The uniqueness of the program "Fundamental Physics in English" is that we offer the study of the subject in a foreign language. At the undergraduate level, the study of physics in English is not offered by any university in Russia. This program is led by outstanding scientists: Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of General and Experimental Physics of IFTIS MSGU Grigory Naumovich Goltsman, as well as Professor of the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), laureate of the Kamerling Onnes Prize "For many years of pioneering research on superconductivity" Teunis Martin Klapvik. Mr. Klapvik received a presidential mega-grant for the creation of a new scientific laboratory at Moscow State Pedagogical University - this is a very large project.
This year, 20 state-funded places have been allocated to Physics in English, and it is obvious that the strongest applicants will receive them. The passing score has not yet been determined, but those who do not get into the top twenty will be able to study on a commercial basis. Despite the fact that our tuition fees are significantly lower than at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University, even this level is not available to everyone (in 2015, the cost of education for the program "Fundamental Physics" at Moscow State Pedagogical University was 174,500 rubles a year, at Moscow State University - 325,000 rubles per year). Not everyone understands the advantages of studying physics at Moscow State Pedagogical University, where the level of teaching physics has never been inferior to the physics department of the Bolshoi University. Due to the fact that the Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State Pedagogical University is not so numerous, everyone here knows each other, and there is a very friendly, almost homely atmosphere.
