What is the weakness of man. The writing

The essay was written by a student of a secondary school. There may be errors.

Text by Boris Mikhailovich Bim-Bada:

(1) Only weak people, constantly in need of compensation for their
insufficiency, usually weave intrigues, intrigue, stealthily strike.
(2) Great power is always generous.
(3) I knew a super-strong man who, in his entire long heroic life, did not touch anyone with his finger, not wishing harm to anyone. (4) Mental strength and nobility go hand in hand, and this explains why in our time nobility has become again in demand, appreciated and so widely practiced that sometimes it turns into almost a mass profession.
(5) In the Salvation Army, smart risk-taking and true nobility are inseparable.
(6) The craft of salvation naturally filters people according to their spiritual qualities. (7) As a result, only strong people who are able to protect the weak who are in trouble are detained for a long time in the rescuers. (8) So, for those who want to get a job in the Centrospas detachment, it is not enough to have an impeccable military or sports past behind them and possess the necessary set of specialties.
(9) The "good" of the medical board is not yet a guarantee of success. (10) Nearly a thousand correctly selected psychological test answers also do not guarantee a candidate a place on the staff of an elite unit. (I) The newcomer needs to prove to future colleagues during the internship that he can be relied upon in any situation, that he shows kindness and tolerance, which are necessary in their daily missions.
(12) To cope with his duties, a person must have a noble soul, full of the best qualities. (13) But why, even with virtuous qualities, does a person commit immoral acts? (14) Confucius answered a similar question: “All people are close to each other by nature, but they diverge from each other in the course of education. (15) A person may lose noble qualities under the influence of bad communication. (16) Therefore, in order for all members of society to fulfill their civic duties and human
norms, it is necessary to educate a person in the spirit of virtue.
(17) The education of culture, getting rid of bad manners and inclinations is aimed against arrogance, arrogance, self-will, anger, envy, feelings of inferiority, indiscipline, excessive suspicion, treachery, hypocrisy, duplicity, deceit, meanness and self-interest. (18) Only getting rid of bad manners and inclinations, purifying his own soul, expelling
everything bad out of it, you can count on rapid progress and the achievement of perfection in skill. (19) None of the people who are narrow-minded, greedy, cruel, cunning and secretive, due to spiritual inferiority, have ever managed to achieve any significant success, and if they succeeded, then their triumph did not last long. (20) In the end, everything ended in tears, both for
themselves and for those around them.
(21) Will a noble person die surrounded by competition and anger? (22) No! (23) It is he who will win. (24) Since nobility is based on fortitude. (25) To win in life, to win beautifully and lastingly, firmly, thoroughly, you must have a high soul. (26) Good character. (27) The most reliable thing in our world is the nobility of the spirit. (28) Not by birth, not by blood, but by mind and honor.

Text essay:

B oris Mikhailovich Bim-Bad - teacher, member of the Russian Academy of Education, as well as a doctor of pedagogical sciences and a professor. He talks about the problem of human strength and weakness.
BUT The author writes that nobility goes along with spiritual strength, so it has become in demand in the modern world. A grateful person will never perish surrounded by competition and malice. He says that he knew a strong man who never offended anyone, did not wish harm to anyone.
B Oris Mikhailovich believes that human weakness is manifested in the desire for destruction, that is, in aggression, and strength in nobility and generosity.
I I cannot but agree with the author and I believe that this problem is relevant in our time. People cease to understand the concept of nobility. Someone is able to offend the lesser, to show his strength, and someone really wants to do a good noble deed, but he doesn’t succeed and everything turns out the other way around, since he doesn’t go from the heart and understanding of reality, but for the sake of obtaining status noble person.
O we turn to the work of N. S. Leskov “The Enchanted Wanderer”. The protagonist, Ivan Flyagin, takes on the name of a young peasant and joins the army for him, freeing him from a difficult soldier's service.
I I have seen more than once how people humiliate their own kind in order to look stronger, but we understand that in reality they are very weak. Those who perform the right, kind and noble deeds are rightfully considered strong.
AT In conclusion, I want to say that you should not do noble deeds, so that everyone knows that you are noble, they should be done sincerely, and not for your own glory.

Only weak people, constantly in need of compensation for their insufficiency, usually weave intrigues, intrigues, and stealthily strike. Great power is always generous.

The writing

The personality of a person is multifaceted, and, of course, it is difficult and strange to limit people to two categories, but sometimes such a restriction justifies itself and introduces the motive of some kind of confrontation. In this text, B.M. Bim-Bad invites us to think about the question: "What is the strength and weakness of a person?".

Turning to the topic, the author brings us to the idea of what qualities a strong person has, and what qualities a weak one has - and cites as an example a “superstrong man”, a person who is strong not only physically, but also morally and spiritually. He never did harm to anyone in his entire life, although he had the opportunity to do so. This "hero" impresses B.M. Bim-Badu, because it is such individuals who are able to selflessly do good and help people, use their power with honor and dignity. And in contrast to it, the author cites a collective image of a person against whom education and culture as such are aimed. Weak people, due to their "narrowness", greed, cruelty, "mental inferiority" will never think of doing noble deeds - and it is precisely on nobility that strength of mind is based, and vice versa. The author emphasizes that this is precisely why weak people rarely succeed - to create something, other moral guidelines are needed, it is easier for strong people to stay afloat - they are helped in this by "nobility of spirit" - "by mind and honor".

B.M. Bim-Bad believes that human weakness is manifested in aggression, in the desire for destruction, and strength - in generosity and nobility.

I fully agree with the author's opinion and also believe that it is much more difficult to create something good, to help people, to maintain honor and dignity under any circumstances - this, no doubt, is the privilege of strong personalities. Everything else, aimed at destruction and negativity, is a sign of spiritually inferior, weak people.

Roman F.M. Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" clearly and accurately shows how strength and weakness are reflected on a person's condition. Sonya Marmeladova is truly strong - she was ready to sacrifice the last for the sake of her family, go on the "yellow ticket" - and even after that the girl retained the nobility of spirit. The heroine was able to sacrifice herself for the sake of others and instill strength, faith and hope in people - it was she who saved Rodion Raskolnikov from complete spiritual death and led him to enlightenment. In contrast to the girl, Svidrigailov is presented: he mocks morality, proudly admits his sins and, in general, is a low, vile, selfish and cynical person. This hero is really weak: he is not capable of virtue and even rejects it, in the interests of Svidrigailov there is only constant idleness and complacency.

The problem of human strength and weakness is also presented in M. Gorky's story "Old Woman Izergil". Danko is a strong and courageous altruist, whose goal and purpose is selfless, sincere help to people. He killed himself by ripping out his flaming heart from his chest in order to light the way for other people through the entire forest. Unfortunately, the crowd of people themselves, for the most part, consisted of weak, insignificant personalities. They, in view of their cowardice and spiritual poverty, were not capable of banal gratitude - at first these people accused Danko of not being able to get them out of the forest, and later, having got out with his help to freedom, they trampled the heart of the hero, frightened of him power and nobility.

Thus, we can conclude that the strength of a person is manifested in the wealth of his soul, and weakness - in his moral poverty. Of course, it is important to strive all your life to be a strong personality - otherwise life turns into an insignificant existence.

Today I want to talk about this secret in people's behavior, as strength and weakness of the nervous system. It would seem, why do we need to know?

We need to know this in order to to predict people's behavior to know what is our strength and our weakness.

Sometimes people say that they know themselves well, and then they are surprised at their behavior or remember the past situation and think that they should have done this, said this...

And what prevented you from doing it right away, as you think now? Yes, that's just ignorance of yourself. As the saying goes, live and learn.

What is the strength of the nervous system? In pressure and maintenance of activity, in restraining undesirable moments in one's behavior, to put it more scientifically, the force of inhibition must balance the force of excitation.

In order for the nervous system to withstand prolonged excitation, the energy of the cells must be spent economically and rationally. Inhibition coordinates the activity of the nervous system.

Of course, in a long-term stressful situation, as a rule, people with a strong nervous system can withstand it, since they are able to endure superstrong stimuli.

A weak nervous system can burn out because it cannot withstand the strain or fight back when super-strong pressure is applied to it.

If we analyze history, we can assume that our ancestors were predominantly with a strong nervous system. Since they endured super-heavy loads, these were wars, famine, death of children, pressure from masters, etc., etc.

And it has always been believed that they have great strength, both physical and spiritual, let us recall at least such an expression: "our man will endure everything."

But they were controlled by people with a weak nervous system. As a rule, the "weak nervous system" prevailed among the nobles and the intelligentsia. They were sensitive, irritable, quick-tempered. Of course, among them there were many people with a strong nervous system. But this combination of people with a strong nervous system and a weak one gives growth and development to society.

Of course, modern man wants to be just as strong, but the development of technology, medicine, and the socio-economic situation as a whole has changed the direction of “natural selection”, so to speak.

Every year, with every generation, the flow of people with a weak nervous system increases.

But a weak nervous system has its undeniable advantage. A weak nervous system is not able to tolerate superstrong stimuli.

Either it immediately turns off, or the person begins to carry, that is, inhibition cannot always cope with excitation.

A weak nervous system is highly sensitive, capable of distinguishing superstrong signals. This is its advantage over the strong. For example, a businessman with a strong nervous system prepares a platform for business better and with higher quality.

A businessman with a weak nervous system cannot move calmly, he will always create anxious and stressful situations, but he will always get out of them with dignity and with little or no damage. A person with a weak nervous system has well-developed intuition, and he does a lot intuitively, often contrary to the visible laws of logic, and wins.

A businessman with a strong nervous system will always create a disaster situation, he will practically fly in the opposite lane, and even sweep away everything in his path.

The increase in the birth rate of representatives of a weak nervous system in recent times is not an accidental phenomenon. In such people, conditioned reflexes are formed faster. They are easier to learn, more likely to grasp. A weak nervous system learns the educational material logically designed, connected by a common idea, better. They are more capable of growth and development.

These qualities balance the capabilities of both nervous systems. Therefore, when we invite partners to business or communicate with partners, we must know what to expect from another person, know his advantages in order to rely on them.

A strong nervous system, on the other hand, has the advantage of storing large amounts of information that are of little use for semantic processing.

In a person with a weak nervous system, the speed of processing options for solving problems is much higher, he quickly adapts, acclimatizes, adjusts.

The tendency to continue education is also more people with a weak nervous system.

When learning, which is important in a dynamically developing business, a person with a weak nervous system is included in the training immediately. With prolonged stress, it starts to make mistakes. Therefore, he needs to constantly change the type of activity after a certain time.

A person with a strong nervous system is not included in the work as quickly as one would like. But, having started to work, he is able not to be distracted for a long time, to be hardy and efficient.

A person with a strong nervous system needs to be given tasks - from simple to complex. With a weak one, on the contrary, from complex to simple.

A weak nervous system begins to work quickly and just as quickly undermines its energy resources and therefore continues to work costly.

If a person with a weak nervous system is intimidated by the complexity and scope of the work ahead, then she can work out her resource psychologically or morally long before the start of the real business.

Therefore, it is not necessary for a person with a weak nervous system to say that we have a long, hard, difficult work ahead of us, this is hard work, etc., etc.

He just needs to be given dosed tasks, and so gradually lead him step by step. He then himself, realizing, will understand what! he has come a long way, and how much is to come! But here character and certain personal qualities are already brought up, plus a result that will not allow a person to abandon the work he has begun.

A strong nervous system generally does not work at full strength. In order for a strong nervous system to turn on, it is necessary to create situations of increased motivation (set deadlines, give the last week, month, public comparison or form of censure, hit the table with your fist, scare with the last chance, or refusal to mentor, compare with others who are more successful, etc.). d.

A weak nervous system, on the other hand, does not tolerate public forms of censure, it is hard to experience a negative assessment of oneself or the fact that it is not noticed at all, cannot continue work, falls out of a rut, accumulates resentment, anger, does nothing, supports work, etc.

A strong system organized in time by negative reinforcement can show simply wonderful results by the time of control.

People with a strong nervous system do not really like to take leadership positions, to be bosses, managers, mentors. They are usually subordinate and led. But if it still comes out on top, then the most important quality of such a person is brutal stubbornness. It is difficult to find a common language with them, they do not feel others and do not see them. And they often fail. And even if they learn to be more attentive to people, it is very difficult for them.

People with a weak nervous system have a natural tendency to lead and manage.

Since they are less patient and want to change something, especially what does not suit them, they have well-developed qualities such as sympathy and empathy.

Organizational skills are entirely built on a weak nervous system, but to achieve success, you need to learn to consciously and creatively use your energy at a higher level.

Due to the lack of self-control, lack of understanding of their true nature, many successful leaders struggle with themselves, obsessed with “personal growth”, which has no end or end, and stumble over their own shortcomings.

Not knowing that it is necessary to rely on merit.

And you just need to show self-respect, self-awareness and self-control to your nervous system - only this unity gives a person a strength that nature did not give.

Of course, the strength of the nervous system is an innate indicator. But we must know our own characteristics in order to cultivate character traits in ourselves that help us live in harmony with ourselves.

That is, a weak nervous system can bring up sufficiently strong character traits, and know its strengths and weaknesses. Know and combine the modes of switching, work, rest, etc.

Learning to feel and understand others is also the strength of a person.

Therefore, it is very important to be able to determine not only your type of nervous system, but also the type of nervous system of another person. This will allow us to see many options for behavior, to predict actions and intentions.

Sometimes a few episodes are enough to know for sure who you are dealing with.

Therefore, by collecting bit by bit the secrets of people's behavior, we will know who we are dealing with and how to build constructive interaction or cooperation with him.

6. Weakness of human character

“One of the meanings of the word “character” has an ethical meaning and refers to people who, due to their will and a certain way of thinking, have two most important qualities: absolute responsibility and consistency in their actions. This makes their behavior orderly. Loyalty to oneself, firmness and unwavering determination are the main characteristics, that is, ethical values that we consider important in the formation and education of character.

Philip Lersh

A well-formed character includes such qualities as will, responsibility and acceptable behavior. To be realistic, it must be admitted that only a few people meet these requirements, because weakness of character has become a common disease today. This problem primarily affects young people who are just starting to look for their "I".

Dependence on adults, insecurities inherent in their age, lack of self-discipline, doubts about the nature of good and evil, a tendency to fantasize, too free or too strict upbringing, psychological complexes, overprotectiveness, misconceptions about the role of men and women, poor social adaptation, spirit contradictions are but a few of the reasons that hinder the right development of character.

Of particular concern is the use of drugs, because it not only weakens the character and will, but also pushes young people to immoral acts and crimes.

As for adults, their weak character is due to incorrect behavior that has become a habit. They prefer idleness and easy money to hard work, they are characterized by a lack of physical activity, fear of new difficult tasks, shyness, fear of defending their rights, a habit of overprotectiveness from childhood, vague ideas about the role of a man and a woman, and drug use.

Television, which in its essence is the entrance door to the unconscious of people, colonizes their minds and instills false values such as materialism, hedonism and permissiveness. In addition, the whole structure of advertising and marketing is based on the deceptive availability of the goods and services offered, which unconsciously leads people to imagine life as a fantasy world where everything can be obtained without much effort.

The dissolution of personality in the crowd creates the illusion that a person is sailing through life on a huge ship, sent somewhere by an unknown captain, and the passenger cannot influence the choice of destination. In addition, in urban life there are few opportunities for heroic deeds that allow tempering character if the person himself does not strive for this.

Only those who set themselves high goals and have self-control can develop a strong character. Self-indulgence is one of the qualities that weakens and destroys the character and will. This is what happens with alcoholics and drug addicts: they usually make a lot of demands on others and demand from them what they do not want to demand from themselves. It is a mixture of inertia, self-pity and aversion to constant work, a kind of permissiveness, the opposite of duty, moral rules and good habits.

Dislike for any effort pushes people to look for easy ways, while they forget that the value of what is acquired is proportional to the difficulty of obtaining it. A vicious person does not need willpower to live the way he lives, while correct moral behavior requires constant vigilance, tempered character, will.

Ethical behavior does not arise by itself, we must achieve it through work and discipline. Vice, on the contrary, appears and grows like a weed that needs no care.

Causes that weaken character and will:

a) obsessive desire for pleasure

Hedonism, that is, the worship of pleasure as a deity, is probably the most characteristic feature of modern man. Persistent pursuit of sensual pleasure is paramount, no matter what the cost. The madness of people has already gone so far that they perceive the world as a supermarket offering entertainment and pleasure, and are sure that they were born for the sake of endless pleasures, and not for the sake of moral and spiritual perfection.

Life is perceived as a circus, it is considered meaningless without numerous entertainments. We seem to be marked with the seal of Thanatos (death) and desperately strive to return to the mother's womb in order to plunge again into the boundless nirvana of uterine existence. It is there that the fetus feels uninterrupted pleasure, undisturbed by any demands. He does not need to make an effort to eat, he is not disturbed by noise, nothing disturbs him, he is enveloped in boundless love, and the whole world belongs to him alone. (this world is his mother).

In other words, he is the world because he is one with his mother. He does not feel alone because he has no sense of individuality as a being separated from the rest of the material world. This feeling will come to him only a few months after birth, and he will never experience the same boundless happiness.

Hedonism is an irrational attempt by a person to somehow regain uterine nirvana. The pleasure he got from unity with mother now sought out in the outside world, in its limitless entertainment offered by advertising. Obviously, such a search is inevitably doomed to failure, since a person is looking for something that does not exist in the material world, but only in the unconscious. So the pleasures he can find will never satisfy him because they are always temporary. It can be compared to eating food. When is the feeling of hunger finally satisfied? Experience shows that never, because as soon as the food is digested, the empty stomach again demands to be filled.

However, there is an important difference between satiety and sense gratification. Food nourishes the body and is indispensable for its maintenance, it can "accumulate" due to the fact that nutrients become part of the cells. Thus, food intake satisfies the needs of the body. Pleasure, on the contrary, can never satisfy sensual hunger, so it must be constantly repeated in order to drown out emptiness and anxiety. Besides the pleasure cannot accumulate it cannot be stored for the future; therefore, giving nothing to a person, it only devastates his. It is sad to see how narcissism leads to heart and soul emptiness, mental and emotional coldness. Narcissistic pleasure is like a "bottomless barrel" that, no matter how much you pour into it, you can never fill.

In a broader sense, material greed is the most common form of animal pleasure that is directly related to sex, food, and the use of stimulant drugs.

Marketing exploits these appetites by offering people artificial paradises, comforts, luxuries, travel and adventure. The onslaught of advertising is so strong that people begin to expect continuous enjoyment from life, and when they discover that this is not really the case, they fall into a deep depression, arguing that life has lost its meaning for them. Naturally, when those who see the purpose of life in pleasure inevitably come to the point of collapse of happiness, they lose the desire to live. The loss of the meaning of life is nothing more than the feeling that someone deceived you when the promised promised land in reality turned out to be not paradise at all. People expect continuous happiness, identifying it with pleasures, and when they do not achieve it, they feel disappointment and disgust.

Material pleasures devastate people, dry up their souls, making them sterile, and such is the inevitable fate of everyone who is in the world army of consumers.

Often we can see how people with low incomes become depressed, jealous, offended, and they unconsciously have a feeling - "something was taken from me." According to their understanding, of course, the rich did it. An envious person cannot live his life, his existence revolves around those who arouse envy in him, emotionally he is firmly “hooked” and cannot give up envy, spending all the energy of his libido on it. He was on the opposite pole of love. The positive pole gives rise to love, and the negative pole gives rise to anger.

Advertising causes consumerism, the number of goods and services is growing endlessly, reinforcing our desire to possess them. This obsession imperceptibly leads to moral permissiveness, to the loss of honor and dignity. For example, a person who smokes marijuana for the first time may experience remorse, but when he overcomes this barrier, he will soon cross other moral barriers and try stronger drugs, such as cocaine. A woman can imperceptibly cross the moral framework that has hitherto been holding her back, become accessible and indiscriminate in assessing the moral qualities of the men with whom she enters into a relationship. Men who have started to use marijuana and cocaine can also easily turn to homosexuality, calling it "variety in sex."

Promiscuity means permissiveness, it leads to the fact that a person begins to treat people as useful or pleasant things and nothing more. A person who allows himself everything gradually weakens, since he does not exercise the will and does not temper the character necessary to fight temptations. The one who yields to them is simply a fool, of whom the English moralist David Hume said: "The scoundrel is the greatest fool, since for the sake of insignificant material pleasures he sacrifices the highest pleasure of becoming a fully developed person."

A person who allows himself everything and is prone to consumerism sacrifices the possibility of spiritual development leading to the highest good and true happiness.

Unconditional compliance weakens and atrophies the muscle of the will, which, as is well known, cannot develop by itself in mediocre individuals.

A person of high morals is like a strong-willed athlete or a disciplined Spartan who is able to sacrifice fleeting pleasure or temporarily refuse it in order to later achieve a higher virtue, which, properly managed, leads to happiness.

b) Overprotectiveness

Overprotectiveness makes children weak and timid, and when they grow up, they are unable to show minimal activity to make their way in life and make others respect them. As adults, they seek protection from the state, seeing it as a replacement for their parents. Their personality remains underdeveloped, and sometimes they even turn into emotional invalids who find it very difficult to adapt to life.

Excessive guardianship of parents or relatives does not leave them enough personal space for normal development. Surely one of the relatives constantly solved all their problems in childhood, not giving them the opportunity to make decisions on their own. When a child who is overprotected by his parents goes to school, he has big problems with peers and teachers, because of which he may even become an underachieving student.

However, it is not easy to determine when guardianship becomes redundant. In some Latin American countries, children are cared for more than, for example, in the United States, especially for girls. It is important to understand that the guardianship mechanism hinders the harmonious development of character and will, teaches people to achieve what they want by manipulating the emotions of others, and not at the expense of their own personal efforts and merits.

Often such people feel like victims, feel sorry and treat themselves condescendingly. Thus, they avoid hard work and do not develop the habit of struggling to achieve what they want. That is why they have neither the energy for moral struggle, nor the strength to resist temptations and sacrifice momentary pleasure for the sake of achieving important goals. Lack of will makes them amorphous and indecisive in choosing ethical values, since they do not have deep convictions and firmness to defend them. They avoid lofty goals out of fear of them.

Weakness of character leads to permissiveness, as people have neither the discipline nor the will necessary to adhere to firm rules and principles. A person who allows himself everything is increasingly immersed in pleasure, entertainment and consumerism, which takes him further and further away from the formation of positive moral skills.

The enjoyment of delicious food, the love of sweets, the consumption of alcohol are all forms of self-indulgence that can become a bad habit and lead, for example, to obesity or low self-esteem.

Self-indulgence, or, in other words, self-justification, leads to a very low level of self-demanding, which leads to moral degradation.

c) Idleness and effeminacy

Inactivity and the desire to live comfortably are serious obstacles to the normal development of character. From idleness, stupid things come to mind, and if a person is not busy with anything serious, he begins to have fun so as not to get bored and not to fall into depression, he sleeps a lot, gets up late, has no family responsibilities and does not set himself big goals, so he has there is no opportunity for character formation.

A very easy and pampered life leads to weak will. However, hard work that has not received due recognition can also lead to this. If a person does not have incentives and opportunities or he does not see them, then this leads to apathy and loss of interest. The mediocrity of the surrounding world can also cause a person to lose the initiative for creativity and personal aspirations. Life's difficulties contribute to the tempering of character, and when they are absent or a person avoids them, his will weakens.

Let's not forget that ethical behavior is possible only thanks to a strong will and determination, the ability to resist vice and temptation. Strong will is rare and not the norm. A person who believes that he has not achieved success in life is prone to despondency and depression, and these feelings exhaust him and push him to a destructive rebellion against everything in the world.

Life in big cities is associated with convenience and comfort. People do not walk to work, they rarely have to make hard physical efforts. They are surrounded by cars: buses, metro, cars, elevators, household appliances, ATMs, fax, computer, telephone. The vast world of material things makes everyday life easier for people, not to mention luxury and various excesses.

Everything points to the fact that our life is becoming easier, it is more and more filled with idleness and comfort, and requires less and less effort from us. The dependence of man on machines is increasing more and more, and if he does not grow internally, then the 21st century may become an era when the tyranny of the crowd will be replaced by the tyranny of machines.

Science and technology are constantly developing, but man remains at the same stage of spiritual evolution. He has not become more human than he was two or three thousand years ago. With the acceleration of progress, a person becomes smaller; everyone applauds new technical achievements, while the moral values of people remain in the past.

The cult of luxury, pleasure and comfort quickly destroys the spiritual world of man, as a result of which materialism and violence grow. Careerism and consumerism completely capture his soul, that is, they do what has always been considered the work and task of the devil. Oddly enough, but in society there is an opinion that the level of our civilization is growing rapidly, everything is going well and there is no reason to worry. The belief that man is the crown of creation, as well as the general consumer frenzy, make us hush up some facts and not ask too many questions.

For example, do not ask why spiritual progress does not keep pace with the material, but, on the contrary, it declines in the sense that the outer side of life is valued more than the inner. Sometimes it seems that these two sides are inversely proportional and the strengthening of one inevitably leads to the weakening of the other.

d) Gender uncertainty

Until recently, a man and a woman were at well-defined opposite sexual poles, and now men want to give birth to children.

Many films show men dressed as women, and in commercials I have even seen a pregnant man. Trousers have ceased to be an exclusively male attribute, and long hair, earrings, beads and bracelets - female. Men put on makeup, visit beauty salons, and women box and smoke cigars. Sexual ambiguity flooded TV ads. Video clips are filled with strange asexual creatures, and the viewer at his discretion refers them to women or men.

Many modern pop stars put on women's clothes and become a role model for young people who have not yet found themselves. On the other hand, women, feeling neglected by men, try to compete with them on an equal footing, wanting to demonstrate their superiority in order to make themselves respected, and therefore imitate male manners.

Many people like "unisex" clothing that makes men and women look alike. She feels less discriminated against, and he overcomes his unconscious fear of castration.

However, this uncertainty in gender is not only in appearance, it is based on subliminal information that penetrates the brains of people from their cultural environment and imposes a certain style of behavior.

Usually sexual uncertainty is more characteristic of people who have a weak "I" and have little idea of who they are and what they want. Unisex clothing and demeanor give them a greater sense of confidence.

A man with long hair becomes the center of attention and feels more certain of himself, more clearly and clearly feels who he is. (that is, feels more part of society).

The search for one's "I" can take too much time, and a person will not solve this problem throughout his life. Constant internal uncertainty disturbs the normal development of a person, and he ceases to be interested in anything other than this psychological conflict.

It is hard to imagine that such a dual and indefinite person can strengthen character and will, since all his time is absorbed in solving the exciting problem of creating his image. Its goal is to arouse admiration in the eyes of people and thereby feel more significant. If he succeeds, then every day he will be more and more oriented to the outside world and, most likely, will not analyze himself, his character and behavior. Due to superficial perception, a person cannot see and appreciate the deep and important aspects of life.

Unfortunately, outward orientation is fruitless, and those who try to increase their own importance in this way will pay for it with a feeling of unbearable inner emptiness.

e) sedentary lifestyle

People who lead a sedentary lifestyle are weaker and more prone to pessimism, sadness and melancholy, and therefore have a negative approach to life. Athletes, on the contrary, are usually optimistic and balanced, have good physical and mental health. After a ten-kilometer run, a person is unlikely to have a desire to commit a crime or an immoral act, offend someone, or become depressed.

The Eskimos, who live by hunting and fishing, walk long distances every day, they have to constantly exert physical effort. As a result, they have the lowest blood cholesterol levels, despite the fact that their diet consists almost entirely of animal fat. They almost never commit crimes. Apparently, intense physical activity cleanses people of passions and base impulses.

For the same reason, in ancient Sparta, young men were forced to perform hard physical exercises in order to temper their character and will, and only if they withstood these tests did they receive full civil rights by the age of thirty.

Joy and optimism usually accompany those who keep their bodies in good physical shape. Most likely, with physical effort, anger and tension go away with sweat. The sedentary person is indulgent with himself, for he renounces any prolonged or intense effort and does not try to strengthen his will. This lifestyle weakens people, as can be seen in those who sleep too much or are forced to stay in bed for a long time.

Weak-willed people, disgusted by any effort, are seized with base passions, they do not understand that without difficulties there is neither development nor self-realization. A modest and active life is a good basis for the development of morality.

f) The inability of a person to value himself

As Max Scheler wrote, true morality is impossible if a person does not value himself, because in this case he begins to depend on the opinions of others. Most people value themselves as much as others value them, and therefore they try to inflate their image, arouse admiration and respect - only this brings them satisfaction. This is the reason for the desperate search for power and social recognition.

People live according to the expression “the more you have, the more you matter”, so everyone strives to have luxury cars, jewelry, furs. The more a person inflates his image, the weaker his true self becomes, the more difficult it is for him to make serious efforts and the less capable he is of achieving higher values. Such a person transfers the center of his psychological life to others, but he does this not out of generosity or kindness, but out of great selfishness. He lives through others because he uses them as a mirror for his image and as a means to feed his ego.

People who are not capable of self-esteem are usually devoid of morality. For example, the offended and the unsuccessful are so caught up in their passions that there is no room in their lives for striving for something sublime. Neither in their minds nor in their hearts can they assume the existence of higher forms of perfect, noble behavior. Their suffering is caused by the fact that they constantly feel some kind of injustice. They do not realize that morality is the highest form of justice.

In the saying “Give, and it will be given to you”, the hidden mechanism of the action of Nature, the universal energy, which always returns to a person what it receives from him, is expressed in a simple form. It's funny to see people trying to raise their self esteem (raise your price) getting the approval of others and projecting his "I" outward, onto the crowd. So they devalue their essence, which simply disappears if, for the sake of others, it has to put on various false masks. In addition, the opinion of the crowd depends on fashion, and when fashion passes, what was previously welcomed is rejected, and a person is forced to constantly look for new forms of social approval.

The search and assertion of one's "I" at the expense of the approval of other people is the fastest way to merge with the crowd, losing individuality and essence. The renunciation of their individuality is sought by those who hesitate to make an effort to live on higher level.

The approval of others increases a person's self-esteem, but this always comes at the expense of his essence, the value of which will decrease every day. You need to realize how crazy it is to seek someone else's approval about anything, because some will agree with you, and others will not: it is impossible to please everyone.

Self-esteem should be raised in a healthy and reasonable way, based on moral values and transcendental spiritual rules that are, have been and will always be in the memory of Nature and, therefore, in our spirit, which is an emanation of God.

We must please God, not the crowd, and understand that by following the path indicated by the Creator, we will achieve full human realization. It does not matter whether a person believes in God or not, because skepticism cannot annul God and his laws. Often, skeptics and atheists don't value or believe in themselves - this is how they try to gain an "I" or just to get attention in order to increase their self-esteem.

Materialism is a way of thinking of people who have never experienced a special state of consciousness in which a person really feels the value of his essence (you can call it mystical experience) when he is sure of the existence of God, because he finds his reflection in his own soul.

Materialism is a manifestation of a low level of consciousness, limited by knowledge of the body and physical matter, which failed to rise to the world of the spirit. Materialists are convinced that only matter exists. They rule out that there could be anything else, while the goal of the evolution of consciousness is to achieve complete knowledge.

True morality is not just the rules of behavior adopted in some group, which may differ from the rules of behavior of other social groups.

True morality is respect for the cosmic order established by the Logos, the divine emanation that maintains the order and structure of the universe. Since nothing exists outside the Logos, we are also part of it and therefore must respect its code, which is the same for all forms of life, both animate and inanimate.

This is about cosmic law one of the most important postulates of which was beautifully expressed by the Greek philosophers in the concept equivalent equality, meaning the constant striving of the intelligent universe to the point of balance.

We are accustomed to consider ourselves beings separated from the Universe, a kind of inhabitants of a space island. But, as the holographic concept of Dr. Karl Pribram says: "The part exists in the whole, and the whole exists in each of the parts." Pribram's research into the workings of the brain and memory led him to the conclusion that the brain is in many ways like a hologram.

A hologram is a special type of optical storage of information, which can be explained by the following example: if you take a hologram of a person and cut off, for example, a head from it, and then increase it to the original size of the hologram, you will get an image of not one big head, but the whole person. Each individual part of the hologram contains an image of the entire object in compressed form. Thus, the part is related to the whole.

This coincides with the statements of ancient philosophers that the microcosm is similar to the macrocosm (man is like the Universe and potentially contains it in himself). All our actions have an impact on the most remote corners of space, and we get back what we radiate. Thus, the saying "what you sow, so you reap" suddenly takes on a cosmic scale.

Physicists, of course, will say that such a view is wrong, since human actions cannot propagate through the universe at a speed exceeding the speed of light. However, the teachings of the ancients, such as the Egyptians, argue that "thought is able to instantly reach any part of the universe." It is not the Creator who punishes us for bad deeds, but we ourselves - because we violate his laws.

Thus, true morality and justice absolutely superior sapiens and completely independent of the moral rules invented by man. According to the laws of nature the guilty will sooner or later be punished, and the innocent and just will be rewarded.

Human justice does not reach the level of Divine justice, the manifestation of which, apparently, we are not able to realize and therefore easily deny its existence. The fact is that the method of punishment carried out by Nature is beyond human understanding, and people sometimes even confuse it with a reward. This punishment is invisible, it takes place in the inner life of the guilty person.

This text is an introductory piece.

Strength and weakness of the philosopher Two legends are known about the first philosopher Thales, showing his strength and weakness as a philosopher. The first is about how, foreseeing a good harvest of olives, he rented all the oil mills, began to dictate prices for the products of the oil mills, and thus became rich.

The "Weakness" and "Strength" of Buddhism as a Religion Buddhism is often referred to as a "weak religion", meaning several things. First, the absence of a theistic element (the concept of a creator god and ruler of the universe). It is generally believed that the "strength" of a religion is determined by

The weakness of man... What is the weakness of man? In the inability to refuse, in the suppression of one's own opinion, in lack of will, weak-heartedness ...? Or maybe it's bad habits? What stops prevent us from “driving” further in life? We will talk in more detail about the track record of human weaknesses and their influence on character and fate.

Man is an imperfect concept. Probably, each of us is cunning if he says that he has no anxieties and fears. The strength and weakness of a person - like day and night, the husband and wife "live" side by side, from time to time they stand in front. Yes, yes, like in a school lesson in physical education. Who has grown up over the summer, he becomes ahead. So it is with strength and weakness. Depending on the external situation, sometimes strength sticks out its self, sometimes weakness.

Of course, accepting and realizing your weaknesses is the first step towards overcoming them.

Now think about it: do those very weaknesses prevent you from living? How do they interfere? What would change if you said goodbye to them forever? Yes, yes, as with a random fellow traveler on a trip: we talked and parted forever. Let's take a closer look: what specific weaknesses of people are distinguished and how insidious they are in relation to the fate of a person?

Bad habits

One of the human weaknesses are bad habits. Moreover, men and women treat them differently. For example, men, although mostly in vain, try to fight them. But women, who are by nature stronger than men in spirit, indulge their weaknesses. And the excuse is more than strange: self-love.

The problem with man's weakness is that he goads him. Moreover, this does not cause much harm to loved ones. But does he inflict it on himself? And if you think globally and expand the scope of the question a little? What to say about those who are going to live off your weaknesses? Will he begin to manipulate you and thereby achieve success? And you ... will remain that same puppet on a string - a puppet until the end of your life.

Arranges? We think it's unlikely.

So, if the awareness of the danger of one's weakness has come, then we will also consider typical weaknesses.

Uncontrollable fear

All problems come from childhood. This proposal has become so constant that there is no need to explain in detail. Fears are our sensations, feelings that predetermine the sad outcome of any actions. For example, death, death.

If you look at this phenomenon from the positive side, then during fear, the instinct of self-preservation wakes up. That is why in a critical situation, many people remain alive and well.

However, if we talk about far-fetched fears that are not related to the instinct of self-preservation? For example, the fear of being alone. Paradoxically, the fear of being alone has become a “faithful friend” not of 40-year-old women, but of 20-year-old girls. Paradox? Paradox.

Fear of being misunderstood, fear of public speaking, publicity, fear of having big money. In many ways, these types of fears hide many internal complexes. You need to get rid of them as soon as possible. In the work of psychologists, there are a number of techniques for working on your fears. If you continue to torment yourself with doubts, fears, what will your consciousness soon turn into? While some boldly plow the open spaces, you will continue to sit still ... Having achieved nothing and no one in life.

Envy and greed

Even without emotional background, these words are immediately perceived negatively. But what if a person every day torments himself with envy and greed for another? Definitely, these concepts are strong human vices.

They need to be eradicated from your inner state. For sure, they will not make your life happy, rather, on the contrary, it will be even more unhappy than it is. Moreover, being aware of envious feelings towards another, you unconsciously emphasize your own worthlessness, self-doubt. And this makes you vulnerable and easily accessible to manipulation from the outside.

Gluttony

Fast food, quick snacks at work, an abundance of varied food are factors of human weakness. Many people simply forget about the harm if they have a delicious burger in front of their eyes. Overeating is the scourge of our time.

Perhaps this is genetically laid down, when our great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers literally died of hunger. That is why in childhood we were told: “Until you finish eating, you won’t leave the table.”

Although now the cult of healthy eating, lifestyle and sports, many still do not monitor the diet and the amount of food eaten. It turns out that food controls us? Or maybe it should be the other way around? It's not about giving up food. Not at all. The crux of the issue is overeating. Nutrition must be balanced. If you're willing to be held hostage to food, then keep overeating.

Laziness

What is laziness? Seems like a familiar concept. And you can't figure it out right away. Try it yourself: what is laziness for you?

Rather, laziness is the lack of desire to do something. This concept is closely related to inspiration. This is just the result of your mood, attitude, motivation and goal.

For many, laziness has not turned into a mood today, but into a permanent habit. Unfortunately, laziness is one of the weaknesses of a strong person. This habit is destructive to us.

Imagine that laziness “woke up” in you today. She literally "does not let you" get out of bed. You lie all day and “stick” stupid serials. And so from day to day. In six months, who will you look like? For a degraded overweight person without a goal in life and a desire to change something. The habit of looking for an excuse is also part of your laziness. Don't wait to be inspired or forced by external circumstances to do something! Get involved in life right now! One has only to try to "say goodbye" to laziness - and you will see how you will feel tomorrow.

Indifference

Among the weaknesses of people, “indifference” should be singled out separately. This feeling can be characterized by a popular saying: “My hut is on the edge, I don’t know anything.” This is about the position in one's own life, and about the fading of interest in everything and everyone.

Detachment, lack of empathy and empathy, the desire to do good and seek justice - all this can sink into oblivion if you do not start fighting with yourself.

Indifference is a conditional statement that it is impossible to change anything in life, everything is predetermined for us from there, from above. Perhaps this philosophy has a place. But don't you build your own destiny? Doesn't she depend on you?

Flattery and lies

Flattery and lies are quite interchangeable synonymous concepts. Is not it? I immediately recall the Fox and the Hare from the Russian folk tale about the hut. And if you imagine: how many such “foxes” surround us. And how many of us are greedy for flattery? We often succumb to “flattering” provocations, hanging our ears, listening to “good” things about ourselves, and then agreeing to do absolutely none of our work. Of course, it is possible, even necessary, to help out a friend. But when such "flattering" requests are permanent? Often we find ourselves simply doing the other person's work for them.

What is the difference between flattery and compliment? Complex issue. It's probably a matter of fact. A compliment is a springboard for emphasizing an observation. But the pathological invented lie about oneself "beloved" is a common pastime for many people, mostly young men.

Lies and flattery are human weaknesses that are difficult to get rid of, but possible. Real life puts in place both liars, who after a while get confused in their testimony, and those who like to flatter. You just need to remove the noodles from the ears and throw them away.

First turn on the rational brain, pick up the "noodle shooter" when you listen to the next compliment-flattery.

Addiction

By acquiring various kinds of addictions, a person begins to work to satisfy them. Alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, masturbation - this is not the whole list of typical human addictions.

A person shows his weakness and loses even more self-respect and self-confidence when, once again, throwing, he returns to the starting point.

Betraying oneself is an unpleasant inner feeling after "just one cigarette", "just one glass" and "just one time".

I = crowd

Dissolve in the crowd and live like everyone else is an illusion of a normal life. In the real state of affairs, there is a different picture: a person sails through life in an unknown huge ship, at the helm of which is an unknown captain. At the same time, the passenger (that is, you) cannot dictate the destination.

Dependence on parents, lack of opinion, self-doubt, lack of self-control and self-discipline, eternal doubts between “good” and “bad”, liberty or excessive soldier’s strictness of upbringing, psychological complexes, misconceptions about the role of a man and a woman, poor adaptation in society and the conflicting spirit is the weaknesses of people that lead to the "I=crowd" mindset.

Soon this type of thinking becomes a habit.

Self indulgence

This is one of the qualities that has a destructive effect on the character and will of a person. This basically happens with drug addicts, alcoholics and women (although it is strange to put the latter on a par with the former). It is they who make a lot of claims to the world, while demanding a lot. This is a manifestation of the weakness of a person's character. For women, this is a cocktail of inertia, “drinking” it, she feels sorry for herself.

Indulgence in relation to oneself is a kind of permissiveness. Where will she lead? Certainly not the successful and happy life that everyone aspires to.

Effort dislike

Not taking the right effort to put in forces a person to look for the easy way out. However, he forgets that there are no easy ways in life. The value of what is acquired is directly proportional to the difficulty of obtaining it. Reread the previous sentence again and think about it.

A weak person does not need willpower, hardened spirit and constant vigilance. He lives as it is convenient for him, society and power. That is, like an amoeba that lives at the bottom of a freshwater pond with polluted water.

A person cannot live without weaknesses. Each of us has them. However, everything needs a golden mean.

If we take life realistically, then weakness of character is a common disease that affects many young people. Yes, they are on the risk list, because they are just starting to look for their "I". And partly the adult generation has long given up on themselves, respectively, on their lives and their children. Weakness of character and the manifestation of weaknesses have long become a habit. Fear of new difficulties, excessive guardianship of the "mother's skirt", dependence, easy money, lack of physical strength and internal energy are signs of weakness that need to be fought.

You don’t want to be in life that very simple “degraded” amoeba without a purpose in life, living at the bottom of a polluted reservoir?
