Publishing house "nigma"

Momentary trends, fashion brands, outrageous trends - life rushes forward at such a speed that it is not always possible to take a breath and take a breath of fresh air. And yet, each person has his own beacon, which helps to keep the right course, no matter what. In the literary world, the works of Russian classics can be considered such beacons. I would like to believe that people who read books in childhood Pushkin, Lermontov, Turgenev, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostoevsky will always speak the same language.

2014 can be called an anniversary year for Russian classical literature. This year in June we will celebrate 215th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, and in October 200 years since the birth of Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov. It is this year that the Nigma publishing house is launching a new series, which will include illustrated books by the classics of Russian literature.

Today we would like to announce the first books in the series. Coming out at the end of summer The Captain's Daughter by Pushkin. In October, for the anniversary Lermontov, will come out "Hero of our time". The book will be published in late autumn. Chekhov's stories, which will include stories for children: "Kashtanka", "Boys", "Roly" and "White-fronted".

All three books will be published in hard covers and illustrated with works by a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of Russia, Anatoly Zinovievich Itkin.

Domestic classics occupy a special place in the life of the master. For fifty years he has been illustrating the work of Pushkin, Tolstoy, Nekrasov, Goncharov, Blok and other great writers and poets. Separately, I would like to note that the illustrations for the book "Hero of our time" will be published for the first time. The artist worked on this book for thirty years. He personally visited those places that appear in the work of Lermontov, made many sketches from nature and captured the beauty of the North Caucasus.

We bring to your attention several illustrations from future books.
