How a soldier stopped the Georgian column. Three hundred Spartans are not needed - just one is enough: a Russian soldier with a machine gun at the ready stops a Georgian column during the battle for South Ossetia

Russian is not a nationality. This is the spirit, this is the attitude to the world. To duty, honor and his comrades. It is the readiness to sacrifice oneself in the name of Russia, in the name of duty, in the name of the Motherland. All this is completely incomprehensible to liberals, but it is understandable to any Russian, regardless of his nationality. So liberals and ... not Russians. In terms of spirit and attitude.

An excellent article from the resource sevkavinform.ru tells us an unknown page of our recent history.

08/08/2008, South Ossetia. War. Russian soldier and Georgian infantry column.

This famous photo. Georgia, 08/08/08 After the defeat of the Georgian army, its retreating units regrouped and decided to return to Gori, but stumbled upon syrian checkpoint.

Has everyone seen this photo!? Who thought about the essence of what happened?

The photo shows how a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces, ready with a machine gun, confronts the motorized infantry of the Georgian Armed Forces, the officers of the column threatened the machine gunner to get out of the way and let them through, to which they heard in response “Go to hell ...!”. Then the media, who were moving with the convoy, tried to talk to the machine gunner, and received the same answer. As a result, the column turned around and moved back to where it came from. Foreign journalists then published an article entitled "300 is not necessary, one is enough."

What was this soldier thinking? What did he feel at that moment? Wasn't he scared?

Surely it was. Or did he not dream of having children and grandchildren, and living a long and happy life? Of course I wanted to.

Do you imagine a NATO soldier standing like this with a machine gun in front of an enemy column?

Me not. They value their lives too much. Then what's wrong with you? Why are you Russians different?

And why do foreigners consider you crazy and unpredictable people?

It is not at all a matter of fearlessness or a disregard for the most precious thing that we have - our own life. Then what? I started looking for an answer.

Is there still a people who would so desperately love life and everything connected with it?

You live with an open mind, with a hussar scale. You're the one inviting gypsies and bears to your wedding. It is you who are able to arrange a holiday with the last money, generously feed all the guests, and wake up in the morning without a penny in your pocket. You know how to live as if every day of your life is your last. And there will be no tomorrow. There is only now.

All your poems and songs are literally permeated through with love for life, but only you know how to listen to them and sob uncontrollably.

Only your people have sayings: "Love, - so the queen, steal, - so a million", "Who does not risk, he does not drink champagne." This is from the desire to drink this life to the bottom, to experience everything that can be done in it.

Then why are you Russians, standing and looking into the eyes of the enemy, able to part with this life so easily?

This is embedded in your genetic code and originates from the very times when the first aggressor set foot on our Russian land. It has always been so. At all times.

Only chain mail and helmets have changed, spears have been replaced by machine guns. You have tanks, and you have learned to fly. But the code remains the same. And it always works in you when your house is about to be destroyed or taken over. And he does not give you rest if the weak are offended.

How it works? Disturbing music begins to sound in you, which only you can hear. This code sounds like a bell in you until the uninvited guests are thrown out of your land.

And this is where the most important thing happens. A warrior wakes up in each of you. In everyone, from small to large. And it binds you with an invisible thread. And foreigners do not understand this. To do this, you need to BE Russian. BORN them.

When your land is in danger, or someone is offended somewhere on earth, whether in Abkhazia or Ossetia, or in the Donbass, your snipers become the most accurate, tankers - fireproof. The pilots turn into aces and remember such incredible things as a corkscrew and a ram. Your scouts work wonders, your sailors become unsinkable, and your infantry resemble the tenacious tin soldiers.

Therefore, those who are going to attack the Russians and expect to see kneeling Russians on Russian soil, with loaves and flowers, will have to be very disappointed. They will see a completely different picture. And I don't think they'll like it.

They are destined to see a Russian man who became a Warrior, next to whom will stand fearless brothers - wars, of all peoples and nationalities living in Russia!

P.S. The Russian soldier in the photo is completely non-Slavic in appearance and nationality. But who will turn his tongue to call it not Russian?

Thinking foreigner...

According to Russian customs, only conflagrations
On Russian soil, scattered behind...

Comrades were dying before our eyes
In Russian, tearing the shirt on the chest.

Bullets with you still have mercy on us.
But, believing three times that life is all,
I was still proud of the sweetest,
For the bitter land where I was born.

For the fact that I was bequeathed to die on it,
That the Russian mother gave birth to us,
That in battle, seeing us off, a Russian woman
In Russian, she hugged me three times. Check out this poignant movie...

In 2008, during the Georgian attack on South Ossetia, Russian soldiers showed many examples of heroism and courage. The Western media carefully hushed up these facts or did not pay attention to them, but one case struck even them. A soldier of the Russian army single-handedly stopped a convoy of Georgian special forces.

The story took place on August 8, 2008 in South Ossetia. Scout of the 71st motorized rifle regiment Bato Dashidorzhiev served at a checkpoint on the way from Gori to Tskhinvali, the capital of the unrecognized republic. The Georgians, who had previously been driven back from the capital, regrouped and were going to try again to capture Tskhinvali. However, on the way they stumbled upon a checkpoint set up by the Russian military who had arrived to help the Ossetians.

Towards the convoy of cars, full of armed Georgians, came out one serviceman - private Bato Dashidorzhiev. They shouted to him to get out of the way, to which Bato, spreading his legs wider for stability, threw up a machine gun and sent them in native Russian in a certain direction.

While the bewildered Georgians were talking among themselves, the situation was photographed by foreign journalists traveling with the convoy, then they themselves tried to persuade the stubborn Buryat to give way. But they could not impress him, so the media representatives were also sent to hell.

As a result, the indecisive Georgians retreated. And although Bato was not completely alone there (it is not visible in the frame, but there was a Ural on the left behind him, behind which lay his commander and another soldier), this does not detract from his courage. While the Georgians were deciding what to do next, two T-72 and T-62 tanks arrived in time to help ours.

The feat of an ordinary was appreciated all over the world. “Russian 300 is not necessary enough for one” (“Russians don’t even need 300, just one is enough”), foreign media wrote. The picture with the hero who stopped the convoy of vehicles spread around almost the whole world.

What was this soldier thinking? What did he feel at that moment? Wasn't he scared? Didn't he want to live a long and happy life, raise children and grandchildren? - foreign bloggers were surprised. Later, the citizens of Mongolia, where the Buryats are considered siblings, turned to the President of Russia with a request to award the soldier with the title of Hero of Russia.

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I sincerely ask you to pay attention to the fact of the heroic deed committed by private Bato Dashidorzhiev in the course of his service in the post entrusted to him. He single-handedly went out to meet a whole column of motorized infantry of the Georgian army, not allowing it to follow further to escalate the conflict. By doing this, he prevented the deaths of hundreds and hundreds of civilians and soldiers on both sides. This feat is undoubtedly worthy of the high title of Hero of Russia. He, the heroic son of Russia, died in that war, protecting the innocent inhabitants of Ossetia. I ask you to award the Hero posthumously, we believe in you.”

Unfortunately, the title of Hero of Russia to Dashidorzhiev, if awarded, is only posthumously. Bato died in South Ossetia a few days later.

Georgia's invasion of South Ossetia is called differently: Ossetians - genocide, Georgians - the restoration of constitutional order, official Russia - forcing Georgia to peace, but for the whole world this conflict is simply called "08.08.08". Our country did not leave the fraternal people in trouble and sent an army to help them.

Our military in this conflict has repeatedly demonstrated heroism and once again reminded everyone that victory depends not only on weapons, but also on fortitude. What is worth only the story of how the Russian peacekeeper Sergei Kononov, during the artillery shelling of the Russian base for three hours alone, with one machine gun, held back the attack of Georgian tanks.

Hero of the war in South Ossetia: the last battle of Private Kononov

This year marks 10 years since the end of the armed conflict in South Ossetia, when Georgian troops, on the orders of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, attacked the unrecognized republic.

The situation in the region has been tense since the late 1980s due to the fact that South Ossetia declared its autonomy from Georgia. All this time, discontent was constantly growing, clashes broke out from time to time. In order to prevent bloodshed, a group of Russian peacekeepers was sent to the Georgian capital Tskhinvali.

The attack began on the night of August 8 with a massive shelling of Tskhinvali, which was carried out from small arms, grenade launchers, mortars and Grad multiple rocket launchers. The fire lasted almost all night and in the morning infantry and armored vehicles of Georgia began to enter the city. The main goal of the offensive was the base of Russian peacekeepers.

Not expecting to meet much resistance, the tank column went on the assault with the support of the infantry. But at the entrance to the part of the movement stalled. On their way was a 21-year-old peacekeeper, Private Sergei Vitalievich Kononov. An artillery raid found him at his post - he was on guard at one of the observation towers located along the perimeter of the military camp. When the first explosions rang out, he quickly descended into the pillbox. The long-term firing point was a narrow concrete "glass", buried in the ground, with loopholes for observation and firing. Here the fighter decided to keep the defense. At that time, shells were exploding on the territory of the unit, 20 servicemen had already died, and the commander of the contingent was wounded, the barracks, the dining room, technical buildings and the first-aid post were on fire. All around were the groans of the wounded and the cries of the commanders, who were trying to organize the soldiers.

The peacekeepers pulled the wounded out from under the rubble and carried them to the boiler room, which stood a little to the side and miraculously avoided hits. Sergei remained at his post. Pressing against the concrete wall, he fixed his eyes on the peephole. The border of Georgia is literally a couple of hundred meters behind the hill. And because of him, slowly, Georgian tanks began to crawl out. First, second, third, fourth ... Behind them, bending down and hiding behind armored vehicles, the Georgian special forces were cowardly. Of the weapons, Kononov had an AKSU - a shortened version of the classic Kalashnikov, with a shorter barrel length. For compactness, I had to pay with accuracy - the aiming range of such an assault rifle is less than that of the “big brother”. At the front sight appeared the silhouette of one of the enemies. Pulling the trigger, the peacekeeper saw the enemy figure folded in half and collapsed to the ground. Sergei shifted his sights to the next one... After an hour of battle, where the Russian soldier remained unshakable, the equipment began to fail: from continuous firing, the machine gun became hot, and powder deposits clogged the barrel and gas pipe. The spread of bullets became larger, the machine wedged and spat (when a bullet, due to a dirty or poor-quality barrel, flies out at a slower speed and almost immediately falls to the ground). Yes, and the ammunition was coming to an end. It would seem that there is no way out, but suddenly the attack bogged down and the equipment began to back away.

Cautious Georgians did not want to look for trouble, thinking that they were opposed by at least a platoon. At this time, someone from the Ossetian militia was able to set fire to one of the tanks. Taking advantage of the unexpected respite, Sergei jumped out of the "glass" to get more ammunition and change weapons. The area was a living hell. Having made his way to the armory, Private Kononov grabbed an AK-74, cartridges and ran back. There was only one goal - to buy time, to delay the offensive while the guys carry their comrades to a safe place. And from behind the hill, in the meantime, the growl of tank engines and the screams of enemies were heard again. For another two hours, the impregnable pillbox continued to snarl with fire. Machine guns and machine guns to no avail fired bursts in the direction of the unit - the “glass” was hardly noticeable and the invaders could not determine the source of fire.

Perhaps the strength of the spirit and Russian weapons could continue to resist the Georgian troops, but where the warrior's sword is powerless, there will always be a place for the traitor's dagger. The stoker who was in charge of the boiler room turned out to be a scout. By mobile phone, he corrected the fire and gave his owners the coordinates of the pillbox. And although the medic of the unit was able to figure out the "mishandled Cossack", noting that he alone had a normal connection (the rest of the mobile phones were jammed by the suppression system provided by the US military to Georgia), it was too late - the information was gone. The tank rolled up the hill and fired a volley at the pillbox. For such calibers, a distance of 200 meters is almost point blank. The concrete structure could not withstand a direct hit by a projectile designed to penetrate meter-long armor. Remaining at the combat post until the end, Sergei Kononov died. At the cost of his life, he saved dozens of his comrades who were able to get out of the shelling.

He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. In this war, Russia did not abandon its citizens, and many of our servicemen demonstrated unparalleled courage.

But 21-year-old Sergei Kononov was one of the first to stand in the way of the invaders and showed what a Russian soldier is worth.

Heroic Russian Buryat soldiers April 14th, 2015

Buryat tanker Dorzhi Batomunkuev, who became famous after an interview with Elena Kostyuchenko, turns out to be "under treatment in a serious condition." Probably at home, in the Aginsky Buryat district of the Trans-Baikal Territory. This was written by the newspaper "New Buryatia". But the material was not published in the paper version of the newspaper. Yes, the post has been removed from the site. Only in the cache did the material survive.

New Buryatia wrote:

At present, journalists' access to Dorji Batomunkuev, who, according to Novaya Buryatia's sources, is in the Mogoytuy Central District Hospital, is difficult. His mother today denies information about his previous contacts with the press. She says that her son did not give an interview to Elena Kostyuchenko. In the interview itself, Sesegma Batomunkuevna finds information that, in her opinion, is clearly not true.

It is written there about his trips, as if he traveled all over Asia (at the age of 20 - S.B.), - says the mother of the tanker. - We have nine children, he is the eldest son... How can he travel somewhere?! That is, even in such trifles ... In general, everything is invented!

However, so far neither the Russian Ministry of Defense, nor representatives of military unit No. 46108, nor relatives of Dorzhi Batomunkuev have applied to the court regarding the allegedly unreliable information allegedly contained in Elena Kostyuchenko's articles. Apparently, not wanting to be at a disadvantage and assuming that a prudent journalist might have an audio or video recording of the interview itself.

At the expense of traveling around the world, Dorji could brag, why not. Maybe these trips are the guy's most cherished dream. And in his mind, dreams and reality could well have mixed up ... And the fact that representatives of the military unit and relatives suggest that Lena Kosyuchenko has “an audio or video recording of the interview itself” - they correctly assume ....

When I read about Dorzhi Batomunkuev, for some reason I remember another Buryat soldier. True, they write about him that he is a Yakut soldier, but for some reason it seems to me that outwardly he is very similar to Dorzhi. So Buryats? This is the same soldier who in August 2008, with a light machine gun, came out against a column of Georgian military.

The officers of the column persuaded the soldier to move out of the way and let them through, to which the answer was: "Go to ...". Journalists who were moving with the column tried to talk to the machine gunner. But got the same answer. As a result, the column turned around and moved back to where it came from.

A Buryat machine-gunner, a burned-out Buryat tanker, optimistically dreaming of traveling all over the world... It turns out that the most heroic Russian soldiers are Buryats?

The Ininsky rock garden is located in the Barguzinskaya valley. Huge stones as if someone deliberately scattered or placed on purpose. And in places where megaliths are placed, something mysterious always happens.

One of the attractions of Buryatia is the Ininsky rock garden in the Barguzin valley. It makes an amazing impression - huge stones scattered in disorder on a completely flat surface. As if someone deliberately either scattered them, or placed them on purpose. And in places where megaliths are placed, something mysterious always happens.

Power of nature

In general, the “rock garden” is the Japanese name for an artificial landscape in which stones, arranged according to strict rules, play a key role. "Karesansui" (dry landscape) has been cultivated in Japan since the 14th century, and it appeared for a reason. It was believed that gods lived in places with a large accumulation of stones, as a result of which the stones themselves began to be given divine significance. Of course, now the Japanese use rock gardens as a place for meditation, where it is convenient to indulge in philosophical reflections.

And philosophy is here. Chaotic, at first glance, the arrangement of stones, in fact, is strictly subject to certain laws. First, the asymmetry and size difference of the stones must be respected. There are certain points of observation in the garden - depending on the time when you are going to contemplate the structure of your microcosm. And the main trick is that from any point of observation there should always be one stone that ... is not visible.

The most famous rock garden in Japan is located in Kyoto, the ancient capital of the samurai country, in the Ryoanji Temple. This is the home of Buddhist monks. And here in Buryatia, a "rock garden" appeared without the efforts of man - its author is Nature itself.

In the southwestern part of the Barguzinskaya Valley, 15 kilometers from the village of Suvo, where the Ina River emerges from the Ikat Range, this place is located with an area of more than 10 square kilometers. Significantly more than any Japanese rock garden - in the same proportion as the Japanese bonsai is smaller than the Buryat cedar. Here, large blocks of stone, reaching 4-5 meters in diameter, protrude from the flat ground, and these boulders go up to 10 meters deep!

The removal of these megaliths from the mountain range reaches 5 kilometers or more. What kind of force could scatter these huge stones at such distances? The fact that this was not done by a person became clear from recent history: a 3-kilometer canal was dug here for irrigation purposes. And in the channel channel here and there lie huge boulders, going to a depth of up to 10 meters. They fought, of course, but to no avail. As a result, all work on the channel was stopped.

Scientists put forward different versions of the origin of the Ininsky rock garden. Many consider these blocks to be moraine boulders, that is, glacial deposits. Scientists call the age different (E. I. Muravsky believes that they are 40-50 thousand years old, and V. V. Lamakin - more than 100 thousand years!), Depending on which glaciation to count.

According to geologists, in ancient times the Barguzin basin was a shallow freshwater lake, which was separated from Baikal by a narrow and low mountain bridge connecting the Barguzin and Ikat ridges. As the water level rose, a runoff formed, which turned into a river bed, which cut deeper and deeper into solid crystalline rocks. It is known how torrential streams of water in spring or after heavy rain wash away steep slopes, leaving deep furrows of gullies and ravines. Over time, the water level dropped, and the area of the lake, due to the abundance of suspended material brought into it by rivers, decreased. As a result, the lake disappeared, and in its place there was a wide valley with boulders, which were later attributed to natural monuments.

But recently, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences G.F. Ufimtsev proposed a very original idea that had nothing to do with glaciations. In his opinion, the Ininsky rock garden was formed as a result of a relatively recent, catastrophic, gigantic ejection of large-block material.

According to his observations, glacial activity on the Ikat Range manifested itself only in a small area in the upper reaches of the Turokcha and Bogunda rivers, while in the middle part of these rivers there are no traces of glaciation. Thus, according to the scientist, there was a breakthrough of the dam of the dammed lake in the course of the Ina River and its tributaries. As a result of a breakthrough from the upper reaches of the Ina, a mudflow or ground avalanche threw a large amount of blocky material into the Barguzin valley. This version is supported by the fact of severe destruction of the bedrock sides of the Ina River valley at the confluence with the Turokcha, which may indicate the demolition of a large volume of rocks by mudflows.

In the same section of the Ina River, Ufimtsev noted two large “amphitheatres” (resembling a huge funnel) measuring 2.0 by 1.3 kilometers and 1.2 by 0.8 kilometers, which could probably be the bed of large dammed lakes. The breakthrough of the dam and the release of water, according to Ufimtsev, could have occurred as a result of manifestations of seismic processes, since both slope "amphitheaters" are confined to the zone of a young fault with thermal water outlets.

Here the gods were naughty

An amazing place has long been interested in local residents. And for the "rock garden" people came up with a legend rooted in hoary antiquity. The start is simple. Somehow, two rivers, Ina and Barguzin, argued, which of them would be the first (first) to reach Baikal. Barguzin cheated and set off on the road that same evening, and in the morning the angry Ina rushed after her, in anger throwing huge boulders out of her way. So they still lie on both banks of the river. Isn't it just a poetic description of a powerful mudflow proposed for explanation by Dr. Ufimtsev?

The stones still keep the secret of their formation. They are not only different sizes and colors, they are generally from different breeds. That is, they were not broken out from one place. And the depth of occurrence speaks of many thousands of years, during which meters of soil have grown around the boulders.

For those who have seen the Avatar movie, on a foggy morning, Ina's stones will remind you of hanging mountains around which winged dragons fly. The peaks of the mountains jut out of the clouds of mist like individual fortresses or the heads of giants in helmets. The impressions from contemplating the garden of stones are amazing, and it was not by chance that people endowed the stones with magical powers: it is believed that if you touch the boulders with your hands, they will take away negative energy, instead bestowing positive energy.

In these amazing places there is another place where the gods were naughty. This place was nicknamed "Suva Saxon Castle". This natural formation is located near the group of salty Alga lakes near the village of Suvo, on the steppe slopes of a hill at the foot of the Ikat Range. The picturesque rocks are very reminiscent of the ruins of an ancient castle. These places served as a particularly revered and sacred place for Evenki shamans. In the Evenki language, "suvoya" or "suvo" means "whirlwind".

It was believed that it was here that spirits lived - the owners of local winds. The main and most famous of which was the legendary wind of Baikal "Barguzin". According to legend, an evil ruler lived in these places. He was distinguished by a ferocious disposition, he took pleasure in bringing misfortune to the poor and indigent people.

He had an only and beloved son, who was bewitched by spirits as punishment for a cruel father. After realizing his cruel and unfair attitude towards people, the ruler fell to his knees, began to beg and tearfully ask to restore his son's health and make him happy. And he distributed all his wealth to people.

And the spirits freed the son of the ruler from the power of the disease! It is believed that for this reason the rocks are divided into several parts. There is a belief among the Buryats that the owners of Suvo, Tumurzhi-Noyon and his wife, Tutuzhig-Khatan, live in the rocks. Burkhans were erected in honor of the Suva rulers. On special days, whole rituals are performed in these places.
