Observation (psychology). What is an internal observer

Feelings and emotions often play the most important role in our life. If we learn to take control of our emotions, they can carry us through life in the right direction. And otherwise - to knock down and overwhelm us, deprive us of strength and energy, bring devastation and internal emotional burnout. And only you can choose which way to go.

What do you want to achieve?

Work on oneself is the most important and significant work of a person in life, and its results are often subtle, come slowly and very gradually. When you are on the path of self-development, one of the most significant and important elements is to remember the goals that you have set for yourself, what you really want to achieve from yourself, what kind of person you want to become, and that want to have as a result of your efforts.

Never be satisfied with the minimum, remove from your vocabulary such a phrase as “at least for me”, remember that it will certainly be even better than it is today;

Constantly remind yourself of your goal, how much you want it, that you deserve it, use the “dream collage”, place it in a prominent place to see what you are striving for daily;

When you set material goals, imagine how you will feel when you achieve it.

Learning to control emotions

What emotions need to be controlled? Those whose manifestations have negative consequences. It is very difficult to extinguish emotions in oneself and is fraught with negative consequences, but one can influence them locally. For example, give yourself a specific time to express the emotion you want to deal with. And only at this time give yourself 100% to this emotion. If you want to cry - cry, but do not stop yourself - you also need to be able to experience negative emotions.

In some Japanese companies, there are special psycho-release rooms in which there are rubber dolls, sometimes even with the faces of bosses. Any employee can go into this room and surrender to his feelings, beat the doll with his hands, feet, clubs, in a word, unload his emotions.

Method "I am an observer"

One of the most, in my experience, methods for controlling negative emotions is the “I am an observer” method (my own name). Its essence is simple: you need to step back and start observing your emotion, which you currently have.

For example, you are irritated for some reason. According to the works of the famous Soviet scientist A. N. Leontiev, such as, for example, “Activity. Consciousness. Personality” any emotion, or feeling, or pain, always has a specific localization in the human body. This is not something ephemeral and incomprehensible, but a very specific sensation in the body, and, depending on the emotion, this is a very specific place, location, in the body. Pay attention to the picture.

Find this place in your body, focus your inner gaze on it, while the physical eyes can be closed, and begin to consider this sensation and the internal object in the place where you look, asking yourself questions: what does it look like, what shape is this sensation, what color is it, what is its temperature in degrees, what is its size in centimeters, volume, what smell does it have, color, at what distance from the surface of your body is it, its thickness, density, color intensity on a scale from one to five, its density on a scale of one to ten, whether its edges are sharp or blurry.

These questions can be asked in any order, after you have asked a question, wait a few seconds until you get an answer. Questions need to be repeated in a circle, this is especially true when you notice that the internal object has begun to change its properties, which are called the buzzword "modalities".

Ask questions until the object disappears completely and the sensation associated with it disappears with it.

Usually, when a person starts using this technique for the first time, the amount of time until the sensation completely disappears can vary from 5 to 10 minutes, depending on various factors, such as the initial intensity of the sensation, your state of fatigue or inner strength, and so on.

With the accumulation of experience in using this technique, the time until the sensation disappears completely is reduced to several minutes. And along with the feeling, any negative emotion of any nature, as well as any physical pain, goes away.

Why and how does it work?

A common reaction to negative feelings, which also includes negative emotions, is internal resistance. We don't like negative sensations, we don't like to experience any kind of pain, be it physical or emotional pain, and our nature begins to resist in an attempt to get rid of this sensation.

There are two forms of resistance that we usually unconsciously use: active, which includes various actions that, in our opinion, should help us get rid of this feeling, and passive, when we ignore this feeling, try not to notice it, switch our attention to something else.

Sometimes we get a positive result from our actions, but in most cases, the time of this struggle can stretch significantly, we get tired of this internal struggle, lose energy, burn out emotionally. Because Newton's law is triggered "the force of action is equal to the force of reaction." Or the more we resist something, in this case, a negative feeling, the more it becomes.

The “I am an observer” technique uses a completely different mechanism - the rejection of resistance due to the fact that you simply observe without affecting this sensation in any way. You seem to become an outside observer of your own sensations, and simply describe to yourself those modalities that I wrote about above.

The technique allows you to very quickly get rid of any negative sensation, including physical pain of any nature, while internal energy is not consumed, you do not get tired, because there is no confrontation, and our emotions do not burn out.

Try using the “I am the observer” technique when negative feelings arise, get your own experience of using it, and you can see how effective it is.

When we learn to control emotions, it is very important to learn to accept life as it is. Life often seems extremely unfair to us, but still we should not take it to heart. We cannot change nature, but we can change our attitude towards it. We cannot change people, but we can change the way we treat them. Unfortunately, you cannot control everything in your life. And as soon as you understand this very simple truth, you will stop thinking that everything bad in this life happens only with you.

The subject of "observer" is actively studied and used in psychology, psychotherapy, quantum physics, nanotechnologies. The main role is given to the Observer — Personality in spiritual practices as well. I would like to consider the question of who is the Observer in a person, what role does he play in the spiritual growth and life of everyone. What is the process of observation? Why is it so important to observe not only the outside world, but also ourselves, what we have inside?

I have someone alive, real

My grandmother used to take me to funerals as a child. It was interesting to observe my inner state when I saw how they carried the lifeless body of a person who just yesterday came to visit, smiled, joked, and today there is no one who laughs and talks. Only the body remains, the brain remains, in the same cranium, there are glass eyes that do not move and do not react to anything. Who was still alive, who radiated warmth, knew how to joke, who looked with lively and joyful eyes. Why did I feel his gaze and feel what this man felt for me. Why isn't all this now, when I am also standing next to the same body, but already lifeless. From this I concluded that there is someone real, alive, not from this world, because after death we cannot see him, and there is our body - a machine, a robot in which this real one lives.

I returned to this question in my life only many years later, when the books of Anastasia Novykh fell into my hands. I will not say that there was no other information. It was, but somehow intermittent, incomplete, without a definite logical purpose. Here, the answers opened up in layers, laid down inside exactly without a hitch, and at the same time there was some kind of inner confidence: “yes, yes, this is it, this is really a storehouse of Knowledge, real Knowledge!”. Imbued with the purity of this Knowledge, the understanding came that it is very multifaceted and these facets begin to open only when you begin to observe and work on yourself, develop and improve yourself internally.

"During life, a human being is a multidimensional spatial object that is built around the Soul and has its own reasonable Personality. The habitual form and structure of the physical body visible to the eye, together with its physical and chemical processes and control system (including the material brain), is is just a part of the general structure of a person, which refers to the three-dimensional dimension, i.e. a person consists of the Soul together with its information shells (subpersonalities), the Personality and the structure, let’s say, consisting of various fields of other dimensions (including the physical body located in three dimensions).

What is an intelligent person? In a new construction, in a new body, a new Personality is also formed - this is who any person feels himself to be during his lifetime, the one who makes a choice between the Spiritual and Animal natures, analyzes, draws conclusions, accumulates personal baggage of sensual and emotional dominants.

As a child, even before school, for some reason, I always had the confidence that:

  • Our body is akin to a robot that has a perfect system of nourishing the body through food.
  • The brain is a computer, and for some it works fast, while for others it is slower.
  • We sleep in order to recharge the body's batteries with the energy of processed food.

But who looked through the eyes at the world, who drove the car? It was a little man who lived in his head, as in a cabin, and, unlike his body, he was not exposed to the aggressive environment of the outside world, he was comfortable and good inside, his occupation was just to look at the world around him, but what was he for? does, it was not clear to me.

How did "someone" appear?

The thought that no one offends him there, that he does not want to sleep in the mornings and that there are no evil teachers in the kindergarten, calmed me when some stressful situations occurred. Over time, the little man disappeared, and a “someone” appeared who began to strive to be like someone who envied those who did everything easily in their studies, who were ahead of the class.

Then "someone" developed fears and self-doubt. These qualities periodically disappeared when I went to the village to visit my grandparents. There the tension subsided, the negatives accumulated at home and at school left. Dear grandparents poured warmth and love into me, they said about the Heavenly Father, that we all live under him, that we must always remember him, thank him every day for the food and for the bright day lived.

Now I understand that thanks to that warmth, something opened inside me, a bright line appeared, through which I sometimes looked into this world with love and gratitude. But not as often as "someone" - for days he fanned whole mental battles, negativity and disputes in his head. It was my choice, and I chose that little man in my head, whom I ceased to feel over time, instead of which “someone” appeared. The Personality has only the right to choose and a fairly short time on an intergalactic scale in order to exercise this right.

Attention is life! Where you put it is what you get

Everything else is temporary, illusory and does not belong to the Personality, therefore, the Personality cannot dispose of it.
So, you need to learn to control the application of your attention. Moreover, this is the only tool of the Personality. Who better than me to do this?

"A person does not even imagine what abilities are inherent in him. Observation is the first step towards the knowledge of hidden secrets. Contemplating from the position of the Observer from the Animal nature or from the Spiritual nature, we already influence the situation itself and its possible outcome, the predecision in the invisible for us the world, because we make a choice.Each situation is a kind of response not only to your presence in this place here and now, but also to how you observe yourself in this moment.

Anastasia: In fact, we always observe a part of ourselves in the environment and judge not about the reality of the world, but how we interpret it according to our worldview and experience.

Rigden: Right. Saying something about the world, we are, by and large, saying something about ourselves. A good listener will always hear a lot more about the person who is talking than he intends to reveal about himself.

Anastasia: In other words, one way or another, we see the outside world through the peculiar “rose-colored glasses” of the Observer from the Animal nature. The less we work on transforming our inner world, the worse it is for us. Indeed, in this case, only the experience associated with the dominance of the Observer from the Animal nature will grow more, which means that we will get an even more distorted picture of the world perception...

As soon as the Observer from the Animal nature turns on in you, it seems to you that the fact of your control over matter is being established. In fact, the fact of control over you by matter (Animal Mind) is being established. As a result, you become just a more manifested material object, in fact, turn into a corpuscular object of general matter (corpuscle, from the Latin corpusculum - “body”, “the smallest particle of matter”) and obey its laws.

From the book of Anastasia Novykh "AllatRa"

Communicating with people, often absorbed in their everyday routine life, I understood that they did not notice what was happening inside them, they were afraid to look inside: “What kind of inner peace are you talking to me about, if there are so many problems around?” The very process of observing the inner for them seemed to be something unnecessary and boring. Observation was always present, but only either for neighbors, or for a beautiful car, or fashionable things from friends. People only watch others, they don't bother watching themselves. Each person observes (this is the most superficial observation) what the other person is doing, what he is wearing, how he looks ...

Observation is not something new in our life. You just need to deepen it and direct it instead of others to your own feelings, thoughts, moods, and finally to the observer himself.

  • If a person does not yet have the experience of observing deep feelings, you need to start observing the body: when he walks, sits, goes to bed, eats. You can start with the simplest, and then move on to more subtle sensations.
  • Then you need to start observing thoughts, moods, and when a person has mastered this, you need to start observing your feelings.
  • If a person who has embarked on the spiritual path immediately opens up feelings, one should strive to continuously observe them, simultaneously putting part of the attention into observing the body and consciousness, but not allowing the latter to draw on oneself that living, attention meant for feelings.

"It turns out that you need to study that world, it turns out you need to study who thinks in you, who makes you make certain decisions, who causes emotions in you, who controls you. But when you understand that the world is dual, and it is dual, and it's real, you begin to gain the freedom of your Personality. world, you look, you observe what is trying to distract you. And why, when a person has just come into contact with the spiritual, the whole system is immediately activated, which does everything to distract him."

Miracle of Observation

As we observe feelings, study the work of consciousness and separate ourselves from the body, our Observer becomes stronger. Never, for a single moment, think, "I have achieved it," because just at that moment everything is missed.

Observation is an eternal process. We go deeper and deeper into ourselves, but the moment when we could say: "I have reached" does not come. In fact, the deeper we go, the more we realize that the process we have entered is eternal: without beginning or end. We use the energy of observation to change ourselves in the first place.

A simple process, but when we turn it on ourselves, it becomes meditation.

We all know what surveillance is, so it doesn't need to be learned. It's just a matter of changing the objects of observation. You need to bring them closer. I can move my hand without watching, but I can watch. There's no difference here, but I can feel it.

Have you noticed how in public transport many people look at one point, while their eyes are practically motionless, they are completely immersed in themselves: they are concentrated on considering another mental problem that consciousness has thrown up. They can be in the future with some plans or stay in the past, "embracing" with suffering - unfulfilled dreams or problems that have come, joyful moments that are no longer there. Why do I speak so confidently, because I myself used to fall into such a stupor, and sometimes it happened to be ridiculous - I missed my stop.

The state of unawareness - that's what we call it, in which you don't notice much and miss it. Mindfulness makes it possible to be here and now. Everyone has probably heard: “The main thing is to stay here and now!!!”, although not everyone can explain what it is. Why is it so important for a person? At one fine moment, a little understanding came, no, rather a feeling that thinking about the future, setting up some crazy plans or sorting out past events are all dead things. They exude cold, they carry - emptiness, which I closely accept, merge and live with it all day, day, months. Unfulfilled expectations or nostalgia for the past gives rise to emotions, and all this is taken for granted, they say, this is how it should be.

But a completely different state of affairs is when you step back a little from this rubbish and pay attention to the area of the solar plexus — to the Soul, to the feelings. In this state, I can walk down the street, notice the whole world around me, but without being tied to anything or anyone.

An impartial attitude to the external will give rise to inner peace. Yes, deep calm — it pacifies, opens the depth inside, gives a feeling of the world of our True Father. This understanding was marked for me as an “Observer from the Spiritual nature” in the moment “here and now”. And then I immediately remembered the words that: “The moment “here and now” is the Spiritual world. And the Spiritual world is Eternity. Eternity has no vector. She just is. It has no future and no past. Eternity has only now.”

In this state, as an Observer from the Spiritual nature, I have a kind of reserve of time to track the beginning of the moment of my “Animal” offer - to react to this situation (and also go on its short rein) or remain in a state of balance, that is, make a conscious choice and keep feeling. For example, the work phone rang, after listening to the information, I clearly saw and felt that fork-switch, which made it possible to choose where to give my attention - to pondering a difficult thought and unfolding the negative in myself or accepting the situation and staying in an even and stable state. At that moment, part of my lively attention remained inside me, which is very important, but the part was mechanically invested in the conversation!

Knowing how to share attention is possible and necessary

It is necessary to develop the Observer in oneself. I can’t say that I manage to stay in this state all the time. Attention can float away into some wilds and after a while, remembering this, you need to return it again and again to the right track. There are plenty of tools for this, and you need to remember all the time - why we are here, and for what purpose we live.

Work on oneself in the day and observation forms a certain experience in a person. What tools to use to develop an Observer from the Spiritual nature is the business of everyone who has embarked on the True path. But you need to try everything, maybe some will suit more, and some less. My friends and I analyzed this topic a little and, starting from our internal developments and experience, each shared which of the tools became the most effective tool in developing the “Observer”, training the Personality. Perhaps you know them:

– Reading literature useful for spiritual development;
- Viewing, reading books by Anastasia Novykh;
- Reading a prayer and repeating it;
– Impartial observation, tracking the “actors of your consciousness”;
- Concentration at the tip of the nose;
— Meditation.

“We need to control the processes of comparison taking place in our mind. We need to ask ourselves questions as often as possible, for example, of the following nature: “Where does envy come from?”, “What and whom do I compare?”, “Is this comparison appropriate?”. "the same": each is individual and differs in its features in structure, genetics, character, talents, diligence, etc. They have individual characteristics not only in their visible, but also in their invisible structure. Simply put, everyone has their own, their own a cross, one's own destiny.It is better, of course, when manifesting one's Animal nature, to use the motto: "Don't compare, don't be proud, don't envy!" Treat any situation from the position of an Observer from the Spiritual nature, that is, abstracted from the thoughts and emotions of the Animal nature.

You need to accept situations and people as they are, because every situation, every person in it is a kind of teacher. We must be able to learn positive lessons from any, even negative circumstances. Be content with what you have. After all, the root of the feeling of satisfaction is not in the external world, but in the inner world of a person, in his deepest desire. If a person wants to become a Spiritual Personality, then about spiritual zeal and all his desires.

It is important for a Human to remember that the desire to appear does not mean to be. The main thing is to rely on the inner, on what comes from the Soul. Live not for the opinions of other "animals". The best judge is Conscience. Having made a personal decision to watch over thoughts, it is very difficult to allow yourself to hack. In a person, the purity of inner revelation to himself is important, because he is never alone, God is always with him.

Pratyahara practices are necessary to prepare the mind for the practice of one-pointed concentration of dharana and dhyana. The purpose of the practice is to awaken the surface layers of consciousness and create stability in it. Consciousness is affected by 2 sources of instability. The first is the external world (including the physical body), in which everything is constantly moving and changing, the mind is connected to this source through the senses. The second is internal: these are thoughts and emotions, where everything is also unstable. The mind of an ordinary person is almost completely absorbed by these sources of instability, and there is no need to talk about the stability of consciousness.

In order to make the consciousness stable, Pratyahara practice develops the Presence of the Observer in the mind. This Observer can perceive both the external world and everything that happens in consciousness, and in addition, he can be aware of his own Presence (Presence, Existence, Being). This ability is used in the practice of pratyahara. In its embryonic form, it is awakened in every person.

The main qualities of the Observer are immutability, constancy, immobility, and this creates a source of stability in the mind in case of development and fixation in the consciousness of the aspect of Presence. Although it is not easy to feel these qualities without an intense sense of the Presence. In addition, by its nature, the Observer is, as it were, empty, but at the same time full, since it contains the full content and potential of individual consciousness. This "Being" can be called the Aware Void. Feeling the nature of this Emptiness (Fullness) is also not easy, thoughts and emotions will interfere with this.

The essence of pratyahara is well described in the sloka of the Bhagavad-Gita: "When He (a yogi), like a turtle, drawing in all the limbs, tears off the senses from the objects of the senses, then his consciousness becomes steadfast."

At the initial stages of practice, one can use sight, hearing and objects of the external world. The separation of the physical body from external objects and the fact that the Observer is localized in the area of the body is a very favorable factor for practice. From external objects (visual or sound) attention is transferred to the area of the body, the goal is to feel the Presence of the Observer, that is, oneself. Through attention, you “pump” with energy this own Presence, manifesting it more and more. In addition, this simple practice develops a very useful skill of separating the Observer from the observed, which is then very useful for working with internal objects in the mind. It is from this separation that vairagya (detachment, detachment) arises, which is often mentioned in yogic texts. This practice should be brought to automatism.

Further, using the practices of multi-objectivity, when you try to be aware of many objects (visual, sound, or both), not forgetting to feel your own Presence, the power of channels of perception is being developed. This increases the resources and possibilities of attention. The attention resources of an ordinary person are not enough for the practice of yoga. Already at this stage there is an acquaintance with the Silence (Emptiness). Since perception and thinking are connected, with intensive perception, thinking stops, that is, the absence of thinking is an indicator of full inclusion of attention. But when this happens, there is no need to be distracted by Silence - it is better to continue working with objects and manifest the Presence of the Observer more, since the Void can absorb a lot of attention, and the point of practice is to control many objects at the same time. For a better acquaintance with the Void, practices of working with space are used.

This can be practiced in any large open space, as the Void is very similar to space. You are trying to perceive the entire volume of space in front of you and mentally feel the space behind you, connecting it into a single space, feeling your Presence in the center. Space is a very voluminous object, and it fully engages attention, stopping thinking. This allows you to better feel and study the Void, and take root in it, as well as create spatially expanded states of consciousness. In the future, after a good development of certain aspects - Presence, large resources of attention and rooting in the spatially expanded state of the Void - more complex practices become possible with the simultaneous manifestation of these aspects. This takes the stability of consciousness to a whole new level, while significantly increasing the possibilities of control.

All these practices can be performed in ordinary life situations, for example, during solitary walks (only you don’t need to practice anything while driving a car - it’s dangerous). Of course, in the beginning, new states will not be stable, but will look like "flashes". Resilience increases with practice. Despite their seeming simplicity, these practices are very powerful, and it is easy to overstrain the mind (especially with the practice of multi-objectivity), causing a negative reaction in it, so gradualness and caution are necessary. It is not bad to have a teacher already at this level, although it is not necessary that he be completely Enlightened - after all, these are superficial levels of consciousness. Do not forget that pratyahara practices are not practices for beginners. It is assumed that the practitioner already has experience working with attention during bodily practices and pranayama. Pranayama practices are especially important as the mind is connected to prana. The successful practice of pranayama cleanses and prepares the channels of the "subtle" body, the ability to control prana, allows you to control the mind. Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras considered yoga as an integral system: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi. Ignoring individual stages of practice leads to difficulties or complete impossibility to implement the subsequent stages of practice. The first five stages are essentially preparation for the implementation of the last three. Naturally, in parallel, a program for the development of mental awareness is being implemented, which is described in detail in the article, in which the developments of the above practices are already used to work with thoughts and emotions. In addition, it is necessary to develop a specific kind of awareness - awareness of action, that is, an understanding of what is happening: “I am walking,” “I am sitting,” “I am meditating,” and the like. This was not mentioned in the article.

As a result of the successful practice of pratyahara, awareness of the surface layers of consciousness is awakened and improved, the ability to work with thoughts and emotions develops, the mind becomes calmer and more stable due to the manifestation and fixation in consciousness of the qualities of the Observer and the dissolving effect of the Void. In addition, self-identification with the body, thoughts, emotions and personality (false ego) automatically occurs, since all this can be observed being separated, being, as it were, in a “different dimension”, and a new life begins already in this “dimension”, and it much closer to Spirit. At the same time, the possibilities of controlling the mind are greatly increased, which are also developed by these practices. Control is what distinguishes yogis from madmen, and if it is not developed, it is very easy to move from one category to another.

At the same stage, it is necessary to awaken the inner source of Love - this allows you to emotionally balance the mind and awakens in the practitioner a reciprocal feeling of love and devotion (bhakti), which is very helpful in life and practice. For this, you can also use ordinary life, in which there are a lot of manifestations of Love. When you experience a feeling of love, sympathy or friendship for someone (it can be a beloved dog) or enjoy the beauty of nature or a work of art, you need to look inside yourself for the source from which this feeling comes to you. From the source, Love first comes to you, and then to the outside world. Your Love for someone is created from Love for you, coming from the source of Love. We are all beloved children of our Spiritual Parents. When you discover this source, you will be able to fill yourself with Love and Joy without external objects, although at the initial stage you may have to use someone else's image.

This is the most easily attainable Divine Aspect. And although the source of Love and Creativity is outside the personality, even the surface layers of Silence (Emptiness) immediately behind thoughts are literally saturated (illuminated) with these forces. Although, in order to feel this, you may have to change some programs of the personality, which is not difficult to do at the level of pratyahara practices. Many creative people feel these forces well, even without being able to enter the Void. It is from these states and about these states that many inspiring works of art, full of Love and Light, have been written. And often the description of the states of this level is mistaken for yogic Samadhi, which of course is not true. It is possible to achieve the aspect of Love without the complete awakening of the entire depth of individual consciousness, but from this level it is impossible to reach other Divine aspects: those levels of Knowledge, Awareness and Power, to which a person who has fully awakened consciousness and achieved Samadhi has access. Practices of different levels of Samadhi through contact with the Superconscious transform a human being into a Superman, bringing him to a completely new stage of the evolution of the Spirit. But what happens at the levels of Samadhi is often impossible to describe in words.

In principle, successfully practicing the first five steps of yoga, which were mentioned above, and awakening the inner source of Love, you can not go further into the practices of one-pointed concentration (dharana and dhyana) in this life if you do not have a Teacher with a very high level of personal practice , there is no prepared body capable of withstanding long practices while sitting with a straight back, there is no well-developed “thin” body capable of withstanding an increased energy load, there is no time for sufficiently long daily practices, there is no “inner call” to a deeper knowledge of oneself. All of the above are necessary conditions for the successful practice of dharana and dhyana. The first five steps are enough for a happy "inner" life. You can live enjoying wakefulness and gaining awareness, using the vast creative potential of the Void in life, reading numerous spiritual literature that will attract you. The awakened feeling of Love will respond with joy to everything beautiful.

But if you have an "inner call" to deeper self-knowledge, this will not satisfy you.

Recall your recent experiences or quarrel. Feelings and emotions captured you entirely. You were completely immersed in your state, in defending your rightness, your own point of view. And everything that you said or did at that moment seemed to you the most true thing in the world. The behavior of another person is treacherous and deliberate, the purpose of which is to offend you, insult, hurt you.

Then time passed, emotions cooled down and, returning to what happened in a more “sober” state, you suddenly saw the situation from the other side. And much of what then seemed obvious appeared in a completely different light. And - what is most terrible - you suddenly realized that in the power of emotions you did not notice the obvious things and - even! oh no! - you were wrong!

Sometimes what has been said or done cannot be corrected. Feelings of guilt, regret and shame settle inside for a long time, and the consequences remind you every time: think before you do it! Actually, our parents teach us this from childhood. Alas, few people manage to succeed in this business, and the strength of feelings and emotions from time to time takes us somewhere in the wrong direction ...

Actually, knowing such a feature of human nature, spiritual teachers, thinkers and yogis have been looking for a way for centuries to make a person more stable, more integral, less subject to various influences of internal and external processes. They were looking for a way to touch their own depth and find support in life in it, so as not to go astray, not to succumb to difficulties, not to waste themselves in vain. This is how the concept of “internal observer” appeared, describing the state in which a person sees what is happening more clearly and controls his emotional involvement in the process.

The state of "internal observer" makes it possible to move towards your self-realization. Detachment, the ability to be in the position of an observer, and not just a participant in one's life, allows one to feel the right direction for oneself, not to be afraid of it, not to succumb to external provocations or persuasion and clearly follow one's own path. With an "internal observer" a person becomes more balanced, more restrained, aware of the true causes of what is happening. Acts more confidently, clearly, concentrated both in small things and in general in life.

Just imagine what your life could be like if you knew from childhood exactly what is useful for you and what is not, thanks to which you will really develop, and because of which you will waste time, which will bring you closer to your goals, and what will push you away, which relationships will be true for you, and which will only destroy. And all this - without analytical comparisons, without taking into account the diverse, often diametrically opposed opinions and other people's experience. And most importantly - all this with the ability to maintain your own position, not to stray, not to doubt yourself, but to go the right course, no matter what anyone says, forbids, manipulates or otherwise tries to influence you.

It is believed that the state of "internal observer" is achieved only through long training. It can be meditation, constant self-control, focus on awareness. Anyone who has ever engaged in such practices knows how unstable this state can be: while you are sitting "in a cave" - it seems that you have completely mastered yourself, but as soon as you go out "to people" and drive one stop in a crowded bus, all balance and detachment removes like a hand!

And this is not surprising: after all, the state of the “internal observer” is spiritual. And it is not easy to touch one's own spirituality, and even more so to continuously be in contact with it, especially considering how much the concept of "spiritual" is distorted in society. As a result, guided by the wrong guidelines, it is rarely possible to get the right result.

The most proven and reliable way to achieve a stable state of "internal observer" at the present time is to bring consciousness to the appropriate spiritual level. Such work is carried out by a specialist, for example, at the “Breathing of the Spirit” training. Your consciousness is brought to the point of the observer and fixed there as a result of additional meditative practices. Thanks to this sequence of actions, you no longer need to specifically focus on mindfulness training, you will become stable at this point forever and no crowded bus can knock you out of it. At every moment of your life, you will be able to use your new skill and very quickly appreciate the bonuses that the "inner observer" gives you.

You will begin to better understand your life, begin to build it in accordance with your true needs. Become more confident, more stable. You stop being afraid to change your life, to fear that it will get worse - no, every day you will come closer to your present and live exactly the life that you need in order to feel that life does not pass by, that you live - your own life , and are not a tool for the realization of other people's dreams.

People who are used to traveling at your expense, sitting on your neck, using you for any reason, will find that their old manipulations do not work. That you are no longer so easy to persuade, force, scare, make you feel guilty and play on it. That you suddenly have more important things to do, new hobbies and you stubbornly build a life that is convenient for you, and not for them. Perhaps it will be an unpleasant surprise for you to realize how you have been dancing to someone else's tune so far. And it will be very, very sorry for the lost time.

But despite the fact that the former resonance with the environment may be upset, a new one, cleaner and more resourceful, will begin to line up, especially with one's own children. After all, a person who is in such deep contact with himself feels much better others and builds relationships with others more successfully. In addition, it becomes more successful, due to the fact that it better feels its place in society. And all the same “internal observer” will not allow you to turn sour in unnecessary regrets about the past, but will direct you to find yourself and your new life, when every day is not lived in vain.
