repair the panel in front, and this requires a level 3 repairman skill and 8 spare parts. Having repaired the panel, we press the button, the satellite compartment will open, we take the antenna from it.

Talos-1 skin. We go into space, find an active satellite, install our antenna on it. Through it we can send signals to the Nightmare.

The signal can be sent only 4 times. We can either chase away the Nightmare after it has appeared, or specifically summon it to a place convenient for us. After 4 uses or after the death of the monster, the task will be completed.


Cargo Bay Defense

Cargo compartment. We find the shelter of the surviving people, their leader Sarah asks for help - you need to get and put 3 machine gun turrets. To do this, you need to restore electricity in the compartment (we go through the Fuel storage compartment, press the button on the panel), and find the blueprint of the turret (it is in space, in the hole to the left of the exit, in the safe). Having the blueprint, we approach the fabricator, create a portable turret . But all three turrets can be found in finished form:

1. In the leftmost airlock, at the top of the inclined elevator.

Elevator problems
