Action Day without turnstiles first appeared 6 years ago

It was decided to return the technical orientation of the population in this way. The decision turned out to be absolutely correct. For the first time, the action Day without turnstiles started in 2012, then 8 enterprises joined it, and only 600 people took part in the events.

It was not always easy to open the curtain and present the technical component to the public. One way or another, the production process is forced to stop. To date, more than 50 technical enterprises have made such sacrifices. By showing all the subtleties of the work and an interesting working environment, it is possible to reach a large audience of young professionals who in the future can potentially work in these industries.

The involvement of IT companies in the action in 2018 also showed the comprehensive focus of the Day without turnstiles. The prestige of the technical and blue-collar professions increased enormously from this. The number of guests in August-September this year for the action is estimated at more than 10 thousand people.

Several times a year, the most advanced, most famous Moscow companies open their doors to everyone. Campaign "Day without turnstiles" is becoming a good tradition. Moreover, it is not tied to any specific day of the year, week, month. Everything comes from the interest of the citizens. Thanks to Days Without a Turnstile, Muscovites and tourists have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of large industries, see the most advanced technologies almost at arm's length, learn how goods known throughout the country are created.

Thanks to the enormous interest of Muscovites, the action is being held for the third time this year, - says Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Natalya Sergunina. - Each "Day without turnstiles" opens new doors for Muscovites - this time, for the first time, IT companies and engineering centers at universities have joined the action. 52 companies participated in the current campaign, 23 of which joined the Day Without Turnstiles for the first time.

Residents of Moscow and guests of the capital had the opportunity to sign up for interesting excursions and master classes through the website.

The current "Day without turnstiles" stretched for three whole days - from August 30 to September 1. Moreover, the program of the project becomes more diverse every time. If once the project began with the usual format of industrial excursions, now it is already an extensive system of events of various genres. Tours, of course, are still one of the most popular formats. Moreover, not only for specific industries, but also historical ones. This time, the guests of the “Day without turnstiles” had the opportunity to walk with a guide on a walking route “Around the industrial Kalanchevka”, visit the bus tours “Industrial Yauza” and “Red brick clusters: Danilovskaya manufactory” or start along the Moskva River on a motor ship from the pier on Klenovy Boulevard , becoming a participant in the excursion “Industrial Moscow: a view from the river” - two or three centuries ago, all the largest manufactories were built precisely on rivers, so the facades of industries with the most amazing stories open from the water.

As for the tours of the factories, Muscovites were most interested in factories that produce cosmetics, soft drinks and (mmmmm!) delicious ice cream. At the same time, schoolchildren most often signed up for master classes in children's technology parks - this is a new network of sites where high school students can receive basic knowledge on a large list of future professions, from programming robots to launching drones.

By the way, the format of an industrial quest was tested for the first time at the current action - acquaintance with the past and present of an enterprise through a fascinating interactive. Here, many adult uncles seem to have turned into enthusiastic young men again. Participants of the "Time Travelers" quest were taught how to temper parts before painting, cut metal with gas, operate a crane, and even print on a 3D printer!

Also, two lecture halls were organized within the framework of the project. At the Museum of Moscow, Muscovites who would like to start their own business came to the lecture "History of Small Deeds". Successful entrepreneurs told how to find their niche and create the right company development strategy. And in the Cosmos pavilion at VDNKh, a meeting called "Looking into the Future" was held, where they discussed the use of modern technologies for the development of Moscow's infrastructure.

Well, on the final day, on the territory of the special economic zone "Technopolis "Moscow", the participants of the "Day without turnstiles" had the opportunity to attend a music festival, the headliner of which was the Brainstorm group.

A total of 15,000 people attended the project events. At the moment, this is a record. And it looks like there will be more!

We plan to hold a few more “Days without turnstiles” before the end of 2018, - said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalya Sergunina.

As they say, stay tuned for announcements.
