Я успела окончить школу еще до той поры, когда вводили ЕГЭ. Конечно, противников подобной системы экзаменов гораздо больше, чем сторонников, но это уже наша с вами реальность, с которой гораздо легче мириться, чем ей противостоять.

ЕГЭ по английскому языку — непростой экзамен. В 2017 году поступить в хороший ВУЗ с базовым уровнем сдачи экзамена по английскому языку вряд ли получится. Чтобы получить высокий балл, нужно начинать подготовку к экзамену как можно раньше.

Как мы знаем, письменная часть состоит из 40 заданий, на которые ученикам выделяется 3 часа, и включает в себя:

• тест-аудирование;
• тест-чтение;
• лексико-грамматические задания, также в форме теста;
• письмо, состоящее из двух этапов.

Стоит сказать, что за первую часть экзамена по английскому языку максимально дают 80 баллов, если ученику необходимо повысить балл, то он обязан прийти на второй день для сдачи устной части.

Workaholics: to work or not to work?
Many people confuse hard-working people with workaholics. Workaholism means that you value work over any other activity, even when it negatively affects your health and family, as well as the quality of your work. On the other hand, there are many people who put in long hours, but still give back to their loved ones and enjoy outside activities when they have free time. These people are hard workers, not workaholics. There is a very serious distinction between the two.
When work becomes all consuming and joyless - that is, you go well beyond what’s necessary and have no other interests or activities - it becomes a negative addiction. Their work addiction is a recurring obsession, and typically joyless.
These days too many people are being labelled (or labelling themselves) “workaholics” just for putting in a few extra hours per week. The truth is that in this poor economy, many of these people are working extra hard just to keep their jobs. Real workaholics have few (if any) outside interests. They let their family lives fall apart. They often have health problems and suffer from depression and deep insecurities. Like any addiction, they repeat destructive behaviors despite knowing that they’re destructive. Many would like to stop, but find it difficult or impossible to do so.
There are key differences between hard workers and workaholics. If hard workers think of work as a required and (at times) pleasurable obligation, workaholics see it as a way to distance themselves from unwanted feelings and relationships. Family and friends are important to hard workers, whereas workaholics believe that work is more important than anything else in their lives. Hard workers can take breaks from work while workaholics can’t because they think about work regardless of what they’re doing or who they’re with.

Should physical education be mandatory in British schools?
Every year from grades one to eight physical education was a mandatory class in my school. 32) Although I liked playing kickball or soccer, I didn’t get anything out of it. Most of the kids just stood around in a group and talked to each other the whole time. Those who did play were children who were growing up to play sports as a job or for the scholarships. I belonged to neither of these groups because I wanted to 33) participate and have fun. I didn’t because I was not good 34) at sports.
I understand that daily exercise that 35) improves health and begins in early childhood makes sense and is easier than trying to start an exercise program later in life, perhaps as a senior. Task 1. Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.

Why exercise is good for you
Do you want to feel better, have more energy and perhaps even live longer? Exercising is one of the most important ways to keep your body healthy. When you exercise, you strengthen your bones, muscles and heart. You also bum off excess fat and improve your mood.
Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain. People gain weight because they take in more calories through eating and drinking than they burn off through exercise. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories.
Today, many kids don’t get enough exercise. In fact, the average kid spends about three hours each day watching television and another two and a half hours sitting down, often playing video games or surfing the Internet. If you can’t do an actual workout regularly, get more active throughout the day in simple ways - by taking the stairs instead of the elevator, for example. Playing soccer, jogging or dancing - everyone can find a workout that is fun for them.

Task 3. Imagine that while travelling during your holidays you took some photos. Choose one photo to present to your friend. You will have to start speaking in 2 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes. In your talk remember to speak about - Вам нужно будет начать говорить через 2 минуты и говорить не более 2 минут. В разговоре помните говорить о:
